Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo is a delightful, romantic comedy for any age. With Selena Gomez starring as the main character Grace Benett, the high school graduate and her older friend Emma Perkins, along with Grace's older step sister Meg Kelly, travel to Paris for what was supposed to be a luxurious getaway from their small home town in Texas. But things turn for the worst when their charming hotel room turns out to be a pig's stye and their tour group is too fast for their liking. Soon Meg lays eyes on a cute Australian named Riley, and Grace is falsely identified as rich Cordelia Winthrop-Scott. The trio land a room in a five-star hotel in Monte Carlo meant for the British heiress, and soon discovers Winthrop-Scott's necklace to be put up for auction hosted by Theo's, another rich heir, father for education. Things turn for the worst again when Theo falls for Grace and doesn't realize she isn't actually Cordelia, and Meg accidentally leaves the million dollar necklace in Riley's bag, who is headed to Italy. When the real Cordelia finally arrives in Monte Carlo, Theo is utterly confused with the behavioral gap between the real, snobby Cordelia and kind hearted Grace, and questions his love for "Cordelia". With Grace's want to tell Theo the truth and the necklace still with Riley somewhere in Europe, Grace worries about the fate of the auction for the sake of the children's education. Will the million dollar necklace be lost forever? And, will this affect Theo's special relationship with Grace? Or should I say "Cordelia"?

Despicable Me

I know what you're thinking, why would I want to see this silly cartoon with so many other great movies out there to see? Well, that's what I thought at first too. From the previews, this movie looked like it was only about those little yellows guys called minions. But, I think they didn't do very well at previewing this movie, because it wasn't all about the minions. It was about this evil, heartless man named Mr. Gru. Now, Mr. Gru had this brilliant idea to steal the moon. But what his arch enemy, young Vector, stole made stealing the moon look lame. So, Mr. Gru needed the help of three orphan girls to secretly steal the one thing he needed to complete his evil task, a shrink ray. But to do this he would have to do something he never thought of doing...adapt them.

If you are looking for a movie jam packed with adventure this is the movie to see. The previews may look weird for this movie considering the people are blue, that's what I thought. But, once you actually see the movie you start to understand the concept of it. A handicap marine comes to a strange planet, Pandora, where you can only breathe without a mask if you're an avatar. So, looking for adventure Jake Sully decides to take the deal with Dr. Grace to take samples of the native avatars' home tree, to do so he has to become an avatar. But, after becoming attached to the native avatars he refuses to let Dr. Grace ruin the avatars' only home. Jake Sully then has to decide which side to take.

Shamwow: trust it or bust it?

Most of you have probably heard of the magical shamwow, unless you've been living under a rock. The towel that can do anything...clean up spilt cola on the carpet without leaving a stain, dry wet clothes right in front of your eyes, and soak up all the water in a cup without having it drip all over the place. Well, let me put it this way, the shamwow is basically a waste of twenty dollars. Yes it's true I do have a shamwow...eight in fact. I don't get it, they give you eight and they're reusable. What the heck am I going to use eight shamwows for? I rather just get one and spend five dollars on it. So let me tell you this, if you want a shamwow your better off just buying a regular towel.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10

Possibly the best golf video game ever made...the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 Wii game. It's definitely worth buying. The game has great detail on the courses and good animations. There is disc golf mode, party mode, two player mode, and a "my career" mode. When you play on "my career" mode your get to create your own golfer with a wide variety of clothes to choose from. You get to play on the PGA tour and the FedEx Cup, and you make thousands of dollars. You might even get golfer of the month. So I'll tell you one thing, if you like to golf and you have a Wii you'll love this game. I promise you, this will be the best Wii game you've ever spent you're money on.

Standing Ovation

If you are ten years old or younger you might like this movie, but I make no promises because my ten year old sister barely even liked this one. Perhaps it was the fact that a group of teenagers called the Wiggys were competing in the same dance competition as little kids. Or maybe it was the spunky, way too grown up Joei. Even though this dance movie is a great inspiration for little kids, it does have some few funny parts for you teenagers...but I would highly doubt teenagers would laugh at the part when the Wiggys messed up the 5 Ovations music video by making one of their people throw up on the lead singer. Although most of the movie was pretty boring, you might want to stay 'til the end. I will tell you this, there's a twist that most of us would have already guessed at the end. But, don't give it away.

Big Brother: long time friend or sibling?

Most of you who watch Big Brother are pondering the question who are the longtime friends? Could it be Andrew and Brendon? Because, when Rachel won HOH Andrew seemed pretty excited, excited that maybe he knew for sure he was safe that week because Brendon was his friend? And, when Rachel wanted to put Andrew up as a pawn to get Monet out, Brendon practically begged her to put up Matt instead; because Brendon knew he could trust Andrew although he wasn't in their alliance.

Also, could Hayden and Kristen be siblings? Although Hayden claims they have a "showmance", Britney thinks they could be twins. She's said we haven't seen them kiss, and we haven't, but who would ever want to have a "showmance" with their twin sister just to throw other people off?

So You Think You Can Dance: unfair non-elimination?

I bet almost all of you SYTYCD fans watched the elimination show on Thursday. Since Billy Bell injured his knee, most of us thought he would be the next one eliminated because of this, just like Alex and Ashley. But no, the judges probably loved Billy so much they actually let him stay by declaring a non-elimination round. Of course, the other two contestants in the bottom three Jose and Robert looked happy for Billy, they probably thought this sympathetic move made by the judges was unfair. Although all the girls in the crowd shouted for joy because no one had to go home, someone has to go home next week girls...actually TWO!!!! So if Billy decided not to dance this week, I hope he gets a taste of his own medicine next week.

Ramona and Beezus

If you want to spend your money on a great family film, this is the movie to see. With the Quimby family in trouble from there father loosing his job, little Ramona tries to help save their family's home. From a "delishous" lemonade stand to a car wash gone bad, Ramona does more than raise money to help her family, she creates a bond with her older sister Beezus. This surely is a wonderful story of family, friendship, and romance.
