After a presentation of involved dimensions, a search is conducted on students from the Republic of Moldova. The results, employing the same methodology as for the North American sample, show that the model is partially transferable to the main principles of a culturally different population, who live in countries of Eastern Europe is characterized by a transition economy. Nevertheless, the discussion emphasizes the need to expand and redefine the theme of external influences, whose heuristic value is undeniably in work psychology and career counseling. Mots clés: influence perçue, école, influences culturelles, choix d’orientation, genre.<div class="feedflare">

EI has quickly become an important competence also in the organizational, business and commercial worlds. The present study aimed to explore how people react in a variety of stressful, conflicting work situations. Results showed that both emotional and behavioral reactions are accounted for by a number of dimensions denoting EI skills, with Job involvement, time-in-job, orientation toward work, age and gender accounting for some of the findings. EI skills are thus crucial in the work setting by contributing to define intra- and inter-personal functioning of employees, and their wellbeing.<div class="feedflare">

Two ANOVAs investigated the differences related respectively to the type of organization: (a) healthcare and productive organizations; (b) healthcare, call centres and other productive organizations. Surprisingly, healthcare organizations display lower levels of job burnout and interpersonal strain as compared to the productive organizations. Nevertheless, call centre’ operators, separated by the other productive organizations, displayed higher levels of job burnout and interpersonal strain as compared to employees from other productive organizations, and especially by those from the healthcare settings.<div class="feedflare">

The Italian version of the Organizational Justice Scale (OJS), the Italian version of the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire Revised Short Form (EPQ-RS) and the Italian version of the Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory (Bar-On EQ-i) were administered to 241 nurses. The emotional intelligence dimensions add a significant percentage of incremental variance compared to variances due to personality traits with respect to organizational justice. The results highlight the role of emotional intelligence and its relationship with organizational justice, offering new research and intervention perspectives.<div class="feedflare">

Keywords: burnout, Job Demands-Job Resources Model, job-related stress, emotion work, work overload.<div class="feedflare">
