If you’re thinking from a Search Engine point of view, then the domain extension doesn’t really matter. It is widely said that .info domain extensions are used by scam sites and should be avoided totally but Google doesn’t specify this anywhere. Moreover, .info domain names are the cheapest.

But honestly, if I were you, I’d stay away from .info domain extensions and go with either a .com or a .net.

What have you finally chosen?

Well, not literally permanent, because you can always switch website names but its a very tedious process.

Should you go in for a Domain name or use one of the free hosts available online?
This is one of the most common questions people ask, because when you’re new, you don’t know whether you want to invest money or not. It could be a small idea and you’re not sure if you’ll continue after a certain point of time. I’d strongly suggest buying a domain name if you have space available since buying a domain name costs only $10 (roughly Rs 500). Alternatively, you can also choose to host your blog on wordpress.com which is totally free but if you are planning to monetizing your website via Google adsense, then wordpress.com is not the right option for you – You can choose blogger.com. In this case, your website URl will be http://blogspot.com/your_username and not www.your_desired_name.com

So, if you’re serious about starting up your website, go ahead and reserve your special domain name at NameCheap

The iPhone 4G will be available in the US from 24th June 2010 onwards, but all apple stores will have a limited stock, so you can pre-order yours if you wish to go on a 2 year contract with AT&T.

For those who wish to buy the iPhone outright (which means you don’t need to sign any contract and can use the phone on any network) for personal use or to gift to a family member, you can buy the iPhone 3GS for as low as $499 for a 8GB model. The 16GB is available for $599 and the 32GB model is available for $699.

The iPhone 4G is still not available for outright purchase, which means if you wish to own the iPhone 4G, you will have to be in the US, and go for a contract of 2 years with AT&T. The iPhone 3GS 8GB model is available for only $99 if you sign a contract with AT&T for 2 years.

There are no news yet when the iPhone 4g will be available in India and what the pricing would be like, but given the 3GS pricing, Vodafone will not price it less than Rs 40,000/-.

So all you iphone 3GS owners, wishing to upgrade, you might as well upgrade the OS to iOS4 and enjoy the additional benefits that your iPhone 3GS can give you.

You don’t have to install the utility, its a standalone application, which you can simply run from your desktop.

The program will list all active PST files for that user. If you don’t see your PST, or if you’re PST file is saved under a different folder / drive, simply drag the PST file onto the application.

The application will lists out password that you can try and you will be able to crack your PST file and view your emails.

Isnt this such a fantastic Utility?

The website says “Aside from docking more than one iThing at a time, the $149.95 NX-PN7 features AM/FM tuning, alarm clock, timer and unspecified video out. Plus, the dock features two illuminated strips (one under each iPod) that can display nine programmable colors. That’s probably enough selection to match at least one of the other superfluously illuminative devices you have floating around the house.” Link

Vodafone has been chosen to officially launch the iPhone in India, and the expected date is the first week of September. So there’s still a little more than 2 months of wait. Once the iPhone is launched in India, Im not sure how Vodafone will manage to meet the demands, unless the price the phone a little steeply, and according to the rumours, the iPhone will be launched at a price between INR 27,000 to INR 30,000.

Now that surely will take away some buyers. The owners will not be restricted to using services from Vodafone alone. It will be an unlocked phone and the users are free to use any operator apart from Vodafone.

Apple has expressed their concern that they are not very happy with this kind of agreement, and they’d wish if the phone was available with an exclusive operator. Im not sure how the ‘contract’ thing will work in India, as its not popular. Ideally, what Vodafone can do is, launch the phone for INR 8,000 and restrict the users to only use their services.

My guess is most people including me, would then opt for the iPhone. Lets wait and watch what Vodafone has in store for us. Though I still dont understand what the huge hyper over the iPhone is, but maybe we can address that issue sometime later.
