New Logo = New Gear

As River Glass Designs continues to grow, we have been able to do some amazing things, including going thru a complete rebranding – isn’t the new logo beautiful?! Rhetorical Question – Of Course It’s Beautiful! New Logo also means – new wardrobe. In fact we’ve already started getting in our fall line. Above is a small preview of the winter line.

I know what you’re thinking: Who are those handsome boys? And what’s wrong with the little ones head? Is that shape normal? Should he see a doctor?

Well for your information, those are my nephews and yes, that shape, if you can call it a shape, is normal. At least that’s what the doctor said. And if you can’t trust a doctor confident enough to work out of a van, who can you trust.

Any who… Happy first day of kindergarten Preston and Happy first day of school everyone else!

I read a recent t article about America’s favorite things. I was shocked when River Glass Designs was blatantly left off the list. I guess I shouldn’t be though, these things are always political. So I need you, the loyal readers of the River Glass Designs Blog, to make your voice heard! Let’s show the world that 5 people can make a difference.

On a lighter note, school will be starting back soon. Congratulations parents! My Condolences children. Parents this is actually a perfect time to renew that shower enclosure and anything else your children have destroyed in their few months home from school.

Here at River Glass Designs we will actually lose one of our employees as he heads back to school. He will be missed – not because he’s such a good worker but because he does things like: sits in the office instead of working, answers the phone when he’s not suppose to and angers contractors, is always doing nothing when we come down to the shop and my personal favorite – he thinks that the old man in inception played by Japanese actor Ken Watanabe is actually Leonardo DiCaprio! Yeah he definitely needs to go back to school.

Don’t Go In The Water!

Last night marked the beginning of a very special week for all of us here on planet earth, Shark Week! And if you don’t know what shark week is, then you my friend are a disgrace. Turn off your computer and go sit in the corner until I say you’re ready to come out. Hmph! For the rest of you, enjoy this very special week, where we get to see one of the fiercest killing predators on the planet do its thing. I know this doesn’t have much to do with River Glass Designs, but… Sharks do live in the ocean and most rivers flow into the ocean…hmmm. Rivers – River Glass Designs… I think I’m on to something – NOPE! I got nadda.

P.S. If you’re wondering how I was able to take such a sweet pic, all I can say is trade secret. Happy Shark Week!

Inception

This weekend I saw Inception. It was an amazing, mind-bending, intellectual thriller. A truly unique movie that was brilliantly executed. But what was really eye catching was the frameless shower.

The what!? Yeah, that’s right the frameless shower. When everyone goes into the second level dream, they end up in some swanky hotel. At one point they enter one of the rooms and very clearly in the background is a beautiful frameles shower, that they show at least twice. Did River Glass Designs install that particular shower…Maybe we did and maybe we didn’t. We didn’t. But we could have if someone had asked nicely, I’m looking at you DiCaprio!

Now if you want the same shower featured in, what is so far, the years best film just give us a call. I’m sure you’ve been wanting to call us for awhile now anyway… In fact this is all your idea… Isn’t it!?

BAM!!! You’ve just been incepted…

Front Row…

Last Night I went to see Mary Poppins the Musical at the Kennedy Center and I had front row seats. And when I say front row seats, I mean there was me, then the orchestra and then the stage. FRONT ROW! The only bad thing is that I was there to see Mary Poppins the Musical. However, in all seriousness, it was quite good. But what really caught my attention was something I saw during intermission. All the glass bar tops were exactly like some of the glass bar tops we create right here at River Glass Designs. I then thought about you, all of our loyal readers and potential clients. I began thinking you could have the elegance of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, right in your own home. Just think what a conversation piece it would be…

“Why Cordelia, what a lovely bar top!”

“Oh Thank You Hillary! It’s the same as the ones in the Kennedy Center. I told Charles we absolutely must have them, especially since we put in the Amphitheater.”

Hmmmm. An amphitheater – that sounds pretty AWESOME!

If anyone good comes to play- like Elmo & Friends or Power Rangers Live – don’t forget your old friend Christian. And I want front row seats. And when I say front row seats I mean, there’s me, then the orchestra and then the stage…
