We've got some great news to share with guys in this latest report of ours. It turns out that your favorite show is definitely going to keep going well beyond this current 3rd season because The CW has indeed awarded it a brand new season 4! The happy news was actually announced way back towards the end of January 2019 according to the folks over at TVline.com. During Riverdale's season 4 renewal announcement, The CW also announced the renewal of its other popular shows: The Flash, Arrow, Supernatural, Supergirl, Black Lightning, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Charmed, Legacies and Dynasty. During the announcement, the president of The CW Mark Pedowitz had some very positive statements to say for the network as a whole. He stated, "This season, we expanded our primetime schedule to six nights with the addition of Sunday, which has been an unqualified success for the network, our affiliates and our advertisers. In addition to growing our schedule across the week, we also continue to add more year-round programming… We look forward to building on this with even more returning and new shows as we approach the May upfront." As for the numbers for Riverdale. The current season 3 started off with really strong Live viewership and ratings numbers, but it has since fallen quite a bit. According to TVseriesfinale.com, The season 3 premiere episode brought in a whopping 1.504 million viewers, and it scored a 0.53 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographic. The most recent season 3, episode 17 that aired this past Wednesday night, March 27, 2019 brought in 0.814 million live viewers, which is around 814,000, give or take. That episode scored a 0.30 rating score. The viewership numbers were much stronger around the time The CW gave it the season 4 renewal. Right after that, they started to slump a bit. These are still pretty strong numbers for a CW show. Hopefully, we can see these Live viewership and ratings numbers climb back up just a wee bit. Season 3 has five more episodes to air before it wraps up. So, it's definitely about to come to a close pretty soon. How do you guys feel about how season 3 how gone so far? Did you like it? We've got some more very important news for you guys today. We've just learned that Jughead Jones star Cole Sprouse recently did a new interview for his new movie "Five Feet Apart." During this interview, of course, the topic of Riverdale and Luke Perry came up. Cole said a few words about it, including how they will deal with Luke Perry's death in the show's storylines. As most of you know, Luke Perry played Archie Andrews father Fred Andrews. Luke unfortunately passed away back on Monday, March 4, 2019 after suffering a massive stroke. According to the folks over at Fox News, Cole Sprouse recently appeared on ABC's "The View" talk show to promote his new movie. Again, he started talking about Riverdale and Luke Perry. First, he said some loving words for Luke stating, "He was very well loved. I mean the whole world is mourning his passing, but he was one of those guys that would rather have us all laughing about his great stories than mourning for too long." At one point, Cole talked about how the show will deal with Luke's passing in the storylines. He stated,"I can’t go too much into the spoilers of it, but we do have something planned narratively. We dedicated some of the episodes to him." So, we should all definitely plan to see some scenes that address what happened to Luke's Fred Andrews character in the not-too-distant future. Cole obviously didn't get into specifics. So, we don't know exactly what they have planned yet. We'll just have to wait and see. Fox News pointed out that the show's producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa posted a very touching tribute to Luke Perry on his official Instagram account. The post contained a photo of Luke Perry along with the following words: "So heartbroken about Luke. He was a father, brother, friend, and mentor. Each night before he had to shoot a scene, he’d call me and we’d talk about...everything. I will miss those calls. And my heart goes out to all his family and friends." As most of you know by now, poor Luke Perry, who played Archie's father Fred Andrews on the show, is no longer with us. He passed away from a massive stroke on Monday, March 4, 2019. The cast is still reportedly facing the aftermath of this great, great tragedy. The folks over at USmagazine.com were able to get a hold of Jughead Jones star Cole Spouse's brother Dylan Sprouse to get some intel on how the Riverdale cast is currently dealing with this terrible situation. They caught up to Dylan out at the grand opening of Hudson Yards in New York City this past Thursday, March 14, 2019. Right off the bat, Dylan not surprisingly revealed that the cast is very damaged by Luke's death. He stated, "All I’ll say about that, not being as close with the entire cast, is that I think everyone is expectedly pretty damaged about it. He was an electric soul, and even in the short amount of time that I met him, he had a big impact. We’re recovering. Yeah, It’s obviously not the easiest thing to talk about, but he was well-loved and there’s been an outpouring of emotional support from people around the world, which just goes to show what a wonderful person he was and how much he impacted people’s lives and impacted our lives. But I know that his family has requested privacy during this period ,and I respect that quite a bit." As previously reported, Luke Perry initially suffered the stroke back on Wednesday morning, February 28, 2019 at his home in Sherman Oaks, California. He was 52 years old. Luke's representative made the following statement to the media,"Perry was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, stepfather Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder and other close family and friends. Usmagazine pointed out that they officially obtained Luke's death certificate this past Wednesday,March 13, 2019. Luke's former Beverly Hills 90210 main co-star Jason Priestly wrote a very heartfelt tribute to Luke on his Instagram account. It featured a past and recent photo of him posing with Luke. Today is a very sad day as we've just learned that the current Riverdale Fred Andrews and former Beverly Hills 90210 Dylan McKay star Luke Perry did not recover from the massive stroke that he suffered this past Wednesday morning, February 27, 2019. According to the folks over at TMZ, Luke sadly passed away earlier today, March 4, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank, California. TMZ was able to get some information from Luke's rep. The rep told them that Luke was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiance Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends. TMZ supplied some other details about what happened during Luke's stroke. He was responsive and talking when the EMTs arrived to take him to the hospital. However afterwards, his condition deteriorated. Luke's rep said the doctors sedated Luke with the hope that it would give his brain a fighting chance to recover from the trauma of the stroke, but unfortunately, the damage was just too great. Some of Dylan's former castmates definitely posted messages on their social media accounts in response to this very tragic news. Riverdale Mary Andrews star Molly Ringwald hit up her Twitter account to write, "My heart is broken. I will miss you so much Luke Perry. Sending all my love to your family. #LukePerry." We've got some major sad news for you guys in regards to actor Luke Perry who plays character Fred Andrews on CW's hit drama Riverdale. According to the folks over TMZ, People.com and all the other major news outlets, poor Luke Perry is currently in the hospital right now due to him suffering a what TMZ is calling a massive stroke! They say it happened early yesterday morning, Wednesday February 28, 2019 at Luke's home in Sherman Oaks, California. The Paramedics responded at around 9:40 am. A call came into the fire department for someone suffering from a stroke. They go on to say that Luke was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. At the time TMZ reported this news, they said Luke's condition is not yet known. In their article, TMZ pointed out that Luke had been recently filming new episodes of Riverdale in Los Angeles, California on the Warner Bros. lot. Riverdale's main set is located in Vancouver. They also say his stroke occurred on the very same day that FOX announced they're rebooting Beverly Hills 90210, which is the show that originally made Luke Perry famous. Luke played the character Dylan McKay on that show back in the early 1990s. TMZ pointed out that his former costars: Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestly, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling and Gabrielle Carter have all signed on to do the new Beverly Hills 90201 reboot. Luke Perry currently has not signed on to do it. We were able to get some additional intel for Luke Perry's stroke condition from the folks over at People.com. They were able to speak to a representative for Luke. The rep told them that Luke is currently under observation stating, "Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital." USA Today provided some additional details about the call that came into the Fire Department. A spokesman for the Fire Department Brian Humphrey said a call came in from the neighborhood of Sherman Oaks at 9:39 am Pacific Standard time yesterday, February 27, 2019, and an ambulance transported one person to a local hospital. Brian Humphrey could not identify the patient by name. TMZ and The Blast reportedly published audio clips from the 911 call. During that call, the patient’s blood pressure was given, and the word “stroke” was yelled out. USA Today also provided some additional details about the Beverly Hills 90210 reboot that FOX is attempting. Apparently,FOX is going to reunite the original cast for a six-episode summer event series. Again, Luke has not signed on to do it yet. When it was all said and done, they were able to finally break Archie free and hide him off somewhere. Now that episode 5 is done and in the books, it's time to find out what the new episode 6 has in store for us. Betty tries to hunt down the real Gargoyle King and has a few confrontations! Archie turns to Kevin for help and more. We'll go ahead and start off this teaser session with the Veronica troubles storyline. It turns out that she's going to land in some hot water when she tries to prove Archie is innocent! CW's official description tells us, "Veronica's (Camila Mendes) attempt to prove Archie's (KJ Apa) innocence lands her in hot water." Yeah, we can only imagine how much trouble Veronica is going to be in at this point. Her crooked father Hiram totally knows she was the one who broke Archie out of prison. It will certainly be interesting to see what he ends up doing about that. The second storyline scoop reveals that Betty is going to get herself into a little confrontation with some of the parents who were in the Midnight Club way back in the day. If that weren't enough, she's going to run to try to hunt down the freaking Gargoyle King! CW's description tells us, "After confronting the parents, who were part of "The Midnight Club" twenty-five years ago, Betty (Lili Reinhart) follows some strong leads in hopes of finding out who the true Gargoyle King is." Who is the real Gargoyle King? That is the major question for this particular storyline. Also, is Betty going to get herself killed? We don't think so, but she sure is looking for life threatening trouble with this little adventure. The third teaser scoop reveals that Archie and Kevin will have a moment. Archie will turn to him in time of great need. CW's description tells us, "Archie turns to Kevin (Casey Cott) for help making things right." Will Kevin help Archie out? That's the big question for this particular scenario. We think he will. I mean why wouldn't he? The CW also released a new preview clip for episode 6. It looks very intense and interesting as usual. It starts out with Judghead saying, "I saw him. There were others. They looked like his disciples." Next, Archie is seen telling Kevin, "I don't think I can go back to Riverdale." Kevin says, "How far do you think you're gonna get?" That's coupled with scenes that feature Archie appearing to try to exit Riverdale with Kevin giving him a helping hand. We'll have to wait until the episode airs to be totally sure about that, but it sure looks like that's what is happening. Jughead and company are seen confronting Joaquin. Jughead is seen asking Joaquin, "This symbol. What does it mean?" Joaquin says, "Sacrifice." There's a scene where Veronica is in tears, telling Archie over the phone, "Don't you make me say goodbye to you, Archie Andrews!" So, it does appear that Archie is really trying to leave town. Finally, the clip caps off with a series of frightening scenes that culminates with Betty telling her mother Alice, "All the secrets end now." Yep, this one is going to be super intense,guys. The CW recently released their press release for episode 5, and it features some teaser information about it. Before we get started with it, we must give you guys our mandatory spoiler warning. This article does contain a few spoiler teasers for episode 5. If you have a problem seeing spoiler teasers, it's highly suggested that you stop reading this article right now. For those of you who don't care about spoiler teasers, by all means please keep reading this article. Alright,now that we've got our spoiler warning out of the way, let's go ahead and dive right into this teaser description that The CW was so kind enough to provide. First off, CW's press release revealed that episode 5 is labeled, "Chapter Forty: The Great Escape." It definitely sounds like it will feature some very intense and dramatic stuff as Veronica makes plans to bust Archie out of jail! Betty tries to save Jughead from his terrible fate! We'll go ahead and start off this teaser session with the Veronica and Archie situation. It turns out that too many weeks are going to go by without Veronica hearing anything from Archie. This is going to cause her to worry so much that she will cook up a very dangerous plot to break Archie out of his prison hell. CW's official description tells us, "After weeks go by with no contact from Archie (KJ Apa), Veronica (Camila Mendes) devises a dangerous plan to break him out of juvie." Will Veronica's super crazy plan to bust Archie out of jail actually work? That's the burning question for this particular storyline. One thing that's for sure is it sounds like it will keep us on the edge of our seats as we watch it. The second storyline scoop reveals that Betty is going to be very busy trying to help Jughead stay alive after he made the crazy decision to get sucked into that deadly Griffins & Gargoyels game! CW's description reads like this, "When Betty (Lili Reinhart) learns that Jughead (Cole Sprouse) has taken their investigation into Griffins & Gargoyles a step too far, she finds herself in a race against the clock to save him." Will Betty have what it takes to ensure Jughead doesn't lose his life in this deadly game? That's the major question for this wild plotline. I think it's pretty safe to say it will certainly be intense. Also since Jughead is one of the main characters, we're pretty sure we'll see him survive, but it's the journey that's intriguing. Episode 5 is also going to feature: Madelaine Petsch as character Cheryl Blossom, Marisol Nichols as character Hermione Lodge, Ashleigh Murray as character Josie McCoy, Mark Consuelos as character Hiram Lodge, Skeet Ulrich as character F.P. After that, we see a lot of scenes featuring Archie experiencing even more hell while locked up in prison. Veronica is heard saying, "His life is in danger." Betty is heard saying, "This is not a game!" Also, we might be wrong, but it looks like there's a moment where that gay dude Joaquin is seen kissing Archie! OMG! We could be wrong. That definitely looks like Archie he's kissing though. The clip caps off with Veronica sporting a blonde wig and creeping up on Archie inside the prison. It all looks very interesting, guys. The CW released their press release and preview clip for the upcoming episode 3. The press release revealed that episode 3 of season 3 is entitled, "Chapter Thirty-Eight: As Above, So Below." It also reveals that we're about to see Veronica Lodge do something extremely bold when it comes to her jerk of a father Hiram Lodge. In the last episode 2 we saw Hiram show up at Archie's prison to make sure he had a very rough time by ordering the guards to give him and his prison mates a really good beat down right in front of the Riverdale cheerleaders. We also saw Betty and Jughead come face to face with what appeared to be an actual monster of some sort! They still need to explain what the hell that was. It was also revealed that Betty's crazy seizures may not have been isolated to just her. More action will continue in episode 3 when Veronica reveals to her father Hiram that she's giving him a shake-down now! Betty and Jughead continue their very weird investigations. Archie gets some more very unwanted attention and more. The CW press release features a teaser description of the episode.The first thing it reveals is that Veronica is going to get a lot of her friends to make sure the speakeasy opening goes off without a hitch after encountering a series of roadblocks. CW's official description tells us, "When a series of suspicious roadblocks threaten to delay the opening of the speakeasy, Veronica (Camila Mendes) enlists the help of Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch), Toni (Vanessa Morgan), Reggie (Charles Melton), Kevin (Casey Cott) and Josie (Ashleigh Murray) to ensure opening night goes off without a hitch." Will they be able to get the job done? That's the huge question for this particular plotline. The last thing the CW press release revealed is that Archie is going to catch some more unwanted attention while locked up in prison, and it's going to force him to have to make very important decision. CW's description tells us, "Some unwanted attention forces Archie (KJ Apa) to make a difficult decision about his future." What will the important Archie decision entail? That's the burning question for this particular storyline. It certainly sounds like it could be quite serious. The preview clip for episode 3 looks quite intense and interesting . Betty is seen getting confronted by that weird, new girl Evelyn Evernever. She's seen saying to Betty, "We're here to talk about you. Tonight, can be your first testimony." Not surprisingly, Betty seems pretty taken back by it. Jughead is seen having a very weird-looking scene with Ethel Muggs. She tells him, "Welcome to your first game." Reggie is seen telling Veronica, "We've got a problem." So, it looks like her plan will not go off without a hitch after all. Betty is seen confronting her mother and someone else saying, "What are you two hiding?" Archie is seen having to spar in a place called "The Pit." During his fight, he's seen telling the other guy, "Come at me. Make me bleed!" It looks quite intense as Archie gets the everliving crap knocked out of him. The clip caps off with a series of different scenes. The final scene features Veronica confronting her father Hiram Lodge and telling him, "That's right,daddy. I'm shaking you down." Uh oh.
