NEIL BARRETT: LEGGINGS SHORTS

2014-05-07T11:46:00.000+03:00

Neil Barrett in his ss '14 collection proposed a way to wear a mini skirt or bermudas even if we still want to avoid too much skin exposal... How? By wearing underneath a pair of leggings shorts!

I am not an expert when it comes to photography, but I think I have an instict about what is good and what it's not...

And I think this girl is really talented! In her blog you will not only see her amazing wardrobe through her outfit posts, but also streetstyle photos and some interesting interviews, all of them been photographed in a way that it really moves you...

Do take a good look at how she combines fashion with landscape (whether this is nature or architectural buildings).

Feel free to share your thoughts not only about the specific blog, but also about photography in general if you wish!

This is my latest blog obsession... Here's a sneak peak of some of her outfits, but you can check all of her work right here!

KANYE

2014-04-05T09:41:00.000+03:00

You probably think this is a men's post, but I have to tell you it's not!

It's actually one of those days when inspiration can come from everything, including men's way of dressing. And I think that Kanye West is a very good example...

LEOPARD

Silk shirt Equipment / Jeans Current Elliott / Pumps Givenchy

This is a pair of jeans I bought 2-3 years ago... I do not wear them very often but I love them a lot, because they are a fashion statement by themselves...

CULOTTES

2014-03-25T11:15:00.001+02:00

Spring's new trend is named "culottes" and it's high heels' best friend... Will you dare wearing it?

BLACK & WHITE

2014-03-17T21:15:00.001+02:00

Jacket Balenciaga / T-shirt Asos / Jeans Blk Dnm / Shoes Christian Louboutin

If you asked me 10 years ago what is the most boring color combo, I'd tell you black & white.

Right now I can't think of anyhting more effortlessly chic than that!

SAINT LAURENT BOOTS

2014-03-06T17:01:00.000+02:00

Those who already follow me on Instagram (@rngfashion) have seen me, about a month ago, posting a photo of the animal print version of the Saint Laurent kitten heel ankle boots... Most of you may not like the boots (they do seem a bit awkward at first sight, I've heard calling them the witches' shoes) but the height of the heel I'm sure makes them probably the most comfortable boot on earth right now...

The last few weeks I can't stop dreaming about them... My dear friend Justyna told me that those boots are also dreaming about me... You think so???

FUR MITTENS

2014-02-17T14:23:00.000+02:00

It all started with the above picture... Nasiba Adilova in NYFW wearing those gigantic fur mittens. I tried not to pay so much attention. And then 2 more photos (below) popped up and immediately I thougt that this must not be a coincidence, and decided to search it a little bit further more...

So, fur mittens appeared on fall 2013 collections in Alexander Wang (a chimpanzee/long sleeve version was also available) and Altuzarra, but actually they had appeared even more earlier on Sportmax fall 2010 and Balenciaga pre-fall 2009 collections.

I'm not going to analyze whether I like the specific accessories or not. Instead I'll let you come to your own conclusions why this "trend" for the last 5 years hasn't managed to establish...

Alexander Wang fall 2013

Altuzarra fall 2013

Sportmax fall 2010

Balenciaga fall 2009

NYFW: BEANIES...

SOCKS

2014-02-13T19:45:00.000+02:00

To tell you the truth socks is something I don't really like seeing coming out from a pair of sandals, but I have to admit that it's a good solution when you want to wear yours open toe shoes out in the cold and also be able to continue feeling your feet...

NYFW IN PINK!

2014-02-12T14:45:00.000+02:00

Pink was the king of all colors in NY fashion week. Coats, beanies and sweaters gave some innocence and romantic note to the icy streets of Big Apple...

CELINE SHOES

2014-02-10T14:22:00.001+02:00

Celine's summer shoes are really something worth talking about! You either love them or hate them.

The leather part is quite minimally designed, but their heels are taking us back to cubism and constructivism... Only Phoebe could have thought of a mix as succesful as that!

MIRLO JEWELRY

2014-02-10T14:07:00.000+02:00

I usually don't wear jewelry... I do like them a lot, but I cannot bear wearing too many of them...

So, when I wear something it has to be as minimal as possible.

Mirlo is a New York based jewelry store with minimal and sophisticated pieces, which perfectly represent the phrase "less is more".

Check out and shop the whole collection here.
