	<p>Once upon a time they were just a bunch of Bedouin riding around on camels, sucking dates, almost completely cut off from the world. Then the Arabs discovered black gold beneath their feet and everything changed. High rise architecture, vulgar wealth and imported labourers to do all the actual work.</p>
