I also used unity for developing our 3D Cartographic tour of our University Library in Cavite State University - Main Campus. It runs with any OS-Platform(Windows-Based, Mac OS and in Android OS). The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is located about 50 km north of the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. It features a limestone karst mountain landscape with an 8.2 km. navigable underground river. A distinguishing feature of the river is that it winds through a cave before flowing directly into the South China Sea.

It includes major formations of stalactites and stalagmites, and several large chambers. The lower portion of the river is subject to tidal influences. The underground river is reputed to be the world's longest. At the mouth of the cave, a clear lagoon is framed by ancient trees growing right to the water's edge. Monkeys, large monitor lizards, and squirrels find their niche on the beach near the cave. Whether you're a Harry Potter fan or a mere fourth-level mage in a game of "Dungeons and Dragons," you're probably familiar with the concept of an invisibility cloak. Slip this magical garment over your head and, in the eyes of

all onlookers, vanish.

This sort of thing tends to fly unquestioned on the grounds of Hogwarts or in the umber-hulk-infested depths of the Underdark. But what about in the real world, where even the "Predator" aliens' clunky sci-fi camouflage looks far-fetched? Well Muggles, science has some good news for you: Invisibility cloaks are a reality. The technology is far from perfect, but we've already reached the point where you even get to choose from two different invisibility technologies.

On one hand, there's the optical camouflage technology developed by scientists at the University of Tokyo. This approach works on the same principles of the blue screen used by TV weather forecasters and Hollywood filmmakers. If you want people to see through you, then why not just film what's behind you and project it onto your body? Granted, it hardly matches up to the personal cloaking devices found in the likes of "Metal Gear Solid" video game series, but it produces similar (though more limited) results.

For a far more advanced approach, consider investing in a cloak made from metamaterials, tiny structures smaller than the wavelength of light. If properly constructed, such a cloak would actually guide rays of visible light around an object -- much like a rock diverting water in a stream. For now, however, the technology only works in two dimensions and only comes in the ultra-petite size of 10 micrometers across.

In this article, we'll explore both invisibility technologies, the science behind them and their possible applications outside of magical quests and sci-fi infiltration missions.

CAPTCHA is a program that can generate and grade tests that humans can pass but current computer programs cannot.

The term CAPTCHA (for Completely Automated Public Turing Test To Tell Computers and Humans Apart) was coined in 2000 by Luis von Ahn, Manuel Blum, Nicholas Hopper and John Langford of Carnegie Mellon University. At the time, they developed the first CAPTCHA to be used by Yahoo. CAPTCHA is a free Anti-Bot service that helps digitize your books. It has a Strong Security, Accesible for the blind people and of course, it is FREE.

Because CAPTCHAs rely on visual perception, users unable to view a CAPTCHA due to a disability will be unable to perform the task protected by a CAPTCHA. Therefore, sites implementing CAPTCHAs may provide an audio version of the CAPTCHA in addition to the visual method. The official CAPTCHA site recommends providing an audio CAPTCHA for accessibility reasons, but it is not usable for deafblind people or for users of text web browsers. This combination is not universally adopted, with most websites (including Wikipedia) offering only the visual CAPTCHA, with or without providing the option of generating a new image if one is too difficult to read.

Applications of CAPTCHAs

Preventing Spam on your Blogs - Most bloggers are familiar with programs that submit bogus comments, usually for the purpose of raising search engine ranks of some website (e.g., "buy penny stocks here"). This is called comment spam. By using a CAPTCHA, only humans can enter comments on a blog. There is no need to make users sign up before they enter a comment, and no legitimate comments are ever lost!
Protecting Website Registration - Most of the Service Companies like Yahoo & Google suffered from a terrorist attack. (not in Bombing) but by attacking of "Bots" that will create and sign up for thousands of email accounts every minute.The solution to this problem was to use CAPTCHAs to ensure that only humans obtain free accounts. In general, free services should be protected with a CAPTCHA in order to prevent abuse by automated programs.
Online Polls - by voting in polls, IP addresses of voters were recorded in order to prevent single users from voting more than once.
Preventing Dictionary Attacks - It also prevent a computer from being able to iterate through the entire space of passwords by requiring it to solve a CAPTCHA after a certain number of unsuccessful logins.
Search Engine Bots - they usually belong to large companies, respect web pages that don't want to allow them in. However, in order to truly guarantee that bots won't enter a web site, CAPTCHAs are needed.
Worms and Spam - CAPTCHAs also offer a plausible solution against email worms and spam: "I will only accept an email if I know there is a human behind the other computer." A few companies are already marketing this idea.

Lycos vs. Alta-Vista

Search engine is designed to search for information on the World Wide Web and FTP servers. The search results are generally presented in a list of results and are often called hits. The information may consist of web pages, images, information and other types of files.

Search Engine 1:

Lycos is a Search Engine and a Web directory, it was born from a research project by Dr. Michael Mauldin in 1994. Lycos is a short for Lycosidea, which means the wolf spiders, who hunt for their prey. Lycos was a successful IPO in 1996 despite a total lack revenue. In 1998 it acquired Tripod, a web site where people built their own web sites.

Lycos withered after the dotcom crash of 2001, when it faded out in the face of Google's domination of the search market, and Yahoo's domination of the portal market. The Lycos company was purchased by Terra Networks in October 2000, and the merged company was renamed Terra Lycos yet the Lycos brand was the US franchise. (Overseas, the company continued to be known as Terra Networks, S.A.) The selling price was $ 12.5 billion dollars. On August 2, 2004, Terra announced that it was selling Lycos to Seoul, South Korea-based Daum Communications Corporation for $ 95.4 million dollars. In October 2004, the transaction closed, and the company name was changed back to Lycos. Lycos remained in business with a new management team in early 2006.

AltaVista is a web search engine owned by Yahoo!. AltaVista was once one of the most popular search engines but its popularity declined with the rise of Google. Yahoo currently plans on discontinuing AltaVista, as it is underperforming.

AltaVista was created by researchers at Digital Equipment Corporation's Western Research Laboratory who were trying to provide services to make finding files on the public network easier. Although there is some dispute about who was responsible for the original idea, two key participants were Louis Monier, who wrote the crawler, and Michael Burrows, who wrote the indexer. The name AltaVista was chosen in relation to the surroundings of their company at Palo Alto. AltaVista was publicly launched as an internet search engine on 15 December 1995 at altavista.digital.com.

At launch, the service had two innovations which set it ahead of the other search engines; It used a fast, multi-threaded crawler (Scooter) which could cover many more Web pages than were believed to exist at the time and an efficient search running back-end on advanced hardware. As of 1998, it used 20 multi-processor machines using DEC's 64-bit Alpha processor. Together, the back-end machines had 130 GB of RAM and 500 GB of hard disk space, and received 13 million queries per day. This made AltaVista the first searchable, full-text database of a large part of the World Wide Web. The distinguishing feature of AltaVista was its minimalistic interface compared with other search engines of the time; a feature which was lost when it became a portal, but was regained when it refocused its efforts on its search function.

AltaVista's site was an immediate success. Traffic increased steadily from 300,000 hits on the first day to more than 80 million hits a day two years later. The ability to search the web, and AltaVista's service in particular, became the subject of numerous articles and even some books. AltaVista itself became one of the top destinations on the web, and by 1997 would earn 50 million dollar in sponsorship revenue.

Tests by Google in September 2008 showed that V8 was about twice as fast as Firefox 3.0 and the WebKit nightlies.

And last May 2010, Google present a video that proves that Google Chrome was simple but fast.

Chrome vs. Potato

As i seen i the video, google use the webpage of allrecipes.com. I dont know why they choose that site. And as the result, Google Chrome was able to first load the web page of allrecipes.com than to slice the potato. According to what i've searched, Chrome sends the rendered page to the video card buffer all at once, which is why allrecipes.com appears at once, and not with the text first and images second. Chrome actually paints the page from top to bottom, but to eliminate a shadow from the driver board, we had to flip the monitor upside down and set the system preferences in Windows to rotate everything 180 degrees, resulting in the page appearing to render from bottom to top.

Chrome vs. Sound

The result was same as the first demonstration. Artist page from Pandora.com, a streaming internet radio service directly off the web on a 15Mbps internet connection was tested against the Chrome.

Chrome vs. Lightning

Again, The result was the same. They use the page of weather.com. Google Chrome wins the test!

I think everybody who watch this video was amazed. Imagine, Chrome defeats Lightning & Sound. I think, it became fast because of their internet connection or the specification of the computer. Personally, I don't believe that the chrome was fast as the video show. But some said, this is a test of how the browser loads the webpage, not how fast our internet speed is.

From 1983 onwards the internet as we know it today started to form with the introduction of the communication protocol to ARPANET.

WWW(World Wide Web)

the Web is one of the services communicated via the Internet. It is a collection of interconnected documents and other resources, linked by hyperlinks and URLs.

Sample of major protocols accessible on the web:

Email – distribute electronic messages and files to one or more electronic mailboxes

Telnet – facilitates login to computer host to execute commands

FTP – transfer text or binary files between an FTP server and client

Usenet – distribute Usenet news articles derived from topical discussions on newsgroups.

HTTP – transmit hypertext over networks. This is the protocol of the web.
