So, I almost became a 30-year-old widow on Saturday and my kids almost became fatherless. We are SO thankful for a wonderful Father in Heaven that was watching over Adam and brought him home safely to us. So, about every 4-6 months, my mom makes me and my 7 siblings write a family newsletter. We each tell about what we've been up to since the last newsletter and submit it to her. She compiles it into one big packet and sends it to each of us. We all hate taking the time to write it, but we all LOVE reading each others letters. Yes, we have a love-hate relationship with our family newsletters.

Friends are a wonderful thing. I will forever be grateful for the friends I had during my childhood, teen years and today. I am also grateful for the friends that my children have today. For as long as I can remember, I had begged Adam to take me on a cruise. My dream finally came true over Valentine's Day weekend. A few weeks ago, we took the kids to a drive-in movie theater to see High School Musical 3 and Beverly Hills Chihuahua. What a blast! Before the movie started, the kids played on the playground. Here is a video of Becca & Brittney on the swings.

Brittney & Keldan participated in the H.O.P.E. Fun Run a few weeks ago. Brittney ran 1 mile and Keldan ran 1/4 mile. I was so very proud of them.

This year was a fun Halloween full of family traditions fulfilled.1. Picking a pumpkin at a pumpkin patch. We always have to take lots of cute pictures with the pumpkins. Our 5-week road trip was quite an adventure. It was long, but fun! We traveled from Houston to Arizona to Utah to Idaho to Kentucky and then back to Houston!!! (Adam joined us in AZ and KY)We saw just about every member of our extended family, so it was well worth it!
