Spring will soon be here. It’s time to charge the batteries and make sure both water canons work. Last year I bought a spare after I burned out a windshield washer pump for the upper water canons. Kids of all ages like to be chased down and squirted by the bear tugboat at the pond.

Yes, this is a radio controlled tugboat I built years ago. It’s 3 feet long, 12 inches wide, weighs 37 pounds. It is powered by two electric motors with a smoke generator. Gingerbread scented smoke wafts up through the smoke stack.

That little GoPro camera was lost to the depths of the pond when my 60mph RC speedboat flipped.

Summer boating fun at Centennial Lakes in Edina. We chased down pedal boaters squirting them with both water canons. The children loved that. The tugboat is is drydock for repairs and new additions while the bears hibernate.
