Remember World War 2?

2013-04-08T18:58:00.003-07:00

Obama Care. Just wait to see what happen in 2013 & 2014! Age 76 Today, I went to the Dr. for my monthly B12 shot that I have been getting for a number of years. The nurse came and got me, got out the needle filled and ready to go then looked at the computer and got very quiet and asked if I was prepared to pay for it. I said no that my insurance takes care of it. She said, that Medicare had turned it down and went to talk to my Dr. about it. 15 minutes later she came back and said, she was sorry but they had tried every-thing they could but Medicare is beginning to turn many things away for seniors because of the projected Obama Care coming in. She was brushing at tears and said, "Some day they too will get old", I am so very sorry!! Please for the sake of many good people. . . ..be informed please . YOU ARE NOT GOING TO LIKE THIS... At age 76 when you most need it, you arenot eligible for cancer treatment * see page 272 What Nancy Pelosi didn't want us to know until after the healthcare bill was passed. Remember she said, "We have to pass the Bill so that we can see what's in it." Well, here it is. Obama Care Highlighted by Page Number THE CARE BILL HB 3200 JUDGE KITHIL IS THE 2ND OFFICIAL WHO HAS OUTLINED THESE PARTS OF THE CARE BILL. Judge Kithil of Marble Falls, TX - highlighted the most egregious pages of HB3200 Please read this....... especially the reference to pages 58 & 59 JUDGE KITHIL wrote: ** Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to all non-U.S. residents, even if they are here illegally. ** Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an individual's bank account and will have the authority to make electronic fund transfers from those accounts. ** Page 65/section 164: The plan will be subsidized (by the government) for all union members, union retirees and for community organizations (such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now - ACORN). ** Page 203/line 14-15: The tax imposed under this section will not be treated as a tax. (How could anybody in their right mind come up with that?) ** Page 241 and 253: Doctors will all be paid the same regardless of specialty, and the government will set all doctors' fees. ** Page 272. section 1145: Cancer hospital will ration care according to the patient's age. ** Page 317 and 321: The government will impose a prohibition on hospital expansion; however, communities may petition for an exception. ** Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates advance-care planning consultations. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an "end-of-life planning" seminar every five years. (Death counseling..) ** Page 429, line 13-25: The government will specify which doctors can write an end-of-life order. HAD ENOUGH???? Judge Kithil then goes on to identify: "Finally, it is specifically stated that this bill will not apply to members of Congress. Honorable David Kithil of Marble Falls , Texas All of theabove should give you the ammo you need to oppose Obamacare. Please send this information on to all of your email contacts.

No Snow?? really??

2012-11-15T11:07:00.004-08:00

I'll just say it...the ones who don't want snow can move to a climate that suits them or learn to drive in it. Seriously! People wonder why every year the weather is so screwed up? Because our planet and it's seasons are screwed up from pollution and other man made garbage. And until our planet balances out things are going to be a lot worse. In the Winter months we ARE supposed to have snow! Would you rather freezing rain? Freezing fog? Hot temperatures while the tree's are bare and the sap is not flowing through it's branches causes diseases in the tree's and where do you think we get air and fruit's from?? Tree's. What about other foods? Everything is important whether we like it or not.

More ranting to come...

Rock 105.3 is going off the air for good

2012-11-11T10:13:00.004-08:00

Rock 105.3 will be officially going off the air at the end of November 2012.
Thanks to Obummer the cost of everything will go up , i have been running this station out of my own pocket for several years now. I have to say i do have a great system going as far as licensing and stream host's go but every dollar counts on a limited budget. Christmas is coming up, a long with much needed repairs on our minivan and plans to move to in February. It really all add's up in the end.

The power company has been killing us with the high rates, TimeWarner Cable has been unreliable and expensive, the cost of replacing computers used for streaming and the up keep on the transmitter all have put a strain on us financially.

Don't get me wrong, it has been fun but there are far more important things to put first and radio/music is not a priority.

Thank you to all for tuning in , it's been a wild ride.
Sincerely Barry A. Sallade

This is where i got my training and met some great friends along the way.
WJVS-FM will be missed.

Scarlet Oaks’ WJVS-FM signing off TV and Media Blog cincinnati.com For the third consecutive year, a high school radio station is vanishing from the airwaves. Earth Day & Being Prepared

2012-04-21T08:53:00.001-07:00

I found this article on my Facebook posted by N.O.A.A. Funny thing about this is I have been posting weather alerts on my stations group page for a year now. Anyway it is worth a look. April 22 is not only Earth Day — it’s also the start of the *first-ever* National Severe Weather Preparedness Week: http://1.usa.gov/NSWPWeek. It’s clear from the wild weather we’ve seen lately that we’re entering the heart of severe weather season. Being prepared for severe weather is critical to saving lives and livelihoods and ultimately building a Weather-Ready Nation. As a member of the public, *you* play a vital role in the way the country prepares for and responds to disasters. The NSWP Week initiative – a joint effort between NOAA and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, along with a host of federal, state and local partners – is calling on you to “Be a Force of Nature” in your community to help people be prepared should a severe weather event strike. We’re asking you to take action: Know your risk, pledge to prepare, build an emergency kit, create an emergency plan for you and your family – and then tell your social network all about it using your favorite social media tools, like Facebook, Twitter ( use tag #ImAForce) and YouTube. I encourage you to visit http://www.ready.gov/severeweather and http://www.noaa.gov/WRN this week to learn more about how to be a force of nature. We’re counting on you! By: Jane Lubchenco

I like the idea of relaying messages about severe weather to friends and family but an article like this does make you sort of wonder one thing, is there not enough faith in the current warning systems that N.O.A.A. and NWS want's citizens to relay info via social networks, text messages and other means? Maybe so, but have you ever played Telephone with your friends as a kid? You have a group of friends lets say 10, one person thinks of something to say usually a phrase, then whispers that phrase to another and that get's passed down the line eventually making it to person number 10. Person number 10 tells the group what the phrase was, sometimes it comes out exactly the way person number 1 said it and other times well not so much. The main thing here to remember when passing on vital information is to remain calm, remember all the details, maybe even write them down on paper (you remember pen and paper don't you?) and then relay the information exactly the way N.O.A.A. or NWS presented it on their broadcast's or website. Severe weather or any other potential danger is not something to be taken lightly, relaying the details exactly as they were received is the difference between life or death. Double check the source and then share the information post haste. #ImAForce
