A música só se faz com talento, é o que sinto quando escuto as primeiras canções deste álbum. E são essas mesmas canções, todas, deste segundo álbum dos Frowning Clouds, que provam uma das suas maiores qualidades, a da simplicidade, de onde nascem as melhores coisas.

"Whereabouts" esta musicalmente todo em uníssono, linhas de baixo e guitarras de 12 cordas mostrando, não só a polivalência dos seus elementos, como uma espécie de grupo unido pela amizade. Isto pode parecer transversal à música, mas este LP é a prova como o coletivo continua empenhado em soar como uma equipa vencedora, plena de recursos e com a lição de bom gosto e muito bem estudada.

E é esse extra que faz o colorido da sua música, afastando-os do epicentro do neo-garage, um local cada vez mais ocupado e confuso, e onde os pseudo garage rockers parecem ter menos boas ideias para me oferecer.

Falando do disco, é simples, Garage Folk Pop e Psicadélico em perfeito estado de composição.

"Into the Ground" e "Propellers", que já tinha sido editado anteriormente em formato 7'', são magistrais na vocalização, "Beetle Bird" é genuíno numa espécie de psicadelismo aquático, "Human Being, Human Doing, Human Going" é nitidamente Garage Nugget, de notar logo os riffs inicias de "Wild Thing".

O disco encerra com "Much Too Much Too Soon" e "Product of the Peanut Butter Co.", a primeira mais groovie no Garage, mas fantástica nos acordes da guitarra, a segunda eléctrica no baixo e no crescer em direcção ao psicadélico.

"Whereabouts" é composto pelos melhores sons de Garage que são produzidos hoje, e qualquer que seja o disco em que Frowning Clouds participem, é sempre Super Recomendado!!!

The music is made only with talent, is what I feel when I hear the first songs of this album. And these are the same songs, all on this second album, of The Frowning Clouds, that proving one of his greatest qualities, simplicity, where the best things are born.

"Whereabouts" is musically all in unison, bass lines, 12-string guitars showing not only the versatility of its elements, as a kind of group united by friendship. This may seem cross to music, but this LP is testament to the collective remains committed to sound like one, winning team full of resources and lesson tasteful and well studied.

And is that extra that makes the color of your music away from the epicenter of the neo-garage, an increasingly busy and confusing, and where the pseudo garage rockers seem to have fewer good ideas to offer.

Speaking about the record is simple, Garage and Psychedelic Folk Pop in perfect composition.

"Into the Ground" and "Propellers", which had been edited previously in 7'', are masterly vocalization, "Beetle Bird" is a genuine species of aquatic psychedelic, "Being Human, Human Doing, Human Going" is clearly a Garage Nugget, noticing immediately the initial riffs of "Wild Thing" .

The album close with "Much Too Much Too Soon" and "Product of the Peanut Butter Co.", the first is more groovie Garage, but fantastic on the guitar chords, the second includes a electric bass that grow into the psychedelic .

"Whereabouts" consists of the best sounds that are produced today in Garage, and whatever record in which Frowning Clouds take part, is always Super Recommended!!!

Este single é um passeio de foguete, movido pela adrenalina das flexões do garage-punk!

Os Thee Missing Finks trazem a arma dos 60s para a luta, e o que se oferece dizer sobre o Lado A, "The Itch", que soa às vezes como o filho bastardo da movimentação maníaca do 60's garage na condução descontrolada do órgão e da guitarra. No Lado B, "Zero to Infinity" é um instrumental que queima lentamente, de uma intensidade latente no departamento das baladas assustadoras do punk. O orgão continua a corta profundamente, porém é cru e áspero.

Este single é altamente, e é uma revelação, se vocês ainda não ouviram falar deles.

This single is an adrenalin-fueled rocket ride of inflected garage-punk!

Thee Missing Finks brings the 60's gun to the fight, and rages hard and mean on the A-Side, "The Itch" sounding at times like the bastard child of 60s garage organ/guitar maniac drive, on the B-Side "Zero to Infinity" is a slow burner instrumental on the ratcheting up, a smoldering intensity in the creepy punk balladry department. The organ still cuts deep though, raw and ragged.

This single Rules and is a revelation if you haven't heard it.

Speakertree Records editada mais um disco de tirar o fôlego, agora sob a forma de "LP", e como sempre estou irrequieto quando qualquer novo disco aparecer e o seu mais recente é "Vesuvio Nights", e é mesmo muito bom!

Este é o álbum de estreia de Adam Widener (Plexi 3, Bare Wires, ...), um peganhento destilar de Power-Pop em energia punk de início ao fim, veia punk dos anos 70 e do power pop do início dos anos 80, mas com uma assinatura sonora muito própria. Este registro domina sonicamente os modernos sons apelidados e fora do Garage Punk mas de olhar mais miasmático.

Atuem rápido e agarrem já este palpitante e airoso disco.

Speakertree Records edited another breathtaking release, now in the form of "LP", as always I´m freaking stoked when any new record show up and their latest is "Vesuvio Nights", and is pretty god!

The debut album from Adam Widener (Plexi 3, Bare Wires, ...) is a sticky distillation of Power-Pop punk from start to finish. In the vein of the 70s punk to the power pop of the early 80s, but with a signature sound all their own. This record dominate modern sonics with their dubbed out garage punk miasmic gaze.

Act fast and grab this now throbbing hard and gracilis.

"Holy Bus" dos Les Chevaux Sauvages, é uma sólida canção de BFTG, fritada num montão e maníaco som mutante de fuzz.

Ambas são bandas de Garage Rock Suiças e que produziram três músicas ultra brilhantes a pedir para serem tocadas no máximo volume.

Shady And The Vamp, "The Other Way" and "Ain't Got No Love" finds the sweet reverbed Garage Punk and sunshiny mid-tempo that I love and can never get enough of. Junkies like I will need this warm sound, that remember an important period of sound that teenage me.

“Holy Bus” from Les Chevaux Sauvages, is a solid BFTG song, with a dollop of the fuzz fried manic mutant sound.

Both are Swiss Garage rocker's and these three tunes are ultra catchy and demand to be played at top volume.

Welcome In The Shit Records é uma editora Italiana de Cassetes, que está editando um lote mordaz delas, de grandes bandas como os The Hussy ou os Movie Star Junkies.

A CS de que vos vou falar é dos Nectarine Pie, uma banda de Oakland.

Uma marca, que parece ser o seu segundo registo até à data, pois o primeiro foi o magnífico 7'', "Dreamdaze" editado pela Southpaw Records.

Sonoramente o pacote dos Nectarine Pie é sobre guitarras lastimosas de um neo-psycadélico drogado num novo nível de alquimia sonora.

Todas as quatro músicas do lado A desta CS são tão groove no estilo ácido que vocês podem saborear o som que se serve dessa neblina robusta e das variantes do rock psicadélico. "White Fuzz" é rapidamente preenchido pelo fuzz das guitarras e pelo áspero baixo que se fundem num stomper de psych noise punk. As faixas do lado B são mais em estilo folk ácido, "Dreamdaze Holiday" é carregado pelo guinchar da guitarra em blown-out, "Dragged Out In Drug City" guincha tanto como a anterior.

No final, este material é apenas francamente muito bom, por isso a não perder!

The Welcome In The Shit Records is a Italian Tape editor, and are editing a scathing batch of CS, with great bands like The Hussy and Movie Star Junkies.

The CS that I am gone talk about is from Nectarine Pie, an Oakland band.

This marking what looks like their second record to date, the first was the magnificent 7’’, “Dreamdaze”, out on the Southpaw Records.

Sonically the package of the Nectarine Pie is about the crummy guitars on a drugged psych out neo-psychedelia at a new level of sonic alchemy.

All the four tunes in the A side, of this CS are so groove on acid stylings that you can taste the sound, serving up these rugged haze of variant strains of psychedelic rock. “White Fuzz” quickly filled out by gritty guitars and grainy bass that meld together into one psych noise punk stomper. The B side tracks are more on acid folk styling, “Dreamdaze Holiday” comes burdened by blown-out guitar screeching, “Dragged Out In Drug City” track is just as screak as the previous one.

In the end, this stuff is just quite frankly good, so don’t miss out on it!

A piece of collection, so engrossing and Recommended!!!

Os The Monsters iniciaram-se em 1986, em Berna, na Suíça e como músicos fundadores tiveram Beat-Man na guitarra e voz, Yves na guitarra solo e Oli na bateria. Mas muitas mudanças ocorreram até 1995.

Só em 1989 lançam seu disco de estreia, "The Mask" e em 1991, editaram o segundo álbum "The Hunch", ambos pela editora Record Junkie.

Agora a Voodoo Rhythm (a cabeça, pernas e braços de Beat- Man) reedito-os, para que vocês voltem a ter ter mais uma vez uma grande oportunidade de ouvir o melhor rockabilly garage-punk trash.

Ambos os registros incluem músicas históricas, algumas em estúdio e os outros ao vivo.

“Honeymoon at Hell” abre o álbum "Mask" e é uma mistura brilhante de batida rockabilly, outra canção que vos vai dar um pontapé em balanço rock & roll é "Teenage Werewolf", presente também em "The Hunch", mas em versão ao vivo.

Neste disco uma das musicas que mais gosto é "I Love My Car", uma canção rockabilly, muito rápida, com influências de garage rock.

The band The Monsters was formed in 1986 in Bern, Switzerland and founded by Beat-Man on lead guitar and vocals, Yves in solo guitar and Oli on drums.

Many change occurred till 1995.

But only in 1989 they release their debut, "The Mask" and in 1991 they release is second album "The Hunch", both release by Record Junkie.

Now Voodoo Rhythm (Beat-Man head, legs and arms record company) reissued them, so you have again a great opportunity to have and listen the best rockabilly garage-punker trashers.

Both records include historical tunes, some in studio and others live.

“Honeymoon at Hell” opens “Mask” album and is a brilliant mix of rockabilly and beat, other song that give me a kick of swinging rock&roll is "Teenage Werewolf", present also in “The Hunch” but in a live version. Other that I love is “I Love My Car” a rockabilly song that played pretty fast and with a garage rock influences.

Agora é tempo de "The Huch", que começa com uma introdução de 20 segundos em "The Creature From The Black Lagoon" uma mistura brilhante de rockabilly que terminar com uma narração que apresenta a próxima canção, "Hang On", uma áspera e fantástica mistura de punk e rock & roll. "Sex Wax" é um instrumental de excelente balanço.

A próxima música é "Drug Train", mais uma mistura de batida trash e garage, interpretada sempre em alta octana, seguida pela canção mais simples, o rockabilly de "Day of the Triffids".

A parte final de estúdio encerra com "Wicked Wanda" e eu acho que esta é uma canção incrível, um cruzamento entre o rock de garagem com a velocidade do punk de ‘77.

A parte ao vivo deste disco também é assombrosa, realmente demonstra o poder da banda em palco. Apesar das boas versões como "The Witch" e "Wild Thing", podem ouvir "I Came From Hell", "The Hunch" e "Honeymoon At Hell" que até hoje são tocadas e representam o melhor do seu balanço rápido em trash rockabilly.

Comprem ambos os discos e logo me agradecem, mais tarde!!

Now is “The Huch” time, that starts with an intro of twenty seconds at "The Creature From The Black Lagoon" a brilliant mix of rockabilly that finish with a narration that introduces the next song, "Hang On", a fantastic rough mix of punk and rock & roll. "Sex Wax" is a wonderfully swinging instrumental song.

The next tune is "Drug Train", a mix of a trash beat and garage, sing along with high level, followed by the swinging rockabilly song "Day Of The Triffids".

The studio part end with "Wicked Wanda" and I think this is an amazing song, a cross between the garage rock played with ‘77 punk speed.

The live part of this record is also amazing, truly demonstrated the power of this band in a live show. Despite the good versions as "The Witch" and “Wild Thing”, you can listen "I Came From Hell" that is a great rockabilly tune, "The Hunch" which the band continues playing their fast swinging rockabilly and "Honeymoon At Hell" that is high gear played and a nice swinging rockabilly song.

Googly Moogly, isso é fantástico!

Os The Sellwoods são um novo projeto de Portland.

A sua estreia, este 7'' intitulado "Extended Play" é um assalto atulhado de energia surf trash e 60s garage punk.

Do lado A, "Mary Kay" e "Sonic Blues" são como um punção que ao escutar se espeta e inflama o tímpano, sons que explodem em apenas um fôlego entre o freakoid angular e o agudo do surf punk e que de certeza irão ser, durante semanas, a vossa banda sonora nos pesadelos.

Do lado B, "Mini Skirt Mob " and "I'm Movin' On", são moldadas por esmurrados assaltos de bateria, infecciosos grooves, rosnados gritos de guitarra que vão instantaneamente enervar até os ouvintes mais aventureiros.

A música dos The Sellwoods é arte danificada pelo garage punk, uma lunática utilização sonora hiperativa e aterrorizante da guitarra que soa como um tonado.

Este é um disco que vocês têm que ouvir. Fosga-se, é mesmo louco e demente.

Googly Moogly, this is fantastic!

The Sellwoods are a new project from Portland.

Is debut, this 7'' entitled "Extended Play", is a high energy filled surf trash 60s garage punk assault.

The A side, "Mary Kay" and "Sonic Blues" are like a puncture to the eardrum ignite that explode with barely a breath in between as shrill angular freakoid of surf punk that will be the soundtracking of your nightmares, for weeks.

The B side "Mini Skirt Mob" and "I'm Movin' On" are pummeling drum assaults, infectious groove and snarling atonal guitar scream to instantly unnerve even the most adventurous listeners.

The Sellwoods music is art damaged garage punk, a lunatic fringe repeat of a hyper activity tornado and terrifying guitar sound.

This is a record that you just gotta hear. Crazy and demented as fuck.

Estes tipos são bons para cara$%lho!

"The Acrid and Misanthropic Sounds of…" é uma bagunça quente estilística que muda de géneros musicais com facilidade.

Da sua troglodita assinatura stomp de abertura, "Ain't That Love” até ao hino que encerra o disco, "Greyhound", em todas as 15 músicas vibram as sonoridades trashy, beat e garage R&B que pulsam para pista de dança, o que me leva a e dizer que este LP é perfeito.

Claro que existem neste disco algumas músicas que merecem destaque, “Don't Tell Me No Lies” uma cover dos The Golliwogs (pré-Creedence Clearwater Revival), "Not Having Fun" uma canção completa no R&B da harmónica e no fuzzed freak-out, "Isabella" uma loucura rock'n'roll dos anos 50, e claro que “Don't Press Your Luck” uma cover dos The Shags, uma das minhas bandas favoritas de adolescentes dos anos 60 e ainda “Gas Money” que abarca todos os estilos que existem neste disco, de onde sobressai a perfeita condução do órgão.

Mais, em todas as músicas transparece que estavam a ter um gozo do caraças quando o estavam a gravar e por isso é que tudo nele funciona.

Tenho a certeza que o vou continuar a escutar por muito tempo, pois cada vez que o volto a ouvir, até agora tem sempre revelado algo novo.

Um dos melhores de 2013? Veremos ... por agora, vocês podem ter certeza que é mais do que Recomendado.

These guys are fucking great!
"The Acrid and Misanthropic Sounds of…" is a hot mess of stylistically shifting musical styles that changes of musical genres easily.
From their signature troglodyte stomp of opener "Ain't That Love” to the anthem that closes the album "Greyhound", all 15 songs vibrate the trashy sounds of garage beat and R&B, that pulsate to the dance floor and makes me tell that this LP is perfect.
Of course that exist in this record some songs that deserve a highlight, “Don't Tell Me No Lies” a cover from The Golliwogs (pre-Creedence Clearwater Revival), “Not Having Fun” a full R&B harmonica and fuzzed freak-out song, “Isabella” a 50’s rock’n’roll madness, of course “Don't Press Your Luck” a cover from The Shags, one of my favourite 60’s teen bands and “Gas Money” that embraces all styles that exist on this record, where stands out the perfect organ driving.
All tunes sounds like they're having a hell of a time on this record and that might be why it all works.
I have a feeling that I gonna be spinning this one a lot, each listen so far has revealed something new.
One of the best of 2013? We shall see... for now though you can rest assured it's fuckin' Recommended.

Banda de Houston, os Mikey & the Drags, fazem um 60's garage rock de sonho.

Este disco de estreia é composto por duas músicas, "Spill Your Guts" e "Solstice".
De secção rítmica sólida, riffs de guitarra fuzzed, assustadoras texturas sonoras tirados do órgão, um baixo sólido e uma fuliginosa voz nasalada com o apoio de "ho-ho's" em back-vocals, criam facimente uma hiperagitação e balanços de cabeça, num sonho de um Garage que não está longe da viagem mágica de algumas das melhores músicas do '66.

Este disco é mais um daqueles que não consigo parar de ouvir.

Surpreendentemente recomendado.

Houston based Mikey & the Drags make a dreamy 60’s garage rock.

This debut is composed by two songs, “Spill Your Guts” and “Solstice”.
With a solid rhythm section, guitar fuzzed riffs, freaking sonorous textures from the organ, solid bass playing and smoky nasal vocal with backings "ho-ho's", create a hip-shaking, head-nodding in a dream of a Garage that isn't so far from the magic ride of the best tunes from '66.

This record is one more of those that I can not stop listening.

Astoundingly recommended.

É um conforto quando uma banda parece chegar lá.
Eu não sei muito sobre a cena musical atual em Otava, de onde são os New Swears, mas acho que eles combinaram tudo o que de melhor existe nos elementos do power pop, do punk de garagem com um pouco de skate-surf adolescente, o que faz deste um surpreendente LP de estreia.

Com grandes letras e rasgados lances de guitarra, a explosão vintage e ensolarada do power-pop, com a dose certa de sumo por cima, incorpora em ataques a intuição musical pura do punk que percorre todo o álbum.

Mas vocês vão notar também que existe um certo tipo de influência Californiana com ganchos de pop em abundância, "Pig Farm" e "Paradise" são isso.

As minhas músicas favoritas são "Good Girls", "Cerveza" e "Liquor Store", acho que isto diz tudo.

Este disco é melhor do que recomendado.
Comprem-no e ponham-no a rodar, com o volume no máximo para obter os melhores resultados.

It’s a comfort when a band just seems to get it.
I don’t know very much about the current music scene in Ottawa, where the New Swears hail from, but I think they have combined all the best elements of the power pop, garage punk with a dab of teenagers skate-surfing that’s make this a amazing debut LP.

With great lyrics and ripping guitar work, the vintage blast of power pop sunny with just the right dose of sweet sauce on top, incorporate into their attack with a musical intuition of pure punk that runs through all album.

But you guys will notice also that exists a kind of Californian influence with pop hooks galore, “Pig Farm” and “Paradise” are that.

My favourite tunes are “Good Girls”, “Cerveza” and “Liquor Store”, I think this says it all.

Better than recommended.
Buy it and put him to spin, with the volume at maximum for best results.

“Stranded” está longe de ser o garage punk da antiga banda, essa merda é mais primitiva e sem lavagem sonora. Todas as três músicas presentes neste disco são mergulhadas em impecáveis ataques de bateria, imersos em zumbidos de guitarras em fuzz que dão a cada canção uma onda fresca de sentido blues.

Uma verdadeira oferta, de uma banda promissora a ter em atenção no futuro!

This is a primitive garage new project of Charmes from the Combomatix. Bikini Gorge is also the name of one of the songs from Combomatix, a split released at the time with the White Fangs.
“Stranded” is far from the garage punk of the former band, this shit is more primitive, and without flushing sound. All the three tunes on this single are soaked in an unrelenting attack of drum machine and buzzing of fuzz guitar that give to each song a wave of cool blues direction.

O que é que vocês querem mais deste surfy, barulhento defluxo de garage vindo de França?

Este disco é o primeiro tomo e vem pela mão da Kizmiaz Records, o segundo, terceiro e quarto vão ser editados pela Shit In Can Records, Born Bad Records e Castle Face Records, todos fazem parte da Eyes Park, uma espécie de comemoração dos quinze anos dos Magnetix.

Mas, por agora o que importa é este 7’’ e demasiadamente bom, mesmo fora de control.

Insalubre surfy e totalmente arrepiante.

“Impaction” é um cruzamento entre garage rock e o synthpunk, empolgado e de reverbes completamente fora.

O lado B ricocheteia a agulha com uma guitarra assustadora que esconjura os corações mais escuros perpetrados na cacofonia do garage. Que duas canções, linhas diferentes entre “Dario” e “Sink or Swim”, dois minutos assustadores e quatro minutos de paranóia demente.

Um single único que de certeza vão querer ter na vossa colecção.

The B side ricochets off the needle with a spooky guitar that evokes the dark-hearted garage cacophany perpetrated. What a two tunes, different lines between “Dario” and “Sink or Swim”, two minutes of spooky and four minutes of paranoia deranged.

A unique single, that for sure you gonna want in your collection.

Os agitadores da Cidade do Cabo, The Future Primitives atacam novamente!!!

"Into The Primitive" é já o seu terceiro álbum e o segundo para a fornecedora de intoxicações de rock, Groovie Records, agora com a co-edição da primitiva e chacinante Voodoo Rhythm.

O momento é de aumentar o volume e escutarem o poder daquilo que pode ser chamado de ruido no garage fuzz punk.

Mas não só, as músicas deste disco estabelecem também como estilo o mid-tempo mais psych e continuam a bater e repreender o hipnótico garage rock'n'roll até ao bom e emplumado vibrar dos 60’s.

Vocalizações em reverb hostilizam os mais finos efeitos de guitarra e os ritmos cavernosos promovem a escuridão de alguns efeitos mais infeciosos.

“Girl Like You” e and “In And Out” são canções ácidas no vibrar surf dançante é carregadas de batidas de bateria com ressoares de feedback.

Existe um sentimento escuro estendido logo por baixo da superfície de algumas músicas, que dão ao disco uma sonoridade uivante nas vibrações. “Evil” e “You Lied” são simples, mas grandes canções, mergulhadas no rockabilly dos 50’s, de um pulsar tão energético que se pode sentir através das nossas veias.

E há muito de feedback-fuzz, hooks para escutarem durante dias, selvagens e primitivas batidas de bateria, mas “Tried To Let Go” é um hino no ritmo.

“For She”, uma cover e obra-prima dos Thee Milkshakes é tocada como ela merece, perfeito na utilização da guitara.

The Future Primitives infundem as suas músicas de garage com algum mistério e ligaduras na produção de um volume pouco lavado, isso porque todas as músicas foram gravadas em fita, com parafernália analógica e alguns microfones que tornaram este disco um ganhador desde a primeira há última música.

Cape Town rabble rousers, The Future Primitives, strike again!!!

"Into The Primitive" is their third album and their second for the intoxicated rock purveyors Groovie Records, now with a co-edition by the primitive massacre Voodoo Rhythm.

The time is to up the volume and powers through what might be called clop garage fuzz punk.

But not only, the songs in this record sets forth with the mid-tempo psych stylings and continues to batter and berate hypnotic garage rock'n'roll into fine feathered 60’s stompers.

Reverbed vocals antagonize over spindly effect-laden guitars and caveman rhythms furthering the murk and showcasing some infectious hooks.

“Girl Like You” and “In And Out” are an acid stomp danced surf song, loaded by jungle drums and twang's of feedback.

There's a dark feeling lying just beneath the surface of some tunes, giving this record a the howling sound vibrations. “Evil” and “You Lied” are simple, but great songs, dips to 50’s rockabilly that you can feel the energy pulsing through your veins.

And there is a lot of feedback-fuzz, hooks for days and primitive wild drum beats, but “Tried To Let Go” is a beat paean.

“For She”, a cover and a masterpiece of the Thee Milkshakes is played like she deserves, perfect in the guitar snap.

The Future Primitives infuse their garage tunes with some mystery and a ratchets up volume with a non washed out production this because all songs were recorded to tape, analogue paraphernalia and a few microphones, making this full length a winner from start to finish.

Paul contínua com a sua singularidade na música, que começou em 2008 com seu 7'', "Stuck In Society".

O seu LP de estréia, editado em 2011, "The Problem With Me" éra um pouco mais “moody jangle”, mas este, "Case Closed" vai mais longe e chega até os reinos do garage folk mais punk dos anos '66/67.

Talvez vocês se recordem dos sons aurais do “fuzzed out punk” e do Surf desses anos, ou talvez não, mas de qualquer forma Paul mutou o seu som e levou a sua ira ainda mais longe, ao ter alcançado tal grandeza nos sons de garage mais fuzzed out e isso é o que podem escutar em “Case Closed”, e que belas músicas.

Duas das minhas favoritas são “I Hate the World Around Me” e ”(Don't Wanna Be) Scene Or Herd”, esta última uma música “cavestomp” que bufa fuzz em marcha àcida rumo ao desconhecido e à ascensão do que melhor já escutei de Garage.

Outras drenam o cérebro e são especializadas numa espécie de “soundtracking” folk que bravateiam territórios que só mesmo ele consegue fazer.

“Sowing Seeds” é uma colagem de sons que vai de encontro ao mais Kinks-esque que já escutei, mas com a criação de sons selvagens e logo mais punk.

“No Use In Trying”, é realmente uma cover dos The Five Bucks, uma obra de eco ao melhor estilo do “quanto menos melhor”, no seu melhor.

Paul Messis tem o seu estilo esmurrado de garage punk que desafia à comparação, mas o melhor de tudo é que soa sempre a autêntico.

Um disco que é para além do Recomendado!

Paul continuing with is music oddities that started in 2008 with their 7’’, “Stuck In Society”.

Is debut LP, released in 2011, "The Problem With Me" was a bit more moody jangle, but this one, “Case Closed” have moved even further into the realms of the ‘66/67 garage folk-punk.

Maybe you remember the aural trickster from the fuzzed out punkers and the Surf sound from those years, perhaps you don't, either way, Paul have mutated their sound and took his anger even further to have reached such greatness in the sounds of the garage and this is what you can listen in “Case Closed”, and pretty good ones.

Two of my favorite are “I Hate the World Around Me” and “(Don't Wanna Be) Scene Or Herd” this last a cavestomp garage that snorts fuzz in a march into the unknown acid to the unknown and the empowerment of the best that I've ever heard of Garage.

Others tunes are a brained drainage, specialized in soundtracking the folk punk out of huffing territory that only he can do.

“Sowing Seeds” sound collaging found sounds with Kinks-esque but with a creation of sounds more punk and wild.

“No Use In Trying”, a really cover of The Five Bucks, is a echo work of "less is more", at its finest.

Paul Messis have their garage pummel into some seriously garage punk that defies comparison, but the best of it is that it always sounds authentic.

A record that is beyond Recommended!

Este 7’’ é completamente mortal, fluido no groove d Garage e de influências devastadoras que saltam do que de mais e melhor foi feito de “Nuggets” nos 60’s.

Absolutamente arrasador na vocalização, as melodias das guitarras rastejam em padrões alternados, saltam de todas as canções irrompendo os picos da maior alegria Garage-a-holic, tudo acompanhado por uma apertada secção rítmica que nos espanca.

Do lado A, “Only You” é contundente no fuzz mais estático e cravado por uma harmônica de sabores R&B, “He's Got It” tem um órgão hipnótico, mas ambas expõem uma percussão tão jangly que inunda totalmente a nossa cabeça.

No lado B, voltamos a ter prazer. E voltam a ser malditos os 60’s.

De reverbs mais pantanosos, a matéria de facto são as harmonias a pregar cada detalhe do garage punk.

Duas canções bem distintas uma da outra, sendo que “Bait” é caleidoscópica no órgão, irrompido pelos revebs da guitarra de uma forma abruptamente melódica.

Ambos os lados obrigam-nos a voltar a escutá-los vezes e vezes sem conta

É facilmente um dos melhores discos que eu escutei este ano!
Recomendado? Não, é fodidamente Obrigatório!

This is a killer 7’’, fluid Garage groove with a fluency cream from the 60´s in the Nuggets of the 60’s.

Absolutely mind blowing vocal and guitar melodies that snake into alternating patterns that burst into Garage-a-holic and a tight as fuck rhythm section providing the punch.

In the A side, “Only You” is striking in more static fuzz and and spiked by a R&B harmonic flavors, “He's Got It” contains an hypnotic organ, but both expose a jangly percussion so full that floods our head.

On the B side we get totally another ear pleaser per sure. It's like frickin' 60’s.

More swampy reverbs, the facts are the harmonies to preach every detail of garage punk.

Two songs distinct from one another being that “Bait” is kaleidoscopic in organ, unerupted by guitar revebs in a sharply melodic.

Bout sides just keep demanding to be replayed again and again and again.

This is easily one of the best singles I've heard this year!

Recommended? No, it's fucking Required!!

Esta banda de Vancouver, os Dead Ghosts vem editando músicas de alta qualidade há já um bom punhado de tempo.

As músicas deste 7'' foram gravadas em 2009 e 2008, e são uma baforada de ar vibrante vinda da idade de ouro dos anos sessenta, de chocalhar pop-psicadélico mas com um sentido definido de um futuro nublado e entusiasmo cru.

"I Sleep Alone" tem o sol cintilante liderado pelo brilho dos acordes da guitarra. Há uma tendência melancólica meio flexionada pela agitação pop.

Do outro lado, "Spot a Trend" zumbe de uma forma mais activa com os reverbs das guitarras distorcidas e os uivos cavernosos.

Realmente um disco com dois lados muito sólidos.

This Vancouver band, The Dead Ghosts has been releasing high quality tunes for quite some time.

The songs on this 7'' was recorded in 2009 and 2008, and is a definite whiffs of the vibrant air of Sixties golden age with is jangling pop-psyche, but with a definite sense of an overcast future and a raw enthusiasm.

"I Sleep Alone" has sunshine shimmering guitar lead. There's a melancholic undercurrent amidst inflected pop unrest.

The flip, "Spot a Trend" drones in a more hot-wired with reverberating distorted guitars and cavernous howls.

A really solid two sided.

Talvez esta seja a melhor reedições do ano. Estes Garage Punk Rockers andavam um pouco perdidos até 86, quando a Fred Records os cravou e editou este LP, uma compilação do seu Punk que foi explodindo musicalmente de '76 a '84. Os Penetrators vêm de Syracuse, Nova York e reuniram na sua música o punk ao longo de uma versão distorcida dos anos 60, no melhor estilo de Garage que se centrou na delinquência juvenil e nas gravações verdadeiramente de garagem com o som certo.

É um verdadeiro prazer ter "Kings of Basement Rock" novamente disponíveis para que toda uma nova geração de pessoas possam descobrir as nuances hábeis do Garage e as infecções Punk de uma das mais incríveis bandas dos finais dos anos 70.

É inacreditável com este material é intemporal.

Altamente recomendado.

Maybe the best reissues of the year. These Garage Punks Rockers have been lost until ’86, when Fred Records dug them up and edited this LP, a compilation of their Punk exploding songs from ‘76 to ‘84. The Penetrators hail from Syracuse, New York and they summon the punk along a twisted version of is 60s Garage style, centred in a basement juvenile delinquency that makes truly garage recordings sound right.

It's a real treat to have “Kings of Basement Rock” available again for a whole new generation of people discover the subtle nuances of the garage and infections from the Punk tunes one of the most amazing bands of the late 70s.

It is unbelievable with this stuff is timeless.

One of the most influential bands of the "instrumental-surf-rock", The Satan's Pilgrims return after ten years of their last record of originals, the new record is entitled "Psychspoiltation" and contains 13 amazing strong songs, full of fun and with great surprises.

Preparem-se, porque este disco dos Social End Products, o seu LP de estréia, "Nutre Tu Cabeza" é nada menos que um alucinante ácido e apocalíptico surto de garage punk psicadélico delinquente!

Como a maioria de vocês já sabem eles vem da Grécia, tendo explodido na minha cabeça em 2011, com o seu primeiro disco, "Ego Trip", um 7'' que contêm quatro canções poderosas de gaarge punk e reverbs ácidos com persistência mistica na vocalização.

Este LP não difere muito disto. Na verdade, é musicalmente muito mais completo.

Os tempos em algumas músicas, como "Broken Mirror", "Rooted Like a Tree" e "Sad Parade" são um pouco mais lentas e a entrega vocal é menos frenética, mas a guitarra continua o seu passeio e aos tiros como se fosse uma shotgun.

"I'm Strange", "Slit your Wrist", "Gotta Feed My Head" e “Threw My Heart To The Dogs” soam mais a Social End Products, aos que estava mais acostumado, o turbilhão buzzsaw ácido da guitarra, o pisotear do baixo e a turbulência da bateria criam uma parede sonora de punk psicadélico ameaçador.

Como eu disse atrás, este álbum é mais completo, porque as outras músicas são compostas por uma loucura dançante de surf folk, “Rise From The Dead” e “She's Off Drugs, She's So Boring” são enormes.

As most of you already know they hails from the Greece, and they blow my head in 2011 with is first record, “Ego Trip” a 7’’ that contain 4 powerfull song on a acid garage punk reverb and mistic persistence on the vocalization.

This LP ain't no differn't. Actually, it's musically quite more complete.

The tempos in some songs, as "Broken Mirror", “Rooted Like a Tree” and “Sad Parade” are a little slower and the vocal delivery is less frantic but the guitar still rides like a shotgun.

"I'm Strange", "Slit your Wrist", "Gotta Feed My Head" and “Threw My Heart To The Dogs” sounds more like the Social End Products I've accustomed to, the acid buzzsaw whirlwind from the guitar, bass stomping, and rowdy drumming makes a wall of menacing psychedelic punk.

As I said behind, this record is more complete, this because the other songs in it have a kinda danceable surf folk stomp madness, “Rise From The Dead” and “She's Off Drugs, She's So Boring” are huge.
