With their new studio album, Infidel, hitting streets on August 18th 2009, US war metal legends AT WAR are pleased to give fans a taste of what they can expect with the unveiling of the eponymous track “At War”. Their first new studio album in over 20 years, Infidel is certain to rank amongst AT WAR’s esteemed discography as the band’s most brutal and uncompromising work to date. The previewed track “At War” is one of nine tracks featured on Infidel- nine tracks of pure war metal the likes of which can only be delivered by AT WAR.

Formed in 1983 by guitarist Shawn Helsel, bassist and vocalist Paul Arnold and drummer Dave Stone AT WAR went on to solidify themselves as one premier metal bands in the American underground. After the reviews and college radio play of their 1985 demo Eat Lead, AT WAR went on to release their albums Ordered to Kill (1986) and Retaliatory Strike (1987) for New Renaissance Records. A follow up to Retaliatory Strike was recorded in 1994 but ultimately scrapped which prompted AT WAR to go on an indefinite hiatus only to have the beast awaken from its slumber in 2006 to begin working the material that would become Infidel. Throughout 2007 and 2008, a series of triumphant US shows and festival appearances in Europe and Mexico showed AT WAR at the top of their game and unphased by the passage of time or musical trends. Earlier this year AT WAR once again entered Pyramid Sound to record Infidel with Alex Perialas known for not only has work on AT WAR’S seminal 1987 album Retaliatory Stike but for genre defining albums by such bands as ANTHRAX, TESTAMENT, OVERKILL, NUCLEAR ASSUALT, ETC. Infidel’s stunning cover artwork comes courtesy of legendary illustrator and photographer Claudio Bergamin.

Upcoming AT WAR shows:
- July 24th @ Volume 11 in Raleigh , NC with Mobile Death Camp, Kiff, and Armored Uprising
- July 25th @ Alley Katz in Richmond VA with Beyond Fallen and guests.

Talk about releasing new stuff all the time, and I can only say that it is good. Sister have been working hard with the new style. Skip the bubble-gum glam metal and go for the heavier, much edgier style that they have created in the past months.
The new Sister is a blend with the old school Sister á la “Down on your Knees” and Wednesday 13, which is like chocolate in your mouth while craving for it.

I can only say that Sister only have to work hard to keep this even rhythm of awesomeness.

And their awesomeness can only be dignified by listening too the 2 new songs on their myspace: “I don’t mind if you Die” and “Crash Boom Bang”.
Check them out on: http://www.myspace.com/sisteronline

Blistering Records is proud to announce the signing of Swedish hard rockers THE POODLES for the European territory (excluding Sweden).

Founded in late 2005 things moved rapidly for The Poodles with the band entering the Swedish leg of the Eurovision Song Contest which led to the big breakthrough in their native country.

The debut album “Metal Will Stand Tall”, climbed to the top of the Swedish charts. The first single “Night of Passion”, went gold after only three weeks and platinum not long after. The band played over 100 shows in Sweden before heading out on a European tour with HAMMERFALL and KROKUS that took them through 31 dates and 18 countries.

The sophomore album “Sweet Trade” was released in late 2007 with the second single “Streets of Fire” becoming the band’s biggest seller to date by going double platinum.

Shortly after The Poodles headed out on yet another tour around Europe, this time with Swiss hard rockers GOTTHARD. This was followed by their own headline tour in the spring of 2008 with 17 sold-out shows throughout Europe. 2008 also saw The Poodles participate a second time in the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest plus getting the honor of performing the official Swedish theme song for the Olympic Games in Beijing, China.

On “Clash of the Elements” the band has worked with some of the giants in the music industry – including legendary producer/engineer Mike Fraser (Aerosmith, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake). The band is currently on a tour that will take them all over Sweden until the end of August with a full-scale European tour to follow later in the year. The album will be released in Europe on August 28th by BLISTERING RECORDS with promotional preparations already in full spin.

Make no mistake! The Poodles are shooting for the stars with this one!

I just found this video for Sisters new song “Too bad for You”, one hell of a song by the way, much heavier and the attitude is awesome, talking about accelerating their career with a new style.

Well I don’t wanna keep you waiting, check out the video below:

Oh, yeah, I have been busy moving out from my parents house, at the age of 20. So I am all alone in my apartment right now, watching “The Wrestler”, which is one hell of a movie, best movie of the year so far. Lots of good songs innit, worth checking out.
Hopefully I will be a little more active, and I hope the other dudes will be as well.
