RooT CauSe is a five-piece acoustic band based in Chicago. Their catalog of melodic, well-crafted and deftly performed material showcases both their songwriting ability and penchant for delivering sincere, authentic lyrical content to the listener.

With its individual members having backgrounds spanning pop, alternative, country, bluegrass, metal and R&B the group is a dynamic collaboration and demonstrates unique chemistry. Though their material could be described as Americana, RooT CauSe effectively stretches the genre by melding seemingly disparate influences to form a contemporary rock sound having a deep groove and lots of intensity.

Starting a few years ago as an acoustic trio, the band recently added electric bass and drums to further flesh out their sound. While continuing to write and record, they have also been performing locally and have enjoyed recent success at local showcases (Chicago Acoustic Underground, MOBfest). Collectively and individually, members of RooT CauSe have toured regionally with national acts and also have performed at venues including Chicago’s House of Blues, Martyr’s, The Morse Theatre, The Rave (Milwaukee) and Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The band brings incredible presence and vibe with them to their performances and after witnessing a show, you’ll understand why RooT CauSe is slowly becoming the talk around Chicago’s acoustic music scene.
