A three disc collection of films that involve the arrival of Aliens on Earth, featuring a wide range of Aliens from a variety of Planets and various dimensions.
For anyone who grew up in the Fifties and Sixties there was always a Friday night screening of Sci-fi movies which scared the pants off us and only made us crave for more. After our parents had gone to bed we would sit glued to the television as monsters and aliens took over the screen. In today’s world films like these can’t be made anymore, science has taken away many of the myths of space and aliens which made these films so great. Today it is easy to laugh and dismiss these movies but it is a view of the future as seen from another time, a time when many believed invasion from space was a distinct possibility and special effects were in their infancy.

Sometimes dismissed as the poor man’s Wild Women Of Wongo, Prehistoric Women really holds a place of its own in the hearts of the fans of this genre.
Made eight years earlier than Wongo it has great educational value showing us the invention of fire, cooking, shaving, tree
houses, the swan dive and Womens Liberation. Its influence on Wongo cannot be denied – both films leading male character are named Engor and both include a female dominance theme. Once again ignored by the Academy Awards in 1950 with best picture going to All About Eve.
HOWEVER WOMEN STILL RULE.

During the 1950’s the concerned film makers of America set out on a mission to save their corrupted youth by making a series of films that would examine their wild and reckless life style that was sure to end in tragedy.

The film makers made many documentaries and short films to be shown in schools to warn the kids of the post war generation of the dangers that lay in store if you let go of your standards.
These films covered such diverse topics as Sex Education, Dating, Drug Abuse and on this DVD, Juvenile Delinquency. Take a trip back to the school rooms of the fifties and see the films that may have damaged rather than helped the youth of the world.
This three disc collection of cult gang films, never seen before on DVD, includes an 8 page booklet telling the story of the films, the stars and the directors.

In 1952 Republic produced its most expensive serial to date. The making of Radar Men From The Moon involved a new standard of special effects created by the Lydecker Brothers and a story line so exciting it would offer the opportunity to use thousands of feet of stock footage. Hollywood’s finest stunt men would painfully choreograph fight scenes in which no piece of furniture was safe.

Starring Commando Cody (dressed suitably for the Moon’s surface in aluminum helmet, leather jacket, woollen slacks and shoes) as the only man who can save the Earth. Cody bumbles along losing valuable equipment, constantly putting his staff in life threatening situations and losing the majority of the fist fights. The terrible threat of Moon Attack is finally quashed. The Moon Men (whose biggest problem seems to be their inability to gain control over their financial affairs) are destroyed and peace returns to the Earth.

For decades Governments, Church Groups, Medical Societies and all round do-gooders have been trying to educate teenagers about the evils of drugs.
Then there’s the Film Makers…

Although in many cases their motives were honourable some were debatable and seem to be more involved in showing various forms of debauchery on the screen than sending out a genuine warning. Others had no idea of the actual effects on the body and portray Marijuana as leading to murder, rape, suicide and swallowing glass.
This collection contains some of the most outrageous, imaginative and ridiculous of these films and also a couple that were quite constructive.

We’ve also provided a booklet to tell you the story of the films and the people who made them.
