I'm not in computer maintenance, more in development and evaluation, and I'm not using Windows but Linux. At home I use Apple computers, not because they're good looking, but because the run fine. No need to re-install everything each and every 20 microseconds.

The problem comes when anyone percieves you as a "computer guy". Most people seem to think that as I'm working with computer, I'm automatically qualified to fix any problem they have with their private computers.

THIS IS NOT THE TRUTH !!

It is not because I work with computers that I can fix any of your problems. And spending the whole day to fix a PC that is older than my daughter is not exactly what I see as a perfect Sunday.

When I invite a friend of mine who is cook at home, I don't ask him to cook for us, nor do I ask my auto shop friend to fix my car problems for free. So please, in the name of all "computer guys", stop thinking that we all can fix any problem.

There are many "computer related" jobs out there, and having one does not mean you're qualified for all of them ! Would you ask a nurse to take over your next surgery because she works in the ER ? No.

Many "computer guys" lifes will get much better if the rest of the population can understand it, so please, try.

What would you say to 1'000'000 readers ?

This blog does not have 1'000'000 readers now, but that may come soon, particularly if YOU help spreading the word. Linkbucks offers pay per click on outbound links.

You just submit them a link, they give you some other link back, and when your visitor clicks it, it first gets redirected to an ad page, and a couple of seconds later to the destination. Want a demo ? I always like problogger.net, from Darren Rowse, which is full of tips about blogging. Click here to read it, and don't forget to come back to tell me how this ad was...

If you want to join LinkBuck for your own use, click here. This is how Ronald incitates "teams" to share all tips.

The other day however, I saw the new jeans that's part of the uniform here in Germany. I'm too optimistic to believe in that, so there must be something else.

If you're a blogger, do you really express yourself freely, or do you write to get more visitors, please them, and become popular ? Does this sounds like getting the star of your class in high-school ? Yes.

This is exactly the reason why I start this blog today: to express me freely. I have other blogs, and I also publish a lot on HubPages, but what I want here is a simple space where I can state what I think, what I want, what I am, and do that bluntly, with no precautions, warnings, advisories, but simply express me in a totally free way !

So yes, it might hurt, shock, and be stupid at some times. Just as I am. Enjoy !
