Since I am now being routinely shut out by presidential candidates (aside from the ones I am already friendly with), I chose to file paperwork to appear on the ballot in NH yesterday-- Not because I am under the impression that I can beat the Washington machine-- but so that I could make a principled stand, and at the very least challenge those who reject my flowers for peace to debate.

Unfortunately, Secretary of State Bill Gardner chose not to allow me to even file, though I had the fee, and I am of valid age, and have resided in the US for well over 14 years-- (all my life).
This, as I pointed out to Secretary Gardner is prejudicial and likely legally actionable.

Trump supporters call for me to be "curb stomped," "hog tied," and to see me "bleeding on the ground."

Regardless of whether you agree with my opinions, or how I handled myself at Donald Trump's rally on Thursday, the facts are:

1. Donald asked for opposing view points.

2. He asked me to give him a Bible verse. The crowd booed it.

3. He asked a question about climate change. I responded with Revelation 11:18.

4. I was physically hit, bullied and threatened.

5. The threats and violent rhetoric have now moved to YouTube.

I can take care of myself. This is not meant to be a complaint. This is an observation of the fascist response to free speech at Trump's event.

If you are considering voting for Donald Trump, consider that Donald needs to denounce violence as an acceptable response to free speech. If you believe in free speech, you should be calling on Mr. Trump to denounce this violent rhetoric.

His casual racism is abhorrent, but I believe that physical violence at his events is moving his campaign toward a kind of behavior that is totally unacceptable by any American standard.

Flower Boy: What does it mean?

"Flower Boy," is a term which Jeb has used twice as a joke, labeling me as a "boy," (presumably), to ease any tensions that I am there at all. I believe Jeb's intent is relatively harmless, regardless of how well thought out.

Limiting this to the meaning of the term, I am fine with this, since I view myself as a bit of a Rorschach test. After all, he is the "Big Man on Campus," and I think to him, it is a strange term of endearment-- like with a pet or a mascot.

However, if you pull out your old Urban Dictionary, you will also find flower boy to mean, "a boy that looks and acts feminine/ girly." "Gay" being a synonym. Again, I'm fine with this too-- but it is more difficult to determine whether this is part of his intent.

I don't think it is-- but now that CNN (a serious news source) has started propagating the term, regardless of whether it was intended as a perjorative, what are the implications?

Jeb invites me up for our tradition of a Bible passage and a prayer. I paraphrased a bitfrom 1 Timothy 3:1-7. "It is noble to seek the office of overseer, however, he who does should be above reproach, sober-minded, not quarrelsome, having only one spouse and not a lover of money." I mentioned it mostly anecdotally, as something that I thought would be fitting to ask Donald Trump about-- but have been unable.

As I sit in a McDonald's for their WiFi around the corner from the convention center in Birch Run, MI where Donald Trump gave his speech last night, I listen to a table full of locals, (white men), who meet here every morning. One man stands out as he recalls the previous evening with the GOP man of the moment.

"Trump only charged twenty five bucks for the event, but Hillary charges twenty two thousand a plate."

Most of her events are free.

"Were there a lot of people there Earl?"

"It was packed. I'm not going to let $130 bucks go to waste. It wasn't so much the speech, it was seeing my old friends. They asked my opinion, and I said I have no opinion-- shook their hands and said thank you very much. I always hung around with republicans. I don't know why. But they liked me and I liked them."

"How'd you vote?"

"I never know until I get out of the booth. Every time I vote, it's been that way."

Another man suddenly changes the course of the discussion. "I heard a law on the MI law books, if a woman cuts her hair or colors it without your permission, she's outta there."

"In the old days, you'd just backhand her."

One of their female acquaintances walks in to say hello to them. Suddenly the tone changes.

"Good morning," says one.

"Howdy," says another.

Discussing the fate of a young McDonald's employee taking orders from a Hispanic man, one says, "it's better than being pushed around by a bunch of niggers."

And so the conversation goes.

The event itself was standard Trump, except that he was late, giving his fans plenty of time to fill up on Bud Light 24 ounce cans which they were selling at the event. So it shouldn't have been any surprise that after the show, the drunken opinions of some of the attendees began to emerge.

One man in possession of several conservative opinions was a guy named Joe Sylvester. Among the choice phrases in his racist rant was, "we're going to whack the fucking shit out of ISIS and take their fucking oil. That's what we're going to fucking do. Fuck those God-damn Muslim pieces of shit. Is that what you wanted to hear so you and your communists can jack off together?"

Later in the conversation, Mr. Sylvester bragged that he made headlines when he bragged to kill a writer for The Daily Kos.

Sylvester's passenger also chimed in that hippies like me would, "end up like Kent State," under a Trump presidency.

I said, "you mean you'd shoot me?"

Sylvester responded, "if that's how you want to interpret it," while cackling.

FLOWERS FOR PEACE

I have been on the road now for a little over a year, (including short breaks), giving out flowers to strangers and most recently, politicians. It has been paid for out of pocket, and doing so has cost me several thousand dollars. I don't mind. I am happy to do so, because I think it has made many people happy. Many thousands of people watch my videos on Vine every day-- (and to a lesser degree, YouTube).

My recent travels have brought me from the east coast to the west coast, to the east, to Iowa, back to New Hampshire, crisscrossing 45 states since 2013. During my travels I have met governors, congressmen, senators, political activists, students and people of all walks of life.

I have prayed for peace with Gov. Jeb Bush and Senator Lindsey Graham, and I have ministered with pastors and other religious workers in the street.

I try to bring a sense of humor to my work-- creating inspirational sayings in my videos-- but also a sense of humor, playing different characters to entertain and brighten people's day. To the countless people who message me, (many of them young people in need of serious advice), I answer all I can. (Though some days, I admit I fall short of being able to keep up and still maintain my busy schedule).

Much to my surprise, my latest adventures have made national headlines in papers like The Washington Post, and The Huffington Post-- and on CNN, CBS, and political shows like The Young Turks-- and many others. My recent talk with Chris Christie even resulted in a comedic exchange which was talked about on shows like The Nightly Show, @Midnight, The View and many others.

I hope to put together a documentary about my travels-- which I have some experience with, since I have directed several feature-length indie films and documentaries, including projects with Greta Gerwig, Stan Lee (of Marvel Comics), and several other film stars you may have heard of.

But I can't afford to do this forever. There is gas, food, cameras/ editing tools for sharing my experiences-- and it adds up to a significant amount.

Today, I will try to give flowers to Hillary Clinton. (I tried once in Iowa, but the flowers were confiscated by the secret service). Right after that, I head out to give flowers to Donald Trump in Michigan. (I also tried unsuccessfully with Donald in Iowa.)

For the unexposed, Massachusetts native Rod Webber delivers a volatile mix of what's been labeled industrial-electronic alterna-pop that delivers it's own particular flavor of Caucasian hip-hop. Burned My Feet On Meat Street takes the listener through the near-psychotic isolation of Webber's recovery a one-year prison stay, imposed for carrying a toy gun while filming a college art film.

Even though much of his post-incarceration neurosis might have been prevented by a competent lawyer, we are still left with a little gem of techno post-adolescent frustration that grows with each listen. Cuts like "Blister" and "Black Sheets" tell of fear, isolation and the lost years of a soul dealing with what may or may not be a society out to get us. Propelled by a Duke Ellington sample, "Black Sheets" provides a chilling look at isolation, to a reverb-drenched military march (a.k.a. a well-programmed drum machine). The song builds with Webber delivering a primal scream of release as the track ends.

"Killing Me" has more of an upbeat pop feel and explores the timeless pop subject of two people repressing a shared attraction. To the intended recipient of the message, Webber pleads "Please see it in my eyes/You're feeding the fire/It's feeding the fire."

Despite a tendency to overuse television samples, Webber brings a welcome economy to his craft. with no track clocking in at over 4:29. Such length provides focus for the more ambiguous subjects while avoiding the dreaded self-indulgent verbal diarrhea that can cause one to reach for the "Eject" button. The advance word on Meat Street proffered a Beck-like creative approach, but to my ears, it sounded something like the Velvet Underground, had VU been in their prime in the mid-Nineties.

It's reported that Webber has assembled a five-piece band and is undertaking a series of live gigs, while the corporate labels decide if this brand of angry industrial music merits a larger platform to perform on. It will be interesting to hear how live musicians will interpret these techno-ditties and to see if Webber's vision expands to the next level. But for now, experience Meat Street in isolation, from whence it came.

Bible talk: inadvertent outing of Chris Christie as Planned Parenthood spokesperson

Today I dressed down to see Chris Christie, since I knew he'd be playing a *bigger* venue and there is interest in his campaign. The logic being that I'd stand a better chance of getting a question.

I asked him about:

Proverbs 6: 16-19 regarding killing of innocent civilians during war.

Rev 11:18 (God says to destroy the destroyers of the earth), and

Matthew 5: 38-39 regarding turning the other cheek.

I got in some follow-ups, which he skillfully dodged, and inadvertently outed him as the spokesperson for planned parenthood.

I also got him his flowers for peace. :)

Truth Bombs for Bernie Sanders, From the Man with the Flowers

Dear Mr. Sanders,

I attended two of your campaign events yesterday, and I have to say that the behavior of the staff was shameful and childish. I hold no party affiliation, but I would like to think that as a peace activist that I share something in common with all of the candidates, and that is a shared desire for making the world a better place.

That said, during the second campaign event yesterday, (in Manchester, NH), your campaign manager continually conferred with a younger staffer about the placement of my cameras, and he was clearly directing the staffer, (who told me his name, but I will withhold), to block their view. This is a tactic of a handful of other campaigns, which will go unnamed-- but suffice to say, I expect it.

It feels petty to even bring this up. I know it was simply two staffers getting in the way of the guy with the bouquet of flowers. So what? Well, someone on your staff made a judgment of me based upon my appearance. This is not the kind of judgment I would expect from the candidate who is allegedly the candidate for the outsider and the little guy. The actions of your staff made you come across as anything but.

Secondly, you speak of "truth bombs" which the American people need to hear. How can you be the candidate of "truth" if your staff is being instructed to get in the way of cameras which, (to the best of my knowledge), are the best way to illuminate the truth? Even if I were a right wing agitator, (I am not)-- what would be the harm in said agitator filming your event? I truly have a difficult time reconciling the events, (as small as they were), that took place yesterday.

I would think long and hard about what you want your campaign to represent. Does this campaign, as it espouses, truly believe in the predicament of the "99%" or is this just another battle between the Coke and the Pepsi of politics and is "Mr. Sanders The Candidate" just another spokesperson for the oligarchy he professes to detest?

I have traveled the country advocating for a better world-- some would say for a "progressive" ideology. Sadly, I have found the Clinton campaign in particular, and now the Sanders campaign not so progressive after all.

I am hoping that writing this letter will create a reversal on this behavior. I believe that one of the highest values of being a free person in a free society is the freedom to express yourself. If wearing a top-hat and flowers in your beard as matter of my self-expression calls for a security detail, then I have strong reservations about your true ideology, and therefore your ability to be president.

I want to thank you for accepting my flower in the name of peace. It was meant as a symbolic gesture that should you become president that there be peace during your time in office.

Not too long ago, I went to see Hillary Clinton speak, and hopefully offer her a flower-- so that there would be peace over her presidency, (should she be elected). Unfortunately, as you will see, I am thwarted several times by the secret service, even when a campaign staffer tries to assist me. I am told that a flower can be used as a weapon. However-- Lindsey Graham is in the building giving a press conference, and he asks me over to say a prayer for peace-- so all is not lost.
