Do you need a new wardrobe but don't have alot of cash? Try doing a fashion makeover by updating your designer accessories. Properly coordinated accessories are like garnishing for a dish--it's all about the presentation!

The item you're wearing will dictate the accessory that you should use to accentuate your look. If you are having a casual day and wearing your favorite pair of jeans, wearing designer jewelry is probably not the best decision as it sends a mixed message about your look. Saying this, what you are wearing and where you are going will help you make a decision on which accessories to use. For example, wearing designer jewelry to the beach is not always the best idea, even though it can accentuate your bathing suit. Using designer or extravagant accessories at very casual places can make one appear that they are trying too much which will always put you at a disadvantage when meeting new people. Designer accessories can help you achieve a specific goal as we mentioned in the beginning of this article, such as if you need to be noticed or if you are trying to make a first impression.

If you're trying to get noticed, then wearing larger accessories or wearing just one "blingy" accessory that calls attention to itself is preferable. For example, an open neck dress with a necklace will call attention to you, utilizing the necklace as the main focal point. This is very effective in dances or social engagements where you need to be noticed. Using this technique can also help you if you're in sales. Remember, if you have an exposed neckline, it is better to accentuate with a designer necklace rather than earrings. This way you create only one focal point. If you have a closed neck line, then wearing striking earrings will help to accentuate your facial structure. Also, the type of dress you're wearing should influence the type of shoes that should wear, which in turn will determine what type of accessories that you need to use to achieve your final look.

Wearing an ankle bracelet is always sexy if you have a medium length skirt. Also, for your choice of shoes, it is better to stay with the average high heel so you do not call negative attention to your look. In fact, creating a stunning and sophisticated look with the use of designer accessories is all about balance and control. Even though you may like a particular item that is made by one of your favorite designers, it may not speak the right message to those that you may be interacting with. This is where control comes into the picture.

Often times, items that are more subtle will appear more sophisticated than items that draw attention to themselves. Again, it will depend upon your goal. For example, if you are performing at concert you will want to wear items that draw attention to themselves because you want to be the focal point. However, if you're not on stage, subtlety is most attractive and creates sophistication that says, "I don't have to try." Again, this is very important if you are at business meetings where you're trying to make more contacts and even more vital when trying to strike business deals where trust is involved. In this case, middle ground is always the safest.

I admit, I love to see my husband in a nice necktie. Since I started upgrading my wardrobe I had to have him join my bandwagon. In my search I came across GianFranco Italian Neckties.

We all have been hit by the economic down turn resulting in the need to cut back on certain areas of our lives. I remember telling my husband a few months ago that I was going to cut back on spending for clothes and accessories. Let's say this lasted all of ..........3 months! For the life of me I couldn't figure out why he was not thrilled about this decision. As we chatted one night he stated "You do not shop for yourself often and having a few new pieces to your wardrobe keeps it SEXY!"

The reason he was OK with me keeping my budget for my style is because I only buy a few items from time to time. Why? Because, I feel that purchasing quality is better than quantity. My secret is to buy designer goods from the previous season. You got it! A little over 7 years ago I became a mommy. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine one day I would be a mommy of 3 DIVAS. Yes, that's right 3 girls. Poor husband.......

As the years quickly pass us by and I watch my little girls grow they are slowly turning into: D I V A S! All 3 LOVE fashion, with 3 very unique styles. My middle child can put together anything and make it grand. It's sad when I walk into a 5 yr old's room to get approval for my day's attire. My biggest complaint on her personal shopping is her lack of knowledge of "deals", sales racks do not exist in her vocab., but her eye for fashion is very keen. She walks into a store and spots an outfit without batting an eye. As soon as she puts it together she's ready to move on to the next, no pondering, just get it and last go!

I share this to say: before kids I stepped out looking "cute", then I had children and I would step out looking like a freight train hit me. Now, I'm back and feeling great about it. The funds are not there to shop and buy the numerous pair of shoes, pants, etc. like I once did, but I realize with a few essential accessories I can turn anything into something "grand." Not only do I feel good about myself, but my husband loves it and so do my girls.

Who are the most important people to make happy? Yourself, your mate and your family. So, to all my fellow ladies: Take the extra 5 mins and put on those little accessories. Even with sweatpants a great pair of shades will make you stand out!

This worked to some extent, but we couldn't keep blogging because we were forcing ourselves to write about topics that would attract traffic to our website; not about topics that we were genuinely interested in.

This time, we are going to do what bloggers are supposed to do--write about stuff they like. We're still going to try to keep the topics in the fashion and style categories, but don't be surprised if we get completely off-topic occasionally. While we still want you to visit (and shop) our main website, we also hope that you enjoy what we express to you in the blogosphere.

What is the difference between Cologne and Perfume?

You may be wondering what the difference between cologne and perfume is. Have you ever taken a trip to a department store and discovered both cologne and perfume versions of the same fragrance. Traditionally, men’s fragrances are sold as cologne and but women’s fragrances are sold as cologne and perfume. If you are looking for a gift your choice between cologne and perfume is not going to be an easy one.

The terms perfume and cologne are used to differentiate between the strengths of perfume oil and scent. Eau de Cologne is the least concentrated of all perfumes and the scent will usually last about an hour or less. Eau de Toilette is the middle concentrate for perfume with the oil and scent usually lasting up to two hours. Finally, Parfume Classic contains the highest concentration of oil and the scent will last at least four to five hours.

Deciding which product to purchase can be a daunting task. Usually people will find the scent that they like then purchase the largest bottle that their wallet can afford. But this really is not the best method to follow. A bottle of perfume will of course cost more than a larger bottle of Eau de Toilette because the perfume contains a higher concentration of parfume oil. Instead of letting your eyes choose the largest bottle, concentrate on how you will be wearing the scent.

If you are planning on wearing your new scent every day to work, you may want to purchase the lighter Eau de Cologne or Eau de Toilette. This can help you avoid overloading your co-workers on your scent. If you plan on layering your scents by using shower gel, body powder, or other scented product you may also want to consider purchasing Eau de Toilette or Eau de Cologne instead of Parfume. Layering scents will create a base for the lighter Eau de Toilette and Eau de Cologne to ahear without causing you to overload with scent.

Are you still wearing clothing you had in high school? Maybe you find yourself trying to remain fashionable but you always feel like you fall short. Having clothing that fits you well and is fashionable makes every day better. You will feel more confident and that can be very attractive to everyone you come in contact with. Take the time weed the old worn out clothes from your closet and upgrade your wardrobe.

You do not need to throw out every piece of clothing you own and buy new. You can upgrade your wardrobe with only a few key purchases. Ideally, what you should do is clean your closet of anything that does not fit you well or has physical damage or staining then start to incorporate new pieces each season.

Classic black dress pants will fit into your wardrobe easily and will be a great choice for almost any social function you can think of.
