The Chicago City Clerk's office once again will be selling City vehicle stickers at the 49th Ward Service Office.

As an added convenience, City Clerk Susana Mendoza and Alderman Joe Moore have launched a new way to purchase and obtain your City vehicle sticker without waiting in line and without leaving the ward--The Aldermanic Will-Call Program.

Simply bring your renewal form, payment (check or money order made payable to "City Clerk") and your driver's license to Alderman Moore's office any time during regular business hours between now and Friday, June 15th. They will forward your application and payment to the City Clerk's office for processing and you can then pick up your sticker at the City Service office at your convenience during the City vehicle sticker sale on Saturday, June 23rd or any business day after that date. No lines, no wait!

Wine tasting and a show

Jarvis Square is the place to be this summer. Spend the evening in Jarvis Square with Taste Food and Wine and the side project theatre.

Taste is a wine shop and European-style grocery in the heart of the burgeoning Jarvis Square neighborhood of Rogers Park. Owned and operatedby a close-knit group who is deeply rooted in the European tradition, this little shop maintains a friendly and accessible attitude towards wine. Wine should not intimidate, it should be enjoyed. Taste offers good wine at a good price and a knowledgeable staff of good people.

And then, head across the street to the side project for the 7:30pm showing of JOAN'S LAUGHTER, a world premiere about the last one hour of Joan of Arc's life. Religion versus Faith, morality versus mortality, come head to head in this visceral account of the peasant-girl-cum-saint's final defense of her voices before being put to death.

The show runs 75 minutes and will be preceded by a French-vs-English version of bruschetta: fresh julienned veggies atop French Bread and English Muffins! And stick around afterward for a talkback with cast/crew and Artistic Director Adam Webster.
