If wearing lingerie as outerwear takes confidence, then what can be said about this daring outfit choice of Rihanna's?

Usually reserved for those practiced in the art of the strip-tease, 'pasties' are being promoted as an every-day commodity for girls by brands like Bristols6 (makers of 'Nippies'). But while skin-toned pasties are sensible for avoiding accidental slips, Rihanna's sparkly stars were most definitely worn to be seen. Nipple-tassels as outerwear? It's not too much of a stretch.

Whether it was the involvement of leading Australian designers and labels, the delightful food and drink, or the much-talked-about gift bags, we wanted every aspect of High Fashion, High Tea to represent the lifestyle that Fashionising.com is about.

In 2009, we're taking it to a whole new level.

It comes as no big surprise that the staple trends of Glastonbury Music Festival 2009 were again wellingtons and ripped denim (we were particularly pleased to see some pairs of Jimmy Choo for Hunter trecking through the muddy festival grounds). But while Kate Moss seemed to be absent this year, models Lily Donaldson and Daisy Lowe were leading the way in the fashion stakes; Lily with her sheer top and denim shorts, and Daisy with her fringed number and cropped tops.

What a transformation. We haven't seen Cameron Diaz stealing the spotlight much these days, but a pair of Prada's out-there thigh-high boots and a peroxide blonde, sexed-up bob and suddenly it's hard to take your eyes off her. Covering the July/August issue of V Magazine, Diaz's shots were expertly taken by photographic duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

Cheap Monday is a label that, seemingly, can do little wrong; many a fashioniser has indulged in their denim, and few have any negatives the level against the brand. Having met people's expectations thus far, the Swedish brand is looking to raise the bar. Enter London based designer Ann-Sofie Back whose Spring/Summer 2010 runway collection is her debut for the brand.

And what a debut it is! Street fashion in every sense, the collection features both men's and women's pieces that simply ooze fashion trends.

You can't look past Herve Leger when it comes to the cut-away bikini trend, and Lindsay Lohan seems to know it. She wore Leger's red bandage bikini at her 23rd birthday celebration last week. But while fringing as a summer shoe trend is still going strong, Lindsay was way off with her black fringed heels - the shoes looking far too heavy for her otherwise light and beachy ensemble.

We love S.LOVE's debut collection for its gorgeous dresses and scarves - in which each piece is hand-painted. As far as the thigh-high boots trend goes, I can't say that Louis Vuitton's version are the most practical as a long-term investment. That won't stop them being featured in plenty of magazine editorials and photo-shoots though. We most recently spotted them on Madonna in her latest campaign for Louis Vuitton.

The July 2009 issue of Numero Korea includes a shoot featuring Maryna Linchuk in lingerie, LV boots, and sometimes no clothes at all.

As the Men's 2010 Spring/Summer runways continue, John Galliano brings an eclectic and highly ethnic inspired set of outfits with his Spring/Sumer 2010 collection.

From the far reaches of the Middle East to the distant history of British India, Galliano takes global inspirations and does what he does best: costumery. Galliano's man starts off in turbans, sandals, and earthy tones of brown, mustard and burnt orange; before traversing more tailored looks that bear to mind Imperial Britain. As with his previous collection, Galliano also dabbles in some military detailing. Modern sneakers and combat gear in some cases snap the looks back to present day reality; but the overall feeling of historical costume remains.
