I’m here for the first ever Affiliate Central Summit, which officially starts on Tuesday, May 15th. This Summit is going to be a little different than East and West in that it’s capped to a few hundred people and lasting a day and a half. The event already sold out weeks ago and pretty much every affiliate network I’ve heard of is coming out to Austin.

I think the fact that it is purposefully smaller will make it easier to really connect with other people in the industry where synergies may lie. From what I know, this show is really going to be a test bed for new ideas and structured a little differently. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s new with Affiliate Summit Central.

I’m here a little early as I wanted to check out what Austin was like. I’ve heard great things about the city from it’s food to it’s entertainment as well as it being a nice city for people in their 20′s. So far we’ve unfortunately been hit with a bit of rain, but hopefully 6th street will do us right tonight.

If you missed out on signing up for Affiliate Central Summit this year, make sure you make it out for the next one. Also, early bird pricing for Affiliate Summit East ends today so if you haven’t signed up yet, go do that now!

It’s finally here. I’ve been working extremely hard over the last couple of months to put together a solid program to help new and struggling affiliates succeed. The Rogue Affiliate System is a culmination of everything I wish I had starting out as an affiliate. The problem I see most affiliates having (including myself when I started off) was the lack of focus that’s inevitable in this space. There are so many offers and traffic sources out there begging for your attention that success becomes almost impossible because of your scattered efforts. That’s why I decided to put together a succinct system that affiliates can follow step by step to find profitable campaign after campaign. It’s the same exact system I use today whenever I launch a new campaign and there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to find success with it as well.

Now I was really hesitant at first when deciding to create this system for two reasons:

1) I did not by any means want to be seen as a “guru.” Just the thought of it kinda makes me cringe. At the same time, I knew I wanted to put out a solid product full of real and practical advice that could help out affiliates that are in the same position I was a few years ago, so I went for it.

2) Customer support. One of the biggest advantages to being an affiliate is that you never have to manage situations arising from customer support. All you have to do is collect your paycheck! It’s not the same with owning a product though and I already have limited time as it is! And while I promise full customer support for anyone who buys The Rogue Affiliate System, I will have to halt sales at some point when I have too many customers to handle.

I have no doubt that if you’re struggling with affiliate marketing or just starting out, you have a lot to gain with The Rogue Affiliate System. Even advanced marketers might pick up a few golden nuggets that’ll pay for itself. I know too many affiliates now who have been struggling for years and it’s because they lack a system to follow. It’s really hard to see and part of the reason why I put this out. If you’re new or have been in the game for a while and not seen solid success, then I highly encourage you to make this investment in yourself.

I would also really appreciate any and all feedback on the system. Let me know your thoughts as I really do believe in putting out a quality product and continually improving upon it. Now go check out The Rogue Affiliate System.

March was not as good as February, as the offer that made me most of my money last month died. Luckily, I made one work for me. If I had both going at the same time, I could have easily doubled my profit for the month.

Revenue: $79701

Expenses: $56937

March Profit: $22763

Not a bad month, but hoping to hit $50,000 in profit in a month in the next coming months. I’m also working on something that is about to launch very soon. If you’re interested in learning how to make money online with affiliate marketing, you should definitely stay tuned. A lot of the stuff on my blog has generally been about my experiences and very little about how to do what I do. Well, I’ve finally decided that I’m going to put it all out there with an easy to follow system for affiliates to go from no experience to be able to make a healthy income online. If you’re new to the industry or having trouble finding success, I would highly suggest you sign up below to the pre-launch list.

There is so much noise out there and people preaching a million different things – it’s no surprise that affiliates these days are super ADHD jumping from one idea to another instead of focusing. What they need is a system and I’ve decided to put together a program that outlines the exact system I’ve used to generate an income online. Now I’m no guru and I’m not trying to be one., but I am tired of seeing affiliates struggle (even some I know for years!), and I think it makes sense for me to put out a product that is meant to get them on the road to success. If you’re tired of wasting month after month of not seeing success, enter your name and email below to be the first to know of when my system launches. You won’t regret it.

So if there are any NYC affiliates that are down to chill and talk biz, just holler!

Now if there’s one word to describe the A4D meetup that word would be awesome. I’m really glad I went for not just the tidbits I picked up but also for meeting some really big affiliates, which was just as motivating. Here are the highlights:

Thursday – I got into SD in the evening and decided to keep it pretty low key. Ran into an affiliate at the airport (thanks to twitter) and the both of us along with another affiliate I had met in Amsterdam got some dinner and hit up a few spots in downtown.

Friday – The weather was just awesome so we had to take advantage and hit up the beach. After all that, we geared up for the party at Basic Bar where Jason had a whole area cordoned off for us and kept the party going with drinks and pizza after pizza. It was a great chance to meet the team and other affiliates both local and from around the country that had came down for the event.

After a couple of hours everybody headed to the party at Fluxx where Jason had a few tables reserved for us. The venue was definitely up there…I didn’t expect to find a club in San Diego that would be on par with places I’ve seen in Miami and Vegas. The music, effects, rotating cage with hot girls dancing in it, along with a giant light up robot all made for an interesting experience. We stayed there til around 2 and a few people headed home even before that which was probably a smart move considering the actual meetup started at 9am the next morning.

Saturday – The big day. This was my first A4D meetup as I couldn’t make the one last year. I have to say the trip was definitely worth every penny. This “seminar” was unlike any other that you’re probably used to at different exhibit shows. It was a lot less about the technical aspects and details of an affiliate campaign, but more so about the mind set that makes an affiliate great. Here we were sitting in a room with the likes of Jason talking about how he had a campaign making them $40k profit a day and with Stefan from Zeeto Group who went from being a solo affiliate in college studying as a student from abroad to running an actual company with an amazing office and 55 employees. There was still a bit of technical info as well as we got a really good run down on how to set up and manage media buys

I mean this is stuff you just don’t get at your average conference. There was a lot of high-level thinking revealed by many of the speakers and it was great to see their thought processes and what differentiates them from your average basement-dwelling affiliate. As with everything, it’s more about the philosophy and your business foundation than anything else. The difference between the affiliate making $500 a day and $5000 a day becomes very apparent when you just look at the mindset of people like Jason and all the speakers at the event not to mention many of the attendees.

If you didn’t make it out this time, definitely try to make it out to the next one. A big thanks goes out to Jason and the rest of the Ads4Dough team for putting together such a great event and all for free. It’s amazing what these guys do and it’s no wonder they are so well respected in the industry. I remember when A4D had just started and they continue to be one of the few remaining boutique networks that maintain a strong personal relationship with their affiliates. Jason is one of the smartest guys in the industry and it’s almost intimidating how much he knows not only about this space, but about business in general. Honestly speaking though, and I’ve run into Smaxor a few times at industry conferences since 2009 – here’s a guy 6ft something, larger than life presence, but when you talk to him he’s incredibly down to earth and willing to talk to anybody about their business and couldn’t be a nicer guy. If you’re not already running with them, go check them out at www.ads4dough.com.

I haven’t done one of these in a while and I’m not sure if I’m going to continue doing them so this may be my last income report ever.

Some people love them, some people hate them. I’m really not one to brag and I don’t do these to brag (trust me other people have way bigger numbers), but that’s the impression some people might be getting. I just do it to motivate myself and have it here as inspiration for anyone that needs it. So we shall see if I continue to have them. Until then, here are the numbers for February:

Total Revenue:

= $75,314.60

Total expenses:

=$49,833.80

Profit: $25,480.80

I apologize for the cheesy screen shots, but as Will Ferrell would say “It’s provocative! It gets the people going!”

So not a bad month for February even though it was a whole 1-2 days shorter than any other month I have to say that only a portion of this month’s revenues came from mobile traffic as I didn’t even do much of it in February as a result of focusing on other offers. I only really pushed it the last 3 days starting on February 26th and it amounted to an astonishing $16,435. For anyone struggling out there, just keep at it. Test, learn, and be ahead of the curve. That’s what it takes. I’m grateful for having a good month and hopefully can make it even bigger in the following. Big props to the people who keep me going and support from all the brothers in the grind.

And now for a poll:

Take Our Poll

 Tweet This Post

Welcome to the new blog. It’s a new year and I figured it was time for a new and more official design.

What else is new? Well the RevenueWire Live Dangerously contest just ended and man there was some tough competition. No worries though, I just bought laps around the local track with the Lamorghini Gallardo, so look for a post on that. That’s my reward for the month – I get to test out my dream car if I reach my profit goal for the month.

The Ads4Dough meetup in San Diego is also going down next month and I just booked my flights and everything for it. Really looking forward to the trip as I’ve never been to San Diego and it’s one of the places I’m considering moving to (alongside Austin, Orlando, and NYC).

In industry news, a lot has been going on such as Verizon killing all pin submits, which looks like it’s going to have a ripple effect to the other carriers. There was also Facebook’s IPO and the upcoming release of mobile ads since half of users log onto Facebook using their phone. The IPO is looking to be a good thing for now for affiliates as Facebook is going to need to prove their valuation by coming up with better ways to bring in revenue (more ads).

Also, if you haven’t been following, NickyCakes has launched CakesTV, a weekly web show with a gathering of well-known affiliates in the space talking about the industry. If you haven’t checked it out yet go watch episode 1 and episode 2.

Finally, if you didn’t see it yet, I was featured on the MobAff blog for generating $22,000 in mobile revenue on that network alone and being the second top affiliate for January. There’s tremendous opportunity in mobile right now and I believe it will only continue to grow. Check out the post for some inspiration.

That’s all I have for now. Catch you in San Diego if you’re attending.

Now although it’s not my ultimate dream car, I do love BMWs and I was checking out the 135i yesterday for fun with a friend.

While I like certain BMWs, I wouldn’t call any of them m ultimate dream car. That would have to be the Lamborghini Gallardo (Murc is nice too of course). What’s cool is that right now I have a chance of driving a Lambo along with other super cars thanks to RevenueWire’s LiveDangerously contest. The blogger with the most votes gets to drive super cars in the Mojave Desert so I’m asking my readers to vote for me! I’m pretty far behind in the polls, but it never hurts to try. Besides I am going to the local track to race super cars this weekend anyway if I don’t win just to “feel the dream.” Although it probably won’t be as sweet as the Mojave Desert.

CLICK HERE TO VOTE FOR ME TO RISK MY LIFE GOING 200MPH IN A LAMBO

If I win the contest I’ll obviously post a video on here for all to see and I’ll even post a case study of one of my most profitable campaigns. So head on over to the poll and vote for me.

Okay enough about that. I wanna know what your dream car is? What’s the car that keeps you working hard to one day have sitting in your driveway? Post it in the comments!

Yes it’s true it’s gotten way harder, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. People are still making money advertising on social networks no matter how uptight they get just because they have an IPO coming out. There are more than 1 Billion people to monetize on these social networks. The rules have changed, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any more money there.

One of the best tools out there right now to know what’s working is LotsofAds.com. Their intelligence tool has an absolute slew of features and countries in it’s database and it continues to grow. US markets have become extremely saturated now and international is where the easy pickings are. With so many international offers readily available there’s no reason you shouldn’t be attacking those markets especially with the help of a tool like LotsofAds (Use “RR2012″ for 10% Off)

Think about how much time you’re currently wasting finding a winning ad. First you sift through the web to find the perfect images. Then you edit those images. Then you painstakingly submit those ads and variations of those ads to split test copy and demographics. All to find out the next morning that your ads were DENIED or worse they just sucked and you have to start from scratch again. Are you really living the dream? Tirelessly working and begging to have your ads approved and testing day in and day out. It sounds worse than a 9-5! You’re literally chained to your computer chair because all the wasted time in testing.

I thought we got into this business for more money AND freedom not a back torturing, arthiritis-inducing experience in front of five blaring monitors. The only way to get rid of the most time consuming part of our business is with two words: competitive intelligence. Steve Jobs said it best- “The best ideas are stolen.” There’s a reason for that- it’s because they work! Now this isn’t to encourage stealing other affiliates works and becoming a copycat affiliate, but more about learning the angles that work. So much of this business comes down to the angle you’re using and if you don’t have one you’re lost. Gone are the days of flinging up generic ads and profiting at a whim. You have to know what works and that’s what LotsofAds lets you do. Now let’s cut to the chase. Here’s how to dominate your competitive research with LotsofAds step-by-step:

Use Coupon Code RR2012 to get 10% Off of LotsofAds.com (First 20 people to use it only)

1. Figure out what offers are doing well. This is a no-brainer and you should be doing this anyway. Once you have the offers you want to run here’s what you’re going to do:

Plug in the offer URL into the filter for display URL and you’re shown all the ads in the database being run for that particular offer.

OR get a broad view of all ads being seen by your chosen demographic which can include country, gender, relationship status, and age. You can mix and match this in anyway you want along with a search for the ad display URL, or any particular text in the heading or body (say “dating” for example). You can even search for all ads using a particular image by placing the image url. How sick is that?

2. Plug in the offer URL into the search filter and LotsofAds will literally show you the ads that are being run for that offer in whichever country you choose.

3. Organize your listings by Days Running, Last Seen, Min times seen, and Min Days running.

4. That’s it your competitive research is done for you. Now go make some money!

You literally cut hours upon hours of your research time, which you can instead put towards scaling your campaigns or how about even something not involving a computer! Jk I’m a workaholic so you’ll probably still find me on here, but it just means I’ll be making more money. LotsofAds is seriously a powerhouse of a tool for any serious marketer. There’s no better tool out there right now for doing competitive research on social network ads. There’s a reason I haven’t named any of those networks here and it’s because in order for it to continue to operate it has to remain pretty underground. It’s not cheap at $499 a month for an All Countries package (although you can get cheaper packages for their US, English, Europe, and Latin packages), but tools like this don’t come around often so if you’re still struggling to make a profit, sign up for LotsofAds today and get 10% off when you use the code RR2012. This code is limited to the first 20 people that use it. Have fun and let me know when you make some bank!

Disclosure: I am not being compensated for writing this post, but I will be compensated if you use my referral discount code as an affiliate. This product does not guarantee you will make money, but it will make it a lot easier.

Sleep (or lack of it) remains a big issue for a lot of affiliates. Truth is ad networks and most affiliate networks still operate on the 9-5 schedule so if you need to get anything productive done, which requires communication that’s the window of time you need to be operating in too. Whether it be insomnia or the after-effects of waking up at 1 in the afternoon almost all of us wish this problem of getting enough sleep would just go away. After all, we spend a third of our lives doing it.

I personally got frustrated after telling myself every late morning that I would definitely go to sleep early that night only to find myself repeating the same pattern and staying up til 4 or 5 in the morning doing work. This resulting in another “sleeping in” of sorts and only have 2-3 hours of sunlight to enjoy here in the already depressing state of New Jersey.

SO I decided to fire up the iPad and fast forward to the chapters on sleep in Tim Ferris’ book The Four Hour Body. He goes into a bunch of methods and devices he uses to fix his insomnia and one of the methods he touches on involves taking 20 minute naps spaced out through out the day resulting in having to sleep a fewer number of hours in your “core sleep session.” The less you want to sleep the more naps you’ll have to take, but I’m sticking to one 20 minute nap during the day, which will let me sleep just 6 hours overnight and still be well rested and functional (I’m big on sleep, normally needing 8 hours not to feel groggy throughout the day). So what can you do to hack sleeping time?

1. Nap 20 minutes during the day and sleep 6 hours overnight.

2. Download F.lux- I’ve been using this program for about two months now and it definitely helps me be ready to fall asleep at night and reduce eye strain. What it does is reduce the brightness setting on your monitors automatically as the sun sets. At first when it dims it feels really weird, but then you get used to it and can’t tell the difference.

3. Download SleepCycle on your iPhone - Also learned about this from Tim’s book. This app is amazing! It actually measures the quantity and quality of your sleep overnight. How does it do this? Using the accelorameter in your iPhone, it’s able to tell when your moving about in your bed and when your in stages of deep or REM sleep. I use it now and it’s scary how accurate it is. What’s even better is that you give it a 30 minute window to wake you up within and it will wake you up when you’re in your lightest phase of sleep so you don’t feel like you usually do when you want to throw your alarm clock out the window.

4. Use WakerUpper.com - Do you suck at waking up in the morning? Well thanks to the Internet, you can now have a free automated calling service wake you up in the morning with an optional reminder if you’d like. It’s called WakerUpper.com and works like a charm. No more needing to have your girlfriend call you to wake your lazy ass up!

5. Buy a Philips goLite- If you’re having issues operating during the day with enough energy, something else recommended by Ferris might help. It’s called the Philips goLite Blu Therapy and is a portable device which emits a particular kind of blue light which you naturally get on very sunny days that is supposed to give you a boost of energy like you would on an actual sunny day. Now I don’t know if this thing works or not, but the reviews on Amazon seem to be pretty promising.

Hope these tips help you conquer some of your sleep-related issues (unless you’re Ryan Eagle, in which case you don’t sleep)
