My baby is now a lady

Growing up I always wanted to have someone I can share the same interest with. Sharing clothes...talking about boys but that did not come true. Yeah I have a younger sister but we are 11 years old apart. By the time she's old enough I already moved out from my parents. I got married and live too far away from her. We only have the technology that keeping us to share some things but not all I ever dreamt of. Thank God I am bless with 2 beautiful girls.

Having 2 girls is so exciting for me. I know with them I can experience what I am missing with my little sister. It will come to the point I know they will be going on their own ways but I just hope we have a good mother and daughter relationship when that time comes.

As of today April 30th,2014 Leona officialy has her monthly visitor. She had "Hoops for Heart" and when she came home went to the bathroom and called out for my help. Right then I knew what it was all about. I was so proud of her she handle it very well. I guess it all started when she was at school. She never panic. She kept the school activity as there was nothing happened.

As Leona now officially a young lady, I have to be more protective on her. I will not only be her mother I will be also her friend. I hope she keep open to me, open on everything even about boys.

With all this said I am a happy mom having 2 beautiful girls. Looking forward to our family adventure. Up and down we are always with each other.

Explosions at Boston Marathon

Today is April 15th, 2013, Massachusetts holiday; Patriot's Day (or Patriots' Day) commemorates the battles of Lexington and Concord, which were fought near Boston in 1775. Patriot's Day is annually held on the third Monday of April. It should not be confused with Patriot Day, held on September 11 to mark the anniversary of terrorist attacks in the USA in 2001. As to celebrate they always have marathon participated by different runners from all over the world.

Today was a very sad day. Heartless people set up 6 different bombs around the area where the marathon was. The 1st explosion happen right the finished line. And the 2nd bomb explode 1 block away from the 1st one. There was a 3rd bomd at JFK library.

There were 105 so far reported got insured and 2 got killed to which 0ne got killed is an 8 years old girl. The youngest victim here is 3 years old.

President did not call it as terror attacks. If it is not a terro act who did this one then. I hope US government have to do something in this.

Prayer goes to the victims. No words to explains thought s or feelings.

Roger in pain

It will be a week from tomorrow that Roger start having a back pain. He was fine until for a sudden he said his mid left back hurt so bad that he coudn't find any comfortable spot specially at night. We all thought it just because he spent more time sitting infront of his computer. I gave him a massage for a thought he move into a wrong direction and dislocate a bone.

Even he was hurting he still went to work. He had been suffering but pain, having sleepless night and but did not stop him from going to work. This weekend we are hoping he will be fine but looks like his pain still the same so we decided he need to call hos doctor. We are Hoping nothing major that we have to worry.

Calling the doctor probably the best decision we did. Tomorrow Roger still be going work. Praying ang hoping everything is fine.

Lunch With my BFF and her hubby

Weekend is the time to spend with your loveones. Today we had lunch with Liza and her husband Steve. It has been a while we did saw Steve. Roger and him have something to catch hp amd not counting the girls misses him.

We have simple lunch hamburger, hotdog and ribs for the Americans to eat while for us the pinoys we have our Pinoy dish eggplant salad and bilo bilo for dessert. Hay busog ang bata.

Moment like this is what we miss. No parties but yet we had fun because we spent time with family.

Leona's 10 year Check Up

Last August 24th Leona had her regular yearly check up. She weight 110 lbs thats 10 lbs more my weigjt when I got here in America. This is not good for Leona she is 10 years old and weigh that high. She is obese according to BMI. But to think about she is a tall girl. They did cholesterol check on her and found out her cholesterol was high 211. Her pedia suggested to do fasting and have her blood work done to get more acurate result and he added to do blood work for her thyroid.

A week after result came and yeah her cholesterol is high 194 and showing a problem on her thyroid. This is a wake up call for me and to everyone in the familyto be more cautious. With regards to Leona she just need to do excercise in order to lose weight. This will help her cholesterol go down. In six months they will do more test to see where shes at that time.

Leona's yearly check up gives us a lesson to be healthy and to lose weight...we all need to lose weight. We'll see where we at after 6 months.

Moving Again

Once again my family and i are moving to a new house. I hate moving. Right now i only have couple more days to finish packing but i don't know where to start. I want to get rid some of my stuff. But behind my mind someone is saying what if I need them? So I guess keep them.

Whaaaa here I am getting paranoid while my family are downstairs relaxing watching TV. Its good for them. Wait until I blow up. They will hear some nasty words from me. And pretty sure they won't like it.

My Grandma

My grandma loves watching any tv shows about cooking or gardening. She was at my house one day and wanted to turn on HGTV. I turned it on and there was a show on about landscaping your own yard. My grandma went on and on about how pretty the flowers were and how vibrant the colors were. She told me that tv shows look better on my tv than they do on here. I told her it was probably because we were watching the show in HD. She said that she thinks her tv has HD, but she does not know which channels come in HD. I googled “HD Direct TV” and found out exactly which channels she has that come in HD. I printed the list of channels for her and she was so excited. Later that night she called me and was so happy about watching tv in HD. She said that she feels like she does not even have to wear her glasses any more when watching tv. I love my grandma and how the smallest things can make her so happy.

Wedding Day

The girls are looking forward to Sara's wedding. Sara is Rogers cousins daughter. Sara is also Leona's godmother. Sara is getting married to Jeremy. They have been together for over 7 years I think. Leona will be the juniors bridesmaid and Angel the flower girl. This is the first time that the girls will be part of the wedding ceremony. They already have their clothes. Now i just have to get them their shoes. I found out it is hard to find a navy blue shoes. Now that I need to buy them one you think i can find them anywhere> i was wrong. Right now i don't care with the price I just need to buy one as soon as possible.

The wedding is on June 16th. We just received their informal invitation with the couples picture. I also received the bridal shower invitations and that will be on April 22. Now I have another one to worry about. I need to get them a nice gift. Denise Sara's mother are been so good to us. As payback I want to get a nice gift for the bridal shower. This is the 2nd time that the girls will be in a bridal shower. I just love to do things together with my girls. With all this activities this will bring us more closer.

On June 16th it will be an exciting day for all of us. Not just he girls will be part of the wedding but Sara and Jeremy will be finally married. We wish them both happiness. This is nice for Roger, the girls and I to have a family bonding time. Mama will not be going this time.

Hoping this day will be nice sunny day not to hot. It is a garden wedding.

A Surprise birthday party

Last March 10th some of my good friends did a surprise birthday party. It was so nice of them. I must done something that is why they did this for me. It was a very nice party. It was my 1st birthday party since I got here in US.

Everyone brought foods. We have ton of foods. That was a ideal party for me that I did not worry kn what I will be cooking.

I maybe aware of this party but still I was surprise. I only expect few friends but a lot of friends came over.

For this 36th birthday this is one of the memorable birthday.

Don's Surprise Birthday Part

Last Saturday March 3rd we went to a 50th birthday party of a friend name Don. His girlfriend Liz set up this surprise party for him. Everyone brought their special dish.

With all the people around there were no enoigj food. There was a roast pig but it is still a baby. It was a good party. Everyone had fun. The celebrant had fun as well.

Anyone who had a party organized by loveones and closefriends are priceless. I know there is supposed to be a surprise birthday partu for me.:-). I'll tell you about that on my next post.

Bbgirl is more like a dauhgter to me. She is my siter but because of the age gap and everytime she needs something she talk to me first. I was the one paying for school especially for college. I just want good for her she is my little sister.

For my birthday she made this video. It brings back memory on how i look when I was a kid. How skinny i was. How I was i can go back to that look. Only in my imagination right.

I may not won a house but husband i want to have a decent things in the house. At least we can see where our money went. we already have a nice furnitures, dining set now we are workin g to get a matching bureaus for the girls for their bed room. We are also thinking to get a new PC in the house a laptop is better one it will save us space. Anyway we have a wireless internet. This is what I want HP Envy Spectre Ultrabook. March 1st 1976 the month, day and year i was born. I was born on a leap year. Good thing I did not born on Februrary 29 if that the case I will be 9 years now then. I turned 36 today. I had fun. I stayed home did mot go to work. I spent the day hanging in the house. It was nice. For a change no kids even husband. Just mama and I.

I received greetings all iver the world. Imee and Mercy came over and stayed for supper. I had fun. We had home made chinese food for supper. I made ftied rice, lomein and all meat eggroll. The girls made me cake. Angel made a special birthday song while Leona made me a ring.

It os nice to know that there are a lot of people out there who lkve and care for you. Roger said I deserve it anyway i am a good person. Oh thank you hon.

36 today thank you God for another year.

birthday party @ Work

it was so nice of my coworkers did something for me for my birthday. because I already had a schedule time off on my birthday they did something yester February 29th. The did decorate my cube. Then now everyone who walked by my cube knew it was my birthday. Dottie gave me a gits a nice necklace. Dottie mad me a cake as well. Everyone enjoyed and loved the cake. So do I I love the good treat. It is nice to know a lot of people cared for you.

I must be a good person then. Thank to my PharMerica people.

Small house

I never thought I would have a house big enough for ADT Security Cameras, but really you don't have to have a mansion of a house. I love my home, it is where I brought each of children home from the hospital to and where I have so many wonderful memories. It may not be a mansion, but I want it to be protected. Having an alarm system makes me feel like I am doing everything I can to keep my family and my house safe. Of course things happen, I am not one of those people that thinks bad things shouldn't happen to good people. I know that struggles make you stronger. I also know that I can feel good knowing that I have done everything in my power to keep my family safe. I just don't want to have any regrets when it comes to my family. They are the most important thing to me. So, I decided that a small monthly fee was no big deal to help me feel safe and make sure my home is not disrupted.

Kids Bucket List

Both my daugthers Leona and Angel gave us a list of what they want to do amd place they want to go. We listed them as their bucket list. Husband and I keep telling the girls that we don't have much money but we always do simething for them. Every summer we alwaus go somewhere fun for the whole family. We want to make it sure we build enoigh good memory on our girls. That when they get old they will remember that mom and dad always do something fun for the family.

Going to Disney world is one of the place they want to go. Anyway Roger and I are talking that maybe we will be going to Orlando Florida. In Orlando Florida there are a lot things to do. Like going to the beach and of course the disney world. It might cost a lot of money but we know for sure the girls face will be priceless.

If we are going to Florida Roger already did a little bit research. We will be staying in one of the Orlando hotels. Rogers Aunt and Uncle own a time square we are hoping we can used their share. These should help us save a lot. Anywhere were we are going ti stay we make it sure it feels like home. Because more or less we will be staying at least a week.
Orlando hotel reviews diffinitely will answer whatever we want to know about hotels in the area.

Now we have this solid plan. Roger and I need to work harder to be anle to the big family vacation that my girls love to go. This will be deleted from their bucket list.

Day trip to Asian Store

It has been a while since I went to Kam Man Store (an Asian store) @ Quincy, Ma. Today the family went to Kam Man. I received my advance birthday presents from Roger Angel. Not to count we bought some good foods that we all love.

This lighted Angel is from my Angel. It was so nice and thoughtful of her to buy me this. She knows how much i love Angel. She used to buy this with her own money.

This is a maneko Neko iterally "Beckoning Cat"; also known as Welcoming Cat, Lucky Cat, Cat Swipe, Money cat, or Fortune Cat. This is also one of my wants lists that my husband gave me. This is one of my birthday gift. It is not yet my birthday but feels like it is already.

This big wall fan decoration is a fan i had been wanting to have. it has dragon which is my Chinese sign and this year is year of the dragon. i do believe this is my year. So far luck are keep coming. Finally after a long wait of waiting her it is. Thanks to my husband for giving this.

By just going to the store together with the whole family was fun. That is how we are. Simple things makes everyone happy especially if the whole family in it.

Saturday movie day was not in our plan for the weekend. But Yna text me Saturday afternoon if I am interested to watch Journey 2 Mysterious Island. She had a 5 free tickets with pop corn and soda. So why not right? I may already have plan for the weekend but for a free movie and everyone in the family can go for free. The theater is in Warwick Rhode Island we did go.

Thanks to Yna. The family had fun. We went to have dinner with Cindy, her mom and the kids.

It's Saturday and here I am wide awake since 5:30. Why is it that on weekdays I am looking forward for weekend to come so that I can able to sleep not at least 7am. And weekdays seems hard to open your eyes you still want to sleep and stay and bed. Because I have work I have to drag myself in getting up. Here Saturday I don't need to but I am awake even earlier if I am working. So much for looking forward to sleep right?

Anyway I will be a little bit busy this weekend. I will be doing my grocery, maybe do shopping for myself and watch Journey 2 with my family this afternoon.

Walking on Heels

I love wearing heels but one thing I don't like is the noise of my steps. It is me or my shoes. Making noise more on if I wear high heels an stilleto high heels. As others said it is normal of you wearing heels but it annoys me. So I am so conscious if I make that loud noise myself.

I just wish I know what to do to avoid making too much noise. My co-worker recognize me if it is me though the sound of my steps. I am thinking maybe I can put rubber at the bottom of my shoe.

Saying Good Bye

It is hard to say good bye to someone even they are not close to our heart how much more on someone you love especially saying good bye as you are aware that you will not able to see this person anymore. Last Thursday February 9th, 2012 Dave Denise's husband passed away. Denise is Rogers' cousin whom so very good to my family. Since Roger and I get married they become part of our lives.

Dave used to do caterings in fact when Roger and I got married in church 11 years ago he did our food. we did not pay a single penny. That was a very big help on Rogers/ pocket. Not just that every event like our kids christening we held both in their house. This is how good this family to my family.

Dave was battling brain cancer for at least six months. He was fighting to be alive but it his Gods call for him to go home to where he came from. it was hard but it is better for him and for everyone. He will no longer in pain. The people like his wife Denise and kids will keep all the good memories he left. He was a good man.

The wake was last February 13th and the mass was February 14th. the kids went with us. It was a little bit hard on my kids as they remember him. They used to teased my girls. Overall they did well.

Is it really time to say good bye or we just say see you later. Either way we know Dave is now in Good hand. His goodness will be kept in our heart forever. To Dave thank you for everything you did to my family. Rest in Peace Dave.
