		<description>While I have been out of commission for the last week with this cold, flu what ever it is that is kicking my butt, I had to take some photos so Maggie was elected. These were taken in my office where Maggie posed very nicely for her photos, until she had enough, and that was the end. Maggie May will be two in April, three days before I turn 60, I think her and I are on the same page mentally sometimes. The dog collar was a gift from her uncle Jon, that was requested by my wife Kathleen. I&amp;#8217;m not overly thrilled with it, but Maggie does not seem to care either way. 		<description>The No. 6 Old Town Coyotes used outstanding games from Ashley England and Courtney Treadwell to take a 60-57 overtime win over No. 3 Camden Hills of Rockport in an Eastern Maine Class B basketball quarterfinal at the Bangor Auditorium Friday night. The Windjammers did not have an answer for Treadwell and England as they both stepped up their game for the playoffs. Scoring for Camden Hills were, Jordan Knowlton with 23 points; Sarah Steele and Taylor Porter 13 each; Megan Legage four; and Marina French and Jackay Richards, both two. For Old Town, England poured in 19 points; Courtney Treadwell, 15; Kelsey Maxim and Ashley Abbot seven each; and Samantha McLaughlin and Brooke Cole six each. 		<description>The No. 2 Medomak Valley boys basketball team came out hot and after a good first half from both teams the Panthers opened up the lead and took a 65-39 win over No. 7 Oceanside. This was Oceanside&amp;#8217;s first appearance at the &amp;#8220;Mecca&amp;#8221; as they are a consolidation of Georges Valley and Rockland. Medomak Valley will advance to the semifinal against Gardiner at 2:05 Wednesday, Feb. 22. Scoring for Medomak Valley were Isaac Greenrose had 19 points to lead the Panthers; John Murray added 17; Shane Osier seven; Ryan Ripley six; Alex Greenrose five; Deering Genthner four; Russell Wood three; and Kazu Tibbetts and Robby Griffin, both two. For Oceanside, Alex Wallace and Shea Davenport had nine points each; Sam Meklin, David Harrison and Nick Judge five each; and Ben Wallace, Stone-Patterson and Hunter Grindle, all two. 		<description>Tied at 47-47 at the end of regulation the No. 3 Gardiner boys basketball team outscored No. 6 Nokomis 9-0 in overtime to advance to the class B semifinal Wednesday with a 56-47 win in Eastern Class B quarterfinal action at the Bangor Auditorium Friday. The game was back and forth the whole way until the overtime when Gardiner stepped up the intensity to capture the win. Scoring for Gardiner were, Aaron Toman had 14 points; Matt Hall 12; Alonzo Connor 11; JustinLovely nine; Jake Palmer eight; and Tyler Jamison two. For Nokomis, Andrew Cartwright had 15 points; Spencer Hartsgrove 13; Ruel Libby and Ethan Pearl six each; Drew Wing five; and William Cartwright two.
