John Kennedy Toole, wrote this when he was only fifteen – a great book for a fifteen year old kid. I felt obligated to read this after reading ‘Confederacy of Dunces’. The John Toole story is a sad one. He stuck the manuscript for Confederacy in his desk when finished – then killed himself. Ten years later his mother found it, and turned it over to a publisher. It won the Pulitzer that very first year. The poor guy will never know what he had accomplished. Sad really. What if it was the answer to what ailed him? Maybe it would have made him happy enough to want to live. Who knows. I really feel bad for his Mom. She realized his potential a decade after his tragic suicide – making her relive the pain. But heres Neon Bible, showing the potential of a teenager to become a Pulitzer Novelist. If you read one – you have to read the other.

Prince William has been a very likable, charismatic Prince. He shows a lot of genuine personality. He’s performed well in school and military service. Which wasn’t easy to do, after the tragedy of his Mother’s loss. When I lost my Dad, it wasn’t easy to endure. But Prince William carried on very well – even though, it showed to the public, that it effected him for quite some time – he honored his Mom with his performance. He then went on to find a real, and beautiful girl, who was a commoner (non-royal), like his Mother. Thus, enter Kate.

Princess Cathrine is a seriously fine looking woman. She’s sexy; very sexy. And is said to be very intelligent and sensible. She is known to be very down to Earth. And anyone who has watched them carefully; can see she puts a genuine smile on the guys face – she makes him happy. She met Prince William at St. Andrews College in Cambridge, England. But admittedly, he’s a good-looking guy; and he could have gotten a date or two, without being a Prince. She looks real good in a bikini – from a Prince point of view; that’s a major plus! She’s stylish, without looking silly. Good taste. Practical and understated.

They had a stupendous wedding today. Perfect, without being over done. Yes, it was a Royal affair – but these two are very loved and admired by the British people – and Americans. They seem a very modern young couple, and will be the King and Queen sometime in the future. What’s most important, is these two didn’t ever have a choice about being Royalty – at least Prince William didn’t – he was born into it. Thus, I hope the couple has a chance to live as normally as possible. They will always be in the spotlight, but Prince William never asked for it. The tragedy of Princess Diana involved her driver trying to elude relentless and torturous paparazzi. The auto accident I believe was due to relentless camera flashes in the eyes of her driver. If only someone could track those creatures down, and beat them to death for what they caused. They actually photographed the dying Princess Diana instead of helping her. That’s evil.

I really wish them the best life together, first and foremost. I hope they have their privacy respected. And I pray that the crazy people stay out of their life together. No cockroach paparazzi, to cause any tragedy like with Princess Diana. God bless these two – they really seem like two genuine people, who deserve everyone’s blessing.

Unbeknownst to me at the time I was driving, I literally headed right into this Tornado in Ringgold, Ga. Wednesday, April 27, 2011. I fortunately, arrived seconds after it hitting my spot – and not before. I was heading from the area I live in Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., to a grocery store in Ringgold, Ga.. The sky from where I live can be seen for miles in every direction. The sky completely to the South where Ringgold, Ga. is, looked the most clear of all. To the North and Northeast it looked solid black and evil. The storm line had past our home about 30 min. prior. Ringgold, Ga. is about 10 miles further South than my home. So, I believed whole heartedly that with all storms having passed; and seen to be many miles away; it was all business as usual. So, I drove on down to Ringgold, Ga. rain and wind free.

Suddenly, it grew completely dark. This happened almost as if someone had flipped a light switch. I had just arrived at the Ringgold, Ga. exit on I-75. Mass sections of huge trees began landing on the off ramp in front of me, and debris of all types flying through the only light that came from my headlamps. To my left, I could see that simultaneously, mass chaos was happening on I-75. The car was being rocked around by intense wind, as if someone was shoving hard on it. As the wind subsided, I began moving my car forward up the ramp. I had to zig-zag around big whole trees and other debris. At the top of the ramp, my headlamps began revealing the reality of what just went down – the SHELL Gas Station that I stop at frequently, was completely gone! Holy Shit! Shreds of what once had been there was all that remained! There were trees fragments (huge), and power cables, and cars everywhere! The little town of Ringgold, Ga. to the right – which is normally well lit, and discernible from this elevated position – was no where to be seen. Complete darkness.

I slowly proceeded off the ramp and turned to the right. my headlamps began revealing what looked like the aftermath of carpet-bombing! It was shocking to see buildings literally shredded to pieces. There was what remained of a formally wooded hill – trees gone; but some trunks still rooted in the ground. The trunks that remained appeared as if they had been blown up. The tornado was so concentrated there – it looked as if 2 ft. diameter trees had been snapped like celery stalks! It was also striking to realize the manner in which the debris of buildings, poles and trees had been destroyed – it was as if it all had actually been run through a shredder. Sections of buildings didn’t look simply dismantled; but look torn like pieces of paper. Big, thick pieces of metal!

I maneuvered about fifty feet from the ramp and had to stop. I couldn’t tell where or how to proceed. I started to call my son Cameron, when all of a sudden, a small herd of cows came trotting down the road passed my car. After a few minutes, I proceeded away from Ringgold, Ga. in a procession of cars going the only direction we could. It was then that I past the location where a Wendy’s and Food Lion once stood. Man, they were shredded – I MEAN SHREDDED! We apparently were actually traveling across the touch-down path of the Tornado.

The Ringgold, Ga., Catoosa County Police, Fire, and Ambulance services; as well as; neighboring communities were actually impressively fast on the scene. I’m sure they had vast areas to cover. The location near Food Lion was being responded to immediately. They directed us through the debris field and out away from the epicenter of the Tornado disaster. It took over an hour for me to work my way back to Ft. Oglethorpe. I traveled back-roads that were covered in debris for about 1-2 miles.

In the wake of this terrible natural tragedy in Ringgold, Ga., they are still locating and accounting for any fatalities. As of this writing, final totals of the devastation have not officially been given.
