So far the film has been through a once through and now the details will be added before it is polished. After the first run through, the running time of the film is sitting at a comfortable 19 minutes. The goal is to keep the film under 25 minutes. Credits haven't been added and there are a few scenes that need to re-edited, but there are no worries about going over the time. That is great news because this means no scenes need to be cut due to time. A rough cut will be done in the next few days and then Eric and Chad will go over it to decide what needs to be done next. This rough cut will also be used to attract some original music. The goal to have it completed for an end of the summer screening for the cast and crew is still the goal.

On more “Wednesday” news, there is a possibility that a scene will be posted on the RoomMate Productions and <a href="http://www.myspace.com/rmpwednesday" target-"_blank">“Wednesday” MySpace pages. If not a scene, maybe a short trailer. Basically, there will be some sort of sneak peek at this flick before the full length version is available to the public.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/RoommateProductions

That’s a wrap!

On Sunday, RoomMate Productions wrapped principle photography on their sixth short film, “Wednesday”. Filming last Sunday was not only the last day of filming, but it was the filming of the climax of the movie. It was going to be a very emotional day, so to make it a little easier for the actors and the extras, Chad and Eric made sure to keep it light. There was some joking around and that helped keep everyone in good spirits. There were also some kids there that helped make this an enjoyable day. The call for extras was a success and the number of people that showed up was exactly what RMP was hoping for. It was bitter sweet to finish up filming. It is always hard because it is fun to hang out with all of the actors who most of them have the same goal as you; to make this film the best it can be. Then again, there have been a lot of set backs on this film and it is a relief to see it completed.

It is now onto the editing bay to put it together and turn the last six days of production into a film. After that it will be in need of a musical score. The music will be a big part of this film. RMP does have an interested party and once a deal is made you can be sure to check back here for updates.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/RoommateProductions

YouTube rolls out red carpet for indie films

Story Highlights

YouTube sets up virtual screening room to show indie films

Screening room highlights four films a week, picked by an editorial panel

Filmmakers can choose to have a "Buy Now" button attached to their work

Some filmmakers have already landed deals thanks to YouTube's promotions

YouTube rolls out red carpet for indie films
http://feeds.feedburner.com/RoommateProductions

Wednesday - Day Four

After only an hour of shooting, filming on Day 4 for the film "Wednesday" was complete. Filming for RMP alumni Christi Koch and her daughter Alyssa Koch was set up and shot in record time. It was great filming with Christi again. Before this project, she had a very small part in two RMP films; both times playing a customer in a store. She was in RMP's "Kitty Cats and Exit Signs" playing a customer in a bookstore. There she had her famous line, "Do you have any books on New England?" Christi also was a background actor in RMP's "Aisle to Aisle". At the time she was pregnant with Alyssa. The short film is available for viewing on YouTube.com, Christi is the only pregnant woman in the film looking at the coffee. It was also great filming with Alyssa. She is the youngest person that RMP has worked with, only 3 years old. She did a great job and we are hoping to work with her again.

Now there is only one day left. Day 5 will be a big day and will be similar to Day 1. This will be the most emotional day because we will be filming what will be the end of the film. Since this film is about young people and violence, you can only imagine how it will end. There will be a call for a lot of extras for these scenes and everyone will have to be involved. These scenes are the climax of the film and the demands from RMP for this will be great. It will be the most acting we've ever asked for from an extra. This is what the audience will be talking about after they see the film.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/RoommateProductions

Wednesday - Day Three

As final "cut" was called on Day 3 of the film "Wednesday", a thought of what was to come came to mind... only two more days are left on this production and then it is time to edit.

But anyway, back to day 3....
Adam A. Koch was back to bring the troubled character of "Kenny" to life - on his birthday, of all days. So filming started off with a Happy Birthday song and some cake.

Day 3 was the day we filmed with Jeanne Jaroch. This was the first time she has worked with RoomMate Productions. She has worked with Eric & Chad before on a special project Eric did for PayPal, but this was the first time she has been on an RMP set (aka Chad's house). It was great working with her and now that she is an official "RMP Alumni", she will more than likely be asked back on a future RMP film.

Day three was one of two of the shortest days of filming. The second one is next week. We are filming with Christi and Alyssa Koch. Day 4 will more than likely be shorter than Day 3. Then after a week off we will be filming Day 5. This will be compared to Day 1, except it could possibly be the most emotional day of filming. Not only is this the final day of filming, but RMP will be filming the final scenes of the movie. More on that later...
http://feeds.feedburner.com/RoommateProductions

Another RMP update...

Chad and Eric have a reason to celebrate; they have equaled the amount of days shooting on their last feature film. They are also scheduled for three more days that look like they will actually happen. Filming on "Wednesday" is going along great. Tiffany and the staff at Julio’s welcomed RMP to come in and disrupt their pre-opening routines so a small indie film crew could film their latest short film. To hear more about how that day went, be sure to check out the “Wednesday” film page at myspace.com/rmpwednesday

Once filming is done for "Wednesday", RMP will be back into pre-production mode on "Table for Two". Filming on this short film will be sometime in June. A bit of trivia... this film was scheduled to be shot right before "Wednesday", but the lead actress is currently pregnant. So, RMP is waiting for the baby to come so filming can happen. The plan is to have another extras casting call. Chad is hoping to get this film shot all in one day. Eric is just hoping to attend since he will have a brand new baby in June.

Finally, this summer is being dedicated to building up a budget for "Life Unattended". A new resource has come RMP’s way in the form of an actress in an RMP film. Hopefully it will produce some great results.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/RoommateProductions

The acronym RMP...

Is it more official now that AcronymFinder.com says RMP is an appreviation for RoomMate Productions?
http://feeds.feedburner.com/RoommateProductions

Wednesday – Day 1

RoomMate Productions' sixth short film "Wednesday" has gone from preproduction into production. This was a big deal for Chad and Eric because the last time they took a film into production they had to table it after two days until further notice. RMP wanted to start off production with a nice small scene, but that scene was scheduled to be shot last month and was forced to be rescheduled. This made the first day of shooting one of the biggest days of the production; no pressure. The location was an office where many extras were needed, something the guys have had bad luck with in the past. On this day though, everything seem to go off without a hitch. Nine extras showed up which was the perfect amount for the office scenes. They did an awesome job and RMP hopes to work with all of them again. There were also two new crew members, Bobby and Addam, that stopped by to help and they contributed their talents behind the camera. Bobby and Addam did an awesome job and even said they would be willing to help on the other four days of production. Finally, Adam “Almighty” Koch was able to stop by and help make sure that everyone got into the location and made sure to get everyone's contact information. If it wasn't for Adam the day would have been very difficult.

Since Eric was in all of the scenes shot, Chad took the helm as the director. With the help of Bobby and Addam, he was able to get a lot of great shots. The main actors in this shot along with Eric were two RMP alumni and a newbie. Patrick Smith ("Halfway Point") did an excellent job as "Keith". He hasn't worked with RMP since 2003, so it was good to have him back on the set. This also saw the return of Michelle Schrage ("Life Unattended") who did a great job playing the part of "Janet". She worked with RMP last summer on an uncompleted project. Welcomed to the set was Monica Brooks. She works with Eric at PayPal and did such a good job in a side film project he worked on that she was an excellent candidate for the part of "Ellen" the office supervisor; she didn't disappoint.

Actual filming started just before 1pm and lasted until just before 3pm. Not bad for three office scenes. A big "Thank You" goes out to Eric's wife Angela for helping with the location. Day 2 is scheduled for next weekend. The day will consist of a smaller cast, but will be a longer day over all.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/RoommateProductions
