Living in SW Oklahoma we battled sand fleas all year long, conventional treatments were not working and even making our Dogs sick! So what's in it?? Well we stumbled on Earth's awesome magic dust, 100% Organic Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth! We call it DE here at the Ranch. So....how does Food Grade DE kill fleas and ticks? DE is a naturally occurring, soft, siliceous sedimentary rock and consists of fossilized remains of diatoms, a type of hard-shelled algae. It is easily crushed into a powder and has a mildly abrasive structure. When invertebrates come in contact with the powder it scratches their waxy body and leaves them to dry up and die.

We also blend 100% organic fresh ground herbs with our DE, we have chosen with trial and error a blend of Rosemary, Lemongrass and Neem. Rosemary is a natural flea & tick repellent and will deter the fleas from jumping in your pet in the park or on a walk. Pets: Our best friends come in all shapes and sizes. Protect them with Diatomaceous Earth. When lightly rubbed into their coats or dusted on their premises, it is very effective against fleas, ticks, lice, and other pests on pet dogs, cats, and birds. It can also be used as an organic wormer and will kill any worms or parasites the pets may have. When using as a de-wormer, mix the Diatomaceous Earth into their food as follows:

Large Cats - 1 teaspoon
Kittens - 1/4 teaspoon

Calves	4 grams in morning milk per calf or 2 oz. per day in feed
Chickens	5% in feed, use at full strength in dusting boxes
Hogs	2% of total feed ration, dust or spray on bedding and animals
Horses	5 ounces (1 cup) in daily feed ration
Sheep	1% in ground grains 1 part Diatomaceous Earth to 2 parts T-M salt
Goats	1% in grain, 1/2 oz per day, up to 50% in T-M salt

For large animals, DE may also be offered "free Choice" as long as dispenser is protected from the wind. Your livestock will also get the benefit of over 14 trace minerals that make up Diatomaceous Earth.
