Goodness gracious! I've been up since 6:30 in the morning. Had to get ready to take my son to school, had to get him ready for school, take him and after that I went to the DMV to renew my license plate. I was so thankful coz there's no line at all. I think I was there for 5 minutes...Just in and out. Unlike last year I had to wait for an hour or so. Anyway, after that I went grocery shopping.! My, oh my! The lines at the store were veryyyyy longggggg!!! I went to three stores actually.. Don't ask me why lol...But yeah, I think the people did panic about the blizzard. Yup.. actually it started snowing around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, just when I'm about to pick up my son from school. It was very windy too! Couldn't open my eyes while walking to the car. It is still going right now. We're expecting about 18-20 inches of snow... they even said, about 24 inches. So be careful out there everyone! Stay safe!

I am supposed to start my new job on February 7, but early this afternoon, my new boss called me and said, I need to come in tomorrow at 9 a.m. Wow! That was a surprised. It is not my regular hours however. It is just part of the orientation so I'll be more familiar with the new office, files, info, etc. On Feb. 7, I need to be there at 8:30, which is like a stretch, because I need to drop off my son at school at 8:15.. so I have 15 minutes eheheheh hopefully no red lights and no traffic :)

The orientation went well. It's an easy job, however, there's a lot of info that I needed to know because one of my duties is to answer inquiries. Anyway, my new boss said, that everyday is a different story so I don't have to sweat it. Actually, I'm familiar with some of the info already. Another orientation day on Friday. It's a bit slow because they are in the process of moving to a new place, which is much bigger.

I Resigned

It's Monday and I am not going to work! Yay! :) Well, actually I resigned from my job. Friday was my last day. I like my job at the daycare, however, it's sometimes overwhelming. On February 7, I'll start my new job. It is for the school where I took my CNA course. I will be working in their office as an Admin. Assistant. Same hours, same pay, less one day of work and definitely less stressful! :) Orientation is Wednesday, let's see how it goes :)

As I have mentioned in some of my previous posts, my sister visited us from Egypt and stayed here for over two weeks. Thank God I don't have to go to work today. It's is Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday, but heck! It's only six o'clock and I am up already...I have been up since 5 a.m. and I tried going back to sleep, but I can't, so I decided to just get up and update my blog. I'd probably go back to sleep after breakfast. I guess I'll talk to you all later! I'm kinda hungry, so I'll see if there's something to eat in the kitchen. :)

Today's my sister departure back to Egypt... I'm feeling really sad! I wish she could stay longer or even forever. However, she needs to go back to work. I am sure gonna miss her a lot! Even my son asked her, where she's going and when she said, I'm going home... my son said, "YOU ARE HOME", it makes me wanna cry. I actually managed to hold my tears till she had to check-in :( She promised that she'll be back next year, probably summer time... I'm crossing my fingers coz I miss her already.

My sister and I have been going to the mall almost everyday :) I am not shopping though, she is ehehehe... some of her co-workers gave her some money and shopping lists, mostly items from Victoria's Secret. I just found out that there's no Victoria's Secret anywhere in the world but here in the United States. I was surprised actually... I thought there's one at least in England, but she said there's none. That's why she did a lot of shopping there... body sprays, lotions, underwears, cosmetics, etc. We did some shopping at The Body Shop and Bath and Body Works. I bet she will pay at the airport for excess baggage lol... Oh well! :)

This is Kuletz' gift to her "tita"

This is my little sister (who is not little anymore, in fact, she's much taller than I am and I am 5'5 already lol). It's not her first time here in America, but this is the first time that she had the chance to visit us here in the Chicagoland. It is also her first time meeting my son Kuletz. When I picked her up at the airport, the most excited person is my son lol! He was a bit shy at first, but he was all smiles when she saw her "Tita".

I am so happy and excited for my sister and myself because finally, after 10 years we will be seeing each other again. She is working in Egypt right now and she applied for a tourist visa... Guess what? She got approved! They gave her a 10 year visa... I'm excited for my son too coz she'll be meeting her for the very first time... Can't wait.. it's gonna be on December 27th. She'll be staying here till January 14th.

Wow Christmas is really just around the corner. Many Christmas parties are sure going to happen everywhere. I was looking at my facebook account and one of my friends posted some pictures of their company Christmas party. I miss them so bad! I used to be in one of those parties. I enjoyed looking at their pictures. She even took photos of their pretty table top display. I am a bit jealous. I wish I could celebrate Christmas with them.

Oh well, I am working with a new company now and just found out that we are having a company Christmas party as well. This is going to be our first year of having a party, so I bet they would pay attention to every detail from the table covers down to the last silverware. I trust that they would do a good job. December 1st was when we got our first snow, but it didn't stick...today it's suppose to snow again and will accumulate to about 4-5 inches...I like when it's snowing, the part that I don't like is when it's time for me to go to work...for a newbie driver like me, it's a bit scary coz sometimes the streets are icy and the cars are sliding :( Anyway, hopefully it won't be that bad... stay warm!

I Want New Scrubs !

I can’t believe that my scrubs are so faded now when I have only been wearing them for a couple of months! I have 4 sets of scrub clothes that I wear from Monday thru Thursday. I have the classic white, royal blue, magenta, and a brown and green (sounds like an awful combination of colors, but they look nice in person). My question is why do they look so old and faded already? Unbelievable, to think that I paid a good amount of money for those medical uniforms.

Anyway, before the end of the year I am planning to buy a couple of new scrubs from blueskyscrubs.com. I am thinking of buying one of their pink scrubs or their teal scrub to add to my collection. :) Shopping on their website is very convenient specially now that we started getting blanket of snow and the temperature is in the single digit already. It will save me some gas as well. I think that’s simply smart shopping! :)

It is December 1st already? Wow! Time really flies. The year 2011 is just around the corner. Oh well, Christmas first eeehhehehehe… Speaking of Christmas, I haven’t had the energy (nah.. I’m just plain lazy lol) to go up in the attic and get the Christmas tree. My little one here is so anxious to decorate it. Since his mommy is too lazy, I bet daddy will come to the rescue and get that tree up from the attic. :)

Hey guys! Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! This is a very wonderful thanksgiving day for me. Why? Because after a week of worrying and not getting much sleep, I finally got the result of my state exam and I PASSED!!! Yay!!!! I am really so thankful! I can say that I am now a Certified Nursing Alalay...errr I mean Assistant :)...next move, job hunting! :) Again Happy Thanksgiving!

I took the state exam today and I am a little worried. The exam itself is not that hard, but I was a bit nervous and I was stomped at the first question. Lol! It’s a multiple-choice type of test, some questions are a bit tricky, and some seem to have two possible answers. I just hope that I did good coz I don’t want to take the exam again. They will send me the result in a week or two. Hoping for the best!

Yup! It 6 a.m. and I can say that I am happy because today is my last day of school! Yay! Actually, I really don't have to go coz I passed all my exams for the last three days, but I wanted to spend the last day with my wonderful classmates and bid formal goodbyes...We will probably see each other before the state exam...or on the day of the exam... who knows :)

Next Thursday will be my last week in school. I am not really counting, am I? Lol! If we pass all the exams from Monday to Wednesday, our instructor said that we don’t have to come back on Thursday. Geez! I was so busy doing homework after homework and never get the chance to update my blogs. I have two more weeks and I am finally done with my CNA course. After that, all I have to worry is passing the state exam. Anyway, I have nothing to say really, except that I am super tired and sleepy right now. Four hours of sleep every night is not good. Oh well, this is just temporary. After this, I am going to sleep my butt off! :) Thank God it's Friday tomorrow and I don't have to go to school. :)

As I have said previously, I wasn't really looking forward this weekend but it is inevitable waaaaaaa... Anyways, it was not a good day today. I have learned a lot however, I don't like it. Fourth day, it has been rough for me and my classmates but we're surviving :) Since Tuesday we have had quizzes, which thankfully, we've passed every one of it. It's very overwhelming but it's good to know that my brain has the ability (still) to function when I needed it the most. One week done, a few more weeks to go... Not looking forward this coming weekend... waaaaaaaaaaa!
