Came across this lovely children's clothing brand from Sweden... Petitbo
Would love to visit the store someday (fingers crossed in September ;))

Every time I see adorable kids clothing for little girls, can't help but want one!!! Who knows...maybe ...maybe someday, we'll feel brave enough to go for it...all over again!

That look

2013-05-07T23:15:00.001+05:30

Wonder if my baby will read and see any of this one day...
This pic...I took of him this morning...almost as soon as he woke up...
He woke up late today(by his standards!)...a lil past 7...I had to leave him in the bed cos I had I get ready..and he gives me this look...
And I feel soooo terrible...my heart melts but the clock doesn't stop ticking!I spend a few minutes cuddling him and making him laugh...but then I had to finally put him down..
And get dressed to leave...for work...but not before he waves to me in with the adorable twist of his wrist...ta ta tata...n the flying kisses...and I kiss him so hard...I want to just eat him...
And I start my day...

Snapshots of a lovely weekend~

2013-04-14T21:48:00.001+05:30

A lovely relaxed weekend after a while! Lovely enough to bring me back to my neglected blog;)
A walk in the park, drinks and gossip at the bar with friends and a lovely brunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon:))
A happy contented me...ready to take on Monday morning head on!

Happy New Year~

2013-01-12T11:52:00.003+05:30

Hello people!~
It's been a while...yet again...home and my little boy seem to keep finding ways to keep me away for this blog of mine. That and my laziness or well to be fair to myself...just choosing a few minutes of shut eye over being in front of my laptop!
I know one tends to think this every year end, but this year really just flew past! It's almost a blur...with so much happening. And being the year my little bundle of joy came into my life, a very very special year indeed!!!
The year ended on a near perfect note for me. Road trips!!! Not just one but two :D First to the hills of Coonoor and second to the beaches of Tranquebar.
And with these Kabir has already become a seasoned traveller. For his age he was wonderfully tolerant of almost 8-9 hour drives for each of the trips!
To see him sleeping on green grass under the hilly sunshine, looks of glee when is feet first touched sand and the ocean wetted his tiny toes...were just priceless moments to be treasured forever!
And now the holidays are over and the new year has begun, with new plans, new joys, new fears and new adventures...
Here's wishing all of you a wonderful year ahead with your own special bundle of joy (whatever you might wish that to be!!!:))

Took this picture of Kabir early morning on 1st Jan'13!!! For that brief moment when he was still a little groggy from sleep and stayed still long enough, wrapped up for me to be able to click! And it was the perfect pic to begun the year with....:)

Nature's ombré

2012-10-25T19:08:00.001+05:30

We can never compete with nature's perfect colour and hues...
This gorgeous ombré bougainvillaea in my terrace garden is only another example of that...:)
It's really special to me cos it's the first plant that Sapan and I bought for the terrace together. And at the time weren't quite sure on which colour to get...white...no maybe pink for now...
Not knowing then, that nature was planning on giving us best of both worlds with its perfect ombré !!!
How I love surprises and such....even more!

Happy Friday{ with a bit of italian:)}

2012-09-08T00:28:00.002+05:30

Happy Friday people!!!
Got around to writing the post pretty much at the end of the day...with a 5 month old around..the day literally just flies...:)
I did get around to finding the time to try making home made pasta from scratch! Something I've been wanting to do for a while now. Made some spinach and cheese ravioli with fresh home made pasta and a marinara sauce . And it turned out far better than I had hoped for!!! It was just yummmmmmmmmmm.......

Have a look for yourself!

If any of you have been thinking of but haven't quite got around to making some home made pasta! Do it...this weekend maybe?! Its far simpler than you would imagine. And the results totally worth it:)

Took a few in the process pictures too...hope to get around to doing a post with the recipe soon!
Till then...enjoy your weekend!

A lil bit of red

2012-09-04T17:56:00.001+05:30

A little bit of red...in my garden!

The red roses blooming away never fail to make me smile:)

And the lil tomato that grew after weeks and weeks of staring everyday at the plant brought an even bigger smile!!! Am no expert at growing vegetables. Other than my lil herb garden of coriander, mint, bail, thyme and lemongrass...I havne't really grown much. Then one day just planned a few tomato seeds and crossed my fingers!

What grew were a lot of hybrid tomatoes...super duper tiny and adorable..but hardly enough to eat! :P

And then one day, one of them decided to just get fatter and fatter!!! :D

And I got my home grown tomato...saved it for a few days, wondering exactly how to eat it!

And then finally....fresh bruschetta it was!!! Fresh tomato, and basil from the garden with olive oil and seasoning....And it was yummmmmmmm...!!!!

Still stare at the plant everyday hoping another one will decide to fatten up! :)

The prized tomato!!!

And what became of it:)

Bruschetta 1: Sund dried tomatoes with roasted garlic and parmesan

Bruschetta 2: Garden fresh tomato with olive oil, basil and parmesan

Ahoy!

Sapan got this adorable sailor outfit for Kabir from H&M a month back...so adorable he looked in it, that I got inspired to make this lil boat for him :)
Found a lovely pattern and DIY here...And did my version for him...
The amused and curious smiles on his face seeing the new boat hanging on his mobile, made all the precious hours of sleep sacrificed seem totally worth it!

While he sleeps...

2012-06-14T16:11:00.000+05:30

While my lil one sleeps....which is hardly ever(!)...I mostly try and catch up on my sleep...
And once in a while use those precious few hours to be a little creative! The creativity too, like everything else revolving around him :)
Made this bird mobile for lil Kabir, from a pattern I had previously used to make Aglio and Olio! :)
Check out the post here.
Love how it turned out and so does he....

Happy Friday {& the reason why I've been away}

2012-05-25T16:44:00.000+05:30

Hello & Happy Friday after a long time folks!

All the months of being pregnant and talking about it here, on my blog...well now that the lil one is up and about and kicking...I've had my hands full...quite literally with him :)
It's been 2 months already. Time has flown and how...seems like just yesterday when I woke up in the middle of the night to wake up Sapan and head to the hospital...The rest as they say is history...
Its been an adventure right from day one...and will be from here on...discovering things about the lil one and myself( like it is possible to function days without sleep and still love the lil bundle causing all that sleeplessness!), making mistakes and learning each minute...loving my own mother more than ever and realizing just how much kids take for granted...feeling love like never before...

Here's a lil pictorial ode to the happy blur that these past 2 months have been...and looking forward to more to come...

Kabir ♥

Food love~ {chocolate banana pancakes}

2012-02-15T15:48:00.001+05:30

Chocolate Banana Pancakes!!!~

I am not a huge fan of bananas..in fact it's one of the few fruits I don't particularly love. But thanks to the path of healthy eating habits, my yet to be born baby has already put me on. I've started eating them too...It is after all a great source of Potassium, Vit B6 & C and more...You see just how aware I have become of what I eat :)

And so when I came across this recipe for chocolate banana pancakes, I just had to give it a shot. What better way to eat something you are not too fond of than to mix it with good ol chocolate!!! And it is healthy too! Yeaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!! :D

It's my new favorite breakfast...enjoyed best with this song! ;)

Happy Valentine~

2012-02-14T17:53:00.000+05:30

Happy Valentine~

And so like I planned, my movie watching continues...and cos today is special, instead of just one, I am doing a marathon!!!

Seen two and I am on a roll....a few awesome quotes from the two I just saw, Elizabethtown and Just Married...

Both completely different from the other and even though I liked one more than the other...there is still something in each worth watching...and learning maybe, about love...

From Elizabethtown~

Claire Colburn: "Men see things in a box and women see them in a round room"

Hollie Baylor: "It takes time to be funny. It takes time to extract joy from life."

Hollie Baylor: "We were complete opposites and it worked. Something happened between us that was not part of the plan...we were in love."

From Just Married~

"Some days, your mother and me loved each other. Other days, we had to work at it. You never see the hard days in a photo album. But those are the ones that get you from one happy snapshot to the next"

Wardrobe Love~ a lil green
