New French Toile Lampshades from Roses of Yesteryear

noreply@blogger.com (Bella Rose) — Tue, 10 Apr 2012 14:40:00 +0000

Here up for sale is another one of my romantic, handmade lampshades. In a tube shape, this shade will add alot of romance to any room.
This shade has six panels that I embellished with a lovely french toile fabric. I finished the shade with a designer trim and a rich sparkling beaded fringe. I used soothing colors cream, lavender and pink. This shade has a soft glow when lit..Top opening measures 7.5" across. Bottom opening measures 9" across. The overall height of this shade is 11.5" tall. This includes the 2.5" beaded fringe. This shade would look nice on many styles of table lamps, up to 36" high.

Did I live in the 1920's? Lampshade designers DREAM?

noreply@blogger.com (Bella Rose) — Tue, 27 Sep 2011 15:59:00 +0000

I often wonder why I'm so drawn to VINTAGE. After all, my home looks like something out of a 1920's romantic movie. Maybe I was a Flapper girl in the past? I love beaded fringe, fancy fabrics, lace, feather plumes, sequins and anything BLING BLING! "Why?" I ask myself. "Why did I just fall into making ROMANTIC LAMPSHADES all thoses years ago?" What a passion I still have for them today! I've made over 300 so far......here are some of my latest.

noreply@blogger.com (Bella Rose) — Wed, 16 Mar 2011 18:20:00 +0000

The weather was in the low 60's...the new born calfs are in the meadows...spring is almost here! Had so much fun this weekend exploring the back roads of Montana. We Stumbled upon a new rummage shop. I was so excited to find this vintage candy box for .25 cents! But when I looked inside, I almost fainted!....Yes!....EVERYTHING for .25 cents! I QUICKLY pulled out my one and only quarter and FLEW out of the shop, thinking....this lady is nuts.....or maybe my good karma is catching up with me! I LOVE THE OLD LABELS.

Having fun in Montana hunting for treasures.....

noreply@blogger.com (Bella Rose) — Sun, 23 Jan 2011 17:48:00 +0000

We have had such cold weather here in Montana. We got a break...clear, sunny skies! It warmed up to 45! Wow, thats very warm here for this time of year. We hit the road to have lunch in Billings. It was so great to walk around downtown in January without the wind and snow blasting in your face. We had a great lunch and then hit the newest antique mall. I love old dolls,

so I snapped a few pictures....
