If you would like to make the most out of your coaching and mindfulness business, it is important that you automate some of the processes. The truth is that there is only one you. You can only deliver so many group training courses and one-to-one sessions. If you are looking to create capacity, setting up your own meditation program might be the right way to go. Find out how to get started below.

Market Research

First, you will have to complete your market research. This means that you have to find a way to stand out from the competition. There are so many coaches and personal development trainers out there, so you will have to offer something unique and more valuable than other people out there. Get your market research right and identify your ideal client, and you can get started with the product development.

Membership Site Development

Once you know what your market is looking for, you will have to start creating the infrastructure for your program. Getting a membership site developed might be the best long-term solution. You will have to offer a range of beginner and advanced courses. Some people simply want to get started with meditation, while others would like to take their mindfulness journey to the next level.

Social Media Groups and Marketing

If you want subscribers and make money off your website, you will need to be active on social media, too. There are some great affordable social media management packages, allowing you to engage with your audience and create custom sales funnels that will turn visitors into leads and customers.

Professional Recording

When you create videos and audio files, you will have to ensure that the sound quality is as good as it can be. You might need to hire a recording studio or outsource the editing to a company, but it is necessary that you show your audience that you took care of everything and you respect them enough to give them the best quality training. There are plenty of great voiceover artists online who can help you get your message across, if you don’t feel comfortable with recording your own meditations.

Soundtrack

When people meditate, they rely on one sense; their hearing. That is why you might consider getting a custom soundtrack for your files that represent the topic and focus of the meditation. You might want to check out Rouleau Luthier for custom music soundtracks for your meditation program, so you can create a consistent and powerful brand for your coaching business. You can use free music, but it will not be tailored to the needs of your audience.

Membership sites are a great way of increasing your residual income as a mindfulness or spiritual coach. Once you have filled your capacity and managed to make a living, you will have to focus on new audiences and think about creating your own meditation program for clients who cannot meet you in person or those with a limited budget.

Not so long ago, cat ownership was off-limits to the majority of apartment dwellers. Cats were outdoor animals, end of story. If you did try to keep one inside, you’d be labeled as cruel by anyone who knew about it. Now, though, indoor cats are becoming more of a regularity. Part of the reason for this is that among apartment-based millennials, cat ownership has become fashionable. However, millions of non-millennials are also keeping their cats indoors, both in apartments and houses. These kitties for the most part are happy. Cat lovers pursue their passion irrelevant of their living situation.

But, what happens if your indoor cat doesn’t settle the way all those others seem to? What if you’re fighting a constant battle of cat misery? Given that none of us like to see our pets unhappy, this is a terrible situation. If your cat seems lethargic, uninterested, or under the weather, there’s a chance they aren’t adjusting as well as you might hope to living inside.

Please keep in mind that all these symptoms are also signs of possible illness. To rule illness out, take your cat in for a checkup. If there’s nothing physically wrong, you can bet their indoor lifestyle has something to do with their symptoms.

It’s important to note that very few outdoor cats adjust to a life indoors. If you’re trying to make this work with an older cat, it’s no wonder you’re having trouble. Imagine if someone took you away from the life you knew outdoors and told you to stay inside your home for the rest of your life. It would be a real shock to your system, wouldn’t it?

Your best bet for house cat success is to start them when they’re young . Kittens can’t go outside until they’re six months old anyway. Getting a kitty younger than this means they’ll be adaptable to inside living. Unfortunately, age alone isn’t enough to guarantee happiness. If your kitten seems unhappy, you should consider the following reasons why.

You aren’t providing enough stimulation

In general, we consider cats to be low-maintenance, independent pets. They have a reputation for being aloof & not affectionate with their owners. However, this distance is often attributable to their outside activity. Our feline friends are talented at keeping themselves entertained while they are off on their excursions. They come home usually to sleep. When you remove that aspect of a cat’s life, you’ll find that they need much more stimulation than you expect.

Cats are intelligent creatures who become restless when there’s nothing to do or investigate. This is why toys are essential for indoor cats. A cat who goes outside probably won’t care much for a toy mouse, but an indoor cat will. Buying anything they can chase is a good investment. Treat balls will appeal to many of them as well as provide good puzzles for them to solve.

Many indoor cat owners invest in cat trees with good reason. Most kittens and cats enjoy a good climbing session while they’re out and about. They’ll climb anything from trees to walls. Climbing is good for stimulation and to unsharpen their claws. Try to provide climbing opportunities for your cat inside your home. Cat trees are perhaps your best bet, but they aren’t your only option. You can also hang pieces of fabric, hammocks and cat shelves around the house. The more places your cat has to explore, the less chance they have of getting bored.

They’re confused about the potty situation

Few people realize how clean cats are. In truth, the idea of pooping in their bedroom is as unappealing to your cat as it would be to you. This is why most cats go outside to do their business. Although outdoor cats need litter trays, they rarely use them if they are allowed outside. Of course, if you start with a kitten, they won’t know about the great outdoors.

Still, you may find that your new kitten or cat will become distressed about the potty situation. A new cat or kitten may struggle to find the litter box or simply not approve of where it’s placed. An older cat may want to do their business outside. No matter why, this can lead to in-house accidents, which will distress both you and your cat. Until this situation is resolved, perhaps you might consider an investment in cat diapers like the ones you’ll find if you browse Pet Parents and other similar sites.

Set about finding a position for that litter tray which works better for your cat. Your best bet would be near a door, or in a room your cat doesn’t often sleep in. Let your cat see the new position, then if you invested in a diaper remove it and see how things go. You can bet, once you’ve resolved this issue, that your four-legged friend will feel much happier.

They need a breath of fresh air

We all need a breath of fresh air now and again, and so does your cat. Even a feline who has never left the house may gravitate towards windows and doors for this reason. Let’s face it; indoor air gets stale. That’s why you should focus on bringing fresh air into any house cat’s experience. This is easier said than done, of course. Open doors and windows will soon lead to a missing cat, one with no street sense. But, by thinking outside the box here, there’s no reason you can’t make this work.

There are plenty of door and window screens available for this purpose. By placing one of these in front of an open window or door, you can ensure your cat feels the breeze without being able to escape. If you don’t already have window ledges, it’s worth incorporating some. That way your kitty can get up close to the outdoors, providing them with fresh air and sunlight.

You might want to invest in a cat lead & if your cat will tolerate it, you can take them out for walks at least once a day. A short & simple walk down to a piece of greenery outside your home might satisfy them. Bear in mind that walking a cat is nothing like walking a dog. You WILL go where they want. Short spurts outdoors with you could be just the breath of fresh air they’re after.

You may have noticed that cats outside love to sniff, play with, and sometimes even eat the plants they come across. If your cats are down in the dumps bringing greenery inside your home may help to perk them up again. Beware, some plants are toxic for cats. You can find lists of those online. However, there are also some plants which cats are guaranteed to love. A few of the top picks include:

Cat Grass. Yes, there is such a thing. This special grass aids cat digestion. You can find seeds at most pet stores. By placing them in an indoor planter, you could help with both your cat’s happiness and health.

Mint. Indoor herbs are good news for cats as well as cooking it seems. Felines love the smell of mint. An additional benefit for you is that mint keeps mice away. Happy news for you and your kitchen, maybe not so happy for your cat.

Catnip. We had to mention it! You don’t even need us to tell you why this is a good idea. Just note that it could be the ideal plant to chill out your stressed house cat.

Here is a handy list of 29 safe houseplants for cats along with photos to make identification easy!

You’re smothering them

It’s worth noting that cats, like us, enjoy having private space and alone time. That’s why they often go on solo trips outside. However, your house cat doesn’t have that choice. For that reason, your cat may start to feel a little smothered. You know how you feel when you can’t get any alone time. No wonder your cat isn’t at their best, then.

The ideal way around this would be to provide either a bed or open carrier for your cat. By placing this in a rarely used room, you can ensure your cat that much-needed sense of privacy. This will become a safe space for your cat to retreat to when they feel the need to unwind.

Given that cats are often on alert, it’s also worth keeping this space where your cat knows no one can creep up on them. Corners are always good for this. If your cat’s particularly jumpy, it might be worth setting their bed on a raised platform. That way they’ll be able to see everything when they’re relaxing.

Don’t worry; I’m sure you aren’t the only one. Life is so hectic for many of us because of our demanding jobs and increasing pressures in our personal lives, I’m sure that we could all use a bit more zen in our lives. Does that sound like you? If so, you might like to start meditating.

Meditating gives you the chance to clear your mind and find a bit more peace in your life. It’s also a daily chance to check in with yourself to see exactly what you are feeling and the mix of emotions that are inside you. Ready to give it a try? Here’s what you need to get started.

Find A Comfy Corner

You don’t need a special chair to meditate – you just need to be somewhere where you can be completely comfortable. That will help you relax and get into the right zone. You might want to sit on a beanbag or your usual spot on the sofa. Some people find it beneficial to create their own little meditation zone in a corner of a room where they can benefit from some peace and quiet. Just remember to sit on a cushion or a folded blanket so that you don’t get too stiff on the floor!

Use Some Beads

Part of meditation is counting your breaths. When you are feeling really relaxed, it can be easy to lose count. To prevent this from happening, some people meditate with mantra beads to help them keep count. Whether you are counting breaths or mantras, these useful beads will make sure you keep on track with your meditations!

Consider Using An App

If you find it difficult to concentrate on your meditation, you might find it goes better if you use an app. There are a lot of great meditation and mindfulness apps that you could use. They will each have set meditation plans that you can follow. The app will play calming music, and there will also usually be a narrator who guides you through the whole process.

A Timer

If you don’t want to use an app, you will at least need a timer. Otherwise, you could end up meditating for a very long time without realising just how long you have been at it! Simply set the timer for five, ten, or however many minutes you want to meditate. Once it’s time to bring the session to an end, the timer will go off to remind you!

Good Posture

If you are sitting on the floor to meditate, be sure to sit with good posture. Your back and neck need to be straight, or else you could start to feel some aches and pains. If you sit with bad posture on a regular basis, you might even develop a bad back!

As you can see, you really don’t need much to feel the advantages of meditating. You just need yourself and a positive mental attitude at the end of the day!

They’re like a best friend that’s always around when you need them. If you’ve got a family, they can help your children to be more social and bring joy the whole family, but that isn’t the only benefit of getting a family pet. A lot of people don’t realize it but having a dog is actually great for your health as well. If you’re on the fence about whether you should get a pet or not, these are just some of the ways that it would make you a lot healthier.

Exercise

A lack of exercise is one of the biggest health problems that is facing the world right now. Obesity levels are going up rapidly and it doesn’t seem like the problem is going away anytime soon. That’s why it’s more important than ever that you make sure your family is getting regular exercise. It’s difficult for parents to encourage their children to exercise, especially when they’re battling against the likes of computers and phones that keep them inside. If you’re trying to get them to go for a run or a bike ride, it seems too much like hard work for them and they won’t be likely to keep it up.

You need to find a way to get them to exercise without even realizing it. The perfect way to do that is to get a dog. Getting outside to walk the dog a couple of times a day is the most obvious way that you’ll be getting more exercise but it goes beyond that. Having more physical activity in your daily routine encourages you to be more active generally. Studies show that people who own dogs tend to do a lot more exercise in general, in fact, most of them did 30 minutes of exercise at least 5 days a week. That’s significantly more exercise than most non-dog owners do.

Mental Health

Another of the big health problems we face right now is an epidemic in mental health problems. Whether they’re increasing or we’re just getting better at diagnosing them, more and more people are in need treatment. There are plenty of medical treatments like anti-depressants and talking therapies that help people with mental health issues but it’s also important to get to the root cause of these issues. Feelings of isolation and loneliness can easily lead to problems with depression but you can avoid that by getting a puppy from Puppy Joy.

The level of companionship that comes with owning a dog can stop you from feeling lonely and coming home to your best friend can really cheer you up at the end of the day. Taking the dog out for a walk is also a good way of meeting people so if you’re feeling socially isolated, being a pet owner can help you to increase your circle of friends and form relationships that will stop you from getting lonely. All of this is backed up by research; studies that asked people questions about their happiness levels and mental wellbeing found that dog owners were much happier on average than people that didn’t have dogs.

Alzheimer’s and Pets

Researchers have long suggested that pets are good for us, even offering health benefits such as lowering blood pressure and heart rate, reducing the stress hormone cortisol, and boosting levels of the feel-good hormone, serotonin. It stands to reason, then, that finding four-legged friends in Alzheimer’s and dementia communities is becoming commonplace. In fact, some facilities are hiring pet coordinators to aid in the care of residents’ pets.

The number of people with allergies has been on the increase over the last couple of decades and researchers think that they know why. When you’re young, your immune system is essentially in its training stage. By introducing low levels of bacteria to it at this stage, your immune system builds itself up. However, so many parents are focused on getting rid of bacteria and cleaning companies don’t help because their adverts are all based on the dangers of bacteria. While you’re cleaning away the bad bacteria, you also clean away the good bacteria that helps build up an immune system. When people are living in an environment that is too clean, they often develop allergies. As a parent, you can stop this from happening by making sure that you don’t go overboard with cleaning, but having a dog can help as well. Dogs are always picking up bacteria from outdoors and bringing into the house where they spread it around. Your kids are exposed to that bacteria and it helps them to avoid developing allergies.

You might have heard that dogs can smell cancer. It sounds like one of those urban myths but it’s actually true. Cancerous cells give out waste that a dog’s sensitive nose can pick up on. That doesn’t mean that they’ll automatically let you know that you’re sick, but you may notice changes in their behavior. Dogs form a strong emotional attachment to you so they’ll try to make it known if they are worried about your health. As well as being able to identify cancers, service dogs have also been known to help people with brain injuries or conditions like autism. They help to encourage independence and can offer emotional support to people that sometimes struggle to connect with others.

For those considering getting a service dog here is a guide that breaks down the total costs of obtaining a service dog. This guide also provides a list of several alternative methods for financing these costs. There is also a list of accredited organizations included who provide complete or partial financial assistance for several different causes and individuals in need.

Studies have also shown that people with Alzheimer’s benefit from having a dog around. They tend to be less prone to flare-ups and it helps them to relax and stay calm and reduce aggression.

Those are just some of the amazing ways that dogs can improve your health, but there are some downsides as well. Over 86,000 people every single year of experience falls as a direct result of their pets, 88 percent of those falls are caused by dogs. If you’re getting older, a fall like that could cause some serious injuries or health problems. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get a dog. It’s the perfect way to bring your family together, help your children to be more social and active, and boost their immune systems. It’s also a good way to monitor your own health as you get older. Owning a dog improves your health in so many ways and, as long as you’re careful around them, the risks aren’t too much of a problem.

Lucie has been a therapy dog for 8 years now. During that time, she came down with a disease called IMHA, which lysis’s red blood cells and makes you anemic. 85% of the dogs that get it to die in the first 2 weeks. Lucie was prayed over, saw an integrative Vet in California, got Cranial-Sacral Therapy, Acupuncture, Energy Clearing, Reconnective Healing, and spent many days with me not wanting to leave her at home. Some days I went to work not knowing if she would be alive when I came back. It was scary, and yet exhilarating because she survived all the disease & pain. Even after She had IMHA, she also was diagnosed with Valley Fever, which made her not be able to use her front right leg.

All the while, Lucie was itching to get back to work at Tucson Medical Center, visiting patients, communing with nurses and visiting staff. In eight years she never has refused to go to see a patient. Lucie is more excited today to see people than when she started! She knows what her purpose is, and what a fantastic job it is to be able to love people who are open to love.

The movie is at the Loft, in Doggie Shorts in Tucson, AZ, on June 2nd, at 1 pm. It is a benefit for Handi-Dogs an organization who trains service dogs.

Below is the longer clip of the movie on Lucie, just in case you don’t live in Tucson and won’t be able to see it on the big screen.

It’s Happening! We are moving to a higher vibrational plane! (from duality to oneness).

The truth the Angels have spoken about, that all secrets will become known within a short amount of time is being realized. Next, many of the Indigo & Crystal children who can tell when someone is lying, are going to call the liars on their lies. We are already seeing that with the new politicians like AOC. Other changes, such automated vehicles will displace a large amount of the workforce. It may be painful for many people.

I came to the realization that it must have been a hell of a time when the transportation changed from horses to cars. Yet today it isn’t even more than a paragraph in the history books.

“There are only two beings who like change. A baby with a dirty diaper and someone in pain”

You can learn to embrace the change, knowing, having faith that the future will be a glorious version of what you manifest? To have faith that the future holds even more promise than the past. To believe that the best is yet ahead.

I am not talking about passive waiting. They will be done waiting or God to plan out what happens to YOUR life. No, I am talking about having a vision, then also doing meaningful action towards it. You have to do your part, then get out of the way. Take your hands off, just like I have to not hold on to the ceramic pieces I make when they go in the kiln.

Rest in the knowledge that consciousness always expands. The future is coming faster, Like compound interest on consciousness. Those that try to hold us back from that actual slingshot us MORE into the future once they lose their grip. Once the genie is out of the bottle it cannot be jammed back in.

Have faith that you can create a loving future, do not give in to fear, or waste time with gossips and fearmongers. – Emmanuel

For a lot of people, it really feels like their family isn’t fully complete without a dog. After all, dogs might be called “man’s best friend” but they’re definitely a source of joy for the whole family. Dogs can help to bring your family together, teach your kids responsibility and bring you all happiness, laughter & joy for many years. However, that doesn’t mean that owning a dog is always easy. In fact, it’s often one of the most difficult things that you can do. With that in mind, here are some questions that you need to ask when deciding whether or not to bring a dog into your family.

Can you afford it?

It might not be the first thing that comes to mind but you need to be aware that dogs can be expensive. Sure, you can save money by adopting a rescue dog (something you really should do anyway) but there are a whole lot of other expenses that you will have to deal with. Everything from toys to food to vets’ bills can end up making a much bigger dent in your bank account than you might expect. You need to be prepared for the impact that owning a pet is going to have on your finances.

Do you have the time?

Owning a dog is a huge commitment. You can’t just bring a dog home and then expect your life to continue on exactly as it was before. You need to be sure that you have the time to actually look after him or her. A lot of dogs can’t be left alone all day without some kind of stimulus and exercise. If you have the time to train and walk them yourself, that’s great but if not then you’ll need to consider something such as a dog walking service. Otherwise, your dog is going to end up going completely stir crazy and causing a whole load of problems in your home.

Do you have the space?

Speaking of your home, you need to make sure that it’s big enough to actually accommodate another family member. You might not think that a dog would take up that much room but it’s amazing how quickly a home can start to feel cramped. Sure, getting a smaller dog can go some way to dealing with this issue but you also need to think about storing things such as their kennel and food, Where their bed is going to go? Where you’re going to keep all of the dog toys? The last thing you want is to spend your entire life tripping over things.

Don’t think that any of this is designed to discourage you from bringing a dog into your home. The truth is that far too many people adopt or buy dogs without really thinking it through and then they end up having to give them away. By asking yourself these kinds of questions you can be absolutely sure that this is the right choice for you and your family. And if you decide that it’s not the right choice right now, maybe it will be in the future.

Then the Pipolino is for you! I have tested other toy-treat-food dispensers, with varied results. But the Pipolino is a home run – or at least a 500-batting average!

The fact that my house includes both dogs and cats is a challenge when doling out treats. All my pets (5 cats & 2 dogs) get along with each other & hang out together. They have common living areas where they all eat. So, what I love about the Pipolino is it is solidly built. I can put treats in it that both my dogs and cats eat. They all play with the Pipolino, which is safe (no pieces to break off that get swallowed). The Pipolino is so sturdy and easy to clean I am thinking about getting them for my horses too! !

Both my cats and the dog were very intent when interacting with the toy and when food came out, it was inhaled. I started by using treats, and then switched to food. My dog can get territorial about bones, but was a perfect lady working with the Pipolino. I used freeze dried fish that both my cats and dog loved. This might be different with a higher valued food, but that treat is one they all relish but there was harmony amongst my brood.

The SIZE of the holes that dispense food are what makes the challenge for the pets. You can adjust the hole size easily in the Pipolino, giving you flexibility to use a variety of food and treats. Pipolino interactive health toys will help your pet beat obesity! Click here for more information.

Food comes out and is quickly scarfed up. The end of the device screws off so that you can fill it with food or treats. It is easy to fill in seconds! The Pipolino also has an economic advantage because it will last a LONG TIME.

With the variety of cat ages that live in my house, the younger cats were the ones to first use the toy. I might not recommend it for an older cat, my old Elvis looked at it and started following me around to give him food (I think there is a statement in there that I am the food toy for Elvis). The younger cats played with it, and were open to the fun to be had.

You can find the Pipolino on Amazon and at pet stores.

We like to think that we understand our dogs. Dogs are happy, friendly creatures who will be loyal to us, no matter how badly we mess up. Our dogs will always love us, even if people don’t. But are all the things that we think we know about dogs true? Do we really understand their psychology, or do we fool ourselves with platitudes and stories that feel nice?

New studies on the psychology of dogs come out practically every month, offering new insights into what our four-legged canine friends are thinking. Let’s take a look at some of the findings of those studies.

Dogs Bark Because It Feels Good

Barking sounds like shouting to us. It’s a loud noise, often unnecessary, that we associated with negative feelings and hostility. But from the dog’s perspective barking is anything but. For dogs, the activation of the vocal cords is related to a sense of self-reward. Dogs often bark as a pat on the back to themselves: as far as modern science can tell, it’s something that they actively enjoy and would do more if their owners didn’t have a say in the matter.

Dogs Can Understand Sign Language

Dogs can’t talk. That’s a shame – we’d love to know what they are thinking. But dogs have the ability to understand non-verbal human cues and sign language to a surprising extent. Science shows that dogs can recognize the same level of sign language as the average human two-year-old: not Einstein-levels of intelligence, but enough to understand why progressive puppy day care provides dogs with mentally-stimulating activities. They need it.

Walking Your Dog Makes Them Behave Better

Dogs are energetic creatures, as anyone who owns one will attest. Far from being something only good for their physical health, getting exercise is also beneficial for your pooch’s mental health too – similar to humans. What’s so interesting, though, is the effect that regular walking has on the chances that a dog will be rehomed. The more dogs get walked in their formative years, the less likely they are to be passed over to a dog shelter. Better behavior encourages people to hold onto their pups for longer.

Dogs Learn From Other Dogs

As surprising as it might sound, dogs can learn from other dogs. If you already have one well-trained dog in your home, it can be easier to train another. The new dog will model its behavior after the dog that you already own, helping it to ease into family life and accept the rules. New puppies, especially, are easier to train with another dog in the house.

Dogs React To Human Emotions

Have you ever wondered whether your dog can tell if you’re happy or sad? Excited or washed out? Well, it turns out that they, can – at least according to some researchers. When you put a dog in an MRI scanner, you can watch which parts of their brain light up when they are exposed to happy or sad images or emotions. Dogs brains, it turns out, light up in a similar pattern to our own, meaning that your dog really can feel your pain. Dogs seem to have an ability to interpret human speech patterns accurately and can tell when we’re happy or sad, pleased with them or not, and so on. It’s quite remarkable when you think about it.

Dogs Wag Their Tales To Communicate

The way a dog wags its tail isn’t random, according to researchers. Different wagging patterns are indicative of varying thoughts and feelings. A tail that wags from side to side is different to, say, a tail that wags more on the right or the left. What exactly different wags of the tail mean is still an open question, but research seems to indicate that it is related to the dog’s mood.

Dogs Experience Positive Emotions Like A Human Child

Have you ever gazed into your dog’s eyes and seen the face of a small human child? Well, it turns out that you might not be imagining things after all. Dogs may have an inner child hiding in plain sight. When researchers wheel dogs into MRI scanners, they find something interesting: their brains look very similar to those of children when they experience positive emotions, like excitement. Dogs have that same giddy-brain response to interesting external stimuli that children get, suggesting a connection between the two. It’s no wonder that dogs can be so hyperactive sometimes, especially when they’re young.

So there you have it: some interesting new insights into canine psychology. Did you find any of them surprising?

#1 – Monitor your pet’s hydration levels

When humans are unwell or recovering from injury, we are advised to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated – the same applies to pets. You can monitor your pet’s hydration throughout the day by pinching the skin on the back of their neck. If the skin immediately falls back into place, your pet is hydrated. However, if the skin stays in position, or is slow to fall down, this is a sign they are dehydrated. If you notice signs of dehydration, try adding water to their food; if this step does not bring about an improvement, your best course of action is a visit to your vet for IV fluids.

#2 – Do what you can to provide a quiet, peaceful environment

If at all possible, separate your pet off from the rest of the house and provide him or her with a quiet, peaceful environment to relax in during their recovery. An unused spare room is a perfect choice. If this is not possible, create a space for him or her somewhere within your home. Perhaps you can create a little cubby where they can retreat when they need a little alone time.

#3 – Let sleeping pets lie

While it can be disconcerting for you to see your pets sleep for long periods of time during recovery, allowing them to do so really is the best choice for their health. In particular, be cautious about waking a pet in order to administer medication. It’s preferable to let them sleep, then medicate when they’re awake and alert. If you have questions about this, please consult your vet

In addition to standard veterinary care, there are many ways you can support your pet’s health and well-being during their recovery. You can investigate supplements that are known to promote healing. Explore options such as Qigong energy healing for pets, or even consider adjusting your pet’s diet to broaden the range of nutrients they are eating on a daily basis. Supportive therapies can help to make a significant difference in the amount of recovery time. Supportive therapies help to keep your pet comfortable and at ease throughout the healing process.\

#5 – Avoid asking your vet for recovery timeframe estimates

Most pet owners will ask their vet how soon they can expect their pet to recover from their illness or injury. However, it is usually preferable to avoid doing so. Firm expectations of when your pet will be back on their feet and behaving as their usual self can cause a considerable amount of stress and worry if your pet is lagging behind the suggested time schedule. It’s preferable to try and take each day as it comes, noting improvements in your pet’s health and behavior, simply allowing the healing process to happen as it happens.

#6 – Use a trigger word for medication

If you have to medicate your pet daily during their recovery, they may start to run away from you every time you approach them, which can be absolutely heartbreaking. To avoid this, use a trigger word every time you approach them to administer medication. For example, you could say either “meds!” or “pill time!”. Your pet will learn that if you approach them without saying the trigger word, they’re not being medicated on this occasion. Then they can enjoy the fuss or food you are providing.

It’s also helpful to join online forums and talk to other pet owners who have dealt with the same issues you are facing. Doing so will allow you to access practical advice and guidance (which you can then verify with your vet), while also providing you with much-needed emotional support.

In conclusion

When your beloved pet has been unwell or experienced an injury, the above ideas should foster a holistic approach to recovery that helps them get back to their usual self as soon as possible.
