Hello Everyone! I cannot believe December is already here! This is the second year I am participating in the December Daily project made famous by Designer and Scrapbooker, Ali Edwards. Ali has showcased this project for several years now, and once I had kids, I knew I had to participate. This year I decided to go with a standard 8.5 by 11 inch album. I actually had one of these American Craft Corduroy Albums from another project so that made that decision that much easier. I really did not do too much prep work before hand, actually I only started on the last day of November.

November 2011 Jessica Sprague Projects

October 2011 Projects

Hey.. Here are some of my projects for October for the Jessica Sprague Creative Team. The first is a flash card memory game using the A to Z Flash Cards by Samantha Walker Designs that will be joining the JS team on 10/10/11.

The next two projects are something really dear to my heart and I am hoping this method is going to work for what I am envisioning long term. I purchased two Smash Books from HSN last week to use to store my childrens' school stuff. I wanted to have it somewhere in some what of an organized manner so they had it later on! I used the A to Z Frames and Things and printed them out and cut them out and distressed them. I then used them to embellish the cover page of the smash book for Aiden.

For the following project, I did everything on the computer in photoshop using the A to Z Patterned Paper pack to make this folder to store Aiden's school work. I then printed it and cut it to fit the folder. I then adhered the folder to the page and added the school work with some embellishments.

Stay Tuned for a more detailed post on this last project. This shadow box project was made from scratch using card stock and one piece of chipboard to hold it together in the back. The pictures were edited to fit in photoshop and then a few embellishments were added and voila! Stay tuned!

Hey Everyone! I just wanted to share some sale information for JessicaSprage.com. The site is turning 4 years old this year! I cannot believe it's been a part of my life now for two years! If you have not checked it out, please stop by. I can honestly say I have learned so much since finding this wonderful site. The classes are amazing, the digital goodies are yummy, and the people you will meet and network with are phenomenal. I can honestly say my skills in digital scrapbooking came from all the classes I have taken there and just keep learning more. I am seriously so thankful for finding this site, becoming a part of the creative team and learning so much! I hope my kids thank me one day for all their scrapbooks and such.

I have been so behind in blogging. I hope some of you have noticed my blog has changed it's appearance a bit. I was able to design it all on my own using class tools and videos from the Blog Design Basics class at JessicaSprague.com. I never really got around to changing my blog up when the class was going on or even soon after, so I did it now. Better late then never right? :)

JS Creative Team Projects

I was pretty busy this weekend working on some Jessica Sprague Creative Team Projects. I am so excited that I was able to create some things that I had envisioned and watched tutorials on.

The first are these Crumply Paper Flower Embellishments. I watched a tutorial on Dawn McVey's blog and had to try these out with the Echo Park Be Mine Valentine Paper Pack available at JessicaSprague.com. These were actually really easy tomake and very inexpensive since I printed the digital papers on regular computer paper. It crumpled up nicely. :)

Next up is a Hybrid Valentine's Day Card and Matching Envelope. Again these cards and envelopes are using the Echo Park Be Mine Paper Pack. I created a 8.5 x 11 canvas in photoshop and added my papers in stripes of 1 inch wide. I then printed and ran the sheet through my cuttlebug and the Top Note Die by Stampin Up. Once cut, I adhered a stamped sentiment using the Papertrey Ink Simple Valentine's Stamp Set, attached a crumply flower and called it a day. I also took some left over paper that was printed to adhere to the envelope and stamped some hearts from the same Papertrey Ink Stamp Set.

Next up is a Family Themed Memory Card Game I created for my kids. I created another template on photoshop and clipped pictures of each family member twice into the template. I then printed them on my home photo printer. I also took the same template and clipped different papers into from Jessica Sprague's Site and then printed that on cardstock. I attached both sheets together and cut each "card" out. I rounded the corners with the Corner Chomper and stamped the word "family" on the front of each card using Technique Tuesday's Ali Edwards Family Circle Stamp. I am hoping the kids enjoy these and learn as they "play".

It's {FINALLY} Friday! This has been a long week, and I only worked three days! That says it all right there...

I wanted to bring the Finally Friday Favorites back at the beginning of the year but time just got the better of me and I slacked. Not to worry, I am back with these.

This week I wanted to focus on Project Life and everyone's own interpretation of it! I am currently in the works of documenting my family's every day life in a weekly format. I decided last minute to do one for 2010 and ended up putting a Shutterfly book together for a month in review. This year, I wanted just a bit more... more stories, more details, and {MORE} pictures. I wanted to showcase how you can take this simple task of documenting your every day life and turn it into your own version, what works for you. You will see below, months in review and weeks in review. Hope you enjoy and get inspired to start one today!

Love Birds Card

What's up Peeps? I just wanted to share a card with you. Now that my sister has received it, it's safe to share. My sister and brother-in-law are sharing their 3rd wedding anniversary today... Happy Anniversary guys!!

I made them this quick and simple card using dies and stamps from Papertrey Ink. I used the Love Birds stamps and Bird Cage Die to make this card, along with some black and white cardstock, and some flocked paper.

I have been falling {head over heals} in love with stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink. I will definitely have to buy some more things very soon. In the mean time, here is my card.

Valentine's Day Garlands

Another Monday and another release at JessicaSprague.com. This project is created by using Elle's Studio's XOXO Paper Pack that will be available on Monday January 24, 2011.

I printed a few papers out on regular computer paper and cut them in to stripes of various sizes ranging from 1 inch to 2 inches. I then folded the stripes in half and punched a hole at the fold. I then strung some ribbon through and glued the two ends together to "form" a heart. These are going to make the perfect Valentine's Decorations to my "not so pretty cubicle" at work.
