Hi everyone,

I can't believe how long it's been since I have posted on here. A lot has changed - and I mean a LOT.

As I write this I am getting married NEXT WEEK! Myself and my fiance got engaged in November 2014 and moved in together October 2015. We have a little kitten called Layla and are very happy in our home together, which I can't believe we have been in for a year now!

This is a welcome back post and I am looking forward to blogging regularly for you all!

Argan Oil hair products

Hello everyone!

Today I wanted to write a post on a range of hair products that I have fallen in love with.. Argan Oil.

I know that Argan Oil really isn't a new thing to most people and I've seen many a blogger posting about these products years ago, yet I'd never tried it myself. I used to dip dye my hair to ombre style which although it looked good, didn't do very well for the condition of my hair. I recently however have stripped the colour and got highlights through my hair, and am taking much better care of its condition.

I have tried different 'hair repair' treatments but a lot of them, even if I follow instructions, seem to leave my hair quite greasy. However, taking a trip to my local supermarket, I found Argan Oil shampoo and conditioner for £1! I couldn't believe how cheap it was so had to buy it. I've been using it for a few weeks now and my hair is feeling amazing! I think it's also helping the growth of my hair too.

I also found the Argan Oil hair treatment a few months ago which I use on damp hair before I apply any heat. This helps with the smoothness and shininess of newly washed hair.

I would definitely recommend giving Argan Oil a try, it's only £1 in Asda if you are in the UK!!

Summer sort-out!

Hi everyone :)

Today I thought I'd write a post about a spring clean but summer style! Summer is always when I decide that I need a clean out of old clothes, old makeup, and generally a good tidy up!

Obviously with clothing it is down to moving winter/heavier clothes out of the wardrobe and buying (maybe too many, oops!) new summer clothes to replace them. I found some inexpensive plastic drawers that are really easy to put together and folded away the clothes I won't be using for the next few months. I then placed the set of drawers into my wardrobe so as well as being hidden away, looks quite tidy underneath my hanging clothes. As you can see below, I also bought a smaller set of the drawers which I keep my non hanging, lighter summer clothes in.

Now onto makeup, which really is similar to clothing! With me, it's a case of putting away the heavier/darker shades of products and bringing out more BB creams and lighter (not in colour, in weight) foundation/concealer. I also am loving individual false lashes at the moment. It's so easy to do at home and they stay on for weeks. This is a good tip for if you're going away on holiday as you don't have to keep applying mascara each morning.

Next I like to re-organise my bedroom. I do hope I'm not alone on this one! Anytime I get a chance, I'm buying new bedding or new decoration for my room, it's addictive! I still live at home with my parents so this room is like my house and I like to treat it well. Recently my latest purchase is an over due one of a dressing table. I say dressing table, it's a makeup/hair station but also is home to my computer where I type this from now. Below is a little snap shot of how I have organised one part.

My Summer Scent - Miss Dior Perfume

Hey everyone!

I love to browse around the perfume section at this time of year because there are so many new summery scents! I usually go for quite a floral scent, possibly sweet smelling but not too overpowering.

This time, I popped into Boots with no idea what I was looking for - apart from that I was in need for a new perfume as mine had run out the night before! After a long long time spent in Boots constantly smelling different perfumes (and nearly losing the sense to smell! Anyone else get that? When you're smelling scents for so long they all just smell the same?) anyway, I came across the Dior section.

I tested a few in the Dior range and to be honest, yes, they are quite pricey! I eventually fell in love with the new scent in their range called 'Miss Dior'. Strangely, the scent is not very floral smelling but it is sweet enough for me to like and not too strong.

After having this perfume for a little while now I can say it was definitely the right one to purchase! Plus the smell lasts very well so there is no need to constantly go and 'top up' wasting the perfume!

Yankee Candle Scents

Of course I am an all year round fan of Yankee Candles with the amount of different scents they have each season. But Autumn and Christmas scents are always the best so here's a few with a review from myself :)

Baby Powder

This is a scent that is available throughout the year form Yankee Candles. It's a very simple smell and isn't too strong when you walk into the room. I wouldn't say the scent is very sweet but it's more towards sweet than a spiced scent. The thing that attracted me to purchasing the candle is that I love the smell of actual baby power, although I wouldn't say that it exactly smells like the real thing. Don't let that put you off though, it's a nice calm and relaxing scent.

Cinnamon Stick

I'm not going to lie, I love everything cinnamon. Cinnamon flavored foods and scents. But for some reason, I really don't like this particular smell! It's so overpowering and I think it smells more wood like than cinnamon. I'd definitely recommend buying a small jar to test out before purchasing the real thing!

Fireside Treats

This is my most recent purchase from Yankee Candle as it was 25% off in my local store. It is by far my favorite scent from Yankee! It is a very sweet marshmallow type smell which I love. It may be quite strong for those of you who don't like sweet smells as it fills the room easily, but also that means not having to burn the candle for hours before getting a decent smell from it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a new autumny smell that can also lead into Christmas without the cost.

The last thing I would say about these candles is when shopping in store, opening the lids and sampling the smell is not always accurate to what the scent is when burning. I have had this problem both ways either liking the scent from in store to then not liking how it smelt at home, or not being sure in store and loving it once I've bought it. This is why it is great that Yankee Candles do all sorts of different sized products which makes it easier to try a scent at home before making the purchase for a large jar!

It's that time of year again, Autumn! In my opinion Autumn and Winter are the best seasons and here's some reasons why :)

Candles

There's nothing better than an autumn candle! When it's miserable weather and dark outside it's always nice to dot candles around but also because of the variety of fragrances that come out around the season. My favorite is Yankee candles because of the amount of smells they do (although very pricey!). Or you can always buy some none scented candles and buy fancy holders to decorate your home.

Fireworks/bonfire night

Guy fawkes/firework/bonfire night is the ultimate autumn event. People usually celebrate on the 5th November at home with friends or go to a local event being held. In my town, the night is held in a large field area and consists of fun fare games and rides, stage/band performances, food, bonfire presentation and of course the firework display. I love getting all layered up in warm clothes hat/scarf and setting out with my friends for the night.

The food!

Of course there's no denying that in the colder months everyone eats a lot more 'comforting' food like hot meals for lunch and soups/slow cooked meal (maybe it's a british thing). I usually take a lot of time to plan meals ahead when I'm busy so it's easy to grab a nice soup with some granary bread for lunch. There's obviously the naughty foods too like dark chocolates and desserts that everyone eats more of!

Fashion

There's something so easy after a summer of indecisive outfit building of grabbing a jumper, scarf and coat and heading out the door. This autumn burgundy's and leather seem to have made a huge appearance and I love it! Layering is the most important thing when dressing for a day out in autumn and it's good because it means not having to ditch all your t-shirts from summer. With layering, a t-shirt, cardigan, scarf, jacket, coat make a great combination with still looking on trend!

Daisy limited addition by Marc Jacobs - Perfume Review!

Hey everyone!

Today I thought I'd post about my new purchase of the Daisy perfume from Marc Jacobs. I like to visit Debenhams for beauty products recently because I have one of their reward/points cards for makeup/hair products etc, so building points up is a bonus :)

I have wanted a new perfume for a while now and never really felt satisfied on spending a small amount on a fragrance because I knew it wasn't going to last well and smell as good. So I visited Debenhams and dragged my boyfriend around to test all the perfumes. I have to say that the bottle and packaging of a perfume is a very big part for me and I have always had my eye on the floral packaging that Marc Jacobs perfumes have.

It says that it is the limited edition which explains the bright packaging compared to the usual Daisy bottle which is gold and white. I'm not the best at describing smells, but I would say that the perfume is very floral - like the bottle, and not too over powering but enough to wear of an evening as well as day time.

New shoes! (Vans)

Hello my bloggers - after a very long break ..(again!)

I have been busy busy busy working non stop and finally got round to writing a post again and hope to keep it up (fingers crossed!)
Anyway, I have had my eyes on this pair of Van's for a while now but always thought that the whole Van's style wouldn't suit me. But after trying them on I fell deeper in love with them and had to purchase! They are a black shoe with leopard print (LOVE!) so I had to buy them. They were £56.99 which is a lot for a shoe but I know they will last through the summer too.

Autumn nail colours and my first encounter with Essie!

Hello bloggers!

Again, I apologize for not posting a lot recently but I have been busy busy busy!

This autumn's nail colours have revolved around dark burgundy's and plum colours and I have been searching for what seems like forever for the perfect colour that lasts and doesn't look too dark (almost black) in different lights. I work in fashion retail so my nail varnish has a hard time staying on throughout a normal day.

I have tried so many colours, but finally I found one that, so far, is my favourite! I'd heard about Essie nail polishes through YouTube and blogs but always thought "7.99? For a nail polish? Really?" But seriously, it is so worth it! I took a stroll into Boots earlier this week and my eyes instantly hooked onto this colour, and the price tag didn't matter anymore. So the colour is..

Benefit Brows

As you all know through reading my previous posts, I am a new fan of Benefit Cosmetics.

I previously purchased the Benefit 'Instant Brow Pencil' (see post here) but found that I used it up so quickly! I found that I was sharpening it every time I was applying it which was definitely not worth the money and effort.

So after scraping the last remains from the pencil, and with my eyebrows looking very bare, I set of to my nearest Benefit counter in search of help. My Benefit is situated in a Debenhams (Large department store) and I, like a lot of people, are quite put off by the make up counters in stores like this as they seem to be very persistent and 'in-your-face'. This experience however changed my view completely.

I approached a girl holding leaflets to the edge of the counter and explained my problem, and she was so helpful! She sat me down and went through the 'brow mapping' technique which was very helpful to see face to face. She also understandably tried to sell me a few more products and I left there with a face full of makeup done ha! but I unfortunately only budgeted for a new brow product.

This is where the 'Brow Zings' kit came in:

This kit is so easy to use and defiantly (after 2 weeks of using it) does not run out fast. The darker colour to the left is a wax to set the brows into shape (not a colour), and the right a brown colour for overlaying onto the brows to outline and fill in the shape. It also comes with two brushes and little mini tweezers which I think are adorable!

Please try this if you are in need of a new brow kit! It'll be worth it I promise.

Lip care

Heloo everyone!

I've been having trouble recently trying to find the best product for lip care and thought why not write on here about it and ask you all for advice?!

So I've tried the basic products:

Vaseline is probably the most common type along with the different flavours and aloe vera one etc, but my lips still seem to be peeling whenever I use this. They don't so much crack, and they're not dry, they just seem to peel.

I have also recently purchased Boot's lip balms (tinted & strawberry) ..(there was an offer on so why not try both)

These still don't seem to stop the peeling, it also doesn't help that they're a stick so moving it across the lips probably causes it to peel more.

Please leave me any advice on your favourite lip care products. I have heard about Carmex and Burt's Bee's products so please let me know if they're worth it!!

Lady Gaga's 'Fame' Perfume

I recently saw a review of Lady Gaga's new perfume 'Fame' and wanted it straight away just because of it being colored, so I was very excited when I received it! It's smell is surprisingly sweet and fades in nicely after a few seconds. The bottle is amazing, though I'm not sure about the inspiration for the shape of the lid, but would love to find out if anyone knows.

Victoria's Secret review

I recently went to Westfield, Stratford shopping centre and visited the new Victoria's Secret shop! I have never been to one of their shops before as there hasn't been one near enough to me, but I have to say it was amazing. The store itself is huge and the attention to detail with displays etc is really surreal as it is set out like dressing rooms with big lighting and individual tables for perfumes and drawers for underwear etc.

At first people think that VS is all about underwear, but their beauty and clothes ranges are amazing! They have their own beauty lines and online sell clothes from loads of brands such as UGG and Love Pink. Here's what I think of some of their fragrances:

'Dazzling Kiss' Body Mist

I bought this fragrance because of the sweet smell. I don't like perfumes that are too fruity, I like to smell fresh but not like a piece of pineapple. I love the packaging of this too, it may sound silly but it matters when it's on display in my bedroom and pink matches :) I definitely recommend this scent!

'Strawberries & Champagne' Body Mist

Amongst the people I know who purchase these fragrances, almost all of them get this one! I however don't really agree. I don't smell the alike-ness to strawberries and champagne, I don't think it even smells as sweet or fruity as strawberries so I'm not sure why it is so appealing. Then again, the packaging is pink.. :)

'Aqua Kiss' Body Mist

I love this scent. It's very 'fresh' and nor fruity or sweet. It sort of smells like a deodrant kind of smell. Quite plain yet still is noticeable. I don't think that this scent is as popular but I can see why people would prefer a more neutral kind of scent instead of a heavily perfumed smell.

Soap and Glory Finds

Soap and Glory are an amazing bath and shower based range that have recently branched out into makeup products too. Here are a few of my favorites at the moment:

'Arch de Triumph' Eyebrow Pencil

I recently posted about the Benefit 'Instant Brow Pencil' which I recently purchased. The pencil seemed to be used up very quickly as it is only tiny. So I was out looking for another eyebrow pencil to have a try of and came along this. It only comes in one colour, a sort of one colour suits all, and also has the highlight end which the Benefit one did not. I hope this lasts longer than the benefit one!

'Breakfast Scrub' Body Scrub

This is by far the best smelling body scrub EVER. You almost have to stop yourself from eating it - it's that good. If your not the type of person that likes too sweet smells then it may not be best for you to be constantly sticking your nose in and taking a strong whiff as it can be strong, but trust me, it's good. I like to use this during a bath because the excess oils get into the bath water and sink into your skin making it even smoother.

'Hand Food' Hand Cream

This also smells as good as the breakfast scrub but is more marshmallow-y than sugary. This is great to keep in my handbag as well as the gel below. It's always nice to use after I've painted my nails if they're getting a bit dry around the edge. I definitely recommend this as it's nice and compact and really helps to keep your hands moisturized.

'Hand Maid' Hand Cleansing Gel

I think it just runs in the line of all of the Soap and Glory products but this also smells gorgeous. I sometimes just find myself using it because of the smell! I also keep this in my handbag or car just in case I need it. I definitely prefer this to any own brand etc.

My Latest Finds at Benefit Cosmetics!

I myself have never been too interested in the products from Benefit. This was mainly due to their pricing yet I always knew it'd be worth it for the quality of the makeup. Getting older and gaining a job meant having more £££'s to spend on things I wanted to on such as make up products. Here are a few of my latest purchases:

'Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow' Brightening Foundation
Price: £24.50

I have spent a long time trying to find the right foundation for my skin. Having very oily patches around my T zone and chin area, I find that heavy/oil foundations seem to flood my skin and sink in too much causing quite large breakouts. This foundation however claimed to be 'Oil Free' and contain SPF 25 so I decided to give it a try (after deliberation of course, it was pricey compared to what I'd usually pay!). After using it for a few weeks now I am very happy with the quality. The liquid itself is not thick at all, which I love, and the colour seems to be a perfect match and not too orange! I will say because of how thin the liquid is (almost watered down) it does get used quite quickly. I would definitely recommend this foundation to someone with oily skin as it doesn't add layers upon layers on top of what is probably already damaged skin. It also removes very well showing that it does not sink into the skin too much.

'Instant Brow Pencil'

Price:£14.00

I have never properly tried a brow pencil so when browsing through benefits collection in store, I thought I'd give it a go :) The pencil itself get used very fast. It is however high quality yet needs to be sharpened ALOT. The shaping brush end is really the same as any standard eyebrow shaper so isn't anything special. I think £14 is the right price for this product as it is very high quality for the price your paying yet will be used up very quickly.

'They're Real!' Mascara

Price: £18.50

Having heard about this mascara for a long time, I knew I wanted to purchase it. Just before my birthday earlier this month I heard about Benefit's latest offer of 'They're Real! Anniversary Set' (shown below):

Where you get a full size and travel size mascara for the normal price of one! So I asked and received it as a gift for my birthday. I highly recommend this mascara as it is the best I have tried in a long while. It gives great length as well as volume and the travel size is great to pop into your travel makeup bag for a day out!

So when I found out Anna had her own blog I was really excited to get reading :) She also has a personal youtube channel devoted to style diet. Her blog mainly consists of fashion, beauty, and life but most recently about their gorgeous new born little girl Emilia! My Favourite 'YouTubers'!

Hi everyone :) I thought I'd write a post on what YouTubers I watch the most. I like finding out who watches who and why etc and decided I'd write this to share with everyone my thoughts on my favourite channels to watch :)

This is only MY opinion and my personal view about certain channels.

When I first stumbled across the world of YouTube it was mainly because of my love for beauty so therefore came across certain fashion/beauty channels and began to be linked to even more. My first proper subscription was to Kandee Johnson as I loved how crazy her videos were and that she doesn't care anymore what people think about her, she just inspires others.

I then began to wander into Vlog channels and general 'chit-chat' style videos. This is where I found the likes of the Shaytards and the CTFXC who both do daily vlogs. Since then, I have caught hold of many many more beauty 'gurus' and vlog channels and couldn't imagine not watching them anymore!

Now for a few thoughts about my favourites :) (in no particular order..!)

The ShayTards:

The Shaytards is a channel run by Shay Butler that uploads a new video everyday recording everyday of his family's life. This channel is one of my favourites. I watch their vlogs daily and almost feel like a part of their life. I love that they're so real and that really they're just a normal family living everyday but filming it for thousands of people to watch. I also watch the rest of Shays channels (Shayloss etc). I think that Shay is a very inspirational person and through his years of vlogging has influenced a great load of people. He also has the cutest kids ever! One of my favourite videos of theirs has to be when 'RockTard' was born, so here it is for you all :)

CTFXC:

The CTFXC is owned by Charles and Alli Trippy, recently married (Nov 11). They make daily vlogs of their everyday lives. As much as I love this channel, I found myself not watching as often when Charles goes away with his band 'We The Kings'. This is just because I enjoy watching the couple together and it's harder to keep up with when Alli's vlogging from home and Charles is moving around all over the place. I did however once stop watching for about two weeks straight, strangely, this was when Charles had a bad turn and ended up needing brain surgery. I then decided to carry on watching as it was for the good of his health ha! I love how much fun they have and also their two dogs, Zoe and Marley, c-u-t-e! There wedding video was AMAZING but I think the proposal tops everything :) here it is for you - go and check out their channel too!

Run by Johnathan and Anna SacconeJoly. Daily vlogs and general fun videos to watch! This channel is (can I say it?) my favourite at the moment. I haven't been watching these vlogs for that long but always had an interest in Anna's separate style channel. I love how they act as a couple and as I write this they are two days over due with their baby Emilia! I can't wait to see them be parents. They also own their own (house full!) of dogs/puppies :) they are adorable. Ofcourse I watch the videos they make elsewhere such as the baby vlogs etc and am a keen reader of Anna's blog! :) Heres my favourite video of theirs (another proposal!):
