Just stumbled on this while extrememly busy working hard on my business plan. Ahem. I found Yeasayer at the start of the year and their debut album "All Hour Cymbals" is really great. They are from Brooklyn and I hope this is the way groups are heading, I like the theatrical and passionate music that doesnt follow ordinary rules. It is a big sound, sort of comparable to Arcade Fire but a bit more folky and a lot of extra elements. It has some interesting mixes of instruments too
