ROUSH Performance™ is proud to support Cal-Diego Paralyzed Veterans Association MotorSports. This group was created to improve the quality of life for disabled veterans, and others through performance driving. ROUSH Performance would like to help spread the word about this great organization. Dear ROUSH Performance,
Cal Diego Paralyzed Veterans Association is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of the disabled. For the past 66 years Paralyzed Veterans of America has been a leader in education, research, and the delivery of services to disabled veterans with spinal disorders. Our efforts have greatly improved the lives of disabled veterans and those standards of care and services have been adopted by the private sector helping to improve the quality of life for all disabled.
The mission of Cal-Diego PVA MotorSports is to improve the quality of life for disabled veterans, and others, by the use of introduction, familiarization, and instruction of recreational and competitive driving.
Cal-Diego PVA MotorSports is dedicated to providing a safe and effective driving program. While carrying out our mission, we hope to foster appreciation and respect for superior driving skills and encourage participation in the sport of competitive driving.
We currently have a car set up to race in the SCCA SOLO series in the San Diego Region. Our member vehicles include a ROUSH 427 SOLO car, a vintage Datsun 510 road racer, a Ford Off Road race truck and approximately 4 other vehicles used in SOLO and track day events. Our house car is available to all disabled individuals, no veteran status required for involvement in our driving programs.

Evan Smith(Editor, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords) and his co-driver Jeff Lacina(Owner, Track Guys Performance Driving Events) piloted a 2013 ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang to a 1st place class win in OneLap of America. The ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang aided them to the 1st place finish in the SSGT2-Big Bore Class, 3rd place in the Stock Division and a 16th place overall.
As the One Lap website states, “The Tire Rack One Lap of America event is the toughest 8 days of racing featuring the fastest street-legal cars on America’s most challenging racetracks!” From May 4th to May 12th, Evan Smith and Jeff Lacina began their adventure when they landed in Detroit and to meet the ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang. It would take them on the 8 day journey starting at Tire Rack in South Bend, Indiana.
“After a long week, Jeff and I (Evan) bested the field and won in our first One Lap of America race. We drove 4,043 miles, hit 10 track, traveled in 13 states and still actually like each other” Quoted Evan Smith. “As a side note we finished 16th overall, of 75 entries. The ROUSH RS3 performed flawlessly and even pulled over 1g on the skid pad.”
“We wanted Evan and Jeff to experience the horsepower, handling and comfortable styling of our new 2013 RS3,” says Tim Wheeler, VP Sales and Marketing for ROUSH Performance. “In the end, the guys really exceeded our expectations with their performance throughout the week! They represented Team ROUSH extremely well.”

May Auction to Benefit SAE Foundation Education Programming
WARRENDALE, Pa. (April 26, 2012) – ROUSH Performance and Ford Motorsports are building a limited edition 2013 ROUSH® Stage 3 Ford Mustang that will be auctioned at the SAE Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Celebration. All proceeds will benefit SAE’s education outreach programs.
This one-of-a-kind vehicle features custom silver edition painted body and graphics, a ROUSH 5.0L Supercharged Engine featuring the Ford Racing “Aluminator” long block with a 625 hp engine and 540 ft-lbs of torque, ROUSH tuned suspension, custom SVT GT500 track pack wheels, ROUSH custom body components and a customized ROUSH interior.
The live auction will take place during the Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Celebration, to be held Wednesday, May 16 at Ford Field. ROUSH Collection Open House Coming May 10th
LIVONIA, Mich. – The Roush Automotive Collection is pleased to announce the first Open House event scheduled for the 2012 summer season to be held on Thursday May 10th. This 
Open House event features WCSX DJ & Car Show, Stone Soup Vehicle Display, Stone Soup Raffle Tickets, First in Line Drawing, Door Prize Drawings, Roush Performance Tour, ROUSH Engine Build Demonstration, and our highly anticipated Clearance Sale. The doors open for the sale from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm. This sale will feature discounts on a variety of ROUSH and ROUSH Racing apparel and merchandise. Please note that no drivers will be attending this event.
This is the first of four summer events that will be held for the 2012 season. Open House Cruise-in events will be held on May 10th, June 14th, August 16th, and September 13th at our Livonia, MI facility. All of our open house events are open to the public and free to get in.
It’s been an interesting year so far for the ROUSH Performance road racing team. With a win at Daytona and a mechanical problem at Barber (resulting from another car going out of control), the team was eager to move on to Homestead for the third race of the season. We’ve historically performed well at Homestead, with a 1st place finish in 2010 and a 2nd in 2011.
Practice leading up to the race went fairly well. With a lap time that put us as high as P2 in practice with a 1:26.217, the No. 61 ROUSH Mustang driven by Billy Johnson and Jack Roush Jr., looked fairly strong, as did the No. 51 Mustang, driven by Jade Buford and Shelby Blackstock. In qualifying, the No. 51 car lead the ROUSH team times and was third fastest in the field with a 1:26.296. Continue reading
