We have had an amazing journey,
we started out with just a handful and have grown,
larger then I even imagined that we would.

Some have came and gone,
we will always wish them the best in what they do.

Others have stuck by us like glue,
I am very grateful to this,
I personally love how our community is evolving.

We recently had a club name change,
also a new design to the building.

We often update our in game logo,
Just yesterday the wonderful Dande submitted a new logo,
which is now on display in search and in the group.

I would love to thank our supporters.
Coming up to the Holiday season now,
I believe we have greatness, show greatness,
and we will have a good one.

This one's an easy one that we can all help create.

We can have a forum for when we can't be on second life.

Not planning on a facebook type thing.

I would like to thank all of our supporters and guests.

You have all been working really hard
this last few months.

We are coming to the 4th month
on this project.

Some have joined us while others have left
to persue other projects in their Second Lives.

I hope for the best of our friends who have left,
while thanking the ones who have chosen to stay
and work with us as we grow.

We will be making a next comic this month for halloween.
maybe something with zombies and a little touch of comedy.

We do have a film lined up, something clean
and classic for youtube.

Also we are working on some Studio outfits
with Thedandelion help and others
that will be avaliable for you to buy and wear,
so that's very exciting for me,
I'm looking forwards to looking at it all.

We do have some T ' shirts already avaliable to
ber worn they are currently in the book room.

Overall I just want to say thank you all for the support.
We miss your peeps who've moved on but we wish you well.
You guys and gals helped us build it and that will always be appreciated.

Good Weekend

So this weekend was a little quiet.

but that's no fear.

It was good to relax before the end of this months fun really begins.

We had the partys on friday that was great.
Sundays crazy hats were fun.

and I know that I enjoyed the weekend.

Real life always gets hectic but that's to be expected generally for mid month.
I had fun with planning.

On Saturday night we finally got it together and
have rebuilt DragonLadys shop into a modern looking mall space.

So for thoughs of you who are interested in supporting the studio
if you have friends who are creators and designers, we now have
a bigger place to lay it out.

I believe we all know that we have a wonderful and friendly community of people.
we all take turns in making the studio more interesting and diverce.

Now we have an opertunity to make our club into a sim wide complex.
with fun and interesting spots to visit.

I would like to think that when you guys and gals
to to explore the sim that you can enjoy it to the fullest of it's facilitys.

So with that we now will make a multiplex shopping area.
The club itself will stay the same.
However we will cut our lag in half by having our mall nearby.

Hey all, Hope everyone's been having a great week so far! We had quite a busy weekend.
Let me say a big thanks to CCTV Giant, and everyone who came by to support the studio, and their music!

Now lets see what we have upcoming for ya.. On Friday, we are going to have a good ole fashioned dance party! Show up, and throwdown at the showdown! Currently the plan is set for noon, Second Life time, to about two pm. Cmon on by, we will have our very own Roxie Djing some of it, and maybe a surprise for later...

Then on Saturday, we are going to throw together another tug of war match, we had fun with the last one, so feel free to stop on by. Time for it isn't set in stone yet.. So if we have any preferences, let us know.

And then, on Sunday we are having a bit of random fun. It's a HAT DAY!
Yes.. yes you heard me right. HAT DAY Wear a fav, or something goofy, but toss on a hat, and join the gang. Why? Just to be silly, and for something different.
Now keep in mind.. Ya don't NEED a hat, and you don't even need to wear it on your head.. So stop on by, and enjoy the randomness!

And hey to everyone out there in Studio land, and otherwise too! I hope you all are ready for the weekend, I know 'I' am! So lets start this off with a bang!

First off.. We are having a fun party, gathering, shinding, throwdown, whatever you want to call it Though we are really calling it a Monster Mash to kick start October! Personally one of my favourite months. So come on down between two and four pm, Second Life time, and have a blast with the rest of the studio's little monsters.. Monster status not required of course.

We are also trying to get something together for Saturday.. Though the plans haven't quite come together yet, so keep an eye, and ear out for news.. Although we have a live bit of music on Sunday! From 11am to 12:30 pm, Second Life time, CCTV Giant will be putting on a show for everyone. Stop on by, show your support and enjoy the festivities!

Now with the important weekend events mentioned.. We also have a little bit of a surprise for people. We are goign to be putting out a Studio 'clothing line' details still need to be ironed out, and steam stamped (couldn't resist the pun!) so be on the look out for that, it will be coming sometime this month.

Week In Review, Meeting to do!

Well gang.. Just like always, it's Sunday night.. and Monday snuck up on us again!
Try to avoid any flying pies, and cakes.. and whatever other pastries might be in the air, unless you are great at catching them.. or enjoy cleaning up a mess, to each their own! However with that said, lets get to all that we've had happening in the Studio's the past few days.

Overall has been a pretty relaxing week, can't always be workin' hard and breakin backs afterall! (Isn't that a good thing?) We did have one major point of interest this weekend, and that was a general meeting about the Studio, it's short although eventful past, and the future yet to be here.

The meeting in it's moreorless entirety is posted below, but I'm going to give you a recap as best I can.

First off, the staff in general at the Studios, is going to be split into five groups. Greeting, Planning, Securing, Servicing, and Building. These were all outlined more in the log, feel free to peek down and take a look.

We also tossed some ideas around for new places, things to be added to the Studio, as usual we are open for suggestions on how to improve things, you all spend time here just like the staff does, so you have a say in how things look and feel.

Also.. Holiday's coming up, want to see something special? DON'T want to see something Special? Let us know!

There has also been talk of adding some specialty purchasable items to the Studio. A brand line of sorts to help keep the place up and running like we all want it to be, if you had something to contribute there are options for this as well.

This is of course just touching on the basics.. We would love to hear from you all, Input keeps the Studio moving forward!

Todays Meeting September 27th. 2010

For the Purposes of staying on track and complying with the Second Life Terms of Conditions. Some of this meetings minutes have been edited out a long with the surnames of the participants. We at the Studio by no means are in violation of the Second Life T.O.S by posting its contents. All members of this meeting were informed that it would be put onto this blog for the purposes only for Feed Back and further information relating to the topics of the discussion that has taken place.

[12:07] Roxie: I would like to start with firstly a thank you to our staff and friends who help out here, we've done a really fantastic job of pulling this place together, within a space of 2 months, we have a good group of friends, that I believe we've all made. Myself, Yohii and Elia began this back in July because we wanting something different to what we had already seen in sl. It took us the good part of a month to get this club house together, find the land and then begin. and now it's nearing October we have grown a lot.

[12:08] Dande raises a paw and goes all " whouu whouu !"
[12:09] Yohii doesn't see any truck driver around to respond with their air horns

[12:09] Roxie: and we would like to keep going with our progress here, with meeting new people who all would like. from what I can see, is to make a more relaxing second life. which I don't know about you guys but to me that's a good goal.
[12:11] Roxie: So, I have came up with the proposal to create management teams for here, so that we can all have a better time being here and also so that we aren't over worked. a lot of us have experience with other clubs and being burnt out. I would like to try my best to prevent this from happening.

[12:12] Dande: so true
[12:12] Elia: burnout is a very real problem *nods*

[12:13] Roxie: My proposal is to create 5 different teams to ease the amount of work we all put in. we've all been working very hard to get this going and it is fully appreciated and respected. However we are coming to the busiest Time of year in Second Life which is the holiday period.

[12:13] Dande whoa?..what holiday?
[12:13] Yohii: Halloween
[12:14] Yohii: then Christmas
[12:14] Ren: then thanksgiving, Christmas, and new years
[12:14] Yohii: and new years
[12:14] Elia: Halloween, thanksgiving, Xmas. The big 3 at least in the States

[12:14] Roxie: We all have real lives and during the western northern winter SL explodes usually, for a club this can be a good thing but also a bad thing. the holidays begin with Halloween and generally go on till Easter when summer starts
[12:14] Roxie: for club staff it is a well know fact that things get busier with this

[12:17] Roxie: the 5 Teams I am Suggesting that we create here are: 1. Hosting a team that manages the greeting and events here. 2, Events, this will work with the hosting team and keep it easier to know what we are doing from week to week. 3. Service girls, dancers and entertainment, we have a lot here who like to help it be more comfortable here and i believe they are good for us here. 4. Our security. and 5. construction

[12:18] Roxie: all of these teams will spread out what we do and when so that no one gets over loaded, and of course roles can be interchanged for the event that you want to try something else.

[12:18] Dande: shift change should be allowed too
[12:19] Roxie: My thoughts are that we have 2 - 3 managers per team to cover the different time zones.
[12:19] Yohii is team 5's team leader
[12:19] Roxie: actually yohii we're the team leaders of the construction.
[12:19] Roxie: because with holidays the decoration needs to change up a lot
[12:19] Dande: god bless see building as work..so i keep this away from me when I am here.

[12:20] Roxie: so now lets move on to, who should do these roles. with security and construction the roles have sort of already been picked as we have 2 from each team who enjoy what they do and do it well.
[12:21] Roxie: with security we have Kelly and Recklin. they've been very good at looking after our home here and i would like to encourage them to help grow their area.

[12:22] Dande: well...i am good in that to make me thoughts about event topics and hoist those, i am also independent from money problems. so i could collect and safe up the cash for those events.

[12:22] Roxie: with construction. well to be fare we all take small parts in this, but the management for it i feel should be myself and yohii though we will always take feedback on what people would enjoy seeing / doing.

[12:22] Dande: at least sponsor those events.
[12:23] Roxie nods

[12:23] Roxie: so lets move to Hosting. We have a handful of excellent Hostesses who work really hard to make sure that everyone is welcomed and that everyone who comes feels comfortable.

[12:24] Roxie: I think our stars in this are Elia, Ren, Elea and Ody
[12:24] Elia nods "Hosting is a job I personally enjoy"
[12:24] Arumite: Elia is a Hostess Rock star!
[12:24] Roxie: Because for the majority they have came in, taken up the role without much questions because they do it very well.

[12:25] Lotus: nods.
[12:25] Roxie: agreed Elia works really hard because she is also out Blog Manager.
[12:25] Dande: nothing to say about that.
[12:25] Eleathiel: I've worked with hosting at Blacklist previously, but as far as a managing role goes here I don't think I should, due to other responsibilities in SL.

[12:26] Roxie: what i would like to see is the hosting team grow. because with Second Life being 24/7 it would be nice if that when you log in any time of the day someones here and it is inviting. we've all been up at the late hours and it's been a little quiet.

[12:26] Roxie: Elea has been working hard to be up at these hours i have noticed
[12:26] Dragonlady: I would but with both shops, the island and all the websites LOL it's just too much
[12:27] Roxie: so the 3 people I believe who should be the primary management here are Ren, Elia and Elea. this is of course open to your own opinions.
[12:27] Roxie: does anyone disagree?

[12:28] Ren: Sunday through Thursday I have limited availability I’m usually off by about 5pm second life time.
[12:28] Eleathiel: I only disagree to the extent that I'm not sure how much time I can spend here with my other SecondLife responsibilities.
[12:28] Elia: I have no issues against it myself
[12:28] Eleathiel: So if there's anyone else to fill my space, it might be a better idea.
[12:28] Elia: but I can't speak for Elea or Ren

[12:29] Roxie: well that's exactly why I'm bring this up Ren, Elea and Elia, we all have times when we cannot be here or on second life itself. i would like to help that change so that there isn't so much pressure on each of us who take part here
[12:30] Roxie: spreading out the responsibility's so that we can all have a better time

[12:30] Eleathiel: A lot of times I've been here alone, has been times I shouldn't be awake, I can only get away with it due to unemployment.
[12:31] Eleathiel: Another factor is that one of my other SecondLife responsibilities will be picking up soon, and it'll make me almost completely unable to hang out here more than shorter instances.

[12:31] Roxie: there is another good point. a lot of us here are gamers. different times of the year different company's outside of sl bring out games that we would all like to play and i have no qualms about this

[12:31] Arumite: someone should create a schedule of who is on the hosting team and what their availability is after the meeting. those who want to be on the hosting team can submit their availability to a hosting manager, unless that's already done?

[12:31] Roxie: yes Aru I agree.

[12:32] Roxie: OK lets move onto Events
[12:32] Dande: ears perk
[12:32] Sarrah: and of course it should be realized that that schedule should only be a guideline as occasionally people can't be online for various reasons.

[12:33] Roxie: What I propose for this is that we actually have a dedicated team to coming up with fun things that we can all take part in. Again i would like 2 - 3 maybe even 4 people to take charge of this. they will be working with the hosting team as hosts generally, host events, but the event team will differ in that they will take idea that our guests come up with and work out ways to put them together.

[12:33] Elia nods with Sarrah "That's another thing too.. Real Life should always come first! That's part of the reason we are setting this up, so people don't feel they have to be here all the time.

[12:33] Roxie: a lot of the events that we have held before have all came about from us listening to each other on what we think is fun to do.
[12:34] Roxie: with the holidays there is a stack of ideas that will come up.
[12:34] Yohii: And events are real events, not clothing contests, etc.
[12:34] Roxie: and i would like to think that some one or a group can work out which we do and when.

[12:34] Roxie: yes.
[12:34] Dande: yush.
[12:34] Roxie: that is one thing we're doing well with.
[12:35] Yohii: Things like zombie assault nights, or truth or dare, or spin the bottle, or any number of things.

[12:35] Roxie: we aren't having dances with clothing aspects alone we are playing games we are having time to enjoy things and the best part that i like is that everyone gets to interact with each other and make friends

[12:35] Dande: i also thought about events which will take place at several other Sims...kinda like a hunt.
[12:35] Sarrah: let's not forget trivia.
[12:35] Roxie: because other clubs. and not 'dissing' them, are fun but you don't really make friends unless you step out of that bubble and I'm someone.
[12:36] Roxie: and here we encourage main chat as much as we can.
[12:36] Arumite: why have clothing contest when you can have naked contest?

[12:36] Roxie: i know that a lot here spend time talking, about anything the rain, and that's a good thing because that's what you do in real life and that is how to make better friends but that is just my opinion.

[12:38] Roxie: so, who should we pick for this?
[12:38] Elia: Its honestly a personal peeve of mine. We have a local chat, yet so many try to avoid using it. This isn't like Real life, where you will get slapped, or worse, by talking to people:P
[12:38] Roxie: I feel strongly that Dande would be good for this.
[12:39] Ren: second
[12:39] Roxie: but would someone else like to do it with her.
[12:39] Dande: agrees
[12:39] Dande: yush. I need a partner I can command a round.

[12:39] Lotus: well I can help in any way.

[12:41] Ren: I saw her a few minutes ago
[12:41] Elia: And also the hostesses would hand in hand with the event planners.
[12:42] Roxie: Damia is a good host and has worked hard on that, but also she has given me a lot of event ideas that we have taken part in.

[12:42] Lotus: Velvet could make a good hostess I think, but we need too find her and ask hers.
[12:42] Damia tries to remember that... her ears wiggling
[12:43] Elia: I think Vel would probably enjoy event planning more. She likes putting stuff together
[12:43] Elia: Especially hunt type stuff.

[12:43] Roxie: so i guess I will set Dande, Velvet and Damia as the management for this team. do bare in mind that we all do take a small part in each other the roles here, we all greet people, we all take part in the events and we all take the time to have fun with them.

[12:44] Dande: its not a must that I do that..you all know I am a busy bee...I would be also cool just with the fact to be the treasure key keeper

[12:44] Roxie: so really it is just setting out primary people who can be asked about what we do.

[12:44] Elia: Also on a side note... We are going to try and set a list of 'do not talk about' topics. We all have things that make us uncomfortable so if anyone has any that particularly cause them issues, Please let one of the hostesses, or owners know.

[12:45] Roxie: we do have 2 "don't talk about this" topics
[12:45] Roxie: 1: no religion. we all have our own views and opinions. and generally when they are brought together they explode
[12:45] Roxie: 2: real work politics about governments. same reason as 1
[12:46] Roxie: OK lets move on to 3: Service girls, Dancers and entertainers

[12:47] Roxie: we don't run events 24/7 though we would love to, the service girls and dancers are an important part of our club, they provide light entertainment for when we're relaxing, but I have been told and have noticed a trend of them who do not really know what their job is.
[12:48] Roxie: I know that's a bold statement but it's true. I think everyone understands what the role titles mean.

[12:48] Roxie: what I would like to see is again two managers to guide them.
[12:48] Roxie: at the same time it would be nice to see some people who can guide them about what they can do here.
[12:49] Roxie: which is pretty much anything they like, but having someone say it helps.

[12:50] Roxie: for this i would like that maybe Damia and Enca take these roles. I know it's asking damia to double up here on her roles but as light entertainment goes the roles aren't especially hard to fill out even though they are important.

[12:55] Roxie: Enca isn't here at the moment she will be taking part via the blog. because she is one of our later evening staff, yes we do have them. but we would like to grow that side of the club and therefore we would like that she is made a manager on that end of it.

[12:55] Dande: can I throw something in?
[12:55] Dande: I maybe see the a reason to create a 6Th group.
[12:55] Elia: sure Dande, you are part of this too
[12:55] Dande: well..okay....its so...
[12:56] Lotus: listens carefully too Dande

[12:57] Dande I have seen plenty clubs getting out of business because of money issues. okay..maybe Roxie and Yohii are independent from this. but to make sure that stays so we maybe should create another group. a group with people who donate some of their art ( products ) to keep this club a live.

[12:57] Ren: i like that idea.
[12:57] Roxie: also i agree Dande the money side of it and group 6 sounds good.
[12:57] Dande: that can be everything what seems to can get sold.

[12:57] Roxie: and now we will take a 10 minute break. if anyone needs the bathroom or needs more snacks needs to smoke do so now. we will resume at 5 past, so relax and we'll all take a break to think of what has been discussed so fare. hour 2 is opening the floor out to all suggestions and ideas and feed back.

[12:58] Roxie: it's good to absorb what we've said so far.

[13:03] Dande: i could create us some club dresses..some that we can sell..kinda like special version of my woollies. or a tattoo..or both
[13:04] Ren: I’ve almost finished those Dpad nipple piercings just need to export the sculpts

[13:06] Damia: So are talented folks willing to create club gear that can be sold at obscenely high prices to support the place?

[13:07] Lotus: well i can only make piercings but if that will help

[13:08] Roxie: right on with our talk. 2 things i can see that was brought up within the last 10 minutes that are both valid points are 1: club stability with money to support it and 2: our equipment here, we have a vat of very creative and intelligent designers, makers and etc all within these walls. people who have spent the time in their second lives making items to either enjoy them or sell to other people who may find them useful or simply just enjoy owning them.
[13:08] Roxie Logan: this comes onto the topic of the sim at large here which Dragonlady has been kind enough to provide as our home here.

[13:09] Roxie: i would like to think that we can work with Dragonlady here so that we can create a sim shop that we can all take part in. because one thing is donating to the club here. but in general for us to keep going with our project here we have to make sure that the sim is kept healthy.

[13:12] Roxie: my thoughts on this is to create a shop on the sim that is diverse and welcoming to the general sl public so that we can grow also.

[13:13] Roxie: because it is known throughout Secondlife that malls are a good way to keep teir flowing and also the people who contribute to that get something back out of it.
[13:13] Dande: we should create a own Brand for that.
[13:14] Roxie: yes.
[13:14] Dande: something easy.. and then we also should stuff it int XStreet.

[13:14] Elia: marketplace now, but same idea.
[13:14] Roxie: we can do this too sell items threw the market place.
[13:14] Roxie: we're onto the topic of helping us stay open threw our finances.

[13:15] Roxie: so yes, rather then just taking money to support us here, I would like that we could create items that others in secondlife might find fun and useful.

[13:17] Roxie: with the shop i think the name Madness Inc. is kinda of appropriate for the project.

[13:17] Roxie: because it incorporates a wide range of items that we can all make.

[13:18] Roxie: we have had a few comments and suggestions to widen the sex here.

[13:28] Roxie: i think the most effective mall i have ever seen on sl is Bare @ Rose.
[13:28] Vezy: I strongly dislike the ones that are just huge walls of stuff people are hocking right at the LM point.
[13:28] Vezy: yeah bare@rose does the mall thing well.
[13:28] Vezy: but you go there for the mall, am I right?
[13:28] Roxie: it is a sim wide mall with different designers all under one roof, but it's a shop.

[13:28] Roxie: I know that they are competition.
[13:29] Roxie: but they do have a working model.
[13:29] Odyssey: The most effect mall is one that leads up to the main hangout location. Thus you have people walking past the vendors.
[13:29] Arumite: as far as "malls" go I don't think its good to make it to big obviously. like what you have out on the street in front of the club. a small specialized selection.

[13:29] Ren: recon, we go there, take some notes, screenshots of other malls and see what we can do to improve on what they’ve done.

[13:30] Ren: think of it more like reverse engineering, like how parts of the f18 hornet are reverse engineered from migs.
