RCB “on the Road” and the “Road Ahead”

On the Road, i have recently got a liking to this term in IPL. Speaking about “On the road”, RCB has won 2 out of 7 with the last match to go against KKR today in Ranchi ..
It started very well for Team RCB. 6 out of 6 at home and two very tight matches on the road. At home this time we saw consistent cricket, world record innings, good captaincy and very very vibrant RCB Fans.

On the Road
As a avid cricket follower i really like the new innovations in cricket but also in the words which are being used. On the Road is one such word and it is found to be so true this IPL.
On the Road most of the teams have struggled and that is very evident with team RCB. Even though we have won 2 and lost 3 close ones we still could have done well.
What we could have been done better?
** Our bowing needs attention. Not only the miller innings but most of the other teams have played well against Us. Our bowlers need to be bowl less length and more yorkers, short ones and mix it up with slower ones
Verdict - Jayadev Unadkat and Rampaul/VK have been good partly but we need more consistency
** Our batting has been good overall but we need to start chasing big scores and our middle order needs some time in the middle
Verdict - With Pujara coming in the mix its good that we have a solid batsman at the top of the order, we need one more power hitter at the end though.

Road Ahead
Its all come down to this. Still 5 teams are vying for top 4. Chennai are through. RR and MI with that extra win are well placed but still not guaranteed of the top 4.
RCB secured a very important win against listless Delhi. Even though match seemed to be close, RCB bowlers did bowl well with less luck ..
RCB has 3 matches and a healthy Run Rate of 0.5. We have two matches at home and with the weather looking iffy and as Bangalore has had frequent rains in the last week or so, it is important that we win last match on road today. We are very close to the Playoffs and we require one big effort today to get even closer to the top 4.

I saw two matches this season and i could easily see how passionate the fans are in backing there favorite team. Even when we lose Facebook is flooded with messages in support of the team. By the time i right my next blog hope we are very close to the IPL 6 glory ..
