For the 3rd time in the 12 years R&T Computers will be closing.

This is not good. This time its for good. I will miss everyone a great deal on the Internet and in real life but its time to move on. Maybe I'll find a real job but with the way things are I doubt it so its time to just move on the the next life. My kid *(R&T Computers)* has died and that's the only thing I had in this life. Don't feel sorry, the next one will be better. Bert Ragan, Tracy Ragan and my one brother have been the only family I've had in the last few years so, they get everything if anything is left unless someone from a group called Occupy Michigan contacts them.

Yes, I do support this movement that started September 2011. Although RTC was a company, it was still in the 99% of the world that was controlled by the %1 (only the richest control everything and screw the rest).

In 12 years RTC has had many locations and gotten screwed so much. This being the last one at 4285 Dixie HWY, Saginaw, MI 48601.

I did try to run the shop from a mobile home trailer at 2626 Gemini St Saginaw MI 48601 but with the local governments saying I can't, I knew it was doomed from the first day even through the manager did a great deal to help.

To own a company is impossible. Our government

seems to think you must work for someone else if your lucky, rather then support the small business. Then when they fail, the government spends billions to bail them out and the little business as well at the residents has to suffer more.

You can not run a business from a house and advertise like a "real" one.
Bridgeport, MI and Buena Vista, MI both say you MUST run it from a commercial zoned locations and pay twice what you would pay in a residential zone. This includes taxes and utilities.

I severed this country for two years in the US Army but that doesn't even seem to matter.

So after 12 years (DBA: Dec 1998) RTC, will no longer be around even though I jumped through every hope and did everything I had to, to keep it going. I think I treated the clients better then most and helped as many as I could including sending people to my competition just to help them.
This is not the problem though. The problem with this bug is that no one has ever found the code that injects the line into HTML files, thus drawing more bugs in:
"<iframe src=”http://[removed for safety]/rc/” style=”display:none”></iframe>"

The line "<iframe" has been found on all OS Servers but no one has ever said that other then the about link, anything but Microsoft Servers are infected beyond this code in HTML files. Mac and Linux doesn't pass the bug its self, just the HTML code when edited from an infested MS based computer.

When this bug is found on Linux or Mac servers, simply removing the iframe code stops it but the only way to kill in on an MS system (server or workstation) is to do at least a government level wipe (G-Wipe). A G-Wipe is where 1's are written to the hard drive then 0's then 1's again. I like to do at least 5 times where the government says only 3 are needed.
He asked one question that got me to thinking.... Well, he made a few statements that got me to thinking...

A lot of us here on Google, use G for a lot of our data. I am wondering where are the "cloud" servers area if lets say your in the UK, are you covered legally with your data here on a Google server in the US or where ever it is?

I side note: The story says how people are still using passwords like name: backup password: backup even after 20 years. I HOPE your smarter then that. Running a computer shop I see things like that to often. It may be a little hard to remember but I use a few passwords that are randomly generated like (just a fake :-)) ^#d7324f84!9bd That may be a bit much but you get the idea. Think like a hacker to quote the writer. A hacker will get to know you. Find out your kids names/ages husbands/wife stuff like this. Dogs/cats are good info to. I have seen systems using the kids name for a password.... I just cracked your wireless network, because if you did that there, I bet you at the most used a different kids name for that. Use pass codes if you really must. Like mYson48601NOSyM simple but at least a little tricky.

No Operating System is perfect but I will go out on a limb and say Microsoft (and hope MS doesn't sue,heh heh) is the worst. Over the 12 years of running R&T Computers, I have seen a lot of password crackers for MS but 1 (ONE) for Linux systems. If you brought your MS system to me, I can tell you what your password is by putting in a CD/Flash drive and booting it. In about 15 minutes or less. With this program, it doesn't matter how tricky your password is. Since the days of Windows 2000, they have been using the same encryption processes to lock down your password.

Now, with some of the Mac based systems even getting hit, people need to start thinking about what your installing. Ask your self this. "Do I really need this program?" Every program, every time you download something... Every piece of data you put on your computer, no matter what OS your using, has the potential of opening another door for some hacker to walk through and if your lucky just put a bug on your system and not hack your bank account.

For the last few weeks, I have been enjoying the world of Google+. At the moment, there are no businesses, games(Update: games are on now) or bugs (unlike Facebook AKA MS Jr.). Also, I have been getting one of my friends sending tweets to me that has a link to a known spy where site and hes not even sending them.
I know I'm not much of a blogger. I have more tweets in 1 day then blogs in a month. I search the net every day looking for news stories to post on twitter. Then all the other social sites like, Linkin, Facebook and others grabs my tweets and my little beep gets broadcasted around the world... Nice<G>

I find as much stuff I can to put out and hope you all read it to keep your Microsoft and apparently Mac computers safe.

This is getting so crazy out there.
We have the G+/Facebook war brewing. Hackers hitting more and more.

Face Book
Facebook chat is always passing bugs around. They look at people you chat with and don't then basically block your lest active friends.

Internet IP addess
Governments are wanting to control more "free speech" by controlling and blocking IP's

Wireless Security
Well, there is a joke in its self. Example: A lot of people are using AT&T wireless router/modems and ether using the default pass code or turning it off completely because its such a "pain" to bother with the password. I came across a news story how a guy (non-hacker) was able access a wireless router in his neighborhood with in a week and setup accounts using names to point at the victim and say the victim was doing it. Then started posting child porn under these names. AT&T uses 2wire modems. On the bottom is a number that any 10 year old kid can make a program to hack it.

Web sites
I wont say porn sites are good or bad or any sites that the general public would but I will say its not the content but what you don't see that is going on.
Running a computer shop and 99% of my repairs are to reinstall Microsoft Windows from XP to 7, I see a lot of scare ware, spy ware, and many other things that bring systems to my shop. I have often found that, looking in the browser cache, I can see where the viruses and such are in the header of cached web pages. I find a little peace of code that un-packs a Trojan horse into your system and then all hell brakes loose. Now you have a pop up saying that your computer has this many bugs and if you buy our program, we will fix it for you. I find this stuff in systems using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 through 8. Firefox, not so much but yes, it is still the same foundation AKA Microsoft based. I would never knowingly allow someone to remotely access my entire system by using a virtual private net work (VPN) let alone letting a trojan control my system. Well, thoughs pop ups called scare ware are doing just that. They shut down the MS built in tools that are used to disable them and sometimes doing that even in the so called "Safe Mode".
To be honest with you, I can do that on my web pages and then you end up here at my shop getting it "fixed". It's to easy to screw up MS Windows gang.
-----
Lets see, I've talked about wireless security and what a joke that is, how web pages and face book are infesting computers....

Mac Systems
Even Mac based systems, witch uses the Linux kernel as its core is getting hit hard. Oh, and don't forget, now Microsoft is "taking over Linux" by putting code into it (I sure wish they wouldn't do that just becuase they can't get there crap right). OK, now wait. The best and most secure OS in the world and Microsoft fingers in it.... Shit, now Linux systems are going to get hit too. Since Mac is based on Linux, that opens more problems for them too.

I have been following and reading a lot the last few weeks. All we can do is "try" to slow the problems down. There will always be ways for the hackers to brake your computer. The faster someone fixes a problem, the faster the hackers find new ways to brake it. If there was a quick and easy fix, it would be over in a second. There is NO SUCH THING and never will be. Company's like Symantec and McAfee that say your safe are full of it. If anyone says your safe, they don't know shit. I see all kinds of computers with bugs and it doesn't matter what ant-virus or anti-spyware you have. As long as the internet is out there, there will be more ways to hack your system then they can stop.

What MS and the bug stoppers are not telling you is that, if you start with a weak foundation, your house of cards will fall sooner or later. The biggest being MS Windows and all versions of it. Well, enough ramblings from me for now. Follow me on Twitter and maybe I will find some little piece of advice that you can use to give you a little more time to not come see me.

Don't forget, all of R&T Computers contact info can be found on our main web site.
---
New update: Although, Google has joined the war on the bugs, there first attempt missed the boat for how to correct it. The good news is that they have changed the post and gives you a lot more details now Google

Just a reminder.

RTC is on;

Microsoft based computers are getting hit more every day because of 2 resins. 1. Simply not knowing and 2. Not thinking before you do something on the internet.
Think about back when scams came in your local mail box (snail mail). They are coming in your emails and links all over the internet. Think before you click, folks.
Always update your Java, Adobe, any and all anti-spyware software, anti-virus and ALL Microsoft Updates.

Microsoft puts out most of the updates, the 2nd Tuesday of the month and a smaller batch later in the month. Always install these.

Everyday, there are more bugs found in Microsoft programs/operating systems and everyday there are more people taking advantage of them like this like this artical I just read. Microsoft claims that a “cookiejacking”issue is not a high risk. Think about this the next time you access your bank account or use a credit card on the internet. Where is that info kept? In a cookie.

Motherboard Rebuild

OK, we get to do a mother board rebuild.
We suggest getting Fire Fox web browser and a plug in called WOT. That will show you sites that have been flagged as bad.

Other things we use is Spybot - Search & Destroy and ClamAV

The best tool that RTC uses is not running Microsoft on our servers or work stations. It is extremely rare to see a virus or shareware for Linux and Mac.

Microsoft puts out software that needs non stop "fixing" and is so full of ways to get viruses...

Face book tells you to use https even when you are and then half of the site must be http. (HTTPS its encrypted protocall that should be used as often as possble so that others "can't" read your info).

Face Books chat system is passing viruses non-stop... I keep mine turned off. For thoughts that don't know, I don't run Microsoft, I just fix it.
Keep your browser cash clean, anti virus and anti spy ware updated. Always install the next 50 Windows (AKA Microsoft) updates....
This bug has never been killed with any antivirus. The all see the symptoms but the don't see the bug.

It puts a little peace of code in html files that sends you out on the internet to pull more bugs in. Formatting the hard drive doesn't always kill it ether. You almost have to have a new hard-drive.

I seem to have found and killed it for the 2nd time, though.
(Updated 8-12-2011)
I have been working with computers since the days of the Commodore 64. When it comes to working for someone else, I am not that good. I've had more traditional jobs in my life then I care to think about. Well, that leads me to December 15, 1992. That is the day R&T Computers was born.

Over the years the shop has been in The Giant Public Market, The Saginaw Trade Center, a large building in the down town area, a small commercial building just inside Bridgeport Michigan and now, with the economy being so bad, have setup the shop in a mobile home trailer in the Saginaw Villas Mobile Home Community.

In the almost 13 years, I have learned so much and seen so much but the learning will never end. Over the last few years, we started making an automated install system using simple batch coding and MySQL database servers. Making web pages has been fun to learn too (although I am not that good at making it look good). In the last couple years, the incredible amount of virus, spy where, add where, and what ever other name you want to call it, is just mind blowing. How can any Microsoft computer ever stop it?

Just in the last year we started using Google+, Facebook, Twitter, and many other social networks. We even serve our own website. We work hard at keeping our great clients happy. I personally have been known to put in 48 hours strait, trying to solve a problem for a client, boy was that a long day, LOL.

One of my big things is to always be looking for the latest bug and broadcasting it to as many people as I possible can, just so that I can help keep the people that use Microsoft from having to come see me. Is that backwards business? I don't know but I do know that the more Windows I install, the more I hope that the world will wake up to the fact that there is more then just Microsoft.

Anyway, enough ramblings. If there is anything we can do to help you, give us a yell.
