We have implemented a lighting technology for outdoor environments. This system allows us to dynamically choose the time of day. We have designed this lighting technology in a robust way, so that it can be incorporated into our real time 3d products. It can accommodate with large models, and keep the accuracy of the shadows when you approach a detail.
We made a proof test with the model of the Chambord Castle, which was created initially for a HD film by the company AXYZ Images on SoftImage XSI.

For several years, we designed tools to generate cities from GIS data: buildings, roads, soils.
To deal effectively with increasingly accurate orthophotos, we have developed a pipeline for real-time 3D visualization of large textures. We can then import orthophotos in ECW format and display them on the geometry, without edge effects or tiles poorly loaded. This technique, derived from Virtual texturing, allows smooth and constant visualization. In the next example, the orthophoto size is approximatively 200000×100000 pixels.
