<description>House Music Mixes, from Funky House to Old Skool via Dark and Dirty. Mixed in Ibiza, by legendary resident DJ Rufus White. If You're in Ibiza over the Summer come and visit us sometime! This podcast is a weekly mix of truly good House Music. There's no talking over songs, no plugs, and no jingles - here at Ruforia it's all about the love, the music and the mix. If you have any comments on the mixes, or have song ideas for future mixes, please email us at rufuswhite@gmail.com - it's great to hear if we've been doing something right (or wrong!)! We've been hearing reports that these mixes have been played at house parties as far flung as Australia and California! There's now a Ruforia discussion group for anything related to the Podcast, the bar, and Ibiza, get yourself over to http://ruforia.googlepages.com! Coming up on future casts there's more Funky House and Old Skool House Music than you can shake a really big stick full of rusty nails at, some videos of what's been going on in Ibiza, and some exclusive tracks by Rufus. World love from Ibiza until then, Rufx.

<description>Well, as another season here in Ibiza is now well and truly over, it's time to look back and have a look at some of the amazing music that's come out this year. I mean, seriously, there's been some great shiznit around, and here I've selected some of my favorites that have been rocking my decks all season :) Yep, the Ruforia train is making all the usual stops with this mix, calling at Soulful Central, Funky Broadway, Chunky Circus, Dirty Drive and terminating at Progressive Parkway. Once you get on it though, there's no getting off :P Stand clear of the door.

This mix is actually one of a series of 4 mixes I'll be putting on the podcast, look out for the other mixes over the next few days:

o My demo CD for a club I'll be playing in Amsterdam regularly from December onwards, "Red Light Mixstrict".
o My guest mix for Podrunner, available here exclusively without any intros or talky bits, in the usual Ruforia style :)
o Ruforia's first guest DJ mix! Pacha Ibiza Funky Room resident, Graham Sahara, has kindly donated an amazing mix to Ruforia that will rock your little socks off!

If you enjoy any of these mixes, please consider donating to Ruforia. I make these mixes for the love of the music, and they are and always will be completely free to you, but much as I wish it would, love for music doesn't pay for it (or for food, rent, or bandwidth for that matter, although I love those things a lot less), and donations are the only way I can recoup some of the money I spend on bandwidth for the Ruforia podcast. If you'd like to donate to Ruforia, you can do so securely via PayPal at http://ruforia.googlepages.com/donate.html . As Always, a huge thankyou to everyone that's donated to Ruforia already, you have no idea how much each penny really does help the cause!

Get ready for the Ruforathon!

Enjoy :)
Ibiza Love,
Rufusx

<description>Ruforia is going international! From December I'll be playing in Amsterdam as a resident for "Club Lovely", a new night being run at the HappyDayzz club in Amsterdam, and it's all thanks to this mix CD! If you fancy dropping in and saying hi, my first gig will be there on Dec 28th. As soon as I find out more information, I'll put it up on the Ruforia forum at http://groups.google.com/group/ruforia - where, incidentally, you can keep abreast off all things Ruforia related (and other, non-Ruforia related things).

This mix is a little darker than my usual Ruforia stuff, but it still hits all the right spots, don't worry about that :)

Enjoy :)

<description>What? More than one Ruforia mix in a year?! That's crazy talk right there. I better cut back before I start scaring people. The last mix I did (Chemically Unbalanced), I tried to restrain from allowing too much emotion into the mix, as at the time, they were all over the place. Because there was no clear story behind the mix, it ended up coming out a bit all over the place, which ironically was possibly more telling of what I was going through at the time (or perhaps what I was trying to hide) than if I'd have just blogged my life into music like I normally do.

This mix goes in the opposite direction - it's unashamedly a real catharsis mix for me, with a real message behind each and every song, and as such I think this one comes off as being quite introspective and yet imploring at the same time. It's a story of distances too wide for a relationship to survive, of stubbornness, of choices that logically are easy decisions, yet your heart agonizes for weeks on end over, and an unhealthy love for house music. Now that I've typed that out, it sounds like this story sounds like it should be an opera rather than a house mix, but the unique thing about house music is that it encompasses the whole spectrum of emotions, giving you the primary colours you need to paint anything you want just by putting tracks in the right order.

I'm happy to report that those Ruforia piano's are on their way back in this mix! Some really beautiful tunage here (as well as the usual selection of dance-your-ass-off tracks), along with a nice smattering of nostalgic old-skool tracks (Everything But the Girl - Missing, Fragma - Toca Me, Baby D - Let Me Be Your Fantasy), some barely-been-released gems (Check out Hagenaar &amp; Albrecht - What Would We Do, I love it :), and some Canadian evil pixie masterminds (I'll leave you to work that one out). Towards the end, the mix even goes a little progressive, which is a first for me, at least on a Ruforia mix. I'd even go so far as to say that "Revelations" (the last track) would be classed as Trance, and much as I detest trance in general, a great track is a great track.

There was some great feedback after I uploaded the last mix in much higher quality than I normally do, so I'm going to stick with that from now on. Ok, it takes a little longer to download, but I think it's worth it :) Remember if you enjoy listening to Ruforia, please consider making a donation - Anything you can spare really does help towards bandwidth and music costs, and helps keep Ruforia alive (I'd much rather keep it in it's current form of pure unadalterated music than going the way of most podcasts and getting sponsorship/advertising). A big thanks once again to everyone that donated to Ruforia after the last mix, it really does mean a lot to me :) You can donate securely via PayPal at http://ruforia.googlepages.com/donate.htm . If you can't spare anything, I understand, but how about writing a review on iTunes? Nice words cost nothing, and I'll send some good Karma your way all the same, deal?

Enjoy :)
Ibiza Love,
Rufusx

More than one Ruforia mix in a year?! That's crazy talk right there. I better cut back before I start scaring people. The last mix I did (Chemically Unbalanced), I tried to restrain from allowing too much emotion into the mix, as at the time, they were all over the place. Because there was no clear story behind the mix, it ended up coming out a bit all over the place, which ironically was possibly more telling of what I was going through at the time (or perhaps what I was trying to hide) than if I'd have just blogged my life into music like I normally do. </p>

<p>This mix goes in the opposite direction - it's unashamedly a real catharsis mix for me, with a real message behind each and every song, and as such I think this one comes off as being quite introspective and yet imploring at the same time. </p>

<p>I'm happy to report that those Ruforia piano's are on their way back in this mix! </p>

<p>There was some great feedback after I uploaded the last mix in much higher quality than I normally do, so I'm going to stick with that from now on. A big thanks once again to everyone that donated to Ruforia after the last mix, it really does mean a lot to me :) You can donate securely via PayPal <a href="http://ruforia.googlepages.com/donate.htm">here</a>. If you can't spare anything, I understand, but how about writing a review on iTunes? Nice words cost nothing, and I'll send some good Karma your way all the same, deal? </p>

<p>Enjoy :)<br/>

<description>It's amazing how different Summer Ibiza is to Winter Ibiza... I love Winter Ibiza just as much as Summer Ibiza - the parties are all there, you just have to know where to go :) Certain parts of the island become like ghost towns, as if the whole place is on one massive comedown after a season of getting well and truly twisted. The music changes along with the island, the commercial sheen suddenly disappears from the music, and you're left with the pure distilled Balearic soul. That's the spirit I've tried to get into this mix, taking some of my favorite tracks from this winter and putting them into my Ruforia melting pot of funk.

Unfortunately, Moby Dicks will not be opening this season, alas, after 25 years of being almost an institution to some people, it closed its doors for the last time at the end of last season, which means I'm off in search of new DJ ground. For the moment, I'm playing every Friday night in Coulture Cafe in Figuretas, so if you're in the area, drop in :) I'm also going to see if I can get Ruforia started at a new club, Blu (also in Figuretas), so hopefully I can get something organized before the season starts :) All is not lost though, as Jimmy will be opening a new bar just a few doors down from Moby's, so we'll keep the spirit alive there instead :) I'm planning a Moby Dick's Classic Commemmorative Ruforia mix, so everyone who's been in Moby's and been up to no good has something to remember it by.

I'm sorry for the age it's taken me to get another mix together, and I'd like to give a big thanks to all the Ruforia supporters who've kept the emails and donations coming, if you ever need a place to crash here on the island, you know it's the least I can do :) If you do listen to Ruforia regularly, please consider making a donation to help keep it going - with so many people downloading it does cost me a fair bit in bandwidth charges, which is why I can't put mixes out too regularly at the moment. Donations go a small way to covering those costs so anything you can afford to spare is very much appreciated. You can donate securely via paypal at http://ruforia.googlepages.com/donate.htm. Thank you :)

I've uploaded this mix at double the usual quality (256Kb/s Mp3 instead of 128Kb/s) to see what the response is. It makes the file size bigger, but I think the extra definition in the sound is worth it... tell me what you think! rufuswhite@gmail.com

With that, BRING ON THE SEASON! I'll see you all at the Space opening party on June 1. I'll be wearing my best poncho.
Hope you enjoy the mix,
Ibiza Love,
Rufusx

<description>After being back in Ibiza for Just over a month now, and having no electrcity in my appartment for just under a month, I've finally joined the 21st century again! Woo WOo! What this means to you is that finally, another Ruforia mix is born!

This mix has got a bit of something for everyone - some funky feelgood, some old skool, there's even a couple of remixes of classic rock songs thrown in there for good measure! This mix has got a few whitelabels that have come into my possession since being back on the island - a couple of which even now, you won't hear anywhere else, so just remember who dealt you the dirt! At the end, you'll also find a new remix that I made for a friend of mine, Heath (one of the Bora Bora DJs), who was looking for a version of Parklife to play at the Bora Bora closing party.

I'm also glad to announce that this mix is truly piano'd up to the max, those that have been listening to the podcast for a while will know that it's one of my favorite sounds, and I guarantee that if you're a piano house fan, you won't be disappointed by this mix! Tracks of note include remixes of Liquid - Sweet Harmony, Gat Decor - Passion, Sting - Walking on the Moon, but none of them compare to the full-on piano intensity of the Bassmonkey's - The Answer, a track that I couldn't stop dancing to from the moment that I heard it - there was never any doubt that this track was going in a Ruforia mix!

I'd like to thank everyone that's donated to the Ruforia podcast so far, your donations are the only thing that keep this podcast going! Currently, the Ruforia podcast has around 15,000 regular subscribers, and making sure there is bandwidth available for that many people each downloading a 50MB+ mix is no cheap task! I do not allow advertisements or sponsors on my podcast, nor do I want to - I want to keep Ruforia as pure, unadalterated House Music. If you enjoy Ruforia and wish to keep it in its current form, please dontate whatever you can to ensure it's continued survival... If each of those 15,000 listeners donated just 2UKP, I'd have enough to just about cover the spiralling cost of my music habit! ;) If you're not able to donate anything, at least put in a good word for me as an iTunes review! Thankyou so much! You can donate securely online by going to http://ruforia.googlepages.com/donate.htm

Just so you know, aside from the track listing, there's also a commentary on the tracks in this mix on my blog, in case you want a little insider information on he tracks: http://rufuswhite.blogspot.com/2007/11/ruforia-unless-you-wear-rucksack.html

Enjoy!
Ibiza Love,
Rufusx

Woo WOo! What this means to you is that finally, another Ruforia mix is born!</p>

<p>This mix has got a bit of something for everyone - some funky feelgood, some old skool, there's even a couple of remixes of classic rock songs thrown in there for good measure! This mix has got a few whitelabels that have come into my possession since being back on the island - a couple of which even now, you won't hear anywhere else, so just remember who dealt you the dirt! At the end, you'll also find a new remix that I made for a friend of mine, Heath (one of the Bora Bora DJs), who was looking for a version of Parklife to play at the Bora Bora closing party.</p>

<p>I'm also glad to announce that this mix is truly piano'd up to the max, those that have been listening to the podcast for a while will know that it's one of my favorite sounds, and I guarantee that if you're a piano house fan, you won't be disappointed by this mix! Tracks of note include remixes of Liquid - Sweet Harmony, Gat Decor - Passion, Sting - Walking on the Moon, but none of them compare to the full-on piano intensity of the Bassmonkey's - The Answer, a track that I couldn't stop dancing to from the moment that I heard it - there was never any doubt that this track was going in a Ruforia mix!</p>

<p>I'd like to thank everyone that's donated to the Ruforia podcast so far, your donations are the only thing that keep this podcast going! You can donate <a href="http://ruforia.googlepages.com/donate.htm">here</a>.</p>

<p>Just so you know, aside from the track listing, there's also a <a href="http://rufuswhite.blogspot.com/2007/11/ruforia-unless-you-wear-rucksack.html">commentary on the tracks</a>a> in this mix on my blog, in case you want a little insider information on the tracks.</p>

<p>Enjoy!<br/>

<description>Well, it has to be said, by this point, I'm truly missing not being in Ibiza, but I'm not going to let not being there stop me from keeping the funk flowing your way! This mix has been a while in the coming, but I think the tracks more than make up for the wait :) I think there's some really good moments on this mix (even if I do say so myself), from Sunshine Paradise (which I've wanted to put on one of my mixes for a while, but never really found the right mix for it) to the sheer danciness of Switch's A bit Patchy, and the low down nastiness of Micha Moor's Space near the end, you'll recognize the sample when you hear it, I'm sure.

This mix is dedicated to Timo, for being a true leg end, and for having his birthday. It's important. Once upon a time, Timo didn't like House Music, and denounced it as being faggy and gay. After listening to a few Ruforia mixes, it was all a different story. How strange. Anyway, Happy Birthday Timo, and I hope you like the mix :)

The last track, is a new one I've been working on, I'm not sure how ready for release it is yet, but any feedback on it would be much appreciated - if anyone wants a copy of the track as it stands at the moment, it's the usual deal, make a donation to the Ruforia cause, and you'll get this and any future tracks I produce straight into your inbox. Can't say fairer than that. You can donate securely via PayPal at http://ruforia.googlepages.com/donate.htm

Don't forget about the next Ruforia night at Fudge, Leeds, UK - if you wish to be kept updated about the next Ruforia night, and any other Ruforia events we might hold around the world, send me a quick email to rufuswhite@gmail.com, and I'll add you to the mailing list. You can also check out the Ruforia blog at http://rufuswhite.blogspot.com - there's a bit of everything on there, but you might be interested in the step-by-step guide to podcasting that's on there at the moment.

One last thing: If you're listening through iTunes, please remember to rate and review the podcast - it's all I ask!

I hope you enjoy the mix, and recycle - it's not foreplay, but it is important.
Until next time,
Ibiza love,

	<description>

Sometimes something pops into your life that truly changes the way you look at things. Something so amazing that you stop and think "Yeeeahhhh" whilst nodding your head thoughtfully. Something so seminal, that the very world around you grinds to a halt and stops to look at what's going on like a bad car accident. But while we're all waiting for that to happen in our lives, I've made a big Ruforia mix, so at least the time will pass a little faster before all that happens :)

Yep, I feel like I've been a bit stingy with the old minutes on recent podcasts, so this is the one to shut your whining about - it's just over 2 hours long! Having 2 hours to play about with has given me time to double the funk, double the beats, and double the love - we've got everything in there, some Old Skool, Latin, Funky, Piano, Dirty, Cheesy, Mangled, Crunchy, Electro House. I Hope you like it!

Now I know a fair few people burn the mixes to CDs to listen to in the car and so on, and unfortunately this one's not going to fit. Fear not. I'm going to split it into 2 other seperate mixes for you and upload those tomorrow, so you can have it every way you want! I'm too nice to you ;)

I'm currently in the process of getting the Ruforia nights going in the UK again, we've been in talks with a couple of clubs in Leeds, and hopefully the first night will be late May/Early June. We're just going to run it once a month at first so we can judge demand for the night, so tell all your friends, and get their friends to come too! <p>Yep, I feel like I've been a bit stingy with the old minutes on recent podcasts, so this is the one to shut your whining about - it's just over 2 hours long! Having 2 hours to play about with has given me time to double the funk, double the beats, and double the love - we've got everything in there, some Old Skool, Latin, Funky, Piano, Dirty, Cheesy, Mangled, Crunchy, Electro House. I Hope you like it!</p>

<p>Now I know a fair few people burn the mixes to CDs to listen to in the car and so on, and unfortunately this one's not going to fit. Fear not. I'm going to split it into 2 other seperate mixes for you and upload those tomorrow, so you can have it every way you want! I'm too nice to you ;)</p>

Well, I made it out out of the 'States alive, with only a minor criminal record, and I'm now back in Sunny blighty wondering what to do with myself. After a great night out at Cream I found myself with a flyer for the Babycream DJ competition. What the hell, I thought, I'd only kick myself if I didn't enter. So here it is, my entry to the Babycream DJ competition. I'm putting this on the podcast as a 'bonus mix', because I've used a couple of the acapellas in previous podcast mixes, and I don't want people to think I'm repetitive or anything. House DJs are never repetitive. Never. We're never repetitive.

So hey, cross your fingers that I get through to the heats :)

I'll get another mix up this week if I can, now that things are a little more settled here in the UK.

As usual, if you've got any comments or suggestions, the address you need to pigeon me on is rufuswhite@gmail.com - don't hold back, I love hearing from people who've been enjoying the podcast, it really does make me remember why it is I do this :)

Other ways to support your friendly local Ruforia podcast:

o Go to http://ruforia.googlepages.com/ and press the 'digg this!' button - help us reach more people with the ruforia message by getting us up the Digg charts!
o Tell your friends! Tell the postman! Tell that wierdo on the corner who thinks the internet is for catching foreign fish.
o Write a nice review on iTunes. I'd do it myself, but I lack the clinical wierdness to review my own mixing.
o Make a donation! I'm currently surviving off a diet of pot noodles so that I can buy new music. Each podcast mix takes 3-5 days from concept through track selection to mixing and mastering. I'm not asking for your soul, just a couple of quid if you can spare it. Donations help pay for music, bandwidth for the podcast, and food, in that order. You can donate via PayPal at http://ruforia.googlepages.com/donate.htm I'm still sending preview copies of my new remix "Rescue Me" to any people that donate, there's still another 2 months before I release this onto the website for everyone to download!

Enjoy!
Ibiza Love,
Rufusx

Well, as the drunken teenager of time hits the bump of the present and flies head first over the handlebars of fate, my time here in the States is fast drawing to an end. I've learnt so much and had such a great time while I've been out here, but at the same time, I can't wait to get home. This is a mix to everyone I've met while out here in the States. I'd like to thank everyone I've met of course, but there's too many to list here, but in particular, Ben, Tony, Abe, Chris, Steve, Maureen, and last but definitely not least, Marisa :) This is going to be the last chance I get to make a mix while I'm still out here, so this is a farewell to the States :(

My laptop is nearly ready to be sent back to me, between the insurance and people's donations, I eventually managed to collect enough to be able to get it fixed. In the meantime, Steve has kindly let me borrow his laptop once again to get another mix out there and finished before I head back to Sunny England before heading out to Ibiza for the Summer. I'd like to thank everyone that donated to the Ruforia Fund - you made a big difference guys :) I'm going to keep the Fund open in case anyone still wishes to donate - I've put a lot of time and money into the Ruforia podcast and never want to charge for it, but if you've enjoyed it, please consider making a donation at http://ruforia.googlepages.com/donate.htm Thanks again guys.

This mix is a little more crunchy than most of my others, but I've tried to keep that general Ruforia feeling there, I hope you like it... Don't worry this is not a permanent direction I'm going in, normal service will be resumed with the next mix.

If you've got any comments or track suggestions on Ruforia, please, get in touch with me on rufuswhite@gmail.com - you can also of course get over to the website at http://ruforia.googlepages.com/ or add me as a friend on mySpace: http://www.myspace.com/ruforia

To keep up to date with the latest Ruforia going's on, you can also join up to the Ruforia forum at http://groups.google.com/group/ruforia - I want Ruforia to be about everyone that listens to it, not just me so I'm always open to things people suggest on the group, come on, join in!

I'll see you back on the Island!
Ibiza love,

<description>Are you stalking me? Just checking. You can never be too careful, especially at this time of year ;) Ruforia is back with another healthy dose of House. As always, there's a couple of remixes of older tracks in there, lest we forget (including a blondie remix of my own), a couple of house classics, and some nice shiny new tracks I know you'll like :)

I'd like to thank DJ Steveboy for very kindly allowing me to borrow his laptop while mine has been out of commission to make this mix - without him my California experience would have sucked. Thanks once again Steve - you can check out Steve's own podcasts at http://www.djsteveboy.com/ .

Since this is a Valentine's day mix, I'd like to dedicate it to my good-looking half, Marisa :) I love you loads monkey, and I know you hate Bob Marley, but hey, the Pound.

I'll apologize for the message at the end of this mix - I would never normally do this, but it's getting to the point where I'm desperate. Without my laptop I have no hope of earning enough money to get it fixed whilst out here in America. Anybody that can spare anything at all, please, please, please go to http://www.myspace.com/ruforia and follow the link to make a donation. Anybody who donates will recieve a copy of my new remix of Fontella Bass - Rescue Me as soon as it's finished. I need 400UKP to get my lappie fixed, and I've collected over 100 already. As soon as I have enough I'll remove the stupid message at the end of this mix, because I want to keep Ruforia all about the music - nobody wants to hear my bloody stupid voice ;) Thanks again to anyone who's donated to the fund so far... it means a hell of a lot :)

As always, I love hearing any comments you might have about the podcast in general, the address, as always: rufuswhite@gmail.com , or you can leave a comment on mySpace: http://www.myspace.com

You can also keep up with everything that's going on in the Ruforia world by subscribing to the Google Group at http://groups.google.co.uk/group/ruforia/ including upcoming events, pictures, discussions, and new remixes as I release them.

Anyway, happy Valentine's Day, I hope it's been a good one for you,

	<itunes:subtitle>Not a hint of a Christmas Carol in Sight!</itunes:subtitle>
<description>It's that time of year again! The time of year when Santa Whore's himself out to Toya"R"Us and everybody goes and buys loads of stuff in the spirit of Christmas. But the spirit of Christmas seems to have been lost along the way somewhere. Yes, this is a time of giving, but it doesn't have to nessesarily mean a new toaster/pair of socks/reineer sweater - what about peace, love and friendshop? Well, that's what Ruforia is all about, and just to get you through the Commercial nightmare that Christmas has turned into these days, I've produced the perfect antidote for you - the Slightly Festive mix. Nearly 80 minutes of pure uplifting funk, without a carol or hint of Noel in sight - these songs all embody a different element of the true spirit of Chirstmas.

If You like the podcast, don't forget to check out the Ruforia website, now relocated to http://ruforia.googlepages.com/ , where you'll find my blog, exclusive Ruforia Remixes, and the Ruforia forum, where you can discuss anything to do with the Ruforia mixes and Ibiza. The time of year when Santa Whores himself out to Toys"R"Us and everybody goes and buys loads of stuff in the spirit of Christmas. Nearly 80 minutes of pure uplifting funk, without a carol or hint of Noel in sight - these songs all embody a different element of the true spirit of Chirstmas.</p>

<description>It's thanksgiving! A holiday I don't really know a lot about, but it's a big deal out here. Big deal or not, it does mean one thing, we have an excuse to party (like we really needed one)! This mix finally returns to the Ruforia tried and tested form: start off funky, throw in some bongos and pianos and add a shed-load of darkness and phatness towards the end :) In this mix I've picked out a few really good remixes of older tracks that have been floating around this year, and have done more than their fair share of rocking at Ruforia parties both in Ibiza and here in California.

Don't forget that you can keep up to date with the latest Ruforia news in a number of ways:

The Ruforia website is now fully working again at the new address http://ruforia.googlepages.com and contains loads of extra Ruforia info, as well as exclusive Ruforia remixes you won't finnd anywhere else to download.

We also now have mySpace at http://www.myspace.com/ruforia - add us to your friend list, and help us spread the Ruforia word! Also contains videos from Ibiza.

To automatically recieve emails with the latest Ruforia news, or to discuss anything to do with Ruforia and parties in Ibiza, you can subscribe to the Ruforia Google group for free at http://groups-beta.google.com/group/ruforia

<description>You thought Your life had no meaning any more, You thought it had disappeared, it's once happy listeners now doomed to a life of emptiness and despair for the rest of their days. You thought it was gone forever... but then... it came BACK!

Just in case you still can't believe it, yes, the Ruforia podcast is back, and this time we're back for good! After a lot of financial problems involving our host (they did not make it clear how much they would be charging for bandwidth), we're now set up to give House music back to the world!

In case you've been stuck in a house music cave for the entire summer, you may have noticed that there's been a big electro flavour on everything. Whilst not totally in keeping with the normal Ruforia vibe, some of it's been something a bit different. This mix brings together some of my favorite tunes from this Summer, and while some of you may be wondering what's happened to the funky stuff... don't worry, I have a mix already prepared for next week which is pure distilled funk from start to finish, and includes one of my own produced tracks from this summer - a remix of The Clash - Rock the Cashbah.

I'm now in the States for the Winter, and we're organizing Ruforia events every week out here, bringing House music Home :) - check out http://ruforia.googlepages.com for news on current events and exclusive Ruforia mixes and other content!

	<itunes:subtitle>Well spank me with a kinky teatowel, it's another 80 minute monster!</itunes:subtitle>
<description>It's back, it's big, and it's beefy. BEEFCAAAAKE! Yep, sorry for the delay on this one folks, I've been pretty wrapped up with a couple of tracks I'm trying to get ready before the season starts out here. The whole process is kinda hampered by the fact that I know what I want it to sound like, I just don't know how to do it lol :) Anyway, to make up for the wait, I've picked some of my finest tunes for this mix, ranging from the "stick your hands in the air like you just don't care" uplifting stuff, through those Ruforic pianos and bongos we've all come to know and love ("Sweet Child of Mine" with bongos? You know it makes sense :P ) and on to some crunchy tunes later on.

I'd like to thank everyone that's written in with song suggestions and support for the podcast so far, I'm still finding it hard to believe that something I set up so that family and friends in the UK could keep up with the music in Ibiza has grown to be so popular! Keep the emails coming - people that have suggested songs - don't worry, I'm going to make a mix of just song requests, so hold on for that! Also a big thanks to everyone who's written a review so far, it's great to know that there's people out there still as passionate about House music as I am :) As I write this, the podcast is currently at number 20 in the iTunes podcast music charts, which is amazing! I know it's a long shot, but let's see if we can't knock Mr. Tong off the top spot, just so I can go "nurrr Nurrr" next time I see him at Pacha lol!
Until next time!

<description>It's January. It's cold, and it's wet. You've done yourself a mischief over Christmas in an unfortunate accident involving a lot of drink and a convection oven, that even you are sketchy on the exact course of events involved, but needless to say, it's left your dancing skills slightly impaired, and your moonwalk looks more like a snail on acid with an urgent toilet problem. Worry not, Ruforia has all the answers. Step in the Ruforia detox diet! These are not the dance-your-ass off tunes that you'd normally hear on this hallowed podcast, simply the most gorgeous beats I could get my greasy little hands on. Sit back, relax, and we'll get you back up to speed the Ruforia way. You don't need fancy diets that cut out everything your body needs to be healthy (Ie. the 3 C's: Chocolate, Coca-Cola, and Caramel), you just need to de-stress after having to put up with Great-Aunt Mildred for more than 3 minutes.

Because of the beauty of these tracks, I've tried to restrain myself and keep my mixing to a minimum this time. Some things are just perfect the way they are.

World Love, Rufx Tracklisting: 1. Fatboy Slim - North West Three 2. Treena Rose - Tell Me All About It (Main Vocal Mix) 3. B-Crew Feat. Barbara Tucker - Set Me Free (Ray Paxton &amp; Grooveprofessor Soulful Vocal Mix) 4. Peyton - I'll Rise (Eric's Beach Mix) 5. A Man Called Adam - Love Forgotten (Rey Roc Latino Soul Mix) 6. Kujay Dada - Let the Music Play (Lovegrooves Mix) 7. Cassius - The Sound Of Violence (Cosmo Vitelli Mix) 8. Mencha - Play Me With Your Sound (Sueno Soul Mix) 9. Royksopp - Remind Me (Tom Middleton Cosmos Mix) 10. Deep Dish Feat. Anousheh Khalili - Say Hello (Original Mix) 11. Kaskade - Everything (Kaskade's Big Room Mix) 12. Rachel Starr - Till There Was You (John Creamer &amp; Stephanie K Club Mix) 13. C-Mos - 2 Million Ways 14. Moby - Raining Again (Steve Angello's Vocal Mix) 15. Kings of Tomorrow Feat. Julie McKnight - Finally (Danny Tenaglia's Return to Paradise Mix) 16. Polyphonics Feat. <itunes:subtitle>The new years bumper bonanza mix!</itunes:subtitle>
<description>Happy New Year! What better way to shake off that alchohol poisoning than by jiggling away to some of the funkiest tunes I've been able to lay my hands on (and coming from me that's saying a lot!). All the main elements are there for a great Ruforia mix: Not only is there a healthy dose of pianos and bongos in this mix, but I've managed to slip in a gospel choir as well! Just when you thought "Just Can't Get Enough" couldn't get any better (You should hear it live, Abigail Bailey truly has a set of pipes on her for such a small lass. Abigail, if I wasn't already betrothed to MDMA girl, I'd do rude things to you. Sod it, call me and we'll work something out), I came across the Freemasons' Mix only a couple of days ago... those pianos... mmmm... Anyway, I could rant all day about how I'm ashamed that I actually like the sunset strippers mix of Bitch, or how amazing "Sound of the Drum" is, but you can listen and judge for yourself! Enjoy!

If you like this mix and you end up subscribing to the podcast, share the love, tell other people, or give me a review on iTunes. Who's going to be first? I'd love to hear what people are thinking about these mixes, all I have at the moment is a number of how many downloads the podcast has had :( You can also email me at rufus@ruforia.org . I love hearing constructive critisism as well. Think my mixing sucks ass, or a tune doesn't fit? Tell me! Have a song in mind you'd like to hear on a future mix, or you played one of my mixes at a party? Hey, you know the address. I've been hearing that these mixes have been played at house parties as far as Australia and California!

Unlike most of the other House mixes out there I don't feel the need to rabbit on over the top of my music. When you download these mixes, all you get is pure, unadalterated music :P Ruforia is, and always has been about the love, the music, and the mix. If you ever hear a mix filled with shameless plugs and me talking, you have my personal permission to bitchslap me down. This mix will *just* fit on an 80min CD for those of you that like to listen in the car. I'm too good to you ;)

I'm thinking about putting a couple of videos on the podcast of what's been going on in Ibiza, the solar eclipse on Oct 4th 2005, that kind of thing. If anybody wants to see this stuff, send me an email.

Until then, world love from Ibiza for 2006,
Rufx
