I came across this video and I absolutely loved. She's such a lyrically talented artist and a beautiful Sierra Leonean woman.

Medley: Diamonds from Sierra Leone (by Kanye West)

P.S.: I don't know the name of the artist, but I am still looking.

#182: Happy Hair (3)

2012-04-23T01:15:00.000-04:00

I had a performance this weekend, and I wanted to share my look with you all. I had fun with the look, especially the beautiful big flower. Also, I've got the "face like cake" look of course, my usual dance performance routine. A friend of mine did my makeup, and I loved it. She was so cute because when she started, she let me know that I was the first person of darker complexion she's ever done. So my advice to her was just give me bright and fun colors and enjoy the process. It turned out great in my opinion, everything popped out accordingly. Of course, it's not a look I'll rock in my everyday life (due to my low tolerance for makeup) but I like having dramatic looks for my performances.

My friend lend me the flower

#179: Happy Hair (2)

2012-04-20T23:54:00.002-04:00

Hello everyone,

I'm back again with more hair pictures. As usual, I'm uploading them because I've once again ran out of picture space on my phone; picture taking of me and other things are my mini-obsessions, I'm unapologetic about it. Yes, I could delete them and move on, but I've decided to upload these pictures for memories and to see my hair journey in images. Also, I've been having some difficulties finding a variety of hairstyles for short natural hair online; I feel that if there are others out there feeling the same way, they could copy some of these styles, if they fancy them. Uploading these images is basically going to help me and others, hopefully. Enjoy. Let me know if you have any questions.

P.S.: I've been in love with my natural hair so much lately, and I love it!

Twists-out

Shampoo applied before washing, I took this picture to show the difference water makes in hair; notice the shrinkage/shortness with the wet hair.

Right side (minor water applied)

Shampoo fully applied

Bantu knots (with braids)

Wearing autism awareness necklace, imprint say "Embrace the Amazing." If you didn't know, April is Autism Awareness Month; autism awareness is one of my platforms in life, I'm very passionate about it.

2012-04-07T16:27:00.009-04:00

So, I realized today that my phone has reached its maximum storage for pictures. Therefore, I have to delete the hundreds of pictures I have saved on it. This is a very tough decision for me. So one way I've chosen to preserve the pictures is by uploading pictures of the hairstyle I've had in 2012 so far, and delete them off my phone. All these hairstyles (in chronological order) were done by me! Enjoy!

Twists, hair was initially semi-straightened with hot comb

Twists (front and back) and cornrows (middle); hair was initially semi-straightened with hot comb
