When cops in Illinois started inspecting Michael Allison’s vehicles parked on his mom’s property, he turned on his camera while he went to see what the hubbub was about.

When cops in Illinois started inspecting Michael Allison’s vehicles parked on his mom’s property, he turned on his camera while he went to see what the hubbub was about. That didn’t put that happy of a face on the police officer, and now Allison is facing 75 years in prison for hitting “record.”
Authorities have charged Allison, 42, with five counts of eavesdropping, each with a maximum of 15 years in prison. He is looking at spending the rest of his life behind bars because the state is applying an archaic law to modern technology to keep citizens from snooping around cops.
Only days after Allison was charged, the US 1st Circuit Court of Appeals stated that recording police in public was guaranteed through the First Amendment. Cops in Illinois, however, aren’t agreeing.
“Just because they can get a jury to convict somebody doesn’t mean that the statute was applicable,” said radio host Alex Jones to RT. He says that calling Allison’s actions illegal is a “giant hoax” and those authorities pegging the case as a wiretapping issue has it all wrong. Jones said that being in public removes all perception of privacy, and for that very reason cops can have cameras in their own squad cars.
Jones added to RT that it is the “scariest thing I’ve seen in a long time that the police would knowingly try to put this guy in prison for life for simply videotaping” them in public.
Allison has so far refused a plea deal and is seeking counsel from the American Civil Liberties Union. “If we don’t fight for our freedoms here at home we’re all going to lose them,” he said to Gather.com.
Should he be convicted of his crimes, Allison will be serving the same punishment as murderers and rapists.

The victim of this brutal assault, Mitchell Crooks

Earlier this month, a very similar event occurred, albeit a much less brutal one in which an American citizen was illegally arrested for taking advantage of their legal right to film a public officer on a public street from their own property. Before we get in to this most recent event, I must admit (as the victim himself does) that he should not have said “nope” when the officer asked, “Do you live here?”. It seems as though the officer used that as justification for the attack on the victim, Mitchell Crooks.
In the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the actual video of the event has been posted along with a rough transcript which I will replicate here:
The words are friendly enough, but the tone is tense:
“Can I help you, sir?” Colling asks from his patrol car after parking it in front of Crooks’ driveway and shining the spotlight on Crooks.
“Nope. Just observing,” Crooks responds, fixing his camera on the officer.
Crooks had for an hour been recording the scene across the street from his home in the 1700 block of Commanche Circle, near East Desert Inn Road and South Maryland Parkway, where officers had several young burglary suspects handcuffed and sitting on the curb.
As Las Vegas crimes go, the activity was fairly boring. But Crooks wanted to try out his new camera, and he figured his neighbors would like to see the suspects’ faces.
When Colling loaded suspects into the back of his car and drove in a circle through the cul-de-sac, Crooks said he thought police were leaving. Then the officer stopped his car.
“Do you live here?” Colling asks.
“Nope,” Crooks says.
Colling steps out of his patrol car.
Crooks said he now regrets not telling the officer that he was in fact standing in his own driveway. His realizes his response seemed cheeky, but he said the officer made him nervous.
Colling walks toward Crooks, his left hand raised.
“Turn that off for me,” Colling orders.
“Why do I have to turn it off?” Crooks responds. “I’m perfectly within my legal rights to be able to do this.”
The officer repeats the command several times; each time Crooks reiterates his right to film.
“You don’t live here,” Colling says, now close to Crooks.
“I do live here!”
“You don’t live here, dude.”
“I just said I live here!”
As Crooks backs away, Colling grabs him by the shoulder and throws him down. On the ground, Crooks grabs the camera and turns it toward his face.
Colling’s leg then enters the video frame. Crooks says he believes that was the kick that broke his nose.
The video doesn’t show it, but it the camera records Crook screaming. He said that’s when Colling was punching his face.
“Shut up!” Colling yells. “Stop resisting!”
It is pretty obvious that this was nothing short of excessive force. Crooks was on the ground and handcuffed, thus effectively eliminating any potential threat Crooks might have presented. In addition to that fact, Crooks never goaded, insulted or threatened the officer in any way. There is absolutely no justification for the treatment this innocent man received. This shows a disturbing trend sweeping through the United States law enforcement community: the fallacious notion held by police officers that we (as American citizens) do not have a right to film public servants on public property, even though we pay their wages. This is turning down an ugly, dark road into a complete police state in which people cannot even film public officers performing their public duties in public. Does it get any more ludicrous than that?
To most Americans watching this film, Crooks might not even seem like he was getting abused because we have been so desensitized to violence, especially at the hands of so-called “peace” officers. The most disturbing part of the entire ordeal is that Crooks clearly requests medical assistance due to the barbarous beating handed to him by Derek Colling, the police officer. When he requests to be medically treated the following ensues,
Crooks asks for paramedics. Colling tells him to shut up and follow orders.
“If you fight again, dude… Hey, if you (expletive) fight again, dude, you’re in a world of hurt. You hear me?
“You’re not in charge here, buddy. You hear me?”
Colling mocks Crooks’ labored breathing.
“Oh yeah, buddy. Hey, when you don’t do what I ask you to do, then you’re in a world of hurt. Then you’re in a world of hurt. Aren’t ya? Huh?”
Crooks was later diagnosed with a deviated septum and a chest wall injury. Crooks believes his ribs were broken, but never got X-rays that could prove it.

Sadistic control freak sociopath responsible for beating an innocent American citizen, officer Colling

Clearly Colling is a sadistic narcissist who should be locked up himself. If we allow savage goons like Colling to walk the streets, how are we supposed to feel safe? We should respect, trust, and like our local law enforcement, not fear and despise them. However, it makes it a little hard for people to trust law enforcement officers when they commit brutal acts of violence and seem to enjoy it. When Colling said “Aren’t ya? Huh?” I lost it. The fact that this clearly demented sadist ever passed the psychological examination prior to being sworn in as a police officer tells me we need to radically restructure the way in which we evaluate potential officers. Do sadistic sociopaths get drawn into law enforcement or does law enforcement turn sane individuals into sociopathic sadists? If it is the latter, we have a lot more at issue than just the reformation of psychological testing, we must re-examine the entire paradigm in which police officers operate, the paradigm in which they are taught to assume you are guilty and a possible threat right off the bat.
This is not the first incident in which Colling has been involved, in fact he has been directly responsible for two on-duty shootings, all of which were declared justified. If this doesn’t point out the massive flaws in our legal and law enforcement systems, I do not know what does. LVJR writes,
Colling has been involved in two fatal shootings in his 5 1/2 years as a Las Vegas police officer. In 2006, he and four other officers shot Shawn Jacob Collins after the 43-year-old man pulled a gun at an east valley gas station.
In 2009, he confronted a mentally ill 15-year-old Tanner Chamberlain, who was holding a knife in front of his mother and waving it in the direction of officers. Colling shot him in the head.
Both shootings were ruled justified by Clark County coroner’s juries.
How are we allowing clearly sadistic individuals with a history of shootings and the murder of a mentally incompetent 15-year-old to not only continue to carry a loaded fire-arm in public but in addition, we give him license to use it whenever he feels necessary? If Colling is let off for this incident, just one event proving his complete sociopathic insanity, there should be a serious backlash from the people of Las Vegas. I would not feel comfortable having a psychopathic murderer loose with a badge in my neighborhood.
If police officers operated within the “innocent until proven guilty” framework, events like this would never happen. The officer would have nicely talked to Crooks, found out what he was doing and why and requested to see his ID to verify where he lived. All of this could occur in a calm situation in which no handcuffs, physical violence, or anything of the sort is necessary. Police officers seem to be blind to the fact that violence begets more violence and that the aggressive approach police officers employ on those they are sworn to serve does nothing other than make us trust them less and be more weary of them. I am happy to say that I have never had any physical altercations with a police officer in any form here in Los Angeles, although I cannot say the same about being hassled for literally no reason. I have (along with most people in Los Angeles, probably) been illegally detained by police officers with no probable cause and forced to sit on a curb on a busy street for a long period of time. Of course I have never been charged or even arrested for any crime, but that doesn’t stop LAPD from handcuffing me as tightly as possible and treating me like I’m a felon even though I have never received so much as a speeding ticket in my entire life.
This approach can be witnessed in airports now with TSA as well. The cancerous spread of this kind of behavior and the horrific actions that occur because of it is a great danger to America and our freedoms. When individuals with a badge are told to not trust anyone and to expect citizens to be dangerous and aggressive, a new paradigm is formed in which it is cops versus citizens. This is just wrong and serves to do nothing more than continue the metamorphosis of America into a total police state. We must take steps to make police officers and anyone else with a badge aware that they are here to protect us, not harass, threaten or scare us. I wish I felt comfortable walking up to any police officer and striking up a conversation, but nowadays I have a legitimate concern that the police officer could detain me claiming I was “obstructing his duties” or if I was highly unlucky, I might just get beaten to a pulp by some psychopath with a badge. These days there is no way to know.

What would you do if you found yourself in a strange bed, your workplace had changed, and you discovered your lover no longer existed? A woman named Lerina García claims this is exactly what's happened to her. Could you be next…?

Lerina discovered she was in another universe: ours

What started as an ordinary day—waking in bed one morning—evolved into a series of fearful shocks and haunting horror for a desperate woman lost in an alien world: our world.

As Lerina García left her bed she noticed the sheets and bedclothes were strange. She didn't recognize them. Still shaking off the last vestiges of sleep, however, she simply shrugged away the eerie discovery and began her morning routine.
Everything most precious to her was gone
But García would soon learn that once she'd left that slightly alien bed she entered another reality. Her life, her past—everything most precious to her—was gone.
As she went through the routines of her first day in another universe she noticed small incongruities: things out of place, items missing or items she hadn't purchased.
As she later wrote on the Internet seeking someone to offer an explanation for her nightmarish dilemma and maybe offering help: "One day I woke up and found that everything was different—nothing spectacular or having to do with time travel and such things. I simply woke up in the same year and day on which I went to bed, but many things were different. They were small things, but sufficiently important to know that there was a point at which everything was different."
Lerina's writings on the Internet relating her story are recounted in the Spanish language site revistadigitalavalon. The English translation is here.
Not everything was small. Although her car seemed the same and she still worked at the same company she had for 20 years, in the same building, she was shocked to learn her department no longer listed her. Her office was now in another department in a completely different part of the building.
As the level of strangeness escalated, she dealt with her hesitancy and surprise by telling co-workers she wasn't feeling well. She shares her first day on an alien Earth:
“Four months ago I awoke on a normal morning. I was in my rented home where I’d been living for seven years. Everything was the same, except that my bed linen was different, and I paid no attention at the time.
"So I went to work in my car, which was parked where I’d always parked, and it was the same office I’d worked in for the last 20 years. But when I got to my department, it wasn’t my department. It has names on the door and mine wasn’t on it. I thought I was on the wrong floor, but no, it was my own floor. I went over to the office’s wireless section and looked myself up. I still worked there, but in another department, reporting to a superior I didn’t even know.
"So I went to the department indicated in the directory, said I was feeling ill, and left. All the contents of my handbag were the same: my credit cards, my ID, everything, but I didn’t recall having changed departments at any time.
"I went to the doctor and underwent drug and alcohol testing…all clean.
"I returned to work the next day and was able to make my way by asking questions and saying that I wasn’t feeling well."

Lover disappears, old beau remains

“I’ve been separated from my partner of seven years for some six months. We broke up and I started a relationship with a fellow from my neighborhood. I know him perfectly well, having been with him for four months. I know his name, surname, address, where he works, his son from another relationship, and where he studies.
"Well, that fellow no longer exists. He appeared to have existed before my 'jump' but there is no trace of him now.
"I’ve hired a detective to find him and he does not exist.
"I’ve visited a psychiatrist and its all been put down to stress. He thinks they’re hallucinations, but I know this isn’t the case. My former boyfriend is with me as though nothing had happened—apparently we never broke it off [in this world]—and Agustín (my current boyfriend) appears to have never existed. He doesn’t live in the apartment he used to live at and I cannot find his son.
"I swear to you that it's true and that I’m very sane. My own family doesn’t remember things like surgery performed on my sister’s shoulder a few months ago: she says she's never been operated on. Small things to that effect."
Yes, just small things. Things like a different job, a loved one that's vanished forever, and another life in another universe that can never be returned to again.

A plaintive plea

As can be imagined, Lerina's traumatic life on this new Earth with a boyfriend she'd broken up with in the other world is causing her bouts of stress and depression. She ends her story with a plea for help:
"Please, if someone has had a similar experience, please contact me to see what may have happened.
"I cannot find any pathology that matches my experience. For five months I’ve been reading all of the theories I’ve come across and am convinced that it has been a jump between planes or something, a decision or action taken that has caused things to change.
"What upsets me is that that I’m in the same year, not in a different time, and I’m exactly the same. Let me explain: it’s as though I had lost my memory five months ago and woke up having dreamed those five months, with the exception that everyone remembers me during that time, and I’ve done things that I’m not aware of having done.
"Has anyone had a similar experience? Pranksters and people with a grasp on 'the truth' can refrain from commenting. This is very serious to me. Thank you — Luz.”
Could Lerina—a highly educated woman—be simply hallucinating everything? Perhaps she is suffering from a form of rare spatial time-related mental illness?

Perhaps not, for she's not alone in her experience.

An impossible visitor arrives in Toyko

A curious incident took place in Tokyo, Japan during the early 1990s: a man arrived on a flight with a passport from a non-existent country.
The man expressed anger and shock when Japanese customs officials detained him. Although the officials checked their records carefully, the passport had been issued by a country that did not exist. No record showed the country had ever existed.
Although passports exist issued by non-existent countries (known as camouflage passports), this passport was real and had custom officials' stamps on various pages including stamps by Japanese customs officials from previous visits.
The man was well-traveled, caucasian, said the country was in Europe and had existed for almost 1,000 years. He carried legal currency from several European countries, an international drivers license and spoke several languages.
Finally, indignant, he demanded a meeting with higher government authorities. He was convinced some massive practical joke was being played on him.
After being detained for almost 14 hours in a small security room at the airport terminal, some government officials took pity on him and transported him to a hotel. They ordered the mystery visitor to wait there until they decided what to do about the matter. From the reports, the Japanese were just as confused and flustered as the mysterious man without a country.
Although two immigration officials were posted with instructions not to permit the man to leave his room, the next morning the guards discovered he was gone. The only exit was the door they watched and the only window had no outside ledge and was 15 stories above a busy downtown street.
The authorities launched an intensive manhunt throughout Tokyo for the mysterious traveler, but finally gave up the hunt.
The man was never seen again.

The professor's drive into oblivion

Inexplicata relates a story that is like Lerina's, except from the opposite point of view.
The original account was written by journalist Segundo Peña and published in one of Venezuela’s biggest newspapers, El Tiempo.
Peña relates a strange tale that smacks heavily of a multiverse shift. The incident occurred on the campus of ULA (the University of the Andes) and involved a well-known faculty member.
This is what happened in full daylight, according to dozens of witnesses: the professor left one of the university's buildings, crossed a parking lot to his parked car, and entered it. Many saw him as he walked to his car, some even called out to him and waved.
The professor opened his car door, climbed in, sat down, and closed the door. The car sat there unmoving. Eventually, a few curious students went to the car and found it empty.
The professor had vanished, presumably for good, as the incident occurred more than 40 years ago.
Can such things be explained?
There is no orthodox scientific explanation for any of the incidents described, unless one looks at the leading edge of scientific speculation.
Exploring that dimly lit boundary between knowledge and myth—between the known and the unknown—the answer may be found.
People who appear and disappear may not be snatched up by rogue ripples of time, but by anomalies in the fabric of the shifting, living multiverse.
Some quantum physicists theorize that existence is populated by infinite universes infinitely created. Each universe is like an infinite bubble birthing new universes—new limitless bubbles. Time does not exist. Instead everything is an eternity of now.
In the world of the quanta—which encompases all that is—the multiverses are vibrating at different rates and some parallel worlds literally overlap ours.
Physicists also have had glimpses into these other realties during experiments where sub-atomic particles have winked out of existence and then reappeared. Whether they're jumping dimensions, or actually traveling between multiverses, no one knows.
Finally, quantum theory and string theory recognize a symbiotic relationship between cognitive awareness and the universe. In essence, a universe cannot really exist unless a mind perceives it. The mind influences the quanta and the quanta influences (perhaps even programs) the mind. It's a two way street.
So now what would happen if that quantum link between the quantum universe and the quantum mind were broken—even briefly?
Would the person become like a ship that lost its anchor—in this case an anchor to the universe? Could a person slip from this reality into one right "next door" to our universe? If so, would there be an exchange trading one version of a person for another, sort of a universal-multiverse swap? Or, as in the case of the hapless lost professor, would a person simply vanish with no counterweight replacing him or her from an adjoining reality?
Time would be unaffected, and the two parallel universes would be so symmetrical that only minor things may be different.
Yes, minor things like a lover that no longer exists or a sister who never had surgery…

No matter what you do to voice your displeasure with what our so-called representatives in government are doing, it's only as effective as the consequences our representatives suffer for not doing what we've hired them to do . . . represent US. For example, you can write them, fax them, camp outside their offices but the sad fact is your representatives are only wondering one thing . . . "OR WHAT? What are you going to do to me if I don't do what you want?"

The reason we are never taken seriously, the reason we are always ignored is simply because there are no real consequences for ignoring us. There is no criminal penalty for violating their oath of office. So we need to remind everyone exactly what the consequence are for violating our trust and the oath of office. WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE "REALLY" GOING TO DO. WE HAVE TO TELL EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM WE ARE GOING TO VOTE YOU OUT OF OFFICE YOU BASTARD! That's OR WHAT! And we actually have to follow through with it!

So you see, the real problem isn't the Congress. The real problem is US. We never hold any of them accountable. We just keep allowing them to be reelected over and over and over. We NEVER FOLLOW THROUGH WITH OUR THREAT.

The powers-that-be know full well that the likelihood of us forming the united front required to vote them out of office is about as likely as the Central Bankers forgiving all the debt they've enslaved humanity under and declaring a Jubilee. The powers-that-be are totally convinced they have socially conditioned us to such a degree that they believe we are literally incapable uniting over anything. And even if we start to, they know they can fractionalize us and destroy our focus with a snap of their fingers by throwing out a few political footballs. We fall for their tricks every single time.

Until we prove them wrong, until we prove we can stop bickering and fighting over whatever they determine will best stir the pot, and wake up to the false left/right paradigm nonsense, they will be absolutely right. They have no reason to fear us. Until we REALLY vote the bastards out of office EN MASS, we will never be taken seriously, we will never be paid attention to and our yelling and complaining is backed by nothing more than a hollow, pathetic threat to hold them accountable at the polls.

SO, we're proposing a new tactic be added to the mix. It's time for the American people to make it very clear what's in store for our current representatives for a change with Operation Pink Slip. Everyone who loves this country needs to download this Pink Slip, print out a bunch of them on bright pink paper, give them to all your friends and family and everyone must mail them into their Representatives and Senators. We need to flood Congress with PINK SLIPS. We need to bury them in them!

Our so-called representatives are masters at keeping us freaking out all the time. Don't you think it's time to put the pressure on them, to freak THEM out for a change? Wouldn't it be great to make them feel insecure from now through November, knowing we mean business this time and the jig is up!?

You don't even need to include your return address if you don't want to. You can send them totally anonymously. The main idea is to flood Congress with them.

And we ask that you send copies to all your local media outlets too, to let them know this is happening, so they can't ignore it like they ignore everything else.

We need to do more than just yell at Congress. We need to let them know they WILL be held accountable and how we are going to do it. We need to let them know we are going to FIRE THEM. BOOT THEM. And let them know their demise is imminent before the fact. We need to hit back and hit back hard in the only way open to us. We need to vote all these traitorous criminals out of office in November and we need to let them know loud and clear that this is exactly what we are going to do.

THEN WE ACTUALLY DO IT IN THE UPCOMING ELECTION! Until we actually follow through with the threat, on a scale that will actually be felt, we will NEVER be taken seriously and we will never have any say over anything of consequence. If we do this just once, the whole political landscape will change for the better. The balance of power will shift back to our side of the equation for a change.

NOTE: Some people have mentioned that the Capital no longer opens mail because of the anthrax issue. I called and they do in fact open mail. They simply screen "ALL" mail now before it gets to Congress, so it takes twice as long to get to them.

LaGrange, MO — A LaGrange man who drew national attention after video showing police killing one of his dogs surfaced on the Internet vowed Thursday to seek changes in the law.

Judge Fred Westhoff fined Marcus Mays $50 for failure to register a dog with the city and $100 for failure to have a leash or muzzle on a vicious animal. Mays also must pay court costs of $29.

“We can’t have dogs taking after young children or even adults,” Westhoff said. “It’s just not safe.”

Mays requested the bench trial and represented himself. Afterward, he said he will ask the city to revise its animal ordinances.

“I think if I get enough people together and raise a big enough complaint, maybe they’ll change it,” Mays said.

City Attorney Jeff Curl said he had hoped for a stiffer fine because it would have “sent a message” to dog owners to “follow the ordinance.”

Mays described the animal as an American bulldog, but authorities termed it a pit bull.

The dog, named Cammie, was shot to death on March 31 by Officer Doug Howell.

Video from part of the incident later was posted on YouTube, but it shows fewer than 10 minutes of the 68 minutes that Howell and Officer Jason Powell were on the scene.

The video which was not shown at Thursday’s hearing, was from a police car camera. Mays said a friend of his put it on the Internet.

The officers were responding to a call from LaGrange resident Mary Coleman that the dog had acted threateningly toward her and her daughter as they walked to a school bus stop.

“It was growling at my six-year-old,” Coleman testified. “I wanted my kid to be safe and myself to be safe.”

Mays pointed out that the dog could not have been too angry because Coleman chained it at her home while Howell and Powell went to get special equipment used in handling animals.

The video shows that at one point, the dog laid down on the street and remained motionless for a time.

Howell testified that the dog growled as he tried to load it into a truck, that it later broke free from a chain tied to the vehicle and eventually charged as he tried to capture it with a six-foot catchpole.

Powell described the dog as “aggressive” and “vicious.” Both officers had electroshock weapons, but did not use them because they said the effectiveness would have lasted only five second.

Howell said that he felt the only option to protect the safety of neighbors was to shoot the dog.

Howell fired one shot to the chest, which felled the animal. On the video, the dog can then be seen wagging its tail. Howell said he fired a shot to the head “because I didn’t want the dog to suffer.”

“I didn’t feel it was right how they handled that,” Mays said.

A neighbor of Mays, Frances Hamilton, testified that the animal had previously chased her husband.

Curl pointed out that Mays had pleaded guilty to animal abuse in 2007 and had been ordered not to own pets for two years. Mays argued that the circumstances did not warrant the punishment and that he had pleaded guilty only to avoid a court fight.

Cammie was just a pup when Mays got the female 18 months ago. He said the dog had never been aggressive.

Mays said he has four other dogs – three pit bulls and a mastiff. He said he did not register Cammie because doing so “slipped my mind.” The other four are registered, he said.

Howell and Powell have not been disciplined. Police Chief Dale McNelly said his department is working with the Humane Society of Missouri on additional training in dealing with unruly dogs. The city already has budgeted money for a new animal shelter.

City code defines vicious canines as “any dog(s) that has the appearance and characteristics of being predominantly aggressive” and any “dog(s) not in law enforcement service that has bitten a human being previously or attached another human being previously, whether such occurred within or without” the LaGrange city limits.

Even if his campaign to change the law in unsuccessful, Mays said the fight will be worth it.

“I don’t feel (Cammie) was vicious,” he said. “I feel I stood up for her.”

This was on my email from Newsmax as "Christian Group: Ron Paul Dangerous." First of all if you read through it, nowhere will you find a Christian group. The letter is written by a group that is clearly a supporter of the status quo. Why are they terrified? Because if Ron Paul does what he says, he's going to hit them right where it hurts the most, in their pocketbooks and bank accounts. These people only care about what's in it for them. They take the oath of office all the time with their fingers crossed behind their backs, knowing their words are lies. Telling us, the citizens, us what we want, or expect, to hear, all the time knowing they're going to bleed the taxpayer and citizens for every dollar they can. Ron Paul says he's going to bring that to a screetching halt. He's suggesting that we should get rid of many of the agencies of the government. They delight in comparing Mr Paul to the somewhat addled uncle that's apparently found in some famlies. Since that may be me in my family, I see no comparison. But even if there were, so what? Even addled uncles can have good ideas, right? It's just another degredation of Mr. Paul they throw on the wall to see what sticks. He wants to cut expenses, he wants to increase jobs by bringing industry back to this country, he wants to stop this country from being the bully of the world, there are other goals but just therse are enough reasons why he should be elected President. What do the others offer? More of the same old same old, the status quo, spending money until we're broke, or should I say broker? This country is on a fast slide down the tubes, and the only one that has any realistic ways to stop before hitting bottom, is Ron Paul.

Liberty Counsel Action: Ron Paul Is Dangerous

After the most recent GOP presidential debate, reasonable people can disagree as to who came out on top. It was abundantly clear, however, who was smothered beneath the pile.
As Ron Paul waxed naive from his perch in Sioux City, Iowa, on issues ranging from foreign policy to judicial activism, one could almost hear his campaign bus tires deflate. Although some polls indicate that Mr. Paul has surged in Iowa, most national polls suggest that, beyond a relatively fixed throng of blindly devoted “Paulbots,” support for the eccentric Texas lawmaker has a concrete ceiling.
Mr. Paul did himself no favors during the debate. Afterward, former Iowa House Speaker Christopher C. Rants blogged, “Ron Paul finally lit a match after dousing himself with gasoline.”
Putting aside for a moment Mr. Paul’s leftist policies on a variety of social issues ranging from his unwavering support for newfangled “gay rights” – to include open homosexuality in the military – to advocacy for across-the-board legalization of illicit drugs, Mr. Paul demonstrated that he has a dangerous, fundamental misunderstanding of the threat posed to every American citizen by radical Islam. This alone disqualifies him for serious consideration as our future Commander in Chief.
During the debate, moderator Bret Baier asked Mr. Paul: “Many Middle East experts now say Iran may be less than one year away from getting a nuclear weapon. … Even if you had solid intelligence that Iran was in fact going to get a nuclear weapon, President Paul would remove the U.S. sanctions on Iran - including those added by the Obama administration. So, to be clear, GOP nominee Paul would be running left of President Obama on Iran?”
Mr. Paul responded: “But I’d be running with the American people because it would be a much better policy.” (The only American people running with this policy risk running the rest of us off a cliff.)
He went on to reject a U.N. agency report that indicates Iran is within months of developing nuclear weaponry, calling it “war propaganda.” He then spouted the same anti-American talking points we’ve come to expect from the hard-left “progressive” establishment, blaming America for Iran’s efforts to go nuclear.
In defense of Islamic terrorists, not unlike those responsible for Sept. 11, Mr. Paul said, “Yeah, there are some radicals, but they don’t come here to kill us because we’re free and prosperous. … They come here and want to do us harm because we’re bombing them.
“I don’t want Iran to have a nuclear weapon,” he continued, all the while demonstrating to everyone watching that a President Paul would be unwilling to lift a finger to prevent it.
His pacifist ruminations prompted fellow presidential candidate Michele Bachmann to respond: “With all due respect to Ron Paul, I think I have never heard a more dangerous answer for American security than the one that we just heard from Ron Paul. … I’ll tell you the reason why, the reason why I would say that is because we know without a shadow of a doubt that Iran will take a nuclear weapon, they will use it to wipe our ally Israel off the face of the map, and they stated they will use it against the United States of America. Look no further than the Iranian constitution, which states unequivocally that their mission is to extend jihad across the world and eventually to set up a worldwide caliphate. We would be fools to ignore their purpose and their plan.”
Mr. Paul evidently is one of those fools. Iran is today’s version of Nazi Germany, and Mr. Paul’s obtuse strategy of reckless inaction affords him the dubious title of this generation’s Neville Chamberlain. Like Chamberlain’s fruitless appeasement, Mr. Paul’s similar strategy simply feeds the insatiable beast.
Don’t get me wrong. I personally like Ron Paul. He’s that affable - if not a little “zany” - uncle who has the whole family on edge at Thanksgiving. “Oh boy; what’s Uncle Ronny gonna say next?”
Still, you wouldn’t give Uncle Ronny the carving knife for the turkey, much less the keys to the Oval Office.
Mr. Paul is many things, but conservative is not one of them. He’s a died-in-the-wool libertarian. That’s one part
conservative, two parts anarchist.
Ronald Reagan often spoke of a “three-legged stool” that undergirds true conservatism. The legs are represented by strong free-market economic principles, a strong national defense and strong social values. For the stool to remain upright, it must be supported by all three legs. If you snap off even one leg, the stool collapses under its own weight.
Mr. Paul is relatively conservative from an economic standpoint, but in true libertarian form, has snapped off the legs of national defense and social values.
The libertarian is a strange and rare little animal – a bit like the woolly flying squirrel. It spends its days erratically darting to-and-fro atop this teetering, one-legged stool in a futile effort to keep it from toppling. America witnessed Ron Paul doing this squirrelly libertarian tango Thursday night. Cute but unstable.
Ron Paul never had a chance; but now, with the possible exception of his most committed devotees, I suspect most people will finally admit it. Regardless of what happens in Iowa, the Paul engine has run out of steam. During the debate it pulled into the station and released its final wheeze right alongside the Cain Train.

Is THERE a devil? Many people talk about the devil and Satan. Others scoff and say it's just superstition and imagination.
But is there a devil? According to most Christians the Bible is supposed to each that the devil is the god of this world. Indeed it does teach that!
The Bible pictures the whole world under the sway of an invisible devil. Where did he come from? Did God create a devil to tempt us and to try to lead us astray? And then to punish us if we follow the devil?
God Is CREATOR of ALL!
So, let's look back to the very beginning. Open your Bible to Genesis 1:1. "In the
beginning God." God was before all. The next word is "created." "God created." He created the heaven and the earth.
But the very next verse says this: "The earth was without form and void." The Hebrew words for "without form and void" are tohu and bohu. Translated into English theymean chaotic, in confusion, waste, and empty. When God created the heaven and the earth, did He create this earth originally in a state of confusion? Did He create it all topsy-turvy and chaotic?
World NOT Created in Chaos. We read in I Corinthians 14:33 that God is NOT the author of confusion. God is the author of peace. God is the author of order and of law.
Notice Job 38:4-9. God says there that the angels shouted for joy when He created the
earth. It must then have been a perfect creation, not a creation that was in chaos and
confusion!
Why would He create it in disorder and then have to straighten it out? That doesn't
make sense! Dr. Bullinger, the Hebrew authority, says that the Hebrew word for
"created," used in Genesis 1:1, " implies that the creation was a perfect work." That
very word "created" implies a perfect and a beautiful order and system, not chaos or
confusion!
Then how did it become chaotic?
In Genesis 19:26, the same Hebrew word is used which is translated "was" in Gen. 1:2.
And there it is translated into the English word "became." In the first three chapters of
the Bible, and many other places where you find the word "was," in almost every case
it is denoting a condition that was different from a former condition. In other words, it
"BECAME" or "was made" that way. It had not always been that way. The Earth BECAME Chaotic
Plainly the word "was" has the meaning of "became." The Rotherham translation of
Gen. 1:2, out of the original Hebrew language, is this: "Now the earth HAD BECOME
waste and empty." It hadn't always been that way.
In Jeremiah 4:23, in Isaiah 24:10, in Isaiah 34:11, and in other places in the Bible, you
find the same words, toha and boha, meaning chaotic and in confusion. In every case
that condition is a result of sin.
No Chaos Originally notice Isaiah 45:18. "Thus saith the Eternal that created the heavens, God himself that
formed the earth and made it, He hath established it, He created it not in vain." "In vain"
is an incorrect translation. In your Bible, if you have the marginal references, you will
find in the margin the proper translation "waste."
The original Hebrew word there is TOHU. This Hebrew word is the identical word used
in Gen. 1:2, meaning confusion, or emptiness. or waste - a result of disorder, a result of
violation of law. In Isaiah 45:18 we have the plain statement that God created the earth
not "toho," that is, not in confusion, not in disorder. But in Genesis 1:2, the earth was,
or the earth BECAME - as it ought to he translated - chaotic and in confusion!
Then it became that way after it was created. Now, what could have caused that
confusion? - that disorder? What sin could have wrecked the earth and brought it into
the condition in which it was found in Gen. 1:2?
Life Before Adam?
Now, what was the sin then that caused this physical destruction to the earth? It was
not a sin caused by humanity, because there had been no man on the earth until the
sixth day of that re-creation or that re-making. So it was not a sin of man. Adam was
the first man. We find over in I Corinthians 15:45 that Adam is called the first man on
this earth. In Genesis Eve is called the mother of all living human beings. There was no
other race prior to Adam and Eve.
So the sin which brought chaos was not caused by man. And yet life must have
populated the earth because a sin had occurred on the earth that brought it into a
condition of chaos and confusion by breaking the laws of God.
What kind of life could it have been? It wasn't human life. What was it that populated
this earth prior to the second verse of Genesis, the first chapter?
In Genesis 1:28, speaking to the man whom He had created, God said this: ''Be fruitful
and multiply and replenish the earth." What does that word replenish mean? To plenish
is to populate. To replenish means to repopulate - to populate all over again. Those
very words imply that the earth had been populated before!
Immediately after the flood in Genesis 9:1, God spoke to Noah. He blessed Noah and
his sons and said unto them: "Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth."
Identically the same words that He spoke to Adam!
In Noah's case we know He meant repopulate the earth. Then didn't He mean the
same thing when He used the identical words to Adam: "Be fruitful and multiply and
replenish the earth?" Certainly here is indication that the earth had been populated,
and that it was to be populated once again. Then what kind of life had populated the
earth prior to Adam, prior to the week called "creation week"?
Next, let's turn to II Peter 2:4: ''For if God spared not the angels that sinned.'' Here is
the sin of angels mentioned. Sin of Angels!
Now read the next verse, "And spared not the old world," between Adam and Noah,
''but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood
upon the world of the ungodly." There it mentions the sins from Adam to Noah, and it
mentions the physical destruction to the earth as a result of the flood, a chaotic,
physical condition brought about on the earth by the sins of those men.
Was there a chaotic condition brought about on the earth as a result of the sins of
angles? The sin of the angels is mentioned first, and it occurred first! There was a devil
already there in existence by the time Adam was created. So the sin of the angels
happened before the creation of man.
Now read II Peter 2:6. ''Turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, [God]
condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example to those that afterward
should live ungodly."
Universal sin was in those two Canaanite cities. Physical destruction came to the entire
part of the surface of the earth which those people occupied as a result of that sin.
Then didn't such a destruction come to the earth as a result of the sins of the angels
which occurred before Adam?
Now quickly turn over to Jude. In the sixth verse, you read this: "And the angels which
kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation [they had a place where they
lived, a habitation, an estate, and they left it], God hath reserved in everlasting chains
under darkness unto the judgment of the great day." Notice! It is the sinning angels
who are reserved in those chains under darkness, restrained from light, restrained from
truth until the judgment of the great day.
Angels Possess the Earth!
How plain! They had an estate which they didn't keep. In Hebrews 2:5 we read this:
''For unto the angels hath God not put in subjection the world to come of which we
speak." In other words, The World Tomorrow, the Kingdom of God, will not be under
subjection to angels. The present one is under subjection of fallen angels. The
demons, and the devil who is their head, rule this present earth and sway its
inhabitants. The Bible everywhere indicates and affirms that very fact.
How did they obtain their dominion? How did they acquire their power? How did they
maintain their control? Where did the devil get the power to control and to lead and to
rule this world?
The devil is the leader of fallen angels, as you will find in a number of places ( John
12:31, John 14:30, John 16:11). In II Cor. 4:4 the devil is called the god of this world.
He is the king or the prince of the evil world that we live in today. Let's see something
about the origin of the devil.
Turn to Isaiah 14, beginning with verse 4, "'Thou shalt take up this proverb against the
king of Babylon, and say, 'How hath the oppressor ceased the golden city ceased!'"
Here is a king of Babylon.
This account continues to tell how he had disrupted the earth. He was an invader, a
conqueror. He was a war monger, trying to take away from others and trying to acquire
all he could. He had just the opposite philosophy from that of God. In other words, he
had the philosophy of the devil. He represented. the devil. The king of Babylon was the
devil's instrument and tool.
Now we find in verse 12 that this lesser human type lifts to the great anti-type - the
devil - whom he represented and whose tool and instrument he was. Rebellion of Lucifer.
Things are said about the great former cherub, the devil, that could not be said about a
human being. God says, "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer." Lucifer means
shining one, or shining star of the dawn. God names things or people, or beings what
they are. Lucifer was originally a shining "star." Stars represent angels (Rev. 1:20). He
was a great cherub whose duties were represented by the bright morning star. He was
a light bringer. In other words, one who had great knowledge and truth and light, and
who was to give it to those who were placed under him. He was placed in a certain rule
and authority over angels.
Continuing in Isaiah 14: "How art thou cut down to the ground which didst weaken the
nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, 'I will ascend into heaven.'" Then he must
have been BELOW heaven. He must have been ON THE EARTH.
He said, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars (that is, the
angels] of God." I want you to notice he had a throne, but he wasn't willing to be
content with his jurisdiction. He was out to rule the universe.
Now notice what else Lucifer said: "I will ascend above the heights of the CLOUDS. I
will be like the most High." "I'm going to be god myself," he said.
Lucifer Becomes the Devil.
So Lucifer became the devil. God changed his name when his character changed. He
tried to make himself God. But we find HE WAS CAST DOWN TO THIS EARTH.
Now, quickly turn over to Ezekiel 28, verse 1. "Son of man, say unto the prince of
Tyrus. . ." The prince of Tyre, or Tyrus, was a very evil man. He was an aggressor, an
invader, a conqueror. He was a tool of the devil. Now, as we come to the twelfth verse,
just as in Isaiah 14, the lesser type lifts up to the great anti-type. We find the devil
himself pictured! Now we find one that is not human at all. For a few verses, it is talking
about the devil himself, and not about a human being.
Beginning at verse 12: ''Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus."
Here is the REAL king that ruled in and through the prince of Tyrus. "And say unto him,
Thus saith the Lord God. Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in
beauty." Here was one who sealed up the sum total of perfection, of wisdom, and
beauty.
Could that be said about a man? Does God speak like that of any mortal man? Never!
He is speaking of some being far greater than man. Notice, "Thou hast been in Eden,
the garden of God." On the earth! Then he said, "The workmanship of thy tabrets and
thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast CREATED." This was not a
human being, who was born.
The prophet continues to say, "Thou art the anointed CHERUB that covereth." If you
will refer to Exodus 25, verses 16-22, you will find the type of the throne of God
described. Included in the earthly type - the tabernacle in the days of Moses - was the
mercy seat which was a picture of the very throne of God. On it two cherubim were
placed. They were made of metals, of course, but their wings stretched out and
covered the very throne of God. They symbolized the two great cherubs whose wings
cover the very throne of God.
Through Ezekiel, God says: "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth." In other
words, one of the two great cherubs ruling over millions of other angels! He was a
created being. He sealed up the sum total of perfection, of wisdom, and of beauty.
Then in verse 14, we read this: "I have set thee so," God said. God had set him in
office. "Thou wast upon the holy mountain of God,'' - Palestine or Eden! "Thou wast
perfect in thy ways from the day thou wast created. Here was a being that was created
perfect UNTIL INIQUITY WAS FOUND IN HIM.
That iniquity was described in Isaiah 14. He said, "I'm not satisfied with what I have. I'm
going to become an invader. I'm going to take God's place and be the God of the
universe." That was the devil's sin - INSUBORDINATION.
How the Earth Became Chaotic
A third of the angels united with Satan in the rebellion. That is what caused the chaos
of this earth. The sin of angels reached into the heavens and brought chaos on earth.
What the geologists and astronomers see is not an evolving universe, but the
wreckage of a titanic battle waged by spirits throughout space - a battle fought before
man's creation.
The earth was created perfect and complete. Then it BECAME chaotic as a result of
rebellion. And in six days, God re-made the earth, re-shaped, re-fashioned it, and
created human beings upon it.
He gave Adam a chance to take the place of Satan the devil. Remember, Lucifer had
been placed in rulership. God placed the great cherub, Lucifer, to carry out His
government on the earth; but Lucifer refused to carry out God's will, God's commands,
God's government. He wanted to substitute his own - So he disqualified himself.
Adam had the chance to supplant him. In the contest to see if Adam would conquer, if
he would obey God, he failed. He obeyed the devil instead, and man became the
property of the devil, and the whole human race was sold down the river to the devil
ever since.
Jesus Christ came 4000 years later and He entered the great contest - the contest of
the temptation on the Mount. He REFUSED to obey the devil. He quoted scripture
correctly. He obeyed God. Finally, He turned to the devil, and He gave Satan a
command. He said, "Get away from me," and the devil obeyed!
From that time on, the successor of Satan has been qualified to take over the rule of
the earth. But Jesus went to heaven for 1900 years. He is soon coming again, and
when He does, the devil will be DISPLACED. Christ will rule the earth; God's laws will
be restored. Order and peace will come at last!
So God did NOT create a devil. He created a cherub, Lucifer - perfect in his ways, but
with the power of free choice - and Lucifer transformed himself into a devil by rebellion
against the government of God! Today, you face the question: Will You obey the ways of Satan, or the LAWS of GOD?

All I'm going to say is that the goons and pedophiles at the TSA would have you believe that it's because of them that there's been no significant terrorism since 9/11. These liars with all of their health endangering equip. and invasive and perverted "pat-downs" haven't been responsible for the apprehension of one, yes not even one terrorist. True they've been responsible for violating many little girls and boys, grandmothers, invalids in wheelchairs, nuns and every other kind of tourist who is stupid or desperate enough to get somewhere that they make the mistake of flying. But not one terrorist.
We're in their eyes, apparently too stupid to realize that the terrorists have half a brain too, and won't fall into their "trap."

Thank you for participating in the We the People platform, we respect the right of the petitioners to be heard and value the feedback we receive from travelers who share their experiences – good or bad – with us. The men and women of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) have a challenging, but critical mission, and they take their jobs very seriously. TSA understands that the terrorist threat remains real and continues to evolve, as evidenced by the attempted terrorist attack on Christmas Day 2009 and the disrupted air cargo bomb plot last year.

Why TSA Exists.

TSA was created two months after the September 11 terrorist attacks, when Congress passed the Aviation and Transportation Security Act (ATSA) [.pdf] to keep the millions of Americans who travel each day safe and secure across numerous modes of transportation.

Over the past 10 years, TSA has strengthened security by creating successful programs and deploying technologies that were not in place prior to September 11, while also taking steps whenever possible to enhance the passenger experience. Today, 100 percent of passengers flying to, from, and within the United States are prescreened against terrorist watch lists under TSA's Secure Flight program. In addition, employees with access to airports and ports, and those who transport higher risk materials, are vetted to ensure a secure environment.

Screening for Explosives.

TSA screens 100 percent of carry-on and checked baggage for dangerous items including explosives. TSA has also deployed explosives-detection canine teams. The teams are used to detect explosives and deter terrorism in aviation, mass transit, and cargo environments.

Deploying Advanced Technology to Detect Evolving Threats.

As part of its multi-layered approach to security, TSA uses Advanced Imaging Technology and Automated Target Recognition software to detect metallic and nonmetallic threats, including weapons and explosives concealed under layers of clothing on passengers. Using Advanced Technology X-ray, Bottled Liquid Scanners and Explosives Trace Detection (ETD) Technology, TSA can more efficiently and effectively screen checked and carry-on bags for potential threats.

Covert Testing.

Covert testing provides TSA with valuable information that can be used to modify security measures, improve training and inform the development of future technology. The statistic cited in the petition was from testing performed nearly eight years ago and doesn't reflect the current security environment. Since then, TSA has implemented new security measures and deployed enhanced technology to address evolving threats to aviation.

Strengthening In-Flight Security.

Hardened cockpit doors and the Federal Air Marshal Service serve as additional layers of security against an act of terrorism.

Establishing a Professionalized Workforce.

Transportation Security Officers (TSO) working at 450 airports today are hired through a rigorous vetting process and go through extensive training that did not exist prior to September 11. Today's TSOs have an average of three and a half years of experience on the job and have a turnover rate of approximately 6 percent. This compares to an average of 3 months of experience and a turnover rate of 125 percent for screeners prior to the creation of TSA.

TSA's Next 10 Years.

TSA is working to enhance its risk-based, intelligence-driven security initiatives to strengthen security while continuing to improve the passenger experience whenever possible. Current efforts include: changing the way TSA screens passengers ages 12 and under, evaluating the expanded use of behavior detection techniques, and piloting expedited screening for known travelers. Efficiencies gained by implementing more risk-based security methods allow us to make the best possible use of the resources to secure air travel.

Additionally, new software has been deployed to further strengthen privacy protections by eliminating passenger-specific images on Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) machines. The new software has been installed on all millimeter wave AIT units currently in airports, with plans to test and deploy similar software for backscatter units in 2012.

Our Nation is safer and better prepared today because of these and other efforts of the Department of Homeland Security, TSA, and our federal, state, local and international partners. Why Do the Police Have Tanks? The Strange and Dangerous Militarization of the US Police Force

The federal government has supplied local police departments with military uniforms, weaponry, vehicles, and training.

Just after midnight on May 16, 2010, a SWAT team threw a flash-bang grenade through the window of a 25-year-old man while his 7-year-old daughter slept on the couch as her grandmother watched television. The grenade landed so close to the child that it burned her blanket. The SWAT team leader then burst into the house and fired a single shot which struck the child in the throat, killing her. The police were there to apprehend a man suspected of murdering a teenage boy days earlier. The man they were after lived in the unit above the girl's family.

The shooting death of Aiyana Mo'Nay Stanley-Jones sounds like it happened in a war zone. But the tragic SWAT team raid took place in Detroit.

Shockingly, paramilitary raids that mirror the tactics of US soldiers in combat are not uncommon in America. According to an investigation carried out by the Huffington Post's Radley Balko, "America has seen a disturbing militarization of its civilian law enforcement over the last 30 years, along with a dramatic and unsettling rise in the use of paramilitary police units for routine police work." In fact, Balko reports that "the most common use of SWAT teams today is to serve narcotics warrants, usually with forced, unannounced entry into the home."

Some 40,000 of these raids take place every year, and "are needlessly subjecting nonviolent drug offenders, bystanders and wrongly targeted civilians to the terror of having their homes invaded while they’re sleeping, usually by teams of heavily armed paramilitary units dressed not as police officers but as soldiers." And as demonstrated by the case of Aiyana Mo'nay Stanley-Jones, these raids have resulted in "dozens of needless deaths and injuries."

How did we allow our law enforcement apparatus to descend into militaristic chaos? Traditionally, the role of civilian police has been to maintain the peace and safety of the community while upholding the civil liberties of residents in their respective jurisdiction. In stark contrast, the military soldier is an agent of war, trained to kill the enemy.

Clearly, the mission of the police officer is incompatible with that of a soldier, so why is it that local police departments are looking more and more like paramilitary units in a combat zone? The line between military and civilian law enforcement has been drawn for good reason, but following the drug war and more recently, the war on terror, that line is inconspicuously eroding, a trend that appears to be worsening by the decade.

The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 is a civil war-era law that prohibits the use of the military for domestic law enforcement. For a long time, Posse Comitatus was considered the law of the land, forcing militarization advocates to come up with creative ways to get around it. In addition to assigning various law enforcement duties to the military, such as immigration control, over the years Congress has instituted policies that encourage law enforcement to emulate combat soldiers. Hence, the establishment of the SWAT team in the 1960s.

Originally called the Special Weapons Attack Team, the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) units were inspired by an incident in 1966, when an armed man climbed to the top of the 32-story clock tower at the University of Texas in Austin and fired randomly for 90 minutes, shooting 46 people and killing 15, until two police officers managed to kill him. This episode is said to have “shattered the last myth of safety Americans enjoyed [and] was the final impetus the chiefs of police needed” to form their own SWAT teams, according to an investigation by Diane Cecilia Weber. Soon after, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) formed the country's first SWAT team, which “acquired national prestige when used against the Black Panthers in 1969.”

Use of these paramilitary units gradually increased throughout the 1970s, mostly in urban settings. The introduction of paramilitary units in America laid the foundation for the erosion of the barrier between police and military, a trend which accelerated in the 1980s under President Reagan, when the drug war was used as a pretext to make exceptions to the Posse Comitatus Act.

In 1981, Congress passed the Military Cooperation with Law Enforcement Act, which amended Posse Comitatus by directing the military to give local, state and federal law enforcement access to military equipment, research and training for use in the drug war. Following the authorization of domestic police and military cooperation, the 1980s saw a series of additional congressional and presidential maneuvers that blurred the line between soldier and police officer, ultimately culminating in a memorandum of understanding in 1994 between the US Department of Justice and Department of Defense. The agreement authorized the transfer of federal military technology to local police forces, essentially flooding civilian law enforcement with surplus military gear previously reserved for use during wartime.

Weber found that "Between 1995 and 1997 the Department of Defense gave 1.2 million pieces of military hardware, including 3,800 M-16s, 2,185 M-14s, 73 grenade launchers and 112 armored personnel carriers" to law enforcement around the country. But this was only the beginning.

In 1997, Congress, not yet satisfied with the flow of military hardware to local police, passed the National Defense Authorization Security Act which created the Law Enforcement Support Program, an agency tasked with accelerating the transfer of military equipment to civilian police departments. Between January 1997 and October 1999, the new agency facilitated the distribution of "3.4 million orders of Pentagon equipment to over 11,000 domestic police agencies in all 50 states. By December 2005, that number increased to 17,000, with a purchase value of more than $727 million of equipment," says Balko. Among the hand-me-downs, Balko counts: "253 aircraft (including six- and seven-passenger airplanes, and UH-60 Blackhawk and UH-1 Huey helicopters), 7,856 M-16 rifles, 181 grenade launchers, 8,131 bulletproof helmets, and 1,161 pairs of night-vision goggles."

The military surplus program and paramilitary units feed off one another in a cyclical loop that has caused an explosive growth in militarized crime control techniques. With all the new high-tech military toys the federal government has been funneling into local police departments, SWAT teams have inevitably multiplied and spread across American cities and towns in both volume and deployment frequency. Criminologist Peter Kraska found that the frequency of SWAT operations soared from just 3,000 annual deployments in the early 1980s to an astonishing 40,000 raids per year by 2001, 75-80 percent of which were used to deliver search warrants.

Balko cites Kraska's research from 1997, which observed that close to "90 percent of cities with populations exceeding 50,000 and at least 100 sworn officers had at least one paramilitary unit, twice as many as in the mid 1980s." He correctly points out that "the trends giving rise to SWAT proliferation in the 1990s have not disappeared, so it's safe to assume that these numbers have continued to rise and are significantly higher today."

Then there are the effects of the war on terror, which sparked the creation of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the introduction of DHS grants to local police departments. These grants are used to purchase policing equipment, although law enforcement is investing in more than just bullet-proof vests and walkie talkies. DHS grants have led to a booming law enforcement industry that specifically markets military-style weaponry to local police departments. If this sounds familiar, that's because it is law enforcement's version of the military-industrial-complex.

By instituting public policies that encouraged the collaboration of military and domestic policing, the US government handed a massive and highly profitable clientele to private suppliers of paramilitary gear. Following the breakdown of Posse Comitatus in the 1980s and '90s, Peter Cassidy writes in Covert Action Quarterly that "gun companies, perceiving a profitable trend, began aggressively marketing automatic weapons to local police departments, holding seminars, and sending out color brochures redolent with ninja-style imagery."

Private suppliers of military equipment advertise a glorified version of military-style policing attire to local police departments and SWAT teams. One such defense manufacturing company, Heckler and Koch, epitomized this aggressive marketing tactic with its slogan for the MP5 submachine gun, “From the Gulf War to the Drug War—Battle Proven.”

Today's latest in paramilitary fashion sweeping through local police departments is the armored tank, which is making appearances all over the country at an increasingly alarming rate. The police department in Roanoke, Virginia paid Armet Armored Vehicles, a private company that specializes in military vehicles, $218,000 to assemble a 20,000-pound bulletproof tank with a $245,000 federal grant.

Not to feel left out, the Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) in Lancaster, PA, was recently seen sporting the Lenco BearCat, a camouflage colored Humvee-styled tank that can “knock down a wall, pull down a fence, withstand small-arms fire and deliver a dozen heavily armed police officers to a tense emergency scene,” according to a local news report. The BearCat was purchased a year and a half ago with a $226,224 grant from DHS, yet it has spent nearly two years sitting in a garage at the county's Public Safety Training Center.

The most widely used justification for the purchase of heavily armored war machines is that violence against police officers has increased exponentially, necessitating the tank for protection of the men and women who serve our communities. But examination of the FBI's annual Uniform Crime Report, a database that tracks the number of law enforcement officers killed and assaulted each year, reveals that this is simply not true. According to the UCR, since 2000 an average yearly toll of about 50 police officers have been feloniously killed, the highest reaching 70 in 2001. So the notion that militarization is a necessary reaction to a growth in violence against police officers is absurd, considering that violent crime is trending downward.

Others argue these tanks are needed in case of a terrorist attack or a natural disaster. But on September 11, 2001, I do not recall the NYPD complaining that a lack of armored tanks was impeding its policing efforts. And during the catastrophic tornado that tore through Joplin, Missouri earlier this year, heavily armored vehicles weren't present nor were they needed to assist in the aftermath.

The majority of paramilitary drug raid proponents maintain that military-style law enforcement is required to reduce the risk of potential violence, injury and death to both police officers and innocents. Based on Balko’s investigations, the reality is that SWAT team raids actually “escalate provocation, usually resulting in senseless violence in what would otherwise be a routine, nonviolent police procedure.”

Just consider your reaction in the event of a SWAT team breaking down your door in the middle of night, possibly even blowing off the hinges with explosives, while you and your family are asleep. Imagine the terror of waking up to find complete strangers forcing their way into your home and detonating a flash-bang grenade, meant to disorient you. Assuming nobody is hurt, what thoughts might be raging in your mind while the police forcefully incapacitate you and your loved ones, most likely at gunpoint, while carrying out a search warrant of your home. Assuming you were able to contain the mix of fear and rage going through your body, consider how helpless you would feel to know that any perceived noncompliance would most certainly be met with lethal force.

Training and technology-sharing between the defense and civilian law enforcement seems responsible for the pervasive culture of militarism plaguing domestic law enforcement. In fact, an estimated 46 percent of paramilitary units were trained by "active-duty military experts in special operations." Lawrence Korb, a former official in the Reagan administration, famously said that soldiers are “trained to vaporize, not Mirandize." As police officers continue to emulate soldiers in their weaponry, language, tactics, uniform, and mindset, it won't be long before they vaporize instead of Mirandize as well.

We have created circumstances under which the American people are no longer individuals protected by the Bill of Rights, but rather "enemy combatants." The consequences of such a mindset have proven time and again to be lethal, as we now rely on military ideology and practice to respond to crime and justice. For some insight into the implications, one needn't look any further than minority communities, which have long been the victims of paramilitary forces posing as police officers. Black and Latino communities in the inner-cities of Washington DC, Detroit and Chicago have witnessed first-hand the deadly consequences of militarization on American soil. Military culture now permeates all aspects of our society. Does anyone really believe that heavily armed soldiers trained to kill are capable of maintaining an atmosphere of nonviolence?

It's important to remember that police officers are not responsible for instituting these policies. Over the last three decades local police departments supplied with military uniforms, weaponry, vehicles, and training, were told they were fighting a war on drugs, crime and terror. The politicians who instituted these policies are responsible for the militarization creeping into civilian law enforcement. What might the end result be if the distinction between police and military ceases to exist? The answer is a police state -- and certain segments of our society are already living in one.

It seems that concentration camps are coming back, and not in Germany, well at least as far as I know right now. But they seem to be headed back in this country and in England, at least. President Hussein, ah err Obama, has already announced to us all that he can personally, or order, murder ANY US citizen, for no reason at all, just that he wants to. You all know I believe in reincarnation, is Hussein the current incarnation of Germany's former leader Adolf? Lots of people thought that was G. Bush the 2nd. Maybe it wasn't, maybe he was just the loss leader, or maybe Hussein, ah errr Obama is the incarnation of Stalin? If not one of the two, I'm sure they're having a good laugh at us.
In any case if he can freely murder me, or you or your wife, or your kids, or your grandchildren, are concentration, aka re-education, camps impossible? Not really...

Occupy London demonstrators have been listed as domestic terrorists by the City of London Police, who characterized them in the same context as Al-Qaeda, the Colombian FARC and Belarusian terrorists who bombed the Minsk underground.

“The City of London Police force was facing criticism last night after including the Occupy London demonstration in a letter warning businesses about potential terrorist threats,” reports the Independent.

Police admitted the leaflet, entitled, “Terrorism/Extremism Update,” was produced by them but claimed it was “poorly worded”.

“Activism is not a crime and the desire to participate in democratic decision-making should not be a cause for concern for the police in any free society,” said an Occupy London representative.

Previous advertising campaigns by other law enforcement bodies in London educated the public that behavior such as paying with cash, keeping curtains closed, or minding your own business were all signs of potential terrorism.

One radio commercial, produced by the The Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo), was later banned because it smeared law-abiding citizens and could “encourage people to harass or victimise their neighbours and was appealing to people’s fear.”

As we reported earlier, ‘Occupy’ demonstrators over the pond in Portland staged a march yesterday to protest the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act, which under Section 1031 could lead to demonstrators being carted off to detention camps and held without trial.

The Department of Defense is now training its personnel that protest amounts to “low-level terrorism” through tests that DoD staffers are required to take on a yearly basis.

Whether you agree with the grievances of the ‘Occupy’ movement or not, the fact that protest groups are now being designated as domestic terrorists underscores the fact that governments now treat dissent and the exercise of freedoms as a suspicious activity.

Yet weren’t we told the terrorists attacked us because they hate our freedoms? It appears as if the terrorists have won.

It's nice to see the TSA is concerned about finding a rapist in their ranks. But I have a feeling Mr. Rodman (good name for a rapist or pornstar) is while not the brightest bulb in the lamp, more the rule than the exception. He just got tired of feeling up little girls and old women, nuns and housewives and moved on to the next level. We knew he's a pervert, and bully he worked for the TSA. I have to wonder how many other rapes he committed, on and off the job, before he was caught. I also heard on the news that for the holiday season, to suck people back into flying, the TSA has modified their feeling up of children 12 and under, probably restraining their pedophiles and perverts from penetrating pussies and assholes, for the holidays only, and of course 12 and under can keep their shoes on. There's a big deal, they can keep their shoes on, wow.... This agency of Federal perversion needs to go. I recommend that all people stop flying until the TSA is gotten rid of, of course because of greed, impatience and selfishness, they won't and the TSA will go on, making free travel in the US more and more difficult until it becomes impossible. The good news is I'm a short timer, and hopefully won't be around to see our country as it becomes something it was never meant to be. Today it isn't the US I was born in, but it's becoming even less so, by the day.

TSA officer charged with sexual assault

Washington (CNN) -- A federal airport screener has been charged with sexual assault after he allegedly assaulted a woman near his home in Manassas, Virginia, police said Tuesday.

Police said Harold Glenn Rodman, 52, was wearing a uniform and displayed a badge at the time of the attack.
Rodman is a Transportation Security Administration officer at Dulles International Airport, the TSA confirmed. He has been removed from security operations pending the investigation.
According to Prince William County, Virginia, police, a 37-year-old woman and her friend were walking in a Manassas neighborhood when a man who was unknown to them approached, displayed a badge and then sexually assaulted the woman before fleeing on foot. Police responded to a call at 3:25 a.m. Sunday and, while canvassing the neighborhood, noticed a man matching the attacker's description exit his home, police said. The man was arrested in connection with the incident, police said.
Rodman is charged with abduction with intent to defile, aggravated sexual assault, forcible sodomy and object sexual penetration.
A TSA spokesman said the TSA is working closely with police on the case.
"TSA holds its personnel to the highest professional and ethical standards, and investigates all allegations of misconduct," TSA spokesman Greg Soule said. "The disturbing allegations against this individual in no way reflect the work of the more than 50,000 security officers who every day ensure the security of the traveling public."

Did you know that by 7500 B.C. Bharat (India) already had advanced townships with villages of mud-brick houses?

Bharatvarsh (the Indian Subcontinent) is home to the oldest civilization in the world. Mehrgarh which dates to 7500 BC is the oldest city which predates the Indus Valley Civilisation. Recently there have been archaeological findings off the coast of Gujarat in India which confirm a submerged city which is the worlds oldest city. This Indian city dates back to 8000-9000BC.

In 1922, excavations began at Mohenjo-Daro (which means 'hill of the dead') in the Indus Valley, four hundred miles south-west of Harappa, which revealed a rich urban civilization that no one had suspected. Incredibly, Mohenjo-Daro proved to be as sophisticated as a later Greek or Roman city, built on mud-brick platforms to protect it from floods, with a grid-plan reminiscent of New York, and an impressive sewer system - not to mention sit-down toilets. The size of the city indicated that it held about 40,000 people. The large number of female statuettes found there suggested that a female deity - probably the moon goddess - was worshipped. Their seals proved they possessed some form of writing.

A scientifically planned towns and buildings were part of the landscape and about 300 settlements in a belt extending 1,520 km from North to South covering a million square kilometers have been discovered, of which Harappa, Mohenjo-Daro, Kalibangan, and Lothal are important sites. The towns were designed with citadels and defensive walls and the streets and lanes had drains. Individual bathrooms and lavatories were impressively drained into a larger system. Well-developed docks and store houses as well as bullock carts for transportation were very popular.

The earliest recorded Indian mathematics was found along the banks of the Indus. Archaeologists have uncovered several scales, instruments, and other measuring devices. The Harappans employed a variety of plumb bobs that reveal a system of weights 27.584 grams. If we assign that a value of 1, other weights scale in at .05, .1, .2, .5, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500. These weights have been found in sites that span a five-thousand-year period, with little change in size.

Archaeologists also found a “ruler” made of shell lines drawn 6.7 millimeters apart with a high degree of accuracy. Two of the lines are distinguished by circles and are separated by 33.5 millimeters, or 1.32 inches. This distance is the so-called Indus inch. 'In subsequent years, further excavations along the 1800 miles of the Indus river valley revealed more than 150 sites, half a dozen of the cities. The whole area, from the Arabian sea to the foothills of the Himalayas, was once the home of a great civilization that rivaled Egypt or Greece. To the east of the Indus lies a vast desert, the Thar Desert. When remains of towns were found in this desert there was some puzzlement about how they had survived in such arid conditions. Then satellite photography revealed the answer: the Thar Desert was once a fertile plain, traversed by a great river; there were even unmistakable signs of canals. Now only a small part of this river, the Ghaggar, exists. Scholars concluded that the river that had now vanished was the Sarasvati, mentioned in the Vedic hymns.

It seemed that in the heyday of Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa, this whole plain was one of the richest places in the world. At a time when ancient Britons were Bronze Age farmers, and the Greeks were a few Mycenaean warrior tribes, one of the world's greatest civilizations flourished in the land of the Indus and the Sarasvati. It seems that some great catastrophe destroyed this civilization some time after 1900 BC. Evidence shows that the earth buckled, due to the pressure of the tectonic plate that has raised the Himalayas, and the result was a series of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions that literally caused the rivers to sink into the ground. The cost in human life must have been appalling.

11/16/11 I'm doing something I've never done since starting this blog, I'm adding to it after publishing a post. I just want to add that this is something you should read. It's scary to see how rampant, how widespread police abuse, police criminality is. Beatings, murder, rape, and other criminal activity is becoming the norm, commonplace, all over this country, it's not just here, or there, or over there, it's everywhere. This is something you should read and remember. Next time it could be any one of us.

On May 13, 1985, in the twilight of the Cold War, residents of Philadelphia were ruthlessly bombed from the sky. The enemy government was conducting a political mission, but innocent inhabitants of that distinctly American city were caught up in the attack. After ten thousand rounds were fired at civilians over a period of two hours, a helicopter swooped in and dropped C-4 and Tovex explosives, destroying 65 houses. Five children were slaughtered in the strike.

The perpetrator was not the Soviet Union, or else the attack might have escalated into international conflict. It certainly would have made it into textbook timelines and become part of the nation’s consciousness. No, those responsible for this atrocity were members of the Philadelphia police department. The local cops sought to finish off their political enemies after years of animosity and tension. The proximate legal excuse for bombing their own city? The cops had gotten complaints about noise and the stench of compost.

Twenty-six years have passed since the bombing of the MOVE house and if there was any doubt before, it is now beyond question that the local police have become the occupying troops that Malcolm X described. They are the standing army the Founding Fathers warned against. In the United States, they are the most dangerous gang operating and they do so under the color of law.

Anyone who reads Will Grigg should be familiar with this reality. The man who once edited the magazine for the John Birch Society, an organization whose 60’s mantra was "support your local police," has since then focused largely on documenting the daily outrages conducted by these tax parasites. Reading his specific accounts of misconduct and brutality, one comes to the inescapable conclusion that police abuse is not a bug in the system; it is an intrinsic feature.

We can cite some of the most gruesome and high-profile outrages of recent years, such as the murder of Oscar Grant on New Years Day, 2009, a young man shot by a Bay Area cop in the back while lying face-down on the ground; or the brutal beating of Alexander Landau, a college student who dared to ask Denver cops for a warrant before they searched his trunk; or the plight of seven-year-old Aiyana Stanley Jones, who was murdered last May in Detroit as she lay on her family’s couch while the cops raided the home, tossed in a flash-grenade that set her on fire and then shot her in the head.

Any one of these incidents should set off as much anti-government anger as the Boston Massacre, but some will object that I am cherry picking. So let us limit ourselves to just the last couple months to illustrate the depth of the problem. Last month, police in Trenton shot and killed an unarmed man, saying he was reaching for his waistband. In Orlando, police tased a man to death for being disorderly in a movie theater. In Derby, Kansas, a police officer broke a teenager’s arm because he dared to talk back after getting in trouble for wearing sagging pants.

On May 5, police in Tuscon stormed into Jose Guerena’s home around 9 AM, and shot him 71 times. Yes, fearful for his family’s safety, he was holding an AR-15 in self-defense, but didn’t get a shot in, despite lies to the contrary – yet there was no evidence found of any wrongdoing or illegality on his part. In Alabama, a police officer beat an 84-year-old man for reporting a car accident and daring to put the offender under "citizens arrest" – a more civilized version of what police do routinely – and then the officer turned an ambulance away, insisting the elderly victim didn’t need medical help. Louisiana cops tased Kirkin Woolridge at a traffic stop on May 18, and he soon died of complications in jail.

Just in the last week, we have the DC cops who brutally beat up a defenseless man in a wheelchair. In Moore, Oklahoma, innocent residents are upset that police shot at their homes indiscriminately in attempting to chase down an "armed suicidal subject." In Fort Collins, Colorado, a police patrol car seriously injured a bicyclist, but unlike nearly any other collision between a bike and car, it is being blamed on the bicyclist.

These are just very recent examples that can be found from a minute of Googling. They are no doubt the tip of the iceberg. They do not begin to represent the millions of smaller injustices conducted by police daily, both under the cover of law and in naked violation of statutes and court decisions, or the thousands of daily injustices and acts of torture and sexual abuse in America’s prisons and jails, for which law enforcers are at least indirectly and very often directly responsible.

The chaotic violence of the modern police state is ubiquitous. Every day there are 100 SWAT raids in America. Remember in the old days when SWAT raids were reserved for stopping some terrorist intent on destroying half the city? Maybe that was just in the movies. There were 3,000 SWAT raids in 1981, the year I was born, which was bad enough. There will be 40,000 this year.

In modern America, even small towns have their own air forces. The TV news frets about al-Qaeda, but rarely exposes the threat of the thin blue line. About as many Americans have been killed by police since 9/11/01 as died on that day. Between 1980 and 2005, police killed 9,500 people in the U.S., approximately one per day and almost three-fourths as many people as have been sentenced and executed in the United States since colonial times. A study in Harris County, Texas, found that between 1999 and mid 2005, officers in the county shot 65 unarmed people, killing 17.

But don’t police put their lives on the line for us? Only 117 police were killed in the line of duty in 2009, which might seem like a lot, but being a police officer is not even one of the top ten dangerous jobs in America.

Surely, the people who are killed by the cops had it coming. Well, consider how many are killed when the police presumably do not intend to kill at all and so reach for their taser. Amnesty International found that "the number of people who died after being struck by Tasers in the USA reached 334 between 2001 and August 2008."

This all puts aside the unspeakable corruption that plagues virtually every police station in America. From an Orlando officer covering up evidence of vicious brutality against a 100-pound woman to the systematic corruption of a small-town department in Kansas to San Francisco undercover cops stealing drugs for themselves, even the reported cases of police misconduct – there were 2,500 such reports last year – are enough to show the whole system is rotten. A cursory look at the admitted child rapists and other such lowlifes who often "serve" as officers for years before being caught also puts the lie to the very idea that police are on average any more noble than the general population.

Limited-government libertarians often reserve at least three functions to the state – military, courts and police. But why police? We never tire of talking about America as it was before the government swallowed society whole. In particular, we reminisce about the principles of 1776. Yet, although there was plenty to object to in colonial law and law in the early republic, police as we now know them didn’t exist back then.

Philadelphia adopted a police force in 1845. New Orleans, Cincinnati, Chicago and Baltimore followed suit in the next decade. From the beginning these were politicized bodies, involved in corrupt local politics and enforcing questionable laws. They were not immaculately conceived any more than the state itself. But it was not until the Progressive Era that the modern police force was truly born. At the turn of the century, cities adopted fingerprinting and forensics labs. Soon came radios and patrol cars. Berkeley, California, home to many great strides in progressive social engineering, was also a pioneer in creating modern police. August Vollmer, Berkeley’s chief of police, trained a new generation of cops through the University of California. His protégé O M. Wilson went on to revolutionize the forces of Wichita and Chicago.

By the 1960s, police were more often in cars than walking the streets. This made a big difference. Lawrence M. Freedman writes in Crime and Punishment in American History:

A cop on foot was a familiar cop, a neighborhood cop; he knew his beat, and the beat knew him. He was also pretty much on his own. Headquarters was far away; he was beyond its beck and call. But now a ton of steel separated the motorized officer from the community; police cruising in patrol cars were strangers to the dark, dangerous streets; these police tended to feel alien, beleaguered; the locals, for their part, thought of them as an outside, occupying force.

This alienation from the community tends to galvanize the police into a tight-knit gang complete with its own identity: "The police are a tight, beleaguered group. They develop their own subculture, and it is a subculture of tough, macho conservatism. . . . They see human beings at their worst, and that certainly colors their philosophy of life."

Furthermore, cops have come to "believe in fighting fire with fire. Police brutality was part of a more general system of police power. It rested on a simple credo: the battalions of law and order had the right, if not the duty, to be tough as nails with criminals. Force was the only language the criminal understood."

Force might be necessary to deal with violent thugs, but allowing the greatest predator of all – the state – to monopolize the sector of the economy concerned with using force against criminals is a recipe for oppression and injustice. The entire history of government police demonstrates they cannot be trusted. They are the henchmen of all the totalitarian regimes we see on the History Channel. In the United States, they were always a menace, at least to some. They tended early on to focus their brutality against the other – immigrants, gangsters, ethnic minorities, transients and the counterculture. Today they still bias their violence against the fringes of society, the young and the powerless, but they are now so vast a presence that no one is safe, no matter how respectable, no matter his demographic.

The 20th century brought us all the horrors of progressivism, and one conspicuous example has been the militarized city police force, which has become an organization hostile to all manner of civilized decency. The last century, particularly since the 1960s, also meant an increasing nationalization of police, arming them with military weapons, plugging them into national databases, harmonizing oppression throughout the country so there is no escape, charging cops with new national crusades against drugs and other non-crimes. Then there is the revolving door between the military and police precincts, with veterans, often traumatized from battle, increasingly enlisting back home as cops. The institutional and cultural nationalization has made matters worse, although local police, as agents of the state, have been very eager partners in the federalization of law enforcement. They have never been the great defenders against national usurpation conservatives long hoped for; but today they are all-out quislings.

Needless to say, all anarchists should support outright and immediate abolition of the police. We’re talking about the enforcement arm of the state, after all. If you oppose the state monopoly, you must favor eliminating the state’s method of maintaining its monopoly – through the police. And indeed, if you distrust socialism, you should distrust law-enforcement socialism as much as anything, for this is the original sin that allows all other state depredations to follow. Also, when the state misallocates resources, it is not nearly so evil in itself as when it inevitably misallocates violence on a massive scale.

For much of U.S. history, Americans had less government and fewer police. Government will necessarily be weaker, all else being equal, the fewer enforcement agents it boasts. Without any armed enforcers, the state withers away. The fewer armed state agents the better. The growth of modern leviathan in the 20th century accompanied the rise of the city police force. Big government and cops go hand in hand.

If your goal is to end the welfare state, the regulatory state, the wars, or anything else seriously bad about government, abolishing the police would seem to be a major priority. Do you oppose taxation? Abolish the police, as well as all other agencies of government law enforcement, and see how threatening those 1040s and state tax forms seem then.

Some will argue that the police protect our rights. But if the market is really better than socialism, abolishing the police outright shouldn’t be a problem. Why trust the state to continue cornering the market on rights protection? If protecting life, liberty and property is important – and it most certainly is – we cannot to let the central planners and their armed enforcers run the show. Fire them immediately. The market will find a better way to protect us within 24 hours, if it takes nearly that long. If we all take up the abolitionist cause, certainly by the time police are abolished, civil society will find a way to fill the void.

And of course, the very premise that we must maintain state police for the sake of our rights assumes that they protect our rights more than they infringe them. This is completely dubious. Surely we have no "constitutional right" to police protection, as the Seventh Circuit Court determined in Bowers v. Devito (1982). When there’s a riot or huge unleashing of social unrest, police often bail out, leaving shop owners and other people to fend for themselves, who do a better job anyway, as during the 1992 LA riots. What’s more, the police often exacerbate the catastrophe by disarming homeowners and shooting at people committing petty offenses, like they did after Katrina. Furthermore, studies seem to indicate that police strikes don’t lead to any demonstrated rise in crime.

We can probably assume that abolishing the police would not lead to the apocalypse people fear, not even in the short run as the market sorts things out. Why?

First of all actual crimes are almost never prevented by the police. The vast majority go unsolved. At best, the police investigate them after they occur, and then usually do nothing. Sometimes they make an arrest, which might, at a huge expense to taxpayers, result in someone in jail – and maybe even the right person. Even in this minority of cases, the idea that jail is a remedy to the rights violation, or prevents more rights violations from occurring, is an unchecked premise. Even putting violent predators in prison where they can brutalize less violent people may not actually reduce the amount of aggression, if we count the victims in the cages, as we should. Meanwhile, even the government’s pursuit of actual criminals entails numerous rights violations in itself – investigations of the innocent, enslaving jurors and witnesses, turning lives upside down. Victims are never made whole. And for this we have to run the risk of being shot or wrongly arrested by the state.

Second of all, the police actively encourage violent crime in myriad ways. They enforce the drug war, which probably doubles the number of homicides and vastly increases street crime, along with some help from gun control, which they also enforce. Gun control, by the way, demonstrates that people do fear the police more than criminals – otherwise no one would follow these gun laws. Instead, law-abiding folks know the risk of being caged for this non-crime is more significant than the risk of being caught unarmed by a private thug. So does gun control operate in preserving the advantage for private criminals. Abolishing the police outright, even if it put upward pressure on crime rates, would probably overall lead to fewer crimes because of the elimination of the criminality incited and encouraged by state activity.

Third and most important, the police themselves routinely violate the rights of innocent people as a major component of their job description. The greater their numbers, financing and power, the worse it gets. It is the job of police to harass the innocent, to jail people for victimless crimes, to stop people for minor traffic violations, to trick people into admitting law breaking, to fulfill quotas for arrests, and to generally instill in the community a fear and awe of the state. It is almost impossible to be a police officer on the beat and not violate the non-aggression principle on a regular basis. As a material fact, most police conducting arrests on the street are committing acts of kidnapping, theft, trespass, and invasion. Those who arrest people who end up in prison are effectively accessories to rape and assault.

Even if having police is a desirable thing, we cannot do so safely until the bad laws are off the books, and then it would be best to fire all police and start over. If having had a severe criminal record tends to disqualify people from the job, so too must having been a reputable police officer. If I am too harsh in this regard, it is just one more reason to abolish the government’s police and allow for the market to take over. Allow entrepreneurs to decide which former government police are redeemable and employable as private security and which are not.

What to do about violent thugs? The market, social norms, private security, the wonders and corollary institutions of private property, gated communities, private gun ownership, religious values – all the blessings of civil society are on our side. But the police rarely are. When a violent criminal kills or assaults or rapes or steals, we all condemn it, and we can find a way to deal with it when the criminals are not protected by the system. But what about when the criminals are the system?

Private security is already a greater bulwark against violent and property crime than many people realize. As of 1997, according to the Economist (as cited by Robert Higgs):

There are three times as many private policemen as public ones.... Americans also spend a lot more on private security (about $90 billion a year) than they do, through tax dollars, on the public police ($40 billion). Even the government itself spends more hiring private guards than it does paying for police forces.

For a decade and a half, we have had three times as many private guards as public ones, yet it is an oddity indeed to hear about their abuses, unlike those of the police that make the papers every day – and that’s just counting reported offenses. It should be no wonder. As market actors, private security guards are generally heroic defenders of property, commerce and life, and are liable for the wrong they do, unlike the state’s armed agents, who work for an institution of monopoly, theft, kidnapping, rape rooms and murder.

Can we really survive without government police? When we consider how much they do to disrupt civil society, it would seem obvious that we can. The police, on balance, are a force for decivilization and disorder. They commit massive violations of person and property. They enforce gun and drug laws that basically create organized crime and breed gang activity. Most of what they do encourages, rather than diminishes, violence. Despite all this, America remains a fairly civilized place. If we survived this long with the police, just imagine how much better off we’d be without them.

Do Tibetan Prayer Wheels Work?

I'm not really sure as I'm not Tibetan, and several knowledgeable people who are from that part of the world say they're nonsense and superstition. But then again, I say maybe they do work, and if they do every little bit helps. They've been around for centuries, millions of people have used them, all types, handheld, wind and water powered, huge that you turn as you walk past. They're in peoples hands, in homes, temples, on path's, basically everywhere there's people. at least they were, before Tibet was invaded, now maybe not so much.
I was researching on line, thinking I'd buy a wind powered prayer wheel, hey it can't hurt, and might help. I can use all the help I can get. But came across something maybe better.
Everybody's got a computer, and several sites are talking about digital prayer wheels. Here's a Link Hard drives are turning all the time, the theory is that you write Om Mani Padme Hum, one or more times in a document on your computer and the hard drive becomes an electronic digital prayer wheel. Did I do it? Yes, if you look at the top of this blog you'll find it, that's one, also the name of the file, that's two, and today I took some time and did an Excell spreadsheet in which I wrote Om Mani Padme Hum in the cells A-Z (26 times) and 10,013 lines deep which totals 260,338 times rotating on the hard drive.
Maybe it's nonsense and superstion, or maybe it works. I'm believing they wouldn't have been around so long and believed in by millions of people if they didn't, but if I'm wrong, all I've done is use a couple of mb's on a drive, I don't think I'm wrong though.

US cops tried to erase online evidence of brutality

Apparently the cops in the US are finding that publication of their abusive and illegal antics is embarrassing, to say the least. Of course the article doesn't say which videos or which cops, but if I were them I'd stop worrying that there're videos and get rid of the reasons they exist at all.

Google has been asked by a US law enforcement agency to remove several videos exposing police brutality from the video sharing service YouTube, the company has revealed in its latest update to an online transparency report.

Another request filed by a different agency required Google to remove videos allegedly defaming law enforcement officials. The two requests were among 92 submissions for content removal by various authorities in the US filed between January and June 2011. Both were rejected by Google along with 27 per cent of the submissions.

The IT giant says the overall number of requests for content removal it receives from governmental agencies has risen, and so has the number of requests to disclose the private data of Google users.

Brazil heads the first list with 224 separate demands to remove a total of 689 items from its search results, as well as from YouTube and various other services. Google says its social networking service Orkut is very popular in the Latin American country, which partially explains the number of requests.

Heading the list of countries requesting the disclosure of personal data is the United States, where a total of 5,950 submissions targeting 11,057 user accounts have been filed. Google fully or partially complied with 93 per cent of those requests. Second on the list is India, with 1,732 requests over a six-month period.

Russian officials filed fewer than 10 requests to remove content and 42 requests to disclose user information (which was the first time the number reached Google’s threshold for reporting). The company complied with 75 per cent of the Russian requests concerning content and none of those concerning user data.

Google says it hopes that its report will contribute to the ongoing public discussion on the ways the internet needs to be regulated.

Commenting on the incident, Jim Killock, executive director of the Open Rights Group, points out that YouTube is a public platform and any steps to censor it should be backed with a court order.

“Police seem to be advising Google on what material might be breaking the law, and then Google decides to censor this material without a court order,” he said, stressing that a court appearance should be part of making such judgments.

Ultimately, public media seem to becoming more of a police tool to gather evidence. Killock recalled British Prime Minister David Cameron urging the news outlets to hand over material collected during the UK riots – both published and unpublished – to the police

Tibet - Can the Dalai Lama Retire? Tibet - as a Democracy?

At the Dalai Lama's web page there are two articles that I hadn't seen. One that he's in semi-retirement, and the other that he brings democracy to Buddhists and to Tibet at some point in time.

The 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso, which is shortened from Jetsun Jamphel Ngawang Lobsang Yeshe Tenzin Gyatso, was born Lhamo Thondup, on July 6, 1935 is the 14th and current Dalai Lama of Tibet, but currently he's in exile in India. Dalai Lamas are the most influential figures in the Gelugpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, although the 14th has consolidated control over the other lineages in recent years. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989, and is well known for his lifelong advocacy for Tibetans inside and outside Tibet, which as their leader of course he should be. Traditionally he's believed to be the reincarnation of all of his predecessors at least, possibly even to the time of Buddha. The same soul incarnating over and over for a single purpose.

So directly he's the incarnation of the 13th Dalai Lama, also known as the the Great Thirteenth, Thupten Gyatso, which is shortened from Ngawang Lobsang Thupten Gyatso Jigdral Chokley Namgyal, who was born in 1876 and himself brought many changes to Tibet, among them the first post office, currency, and the first power station, as well as a reincarnation of the 12th, the 11th, the 10th, on back to being a reincarnation of the 1st Dalai Lama Gedun Drupa who was born in the late 14th century.

I'm saying all that so you can understand the ideas that've driven Tibet for the last 600 years or so. One spirit in the form of so far, 14 men has run Tibet. This is not theory, or idea, or possibility in Tibet, it's truth, it's fact. Throughout the world influenced by Tantric Buddhism it's truth. That accounts for most of the east.
Until the most recent the 14th there were times that they lived in exile, but until now returned to the Potala in Lhasa. Unfortunately in the time of the 14th he was forced to flee into exile in fear for his life, and has been unable to return to Lhasa. He is a ruler and religious leader forced to lead his people from afar.

The Chinese, among others, have always had the desire to add Tibet to their country, for centuries they maintained a relationship that was beneficial to both, but then in the early 20th century, due to British India and Czarist Russia also getting involved, trying to bring Tibet under their influence, led to invasions and the three major powers trying to gain control of Tibet. In much the same way as had happened in Russia, China underwent a rebellion against the Manchu Dynasty, leading to it's being ruled by the Chinese Nationalist Party. Tibet was finally invaded by Nationalist China in 1949 and that's where it stands today. Tibet still stands under the oppressive communist regime. I just read an article that Tibetans are burning themselves alive in protest against the communist oppression, and that the Chinese government claims the Dalai Lama is committing terrorism in disguise by supporting this. The Chinese have murdered millions of Tibetans in the years, decades, since invading and taking over the country. For a multitude of reasons, that all boil down to failure to bow down to China.

Link From Birth to Exile in the Dalai Lama's Web Page

As mentioned above I was also reading an article that the Dalai Lama considers himself semi-retired. From what I've read, and learned, I don't claim to be a expert, this may be the first time this has happened. I believe in all other incarnations the Dalai Lama ruled until he died. At which time the search would begin for the next incarnate. It had never occurred to me that semi-retirement is even possible. In a corporation, the CEO goes into semi-retirement and someone else takes over the day to day detail of the job, that makes sense because there's nothing really special about the job that can't be taught to someone else fairly quickly, assuming they don't already know it from having worked with the CEO. But, in the case of a single soul that's incarnated into the same role, the same job, 14 times, isn't that something a little special? I admit that I'm as far from being an expert as you can get about this, I'm far from even being knowledgeable. He would certainly be more aware of the circumstances than I. It just seems to me that once having accepted the job, you have no business trying to leave early, either you are, or you're not. There's no one else that can take over the day to day details of the job. If there were there'd be no need for a Dalai Lama, any one or a bunch of any ones could do the job as well or better. So far, through 14 incarnations over many centuries, this hasn't been true. I'm wondering if he's lived in and been exposed to the west so long that he's started to accept the western beliefs about Tibet and a ruler that is the reincarnation of all the previous incarnations? That it's not real, interesting, but that's all. He has lived longer than all except the First Dalai Lama, Gedun Drupa, who was born in 1391 and lived 83 years. Maybe he's just getting tired? I'm going to leave with just a comment that the 5th and 13th Dalai Lama's were called "The Great" because they did great things, but if you believe, the 14th is the same soul, the same being, but in a different time, and also capable of great things. In my opinion, what he's done, by surviving these 67 years, most in exile, holding the Tibetan people both in exile and in Tibet together, being their religious and secular leader, and even more. Dealing with world leaders, some friendly, some not, most duplicious and outright liars, saying one thing to his face another behind his back. Dealing with a world that itself is completely different than Tibet. For that matter dealing with a Tibet, that day by day becomes different than the country he knew, as the Chinese invaders deliberately do their best to eradicate all that Tibet was, once. All this and more may possibly make him Greater than either of the others. Again, he's dealing with more of the outside world, living outside of his world, trying to resolve the release of Tibet by a larger, stronger, insane nation, that's invaded and controlled Tibet for decades and has no desire to leave. His incarnation is taking place in a world that's hundreds of times more decadent, hostile, He's earned the right to retire, but how is it possible? It isn't.

His Holiness said he also came to explain why he had handed over all his political authority to the elected Tibetan leadership. He said this 14th Dalai Lama had voluntarily, happily, and proudly relinquished the historical authority of the Dalai Lamas. He added that the main reason for his decision was that it was his view that rule by kings and queens or religious leaders was out of date. He had also been maintaining that religious and political institutions must be separate. Therefore, he felt it was somewhat hypocritical for him to be combining the two roles while telling others that they should be separate. Here he talked about the contrast in experience that he had while visiting Beijing in 1954 and India in 1956. In 1954 he went to Beijing as a member of the Chinese National People’s Congress and witnessed how silent and disciplined the members were. In India, he said the Parliament was full of noise and seeming to have no discipline. He witnessed the Indian parliamentarians criticizing the government and the then prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. He was thus impressed by the freedom of speech and freedom of thought in India.
His Holiness said that after coming to India as a refugee in 1959, he began democratization process. By 2001 we already achieved elected political leadership, he said, adding that since then his position was semi-retirement. He said now 10 years had passed and that now the semi retirement must be complete retirement. His Holiness added that our small organization in exile was fully democratic. “So we really feel very proud,” he said adding that he felt it was “ my duty to report to my long time supporter and long time friend.”

They are about the Kelly Thomas Murder. The first purports to be a letter to the acting Chief Hamilton from Mr. Cicinelli's brother. Whether or not it really is I don't know and make no representations one way or the other. It does however allude to having seen the mysterious video that remains unreleased to the public. Did Cincinelli and the others make copies to amuse their friends and family? Again, who knows. Basically "the brother" is saying that the whole murder wasn't murder or criminal at all, just an unfortunate accident that can happen to any cop, anywhere anytime. This in itself is possibly the scariest part. It possibly comes from the killers own family that there's nothing out of the ordinary in a cop killing a civilian. It may be a beating, a tazering, or a shooting, but it's not unusual, and this from the killers own brother, so he says. He also finds Mr. Ramos, the one indicted for 2nd degree murder, innocent of any wrongdoing. He implies that he's an attorney of some kind. I'd quote the asinine statements in the letter, but I'll let you read for yourself. Here it is:

An “aggressive pedestrian?” What?!

Helpfully provided by some locker room lawyer calling himself “John, Jay’s Brother.”

Acting Chief Hamilton:

I am writing you today regarding the unfortunate but real-life issue, the Kelly Thomas incident, a regrettable part of police work as you well know. In most cases these things happen with no intent on the parts of the officers to cause any level of harm, let alone have a person die in their hands; things just happen. We’re not talking a Rodney King incident, or the shooting of an unarmed transient as in the Charles Hill case in San Francisco, but a wrestling match with a few blows thrown to subdue an aggressive pedestrian who was stopped for lawful reasons. In this case, it wasn’t the fighting that created the fatality, but positional asphyxia, something common to arrest incidents across the nation. You’ve seen the video, as have many leaders in your department, and you cannot argue that these officers went in and beat Thomas to death; your fellow leaders in the department have made their observations and opinions clear. The facts support all but the first two officers, with the only portion unknown and least defendable found within the first few minutes where they are behind the tree and invisible to the camera. From the point when Corporal Jay Cicinelli enters the scene, Thomas is pulled into full view of the camera and all are in view the remainder of the incident.

While the death of Thomas is regrettable, the actions of the police department and the city are much more reprehensible, starting with the inadequate chief who said nothing but drifted off into his protected stress leave, and a new city manager who sorely lacked the experience to capture and control this from the onset. Now, to have it left in the hands of the “unbiased” outside investigator has only exacerbated the problem as he bends to the political pressure brought on by the media and the accusing brothers whom themselves have suspect motives. You know well what I am talking about.

I am writing on behalf of Jay, though I’ve looked at Manual Ramos as well and find little fault in him concerning this death. Two officers do a pedestrian stop based on a call from a local pub. The stop is legal, as well as their motive to detain and arrest Thomas as a possible suspect for 459 PC, burglary. Thomas fails to comply, and the fight is on, with no less than two broadcasts placed for officers to respond code-3. With one officer out of shape, the fight is limited before Ramos spent his energy, and the second who remains on top of the subject is hurt. The third officer on scene knows nothing but that his partners are in a fight, need help, and experiences them exhausted, hot, sweaty, and breathless, in a struggle with a bare-chested suspect. He deploys the stun gun, dry first, and with the barbs second, but each having no effect. In-fact, the only result seems to come with an officer receiving the shocking transfer of the jolt through Thomas’ body, into that of Officer Hampton. What comes next is basic police work: A few knees by Officer Joseph Wolfe, as well as some punching to the face area. Jay struggles to maintain his stun gun as Kelly attempts to disarm him twice, followed by Jay swinging it around a few times, then a few (between 3 and 5) ineffective swings with the stun gun to hit Thomas and stop his actions. As you know, Jay and Manual are at the lower portion of Thomas’ body, not the chest area where the medical problem arose. After this, there is little that happens until they finally handcuff Thomas, and those who do, not Jay or Manual, leave him handcuffed and hogtied on his chest for several minutes. Do I have to point out to professionals that people die from this alone every year in the hands of police officers? So how then, do they so adamantly point the finger at Jay and Manual? I know why: political pressure.

I find it hard to believe that people, from “Chief” Sellers, to the city manager, to the politicians sitting on the city council, don’t have the wherewithal to stand up for the truth, and defend your officers who have sworn to keep and oath that threatens their lives every day. What I see is a series of cowardly decisions, made by people who are unwilling to do what is right, and defend these officers who were involved in a very unfortunate incident, and have been given up at Ron Thomas’ request, as “sacrificial lambs” if I remember the quote correctly. I believe strongly that everyone from the OC District Attorney to the politicians and their appointed investigator are getting this off their Teflon desks as fast as they can conceivably do, disregarding the low lying fruit within your department, because to them, this is a trivial matter and not worth the time to do the right thing. I believe that they are responding to the media when they assert that Jay has “mental issues” resulting from his LAPD shooting that caused the loss of his left eye. I understand that former Chief McKinley has already stated that in the media, that he wasn’t sure why Jay did these things, and that he was given the psychological evaluation before being hired, indicating that he buys into the mental status. From my records, my arbitral experience, and my legal experience with the EEOC, this would be called discrimination based on disabilities under ADA. Furthermore, the manner by which the city is treating these two officers is significantly different than their fellow officers who faced and currently face criminal charges, some of which are strong felonies, not wobblers. This is accurately described as disparate treatment, another cause of action that I strongly suggest be brought forward by these employees against not only the city, but those who are making the decision to suspend them without pay, thereby adversely impacting the lives of both officers and their families. And though they may deny these assertions, claiming some sort of sovereign immunity based upon their government status, the city, your agency and each person making such decisions are not immune from suits filed under the ADA, and are therefore subject to compensatory, special, future, and punitive damages. Finally, as it comes to the seven tests of just cause, the action taken to suspend these officers comes unfounded based on the lack of a full and complete, unbiased investigation, and the assertion of “rule violations” is most apparently contrived for the purposes of eliminating a political animal that rests heavily on the backs of every person listed above.

I pray that you will step in the gap for these officers, to make decisions that are not based on politics or public opinion, but on facts. And, if the facts are not there to support such negative actions, I strongly urge you to state this to those who are pushing you to make adverse decisions regarding these men and their families. There have been many men throughout history who have changed their course of direction for the right reasons, and have faced scrutiny for doing so. To change course in this case is the right decision, as you know deep down in your heart, and one that will come at a price. Is your future career at a heavily scrutinized department worth the futures of these officers and their families? Please understand that if the leaders above you, who push to get rid of these officers without proof, but based on the ugly pressures of public opinion, do not change their course of action against these officers, each action and decision will not go unanswered, and the legal and political issues they face now will only be exacerbated when these officers are cleared of their charges in court when their day comes.

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but these FPD officers will never be punished by the justice system.
The fix is in regarding the upcoming Fullerton Police murder trials for killing Kelly Thomas.
Unfortunately, the powers that be appear to have conspired with the POLICE UNION to protect these police officers and the police union.
Let us review the facts and I believe that you will tend to agree with me.

THE MURDER

1. It appears the call from a local BAR owner was faked to give the FPD a reason to arrest Kelly. Thus, even the initial stated reason for approaching this “aggressive pedestrian”” is suspect. Side note: If so, the citizens of Fullerton should see to it that this BAR is closed – one way or another.

2. Six FPD officers took part in the murder; apparently two took a bigger part than the other four.

3. Ramos punched Kelly several times in the ribs, tackled Kelly and used his hands to hold Kelly’s NECK and used his body weight to hold Kelly down.

4. Wolfe, who was not charged, also punched Kelly 3 or 4 times, kneed him in the head, and used his body weight to hold Kelly down.

5. Cincinelli arrived and kneed Kelly twice in the head, used his Taser 4 times to shock Kelly, and used the front of the Taser like a club to hit Kelly in the FACE 8 times while Kelly was pinned to the ground and could not move or protect himself; Notably, Kelly did not respond to the clubbing by Cincinelli but that did not stop these animals.

6. A growing pool of blood did not stop the beating.

CAUSE OF DEATH

7. Yet, the official cause of death, according to the corner, is “mechanical compression of the thorax making it impossible to breath normally”; Really !!!! Interesting as will be discussed below.

8. In contrast, the UIC Documents stated that Kelly Thomas died of Blunt Force Trauma to the head (“brain death” due to “head trauma” due to “Assault”). MRI demonstrated diffused supratentorial gray matter infarction consistent with diffused anoxic brain injury.

9. Notably, diffused anoxic injury can be caused by either breathing problems (corner’s selection) or brain acceleration (UIC Documents – from Dr. who treated Kelly). (Note: diffused anoxic brain injury is usually by vehicular accident but can also be caused by head trauma from a beating). This is important as I believe the powers that been in this case have manipulated the selection of the “cause of death” for reasons described below.

THE POLICE REPORTS – Culture of Corruption

10. The Police were allowed watched a video of the incident to craft their reports; reports that had to be rewritten several times even after the video was used. This made sure the reports were consistent with each other.

11. There is apparently a culture of corruption at the FPD including police officers that have been described/be charged as pickpockets, thieves, sexual predators, kidnappers, thugs, and murderers . . . all hired by former Fullerton Police Chief and now city council member Pat McKinley.

A: Albert Rincon – allowed to serially sexually assault women in the back of his patrol car. Actions known to FPD management but nothing was done.

B: FPD police officer — sentenced to jail for fraud to support his pill habit.

C: FPD police officer — arrested in Miami airport for iPad theft.

D: FPD police officer — who smashed recording device on jail wall to avoid complicity in jail suicide.

E: FPD police officers — beating up and falsely arresting Veth Mam.

F: FPD police officers — lying on the witness stand about Veth Mam.

G: FPD police officer — beating up and falsely arresting Edward Quinonez.

H: FPD police officer — sexually assaulting a dozen women in the backseat of his patrol car, with recording device turned off.

I: FPD police officers — issuing traffic citations to harass protesters.

J: FPD police officers — ambushing and murdering a helpless homeless man.

K: FPD police officers — turning off recording devices during murder.

L: FPD police officers — colluding to falsify reports about said murder.

M: FPD superior officers — coaching said falsification and returning to street of said miscreants.

N: FPD police officer — spokeshole deliberately issuing lies to the media to misdirect, temporize, stall and otherwise obscure said murder and cover up.

O) FPD police officer — arrests Emmanuel Martinez by mistake (or on purpose) and he spends 5 months in jail. (why did the FPD and union thugs not help his aggressive pedestrian make bail?)

As for City Leaders – councilmembers insulting protesters as “lynch-type mob”; councilmembers discounting injuries of murder victim.

12. The FPD appears to be run by UNION THUGS, as seems apparent when several Kelly Thomas protestors (aggressive driver) were ticked (by a head union thug) for blowing their car horn in support of Kelly Thomas.

13. While the DA’s job is to protect the people (aka aggressive pedestrians when walking) by prosecuting criminals, in the Kelly Thomas case, the DA has been described as being on the side of the police, who are the criminals in this case, not the people. The DA has even been described as engaging in preemptive surrender before the investigation is complete.

14. Even with help from the video tape to “get their story straight”, the FPD story is a shifting story that appears to be morph as needed to fit the facts of the moment.

TIME LINE

15. Kelly Thomas, an unarmed 150 lb aggressive pedestrian sitting on a bench, was beat to death by 6 FPD police officers on July 5, 2011; apparently with all their combined bulk, mussels and weapons, they just could not seem to get Kelly under control without beating him to death.

16. While the Orange Count DA started his investigation on July 7, 2011, no serious actions were noted until after a large protest outside the FPD on July 18, 2011 and after July 30, 2011 when the FBI started its investigation.

17. At some point between July 10, 2011 and July 30, 2011, Fullerton City tried to settle the case for $900,000, most likely financed by the UNIONS, to keep this incident under the rug, so to speak and probably to keep the FBI out of their files.

18. On August 2, 2011 the Fullerton City Council meeting was held that discussed the Kelly Thomas case. Just hours before this meeting, Five (5) of the six officers were FINALLY placed on paid leave (one officer was already on leave for a different reason) but only after the FPD and City Council realized that this case was not going away, Kelley’s father could not be bought off, and the FBI were going to investigate.

19. This timeline, coupled with the shifting story of the FPD, coupled with the documented culture of corruption of the FPD and the Fullerton City Council, the demonstrated policy of fraudulently creating police reports using videotape and rewriting to make such reports consistent, coupled with the attempt to bribe Kelly Thomas’s father to hide the Kelly Thomas case, I have little trouble concluding that the FPD, some Fullerton City Council members and the Police Union (aka “union thugs”) have NO HONOR and will do whatever it takes to see that these police officers are found innocent.

THE CHARGES

20. Ramos has been charged with one felony count of second degree murder, one felony count of involuntary manslaughter;

21. Jay Cicinelli one felony count of involuntary manslaughter and one felony count of the use of excessive force;

22. Isaiah Simmons, a 17-year-old convicted of armed robbery, died at the Baltimore-area Bowling Brook Preparatory School, a privately run residential program for juvenile offenders. Following an outburst that day, Simmons was set upon by a group of counselors, who, according to the Baltimore Sun, “pinned him face down to the ground, restraining him for about three hours.” After Simmons lost consciousness, the guards waited forty-one minutes before calling 911;

23. The school was shut down in March, the death was ruled a homicide; On January 29, 2008, Carroll Court Circuit Judge Michael Galloway dismissed the last of the charges of reckless endangerment that had been filed against the counselors in the Simmons case.

24. Bowling Brook administrator Brian Hayden said in a prepared statement, “With this dismissal, Judge Galloway affirms that these gentlemen had nothing but the utmost concern for the safety and welfare of Isaiah, and they reacted as quickly and effectively as possible in an effort to avoid this tragedy.”

24b. Simmons’s mother, Felicia Wilson, said she was “devastated and outraged” that charges against the counselors were dismissed. “I have no faith in the Carroll County justice system,” she said. “I’m not going to stop fighting for justice for my son.” Wilson has called for federal charges, and prosecutors plan to file an appeal.

25. Kelly Thomas supports and the citizens of Fullerton should get ready for their “outrage” when these cops are set free.

26. Side note: Don’t think that police officers are not aware of this phenomenon where suspects die when the suspect’s chests are compressed for long periods of time. Thus, if you want to kill a suspect in an apparently nonviolent way, a way that is difficult to prove was murder, simply apply sufficient pressure to the suspect’s back until he becomes comatose (as was done in the Kelley Thomas case if one believes the corner’s reported cause of death). When you hear the suspect cry out that he can breathe, you know you’re getting the pressure right, and simply hold it for sufficient amount time.

THE TRIAL

The trial will likely be a choreographed scam. I would not even be surprised if the DA and the defense team for the police officers (financed by the union thugs) get together and meticulously choreograph what case law will be presented, the best rebuttals to the case law, and the theatrics that will be used during the trial.

As I see it now, the State’s case depends on whether or not the DA can convince a jury that Ramos was committing a crime during the arrest. If so, the murder charge should stick as it does not matter if the death was an accident or completely the fault of Ramos as a death results from a criminal act committed by Ramos.

In contrast, if the jury does not believe that Ramos was committing a crime during the arrest, then the cause of death becomes critical.

This is where the coroner’s report becomes important as it differs in a material way from the UIC Documents. The coroner’s report puts the cause of death as: “mechanical compression of the thorax making it impossible to breathe normally”. The UIC Documents stated that Kelly Thomas died of Blunt Force Trauma to the head (“brain death” due to “head trauma” due to “Assault”). MRI demonstrated diffused supratentorial gray matter infarction consistent with diffused anoxic brain injury.

Diffused anoxic brain injury is consistent with the conclusions of both the coroner and the UIC documents. The difference: if the UIC documents are correct, then Ramos and Cicinelli are guilty of murder as they clearly caused all the head trauma (although Wolfe did to one knee to the head). If the corner is correct, pressure on Kelly’s back cause the death; a cause that cannot be attributed to Ramos alone beyond a reasonable doubt. The corner, DA, union thugs, Fullerton City Council and FPD really had to get together to figure this path out which is why it took so long for the coroner’s report to be made public.

In the end, the trial will be a choreographed circus and the cops will go free because the selected cause of death could not be attributed to Ramos and Cicinelli, there will be outrage among Kelly Thomas supporters, and the Union thugs will get richer off the tax pay money.

If there is to be justice in in Fullerton, it is going to have to come from the people.

Feeling the pressure of mounting investigations launched by citizen activists concerning alien structures and artifacts on the Moon and Mars, the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration has made a bold and incredible move: NASA has announced No-Fly Zones on the Moon.

Although the space agency claims the purpose of the No-Fly Zones are to preserve and protect the historic landing sites of the Apollo astronauts, some question why the zones happen to include regions where heavy attention has been focused—areas where purported alien technology is lying scattered across the lunar soil.

According to official archives more than three dozen Lunar historical sites exist. It may be more than coincidence that many of the strange anomalies and structures are near, or in the same region as, all the Apollo landing and early Lunar space probe sites like Surveyor.

A portion of the NASA statement declares: Apollo 11 and 17 sites [shall] remain off-limits, with ground-travel buffers of 75 metres and 225 meters from each respective lunar lander. [Science journal reported the full guidelines.]

Despite the pronouncement, international attorneys do not believe the space agency has the authority to enforce such a proclamation, nor claim any regions offbounds by nature of “U.S. government property on the moon.” They argue that the United Nations 1967 Outer Space Treaty takes precedence and that no nation can lay claim to any portion of the Moon.

Despite that, NASA is desperate other countries will abide by its announcement—after all, more than 40 years of cover-up is at stake as well as the reputation and future funding of the currently beleagured agency.

While NASA takes pains that it's only doing this to protect astronauts' discarded food and feces, the argument itself is specious. The real purpose of the No-Fly Zones—alleged by some researchers—is to dissuade upcoming lunar missions by other countries including Japan, India and China from "spilling the beans" on what's really up there.

Publicly, NASA says they were moved to act because of the announcement by Google's Lunar-X Prize. The Internet giant has created a contest awarding a monetary prize to the first private company that can land a robotic craft on the Moon, travel across the surface and transmit clear images. Google has sweetened the pot with the offer to add bonus money for a landing close to any of the Apollo sites.
Whether any of the up-and-coming spacefaring nations will abide by NASA's No-Fly Zones—especially if they discover hard evidence of ancient alien artifacts—is unknown. They probably won't abide by the NASA restrictions.
But unquestionably, the worried space agency desperately hopes they do.

Here in Admiral Richard Byrd's own words is the story of his trip to the world inside our Earth. Yes, I believe he was serious, but do I believe in the hollow earth? I'm not sure, truthfully. I do know there are people, serious people who do, but I'm not sure. I've read and been told that there are passages through Mount Shasta and other volcanic mountains around the world, as well as at both poles. I have books that tell about how as you get closer to the entrances at the poles it gets warmer. My doubts stem I think from the teaching we all got that the core is solid, etc. so it seems way out there. I first came across this in the 70's and have doubts, even now. I've always wanted to try the entances at Mt Shasta, but never could. Anyway enough, you make up your own mind.

The exploration flight over the North Pole (The Inner Earth My Secret Diary)

I must write this diary in secrecy and obscurity. It concerns my Arctic flight of the nineteenth day of February in the year of Nineteen and Forty Seven. There comes a time when the rationality of men must fade into insignificance and one must accept the inevitability of the Truth! I am not at liberty to disclose the following documentation at this writing ... Perhaps it shall never see the light of public scrutiny, but I must do my duty and record here for all to read one day. In a world of greed and exploitation of certain of mankind can no longer suppress that which is truth.

FLIGHT LOG: BASE CAMP ARCTIC, 2/19/1947

0600 Hours- All preparations are complete for our flight north ward and we are airborne with full fuel tanks at 0610 Hours.

0620 Hours- fuel mixture on starboard engine seems too rich, adjustment made and Pratt & Whitney’s are running smoothly.

0730 Hours- Radio Check with base camp. All is well and radio reception is normal.

0740 Hours- Note slight oil leak in starboard engine, oil pressure indicator seems normal, however.

0800 Hours- Slight turbulence noted from easterly direction at altitude of 2321 feet, correction to 1700 feet, no further turbulence, but tail wind increases, slight adjustment in throttle controls, aircraft performing very well now.

0815 Hours- Radio Check with base camp, situation normal.

0830 Hours- Turbulence encountered again, increase altitude to 2900 feet, smooth flight conditions again.

0910 Hours- Vast Ice and snow below, note coloration of yellowish nature, and disperse in a linear pattern. Altering course foe a better examination of this colour pattern below, note reddish or purple colour also. Circle this area two full turns and return to assigned compass heading. Position check made again to base camp, and relay information concerning colorations in the Ice and snow below.

0910 Hours- Both Magnetic and Gyro compasses beginning to gyrate and wobble, we are unable to hold our heading by instrumentation. Take bearing with Sun compass, yet all seems well. The controls are seemingly slow to respond and have sluggish quality, but there is no indication of Icing!

0915 Hours- In the distance is what appear to be mountains.

0949 Hours- 29 minutes elapsed flight time from the first sighting of the mountains, it is no illusion. They are mountains and consisting of a small range that I have never seen before!

0955 Hours- Altitude change to 2950 feet, encountering strong turbulence again.

1000 Hours- We are crossing over the small mountain range and still proceeding northward as best as can be ascertained. Beyond the mountain range is what appears to be a valley with a small river or stream running through the centre portion. There should be no green valley below! Something is definitely wrong and abnormal here! We should be over Ice and Snow! To the portside are great forests growing on the mountain slopes. Our navigation Instruments are still spinning, the gyroscope is oscillating back and forth!

1005 Hours- I alter altitude to 1400 feet and execute a sharp left turn to better examine the valley below. It is green with either moss or a type of tight knit grass. The Light here seems different. I cannot see the Sun anymore. We make another left turn and we spot what seems to be a large animal of some kind below us. It appears to be an elephant! NO!!! It looks more like a mammoth! This is incredible! Yet, there it is! Decrease altitude to 1000 feet and take binoculars to better examine the animal. It is confirmed - it is definitely a mammoth-like animal! Report this to base camp.

1030 Hours- Encountering more rolling green hills now. The external temperature indicator reads 74 degrees Fahrenheit! Continuing on our heading now. Navigation instruments seem normal now. I am puzzled over their actions. Attempt to contact base camp. Radio is not functioning!

1130 Hours- Countryside below is more level and normal (if I may use that word). Ahead we spot what seems to be a city!!!! This is impossible! Aircraft seems light and oddly buoyant. The controls refuse to respond!! My GOD!!! Off our port and star board wings are a strange type of aircraft. They are closing rapidly alongside! They are disc-shaped and have a radiant quality to them. They are close enough now to see the markings on them. It is a type of Swastika!!! This is fantastic. Where are we! What has happened? I tug at the controls again. They will not respond!!!! We are caught in an invisible vice grip of some type!

1135 Hours- Our radio crackles and a voice comes through in English with what perhaps is a slight Nordic or Germanic accent! The message is: “Welcome, Admiral, to our domain. We shall land you in exactly seven minutes! Relax, Admiral, you are in good hands.” I note the engines of our plane have stopped running! The aircraft is under some strange control and is now turning itself. The controls are useless.

1140 Hours- Another radio message received. We begin the landing process now, and in moments the plane shudders slightly, and begins a descent as though caught in some great unseen elevator! The downward motion is negligible, and we touchdown with only a slight jolt!

1145 Hours- I am making a hasty last entry in the flight log. Several men are approaching on foot toward our aircraft. They are tall with blond hair. In the distance is a large shimmering city pulsating with rainbow hues of colour. I do not know what is going to happen now, but I see no signs of weapons on those approaching. I hear now a voice ordering me by name to open the cargo door. I comply.

From this point I write all the following events here from memory. It defies the imagination and would seem all but madness if it had not happened.

The radioman and I are taken from the aircraft and we are received in a most cordial manner. We were then boarded on a small platform-like conveyance with no wheels! It moves us toward the glowing city with great swiftness. As we approach, the city seems to be made of a crystal material. Soon we arrive at a large building that is a type I have never seen before. It appears to be right out of the design board of Frank Lloyd Wright, or perhaps more correctly, out of a Buck Rogers setting!! We are given some type of warm beverage which tasted like nothing I have ever savoured before. It is delicious. After about ten minutes, two of our wondrous appearing hosts come to our quarters and announce that I am to accompany them. I have no choice but to comply. I leave my radioman behind and we walk a short distance and enter into what seems to be an elevator. We descend downward for some moments, the machine stops, and the door lifts silently upward! We then proceed down a long hallway that is lit by a rose-colored light that seems to be emanating from the very walls themselves! One of the beings motions for us to stop before a great door. Over the door is an inscription that I cannot read. The great door slides noiselessly open and I am beckoned to enter. One of my hosts speaks. “Have no fear, Admiral; you are to have an audience with the Master...”

I step inside and my eyes adjust to the beautiful coloration that seems to be filling the room completely. Then I begin to see my surroundings. What greeted my eyes is the most beautiful sight of my entire existence. It is in fact too beautiful and wondrous to describe. It is exquisite and delicate. I do not think there exists a human term that can describe it in any detail with justice! My thoughts are interrupted in a cordial manner by a warm rich voice of melodious quality, “I bid you welcome to our domain, Admiral.” I see a man with delicate features and with the etching of years upon his face. He is seated at a long table. He motions me to sit down in one of the chairs. After I am seated, he places his fingertips together and smiles. He speaks softly again, and conveys the following.

“We have let you enter here because you are of noble character and well-known on the Surface World, Admiral.” Surface World, I half-gasp under my breath! “Yes," the Master replies with a smile, “you are in the domain of the Arianni, the Inner World of the Earth. We shall not long delay your mission, and you will be safely escorted back to the surface and for a distance beyond. But now, Admiral, I shall tell you why you have been summoned here. Our interest rightly begins just after your race exploded the first atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. It was at that alarming time we sent our flying machines, the Flugelrads, to your surface world to investigate what your race had done. That is, of course, past history now, my dear Admiral, but I must continue on. You see, we have never interfered before in your race's wars, and barbarity, but now we must, for you have learned to tamper with a certain power that is not for man, namely, that of atomic energy. Our emissaries have already delivered messages to the powers of your world, and yet they do not heed. Now you have been chosen to be witness here that our world does exist. You see, our Culture and Science is many thousands of years beyond your race, Admiral.”

I interrupted, “But what does this have to do with me, Sir?” The Master's eyes seemed to penetrate deeply into my mind, and after studying me for a few moments he replied, “your race has now reached the point of no return, for there are those among you who would destroy your very world rather than relinquish their power as they know it...” I nodded, and the Master continued, “In 1945 and afterward, we tried to contact your race, but our efforts were met with hostility, our Flugelrads were fired upon. Yes, even pursued with malice and animosity by your fighter planes. So, now, I say to you, my son, there is a great storm gathering in your world, a black fury that will not spend itself for many years. There will be no answer in your arms; there will be no safety in your science. It may rage on until every flower of your culture is trampled, and all human things are levelled in vast chaos. Your recent war was only a prelude of what is yet to come for your race. We here see it more clearly with each hour... do you say I am mistaken?”

“No,” I answer, “it happened once before, the dark ages came and they lasted for more than five hundred years.” “Yes, my son,” replied the Master, “the dark ages that will come now for your race will cover the Earth like a pall, but I believe that some of your race will live through the storm, beyond that, I cannot say. We see at a great distance a new world stirring from the ruins of your race, seeking its lost and legendary treasures, and they will be here, my son, safe in our keeping. When that time arrives, we shall come forward again to help revive your culture and your race. Perhaps, by then, you will have learned the futility of war and its strife...and after that time, certain of your culture and science will be returned for your race to begin anew. You, my son, are to return to the Surface World with this message.....”

With these closing words, our meeting seemed at an end. I stood for a moment as in a dream.... but, yet, I knew this was reality, and for some strange reason I bowed slightly, either out of respect or humility, I do not know which.

Suddenly, I was again aware that the two beautiful hosts who had brought me here were again at my side. “This way, Admiral,” motioned one. I turned once more before leaving and looked back toward the Master. A gentle smile was etched on his delicate and ancient face. “Farewell, my son,” he spoke, then he gestured with a lovely, slender hand a motion of peace and our meeting was truly ended. Quickly, we walked back through the great door of the Master's chamber and once again entered into the elevator. The door slid silently downward and we were at once going upward. One of my hosts spoke again, “We must now make haste, Admiral, as the Master desires to delay you no longer on your scheduled timetable and you must return with his message to your race.”

I said nothing. All of this was almost beyond belief, and once again my thoughts were interrupted as we stopped. I entered the room and was again with my radioman. He had an anxious expression on his face. As I approached, I said, “It is all right, Howie, it is all right.” The two beings motioned us toward the awaiting conveyance; we boarded, and soon arrived back at the aircraft. The engines were idling and we boarded immediately. The whole atmosphere seemed charged now with a certain air of urgency. After the cargo door was closed the aircraft was immediately lifted by that unseen force until we reached an altitude of 2700 feet. Two of the aircraft were alongside for some distance guiding us on our return way. I must state here, the airspeed indicator registered no reading, yet we were moving along at a very rapid rate.

ENTRY IN FLIGHT LOG CONTINUES:

215 Hours- A radio message comes through. “We are leaving you now, Admiral, your controls are free. Auf Wiedersehen!” We watched for a moment as the flugelrads disappeared into the pale blue sky. The aircraft suddenly felt as though caught in a sharp downdraft for a moment. We quickly recovered her control. We do not speak for some time; each man has his thoughts....

220 Hours- We are again over vast areas of ice and snow, and approximately 27 minutes from base camp. We radio them, they respond. We report all conditions normal... normal. Base camp expresses relief at our re-established contact.

300 Hours- We land smoothly at base camp. I have a mission...

March 11, 1947. I have just attended a staff meeting at the Pentagon. I have stated fully my discovery and the message from the Master. All is duly recorded. The President has been advised. I am now detained for several hours (six hours, thirty- nine minutes, to be exact.) I am interviewed intently by Top Security Forces and a medical team. It was an ordeal!!!! I am placed under strict control via the national security provisions of this United States of America.

I AM ORDERED TO REMAIN SILENT IN REGARD TO ALL THAT I HAVE LEARNED, ON THE BEHALF OF HUMANITY; Incredible! I am reminded that I am a military man and I must obey orders.

30/12/56: FINAL ENTRY: These last few years elapsed since 1947 have not been kind...I now make my final entry in this singular diary. In closing, I must state that I have faithfully kept this matter secret as directed all these years. It has been completely against my values of moral right. Now, I seem to sense the long night coming on and this secret will not die with me, but as all truth shall, it will triumph and so it shall.

This can be the only hope for mankind. I have seen the truth and it has quickened my spirit and has set me free! I have done my duty toward the monstrous military industrial complex. Now, the long night begins to approach, but there shall be no end. Just as the long night of the Arctic ends, the brilliant sunshine of Truth shall come again... and those who are of darkness shall fall in its Light...

FOR I HAVE SEEN THAT LAND BEYOND THE POLE, THAT CENTER OF THE GREAT UNKNOWN.

Tuesday Lobsang Rampa - The Pineal Gland Is It The Third Eye?

The first time I heard of the Pineal Gland was in a Dr. Tuesday Lobsang Rampa book called the Third Eye. This is a book written by a Tibetan monk who has, he says, transmuted from his dying Tibetan body to an Englishman who wants to leave this world, as I remember he phrases it more or less that way, rather than saying the guy is commiting suicide. At the time from what I read Dr. Rampa, in the body of Cyril Hoskins which was the name of the Englishman, took a lot of heat, as many people didn't believe him. Though many, including me did. I wrote to him years ago and he replied to me and sent a copy of one of his books. I kept them both and they were in my truck when stolen, I think. As I remember he published the books for income to support his research into producing a goggle to allow the average person to see the human aura.
Back to the pineal gland, in his book Dr. Rampa told how he was accepted into the lamasary in Lhasa. After awhile he was started in training to be a Lama. Part of this was having his third eye opened. From here on I'll let Dr. Rampa tell the story, in an exerpt from his first book The Third Eye, of how his third eye was opened and his first reactions to it.

With the death of the day the evening was born, and I went to

the little room where I was to stay. There came the murmur of soft
felt boots on the stone floor outside, and into the room came three
lamas of high degree. They put a herbal compress to my head and
bound it tightly in place. In the evening the three came again, and
one was the Lama Mingyar Dondup. Carefully the compress was
removed, and my forehead wiped clean and dry. A strong-looking
lama sat behind me and took my head between his knees. The
second lama opened a box and removed an instrument made of
shining steel. It resembled a bradawl except that instead of having
a round shaft, this one was “U”-shaped, and in place of a point
there were little teeth around the edge of the “U”. For some
moments the lama looked at the instrument, and then passed it
through the flame of a lamp to sterilize it. The Lama Mingyar
Dondup took my hands and said, “This is quite painful, Lobsang,
and it can only be done while you are fully conscious. It will not
take very long, so try to keep as still as you can.” I could see
various instruments laid out, and a collection of herbal lotions,
and I thought to myself: “Well, Lobsang, my boy, they will finish
you one way or the other and there is nothing you can do about
it—except keep quiet!”
The lama with the instrument looked round to the others, and
said: “All ready? Let us start now, the sun has just set.” He pressed
the instrument to the centre of my forehead and rotated the handle.
For a moment there was a sensation as if someone was pricking
me with thorns. To me it seemed that time stood still. There was
no particular pain as it penetrated the skin and flesh, but there
was a little jolt as the end hit the bone. He applied more pressure,
rocking the instrument slightly so that the little teeth would fret
through the frontal bone. The pain was not sharp at all, just a
pressure and a dull ache. I did not move with the Lama Mingyar
Dondup looking on; I would rather have died than make a move
or outcry. He had faith in me, as I in him, and I knew that what he
did or said was right. He was watching most closely, with a little
pucker of muscles in tension at the corners of his mouth. Suddenly
there was a little “scrunch” and the instrument penetrated the
bone. Instantly its motion was arrested by the very alert operator.
He held the handle of the instrument firmly while the Lama
Mingyar Dondup passed him a very hard, very clean sliver of
wood which had been treated by fire and herbs to make it as hard
as steel. This sliver was inserted in the “U” of the instrument and
slid down so that it just entered the hole in my head. The lama
operating moved slightly to one side so that the Lama Mingyar
Dondup could also stand in front of me. Then, at a nod from the
latter, the operator, with infinite caution, slid the sliver farther and
farther. Suddenly I felt a stinging, tickling sensation apparently
in the bridge of my nose. It subsided, and I became aware of
subtle scents which I could not identify. That, too, passed away
and was replaced by a feeling as if I was pushing, or being pushed,
against a resilient veil. Suddenly there was a blinding flash, and at
that instant the Lama Mingyar Dondup said “Stop” For a
moment the pain was intense, like a searing white flame. It
diminished, died and was replace by spirals of colour, and globules
of incandescent smoke. The metal instrument was carefully
removed. The sliver of wood remained, it would stay in place for
two or three weeks and until it was removed I would have to stay
in this little room almost in darkness. No one would see me except
these three lamas, who would continue my instruction day by day.
Until the sliver was removed I would have only the barest neces-
sities to eat and drink. As the projecting sliver was being bound in
place so that it could not move, the Lama Mingyar Dondup
turned to me and said: “You are now one of us, Lobsang. For the
rest of your life you will see people as they are and not as they
pretend to be.” It was a very strange experience to see these men
apparently enveloped in golden flame. Not until later did I realize
that their auras were golden because of the pure life they led, and
that most people would look very different indeed.
As my new-found sense developed under the skilful ministra-
tions of the lamas I was able to observe that there were other
emanations extending beyond the innermost aura. In time I was
able to determine the state of a person's health by the colour and
intensity of the aura. I was also able to know when they were
speaking the truth, or otherwise, by the way the colours fluctuated.
But it was not only the human body which was the subject of my
clairvoyance. I was given a crystal, which I still have, and in its use
I had much practice. There is nothing at all magical in
crystals. They are merely instruments. Just as a microscope, or
telescope, can bring normally invisible objects into view by using
natural laws, so can a gazing-crystal. It merely serves as a focus
for the Third Eye, with which one can penetrate any person's
subconscious and retain the memory of facts gleaned. The crystal
must be suited to the individual user. Some persons work best
with a rock crystal, others prefer a ball of glass. Yet others use a
bowl of water or a pure black disc. No matter what they use, the
principals involved are the same.
For the first week the room was kept in almost complete darkness.
The following week just a glimmer of light was admitted, the
amount increasing as the end of the week drew close. On the
seventeenth day the room was in full light, and the three lamas
came together to remove the sliver. It was very simple. The night
before my forehead had been painted with a herbal lotion. In the
morning the lamas came and, as before, one took my head between
his knees. The operator took hold of the projecting end of the
wood with an instrument. There was a sudden sharp jerk—and
that is all there was to it. The sliver was out. The Lama Mingyar
Dondup put a pad of herbs over the very small spot left, and
showed me the sliver of wood. It had turned as black as ebony
while in my head. The operator lama turned to a little brazier and
placed the wood upon it together with some incense of various
kinds. As the combined smoke wafted to the ceiling, so was the
first stage of my initiation completed. That night I fell asleep with
my head in a whirl; what would Tzu look like now that I saw
differently? Father, mother, how would they appear? But there
was no answer to such questions yet.
In the morning the lamas came again and examined me care-
fully. They said that I could now go out with the others, but told
me that half my time would be spent with the Lama Mingyar
Dondup, who would teach me by intensive methods. The other
half of my time would be spent attending classes and services, not
so much for the educational side, but to give me a balanced outlook
by mixing. A little later I would be taught by hypnotic methods as
well. For the moment I was mainly interested in food. For the past
eighteen days I had been kept on a very small allowance, now I
intended to make up for it. Out of the door I hurried, intent only
on that thought. Approaching me was a figure smothered in blue
smoke, shot through with flecks of angry red. I uttered a squeak
of alarm and dashed back into the room. The others looked up at
my horrified expression. “There's a man on fire in the corridor,” I
said. The Lama Mingyar Dondup hurried out and came back
smiling. “Lobsang, that is a cleaner in a temper. His aura is smoky-
blue as he is not evolved, and the flecks of red are the temper
impulses showing. Now you can again go in search of that food
you want so much.”
It was fascinating meeting the boys I knew so well, yet had not
known at all. Now I could look at them and get the impression of
their true thoughts, the genuine liking for me, the jealousy from
some, and the indifference from others. It was not just a matter of
seeing colours and knowing all; I had to be trained to understand
what those colours meant. My Guide and I sat in a secluded alcove
where we could watch those who entered the main gates. The
Lama Mingyar Dondup would say: “The one coming, Lobsang,
do you see that thread of colour vibrating above his heart? That
shade and vibration indicates that he has a pulmonary disease”,
or, perhaps at an approaching trader: “Look at this one, look at
those shifting bands, those intermittent flecks. Our Brother of
Business is thinking that he may be able to delude the stupid
monks, Lobsang, he is remembering that he did so once before.
To what petty meanness’s men will stoop for money !” As an aged
monk approached, the Lama said: “Watch this one carefully,
Lobsang. Here is a truly holy man, but one who believes in the
literal word-for-word accuracy of our Scriptures. You observe
those discolorations in the yellow of the nimbus? It indicates that
he has not yet evolved far enough to reason for himself.” So it
went on, day after day. Particularly with the sick we used the power
of the Third Eye, for those who were sick in the flesh or sick in the
spirit. One evening the Lama said: “Later we shall show you how
to shut the Third Eye at will, for you will not want to watch
people's failings all the time, it would be an intolerable burden.
For the moment use it all the time, as you do your physical eyes.
Then we will train you to shut it and open it at will as you can the
other eyes.”
Many years ago, according to our legends, all men and women
could use the Third Eye. In those days the gods walked upon the
earth and mixed with men, Mankind had visions of replacing the
gods and tried to kill them, forgetting that what Man could see the
gods could see better. As a punishment, the Third Eye of Man was
closed. Throughout the ages a few people have been born with the
ability to see clairvoyantly; those who have it naturally can have
its power increased a thousand fold by appropriate treatment, as I
had. As a special talent it had to be treated with care and respect.
The Lord Abbot sent for me one day and said: “My son, you now
have this ability, an ability denied to most. Use it only for good,
never for self gain. As you wander in other countries you will meet
those who would have you behave as a conjurer in a fair. “Prove
us this, prove us that', they will say. But I say, my son, that this
must not be. The talent is to enable you to help others, not to
enrich self. Whatever you see by clairvoyance—and you will see
much!—do not disclose it if it will harm others or affect their
Path through Life. For Man must choose his own Path, my son,
tell him what you will, he will still go his own way. Help in sickness,
in suffering, yes, but do not say that which may alter a man's
Path.”
