It's my mom's birthday yesterday but we chose to celebrate her special day last Saturday. We went to Lake Villa in Tayuman, Rizal. A resort just a few minutes from our home. We've been to this place for a lot of times that's why we're very much accustomed. We were also lucky that the resort was not crowded during our stay. It felt like we had rented a private pool.

The celebration was double the fun since our relatives from Laguna and the family of my brother in law was with us. Of course, mom was the most happy. It's her 78th birthday and she told us she can't ask for more. She was so blessed to have all of us. And she's thankful to God for this wonderful day.

IT'S ALL WORTH IT

Despite all the hardships that I have encountered in yesterday's election, I may say that it was all worth it. It's actually my first time to have experienced waiting in the long lines which took me two hours just to cast my vote. I was a bit discouraged when I started falling in line. I even thought of coming back to home. But then I realized that I wanted to be part of the very first ever poll automation. "Just a little sacrifice", I told myself. Good thing that I was with my sis and her hubby. We started talking with some familiar faces, then meeting new friends. After a few minutes my brother in law bought something to drink 'coz we were really thirsty.

When I'm finally done with my voting, it felt really, really good. After seeing the confirmation in the PCOS machine I felt very relieved and fulfilled.

It was all worth it 'coz I can proudly say that I have taken my part as a responsible Filipino citizen in the first automated election.

Well, let's just hope and pray for the successful result. That the true mandate of the Filipino people will prevail.

MY COLLEGE FRIENDS

At last, I was able to get in touch with my college friends and we're able to meet personally. I must give credit to Facebook. Such a big, big help to search and be connected with friends. Though we're only three since our other friends are now based in other countries.

For almost 1o years of not seeing each other, It was such a great feeling knowing that the love & the warmth of our friendship still lives on.

We chose to dine at H.K. Choi resto @ the Atrium in Megamall were we had our "making up for the lost times" bonding.

SUMMER CAMP 2010

Hello everyone! I just came back from a 2-day Summer Camp Fellowship which was held @ Villa Dominga Forest Resort in Cavite City. It's our 4th time in the place so it felt like home.

We're fortunate to have found a venue that's so perfect for our fellowship. We always feel comfortable since the owner of the place is very accommodating.

We had a few moments to relax after our afternoon service. The kids had their chance to dip in the pool while we were busy with our picture taking.

JOSH' PREP GRADUATION

Last March 22, my nephew Josh graduated from Preparatory School at St. Audrey Learning Center. Although he was first in his class last year, we're still thankful to God that he is 2nd honor this year.

He was a bit sad after the graduation rites. When I asked him why? He told me that he's going to miss his classmates and teachers, and the school itself since he has studied there for three consecutive years for his nursery, kindergarten and preparatory.

I just told him not to be sad anymore coz on his grade school he'll be studying in a bigger school together with his cousin and that he will meet new friends as well.

He got excited then and forgot all about his sadness.

~ I usually decide immediately. I love adventures. I'm an impulsive buyer. I know what I want in life and who I like. So I guess that makes me the type of person who jumps into new ventures.

2. Who do you feel believes in you the most?

~ My family, my Pastor and my very close friends.

3. When was the last time you were on a stage?

~ Last year, when I had an award for loyalty to our company.

4. Tell us about the worst boss you ever had.

~ Oh! That was a long, long time ago. I almost forgot his full name. I was doing a daily recon that was being reported by my boss to the President of the company. The worst thing was, he took all the credits.

5. If the NCAA Men’s or Women’s Final Four basketball tournament was played in your hometown arena or within easy driving distance from where you live, would you try to attend one the three games?

~ Of course! I love basketball.

6. Of all the clothes you own, what do you feel most comfortable wearing, and why?

~ My sleepwear. It's so comfy and it makes me feel and think that finally it's time to rest.

7. On what television show—either past or present—would you like to make to make a guest appearance, and what role would you play?

~ I would love to play the role of Wonder Woman. It's my all time fave ever since I was a kid.

8. St. Patrick’s Day is on Wednesday March 17th. Do you celebrate and wear green? Drink Green Beer? Ignore it?

~ Just ignore it. We don’t have a St. Patrick's Day here.

9. If a leprechaun told you that you could have any amount of money from his pot of gold but it had to be a specified amount for a specified item, how much would you ask for and what would it be for?

~ $100,000, I’ll donate it to charity and to our church.

It was a fun filled night during our Golden Jubilee celebration of my high school alma mater. It's great to see old familiar faces not only from our batch but from the others as well.

Am really glad I was able to attend this very important occasion. It was my dear friend Meriam who insisted that I join them even just for a while since it was really late when I came home from work.

Anyway, I'm really thankful to her 'coz it's such a wonderful experience to witness this remarkable event.

A UNIQUE VALENTINE'S DAY CELEBRATION

We just came from a Bible Study which was held at a church mate's residence who happens to be the mother in law of my sister. They have transferred to a new house last year and we decided to visit her place. We believe that opening the word of the Lord thru a Bible Study is one way of welcoming the spirit of God in our homes. And it certainly gives a lot of blessing in our lives.

It was indeed a unique celebration of Valentine's Day. All of us had experienced a very significant date with the Lord.

NO NEGATIVITY

I was waiting for the late evening news last night. Then I happen to hear a very positive words from young actress Anne Curtis in an interview. "No negativity", it was her reply to a showbiz reporter. I actually have no idea what's the issue was all about. I just heard her saying that this year 2010, she chose not to entertain any negative or ill feeling towards anyone and will just concentrate on her work.

Well, Anne & I have the same objective this year. Though there are times that I can't help to be affected with other people who are just soooo "nega"

Anyway, what's really important is the spirit. Oh I mean, the will to be optimistic. So my advice to all of you guys is to always look on the bright side of things.

So! No negativity, please!

DECEMBER CAMP FELLOWSHIP 2009

At last I was able to post our December Camp Fellowship last year.

And I would like to share that it was a great blessing to our church. We had series of services for four days from December 24-27. We also had special activities such as communion & feet washing, youth service, bonfire and baptism. It was a indeed wonderful experience to all of us.

Of course, our fellowship would not be complete without picture taking.

CATS ELECTION PULSE

I was assigned to form a team for a survey or should I say a pulse for the coming election. During our meeting prior to this activity, we decided to call it "CATS Election Pulse. At first I was really hesitant to accept the responsibility. But when they told me that it was just for fun and that it was a request from a very important person. Well, there's really no point of turning it down.

It was conducted during our 20th Anniversary & Christmas Party. We came very early @ the venue to be able not to miss out any single employee. We're expecting at least 400 voters for both President & Vice President.

Fortunately, the pulse turned out well. All our employees were very cooperative and supportive.

Just in case you're interested whose names got the most number of votes for the Presidential & Vice Presidential race. Oh well, I'll let you guess with my clues. First clue, they are both leading in almost all the pulse nationwide. Second, they are both senators. And third, they are in the same political party.

Very easy right. I hope you got it!
