The Sufi saint Abu Sa’id wrote: “The path of Sufism consist of taking one step - a step outside yourself toward God.”
Of course, I’d change this this to say “The path of Self Discovery consist of taking one step - a step outside yourself toward God.” ...

I love listening to the sound of a flute .... it brings me pause ... which lets me sink deeper and deeper into what is here ... lets me appreciate the now ... just as it is ... no assessment ... no qualifications ... just pure and simple acceptance of this ordinary yet magnificent moment.
Reading or listening to mystical poetry is like listening to the flute ... it brings a gentle pause ... a resting of the mind ... reminds me of the simple inescapable truths ... of that which really counts in life ... its like smelling the sweet fragrance of flowers; when on a walk. In this resting the mind has the space to see and acknowledge its source ... That which is always here ...
Hope, faith, beliefs, dreams, destiny, purpose ... seeking ... all can be seen for what they are in these precious pauses ...

In my journey I’ve discovered that the simple truth of “here and now” has been made into a cliche’ ... unfortunately that just seems to be the nature of things.
The reality is that the simple act of sinking or resting into the “here and now” allows a shining of the light on the Mystery ... A glimpse maybe ? ...
Its no wonder that my eye landed on Nirmala’s poem that reminds one that indeed “It is here ...”
