Juergen Teller, a photographer that inspires me. Punkt. Nah, this is not going to be another hymn of praise. I just stumbled across these nice pictures of the Marc Jacobs SS12 campaign. Model is the bjorky (mixed Björk & corky) and very magnificent Xiao-wen Ju.

2011 was a great year for me. It was a year of enormous changes but rather mentally than physically. So, the simple plan for 2012 is: GET SHIT DONE.

In case you were wondering what I've been up to: I was intensely thinking about the question, if should get my head shaved.

Okay - that was a quite dramatic introduction and it's also not exactly the truth. I'm pretty positive about the fact, that I will most likely never shave my head. At least not completely. But I have been missing my boy-looking half of a head. I adore short hair on women and moreover, I LOVE the way it feels. This might sound weird but when I had a sidecut, I really enjoyed stroking the bristly hair or more easily letting it get touched by the boyfriend.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to solve this sidecut-situation in consideration of the current dustmob-situation that is going on on my head.

Apart from this aka what I've been really up to: I had an amazing shoot this Monday. Hope to share the result within the next few days. Pre-Christmas madness has taken over and I'm lagging with editing.

Exhibition: 27 fotografische Positionen

Photography exhibition "27 fotografische Positionen" opened at Kunsthalle am Hamburger Platz yesterday and it was a truly delightful evening.
To be perfectly honest: I didn't actually care about the exhibition. I came for Paris Suit Yourself. I expected a lot but in the end they BLEW ME AWAY. I shouldn't even try to put into words what I felt but I can't resist: I felt like I was fucked for the first time. Fucked with all of the energy, existing on this planet. I was close to tears.

The exhibition itself shows a refreshing mix of mainly analogue photographs. Colorful, black & white, motifs at ease, well worth seeing. Go see.

The Hat

Let me tell you something, you probably didn't know: I love hats, I love them bad. No matter if on a men's or women's head. A hat on a head automatically creates a really chic - but edgy - mood and that's what I love about it. This is by far not the first attempt of actually (that means for more than 5 minutes) wearing a hat. I own quite a few but somehow I never really became friends with the idea of carrying such a huge and uncontrollable something on my head. It just didn't feel right and I have to admit, it still feels pretty weird nowadays. The worst part about trying out something new are the staring people. If you don't feel confident, they will smell your fear and stare you into the ground.

Anyway. What do you think? Looking right or wrong?

BRAIN JOURNEY ROTATION

Hi. This is the new face of runawayfromhome.org, in the meanwhile I lost my own one. The label links aren't working yet but I'm working on it. I wanted the layout to appear a little more organzied and spacious.

I hope to share some of my new works soon but somehow I thought it was a good idea to produce series from now on and bring the one-piece-attitude to an end. We will see if this was actually a good idea but fact is, that it takes perceived thousand of years to complete one fucking project, especially when your dependend from exterior influences like availabilty of models, good weather and brainmess.

But these are no complaints. For now, it's good to go with the flow and as long as I have the feeling that there is honest growth, I don't need a fucking face.

Saturday Night Situation

It's saturday night and I'm at home trying to get over with some nasty uni stuff. As if this wasn't enough I spent my day running around town like a crazy person, collecting stuff for the shoot tomorrow. OF COURSE I didn't get everything I wanted, so I have to get up extra early tomorrow and take care of this problem, before attending a job interview, before shooting.

I don't even know what happened. This doesn't really sound like myself but right now I'm thrilled and I'll be rolling with that.
