I think these shots might be the last rose-shots this year. They did not last until Christmas eve this year, They gave in one week early, due to heavy snow and cold weather.

They will be back next year, as will I ;)

No more than a mile and a half from where I captured the roses shown in my previous post, is Myrdalsvannet. It's almost on the same altitude as I live, but there are hill tops all around it and there is always a freezing breeze coming down the river from the colder mountains.

Just where the cold breeze hits the slightly warmer air, things tend to get covered in frost while the rest of nature

My roses have been through 2 tough summers. We've been doing a lot of reconstruction in the garden, and have moved them around.

Last year we decided we did not have time to keep all the flowerbeds tidy, and decided to convert the area to something useful. Then, one of the supporting walls gave in to the heavy snow and ice this previous winter, and we had to do some major changes this summer.

Last night I posted a picture of the moon at night. Today's shot was taken this morning. The moon looks different in the morning, and I guess the angle has shifted.

What you do not see, is the clear blue skies around the moon. The moon is so bright, when you use it as a light reference to get all the details, everything else turns "black".

I really love taking a long walk on a sunny autumn evening. Especially around sunset. It's like a magical hour, when the redness of the sun set the red, brown and orange in the nature on fire. The colours you can see are just amazing. I was lucky enough to have the camera with me on such a day this week. And here are the re results.

The first shot is a experimental photo of the sunset, where

Here's a different kind of sky-watch from me.

Monday night we had the most spectacular northern lights over Bergen, but I was sound asleep and knew nothing about it until I read about it in the papers the next day.

But as the forecast for Tuesday night was looking good, and we had clear skies, a bunch of us headed up to one of the hills around Bergen to capture the event.

Sadly the

A business trip took brought me to Rome in the middle of October. I've never been to Rome before, so I was pretty excited.

Unfortunately, I did not have any extra time off to explore this amazing city, and I knew my two days in Rome would be packed with a strict schedule. I planned for a quick sightseeing on the the evening I arrived. But the (Roman) gods wouldn't let me have it my way. My

I'm still a few weeks behind with my photographs, so this will also be a post about something we did a couple of weeks back.

One of the car-dealers in town had teamed up with the veteran car club and held an exhibition back in September.

Jr. was very excited, and had a great time. needles to say, so did I. I could have spent many hours behind the camera.

It was hard to take "clean" pictures

We had to take a second trip with Gamle Vossabanen again this summer. Sebastian kept talking about the first trip this year, over and over again.

On a grey and rainy day, we brought Mormor and Aunty with us on the ride. Needless to say, Jr. was in heaven for two hours :)

And since we had company, I got some time off and got to take some new shots. I don't know how many times I've been down

The summer is gone, and the autumn is already here. I find autumn to be a great time to take pictures of nature. There are so many wonderful colors around us.

Here are a few shots I captured at my mom's cabin two-three weeks ago. It happened to at the peak of the mushroom season. Some of them would do great on a plate, accompanying a leg of lamb or something similar. Others are quite

A few weeks ago, Sebastian and I spent a weekend with his farmor. We didn't have any plans, but as the weather turned out pretty nice, we made a day-trip to the cabin. Sebastian was asking all day if we could make a boat trip (as we did on the previous visit).

I wasn't really in the mood for a boat-ride alone with him, but my mom's partner was kind enough to offer Sebastian and me a ride.
