What is honestly wrong with a heated rivalry?

We've all been in some sort of a rivalry. During that time, the two clans are meant to hate each other if it isn't a friendly rivalry, and I believe that as long as the trash talking/actions of the clans stays clan related and game related, there is nothing wrong with it. Why is it then clans now will make up excuses to avoid their rivals in the wilderness, and will resort to petty flame baits on these forums.

I am all for the trash talking. I think it really brings out the best of both clans if done properly. As long as someone is able to leave the real life flaming out of it, it's healthy in my opinion. However, most people do not share my opinion. I am not going to bring any clan (including my own) into this discussion, but I'd like to know what exactly is the reason for why clans are "turned off" from fighting a clan that flames them. Wouldn't that encourage them to muster together everything they are capable of and beating that clan on the battlefield? There is nothing more hurtful to a clan's pride than to lose on the battlefield after talking countless hours of trash talking.

I feel that clans have become soft in this aspect. Not all clans, obviously because there is always exceptions. I really feel this is why we don't see the rivalries of the past that we all loved to read about on these forums. They are just non-existent. We will see the top 5 constantly changing opinions on each other by a weekly basis. If there is a rivalry, it dies down after a while because one side just doesn't want to be bothered with it.

Pking Stats?

I was just wondering if people thought that these stats are good enough to pk with and if they are, could you possibly give some tips on what weapons you would use if you had these levels.

Attack: 60
Strength: 60 atm (getting 70 before i pk)
Defence: 1
Range: 70
Prayer: 44
Mage: 43 (thinking about getting 82?)

What weapons I was planning on using were either:

Dragon Dart and Dark Bow spec

Dragon Bolts (e) and Dark Bow spec

Diamond Bolts (e) and Dragon Bolts (e)

Dragon Bolts (e) and DDS spec

MSB with Rune arrows and DDS spec

Dragon Dart and DDS spec

Shouldn't The Cj Tourney Be Delayed?

Hey all, I noticed that spamming is out for a while now and even though it will be coming back as Jagex posted, they said "this is a more complicated problem and will take a little longer. "

I'm guessing their "a little longer" is a few weeks or so, so how exactly will theese larger wars or any war actually be fought out? Half of the people think spam isn't part of a win while the other half think it is. I know that there were definitly be a few clans that will blame the loss on the fact that there wasn't any spam or anything, and then it turns into a weird situation lol, like the "outlasting" idea

So my question to you;-

Should the CJ Tourney be delayed/modified to adjust until Jagex changes the spamming problem back?

I personally think it should be if we can get a definite date on how long it might actually take. The top clans will blame the loss on spam and there are so many excuses currently, I can't imagine the good ones that would come in because of this lol-

Have You/woud You Ever Join A Rival Clan?

The title says it all basically.

Bored so decided to make a new topic.

Anyway I'm just wondering how many people would join or have in the past joined one of their previous clans rivals, if for example your clan died or was closed down.

Personally I have never joined any of my previous clans rivals, infact I preferred to join a clan where it was possible the rivarly may be recreated, for example when I left the TF/'The' era of my clan history I went to BD and a rivarly with Fear/Phobia took place alougth it was on a much much smaller scale to TF and 'The's Rivarly with them, however I still loved hating them :P not in a bad way just made the game more enjoyable.

In my opinion to join one of my previous clans big rivals such as fear, phobia, Anarchy, Wg, or DI for me personally would have been contradicting myself and at the time would proably have required myself to sallow my pride as I liked to flame aswell back then

So would you??

Well, Team nigeria is fairly new. We like to call it a "Summer" team, but if it does succeed we plan to keep it open through the fall. But we need some fights. Being a team and all its extremely hard to find fights, because most clans will not fight you because in there eyes its not worth it. But we need some PKRI's, so if your a clan outside the top 10, Please feel free to come in #Nigerians and contact myself or another staff member for a fight. That would be greatly appreciated.

For all big fights, clans attempt to motivate their members in order to pull as many people as possible. Whether it's spreading propaganda about them, pasting logs or forum screenshots from the opposing clan, making war banners or signatures or even making a pump up motto. All are effective and somewhat over-used. However occasionally you set up a fight, a fight that means a lot more than most. It could be a fight against a rival clan, a fight against a much larger clan or a fight to get out of a slump. The fight itself means a lot and the Leadership must think of fitting motivation to match the importance of it.

My question to you is, what motivates you / your clan? Stressing the importance of a fight and labelling it as a "must win" gets old after you've heard it for a good month. So under what circumstances are you motivated to fight? What is the most motivating speech / motto / signature used within your clan thus far?

Yeah You're Willing But Are You Enjoying?

Well as we can all agree the basic premise of being in a clan is to have fun. I mean why else would you take part in a gaming community for any other reason? That being said, the main activity that warring clans participate in are, you guessed it, warring. A few years ago PKRI's did not last as long as they do today. Normally back then, if a clan was losing, they would call it off. Returning was not a skill as it is nowadays. There were very few PKRI's that lasted more than 6 hours back then. Now if you have a PKRI that is not capped, you go into it knowing you will be at your computer for at least 6 hours (exception of TT).

My question to you is, although PKing is enjoyable, and is why we all play this game, do you enjoy 10+ PKRI's? Do you look forward to them? Do you think that if you are losing, that your leaders should call of returning?

Your Must Wears

Well we all know that most of runescape clan members have they're must wears for wars or a pkri. Such it be, a certain pair of boots or gloves and even a piece of armour. An example of this is ghjjf. Everytime you see him he wears a rune chain and not a rune plate. Most high ranked members and well known members always have something they wear that they are recognized by.

What is your "must" wear?

New Members Living Off A Clans Success

Haven't made a topic in ages, although this has been something that really "eeks" me and is happening more frequently (or so it seems). What basically triggered the topic was a good quote from Hyperion (Vr member) who summed up things fairly well:

What he's referring to is newer members who join a clan and all the sudden think they helped that clan get to where they were. These new members suddenly flame clans ranked below, say things like "you have never and will never beat us!" etc etc, when in reality they've only been a part of the clan for a few weeks or months. Don't get me wrong, being proud of the clan you're in is cool and all but when you have only been a part of a clan for such little time you have no right flaming other clans and using your new clans success and/or achievements as an argument - you didn't help that clan get to where they were/are.

All in all, do you think it's fair for someone who's been in a clan for a short period of time to use that given clans success/achievements as an argument or way to flame? How long should a person be in a clan before he/she can actually do so?

Try not to name specific clans too, will just cause drama. Fact of the matter is though, all clans have newer members who do this so pointing fingers is kinda pointless anyways.

The Moriquendi Celebrates 5 Years

The Moriquendi is celebrating its 5 year anniversary today.

We are one of the few clans that started from the ground up, a rarity these days. When the clan was founded back in 2004, we had no combat requirements and a clan average in the 30s. Our 'wars' had turnouts of 5-6 people in a scattering of mith and d'hide, the highest combat in the 40s. We used a proboards forum.

Mori has come a long way since then, eventually pulling 60-70 people regularly to wars and achieving an 118+ F2P combat average at our peak. The clan landscape has changed dramatically from what it used to be; there have been ups and downs, but what we lack in rank climbing power and maxed ops we make up for in longevity and community.

Over the course of the past 5 years many friendships have been made and transcended beyond the game itself. We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the thousands of people who have passed through our doors, met us in the wilderness, and helped contribute to what we are.

Any former members and old friends, please stop by our forums and say hello ;).

Earlier today I was hanging out in Edgeville and someone approached asking if I knew any respectable top 3 clans he could join, the question isn't what bothered me but rather his choice of words. Is one able to find a “Respectable” clan in the Runescape of today? Was it ever possible?

By quickly skimming over topics in RSC the answer would be a resounding no. Left and right accusations are thrown across the board of No-Honor methods being enlisted for small tactical gains. Examples range from downing TeampSpeak systems to hopping on Non-Pvp for regroups, the evidence of clans giving up anything and everything to obtain a win is massive and unrelenting.

So my question to RSC is this what is the clan worlds definition of respect, do any of the top 10 truly posses it, is it a reasonable standard given the state of the clan world today, lastly what is the most respectable clan of all time and why do you think they deserved this title?

First if you hadn't seen what happened between them, then read VR's victory topic over Collided Titans.
Alright basically, Divine Kings claim that Violent resolution called them but then asked them to leave when they were controlling the fight, something that Divine Kings didn't agree with because they feel their clan isn't a puppet and a tool for VR.

Violent Resolution deny this and claims that DK came in and thought it was TT vs VR and piled Collision along with TT intros, and because of that they asked them to leave but they refused.

Whatever the case is, tension arose between them two clans.

Now what effect do you think this will have on either clans? Will VR starting AC'ing DK's crash trips? Will DK start crashing VR's fights? Do you believe VR will be hunting DK's PK trips? Do you feel either clans will hit a slump because of this and perhaps close? Post anything you feel relevant to the effect this will have on either clans.

Note: I'm actually serious here and not trying to take cheap shots at either clans, I'm rather interested in people's thoughts on this . Would be rather an interesting and a bit heated discussion to say the least.

Round 1 Upsets?

The RSC Clan Tournament 6 started today, with the 1st round with some amazing matches that will be great turnouts. What will make the Tournament great, is alot of clans who dont usually war the higher ranked Clans, will finally get to show what their really made of. In every tournament rather it be a game, or real life, there will be a rags to riches turnout everytime =p.

So hear is the question....

Looking through the categories, and 1st Round matches, who will pull through, and possibly pull a upset?

Would Writing Another Clan History Be Impossible?

Basically what I'm asking is would it be impossible to create another clan history. Like Timmymwd's attempt, which is excellent but lets say a little outdated lol.

Personally I feel it would be brilliant to have another version like timmy's obviosuly not the same layout etc, but an up to date clan history starting from somewhere like the begining of rs2 in my opinion would be a great read. I know lethal axe tried a few years back, not sure exactly why it failed but it was attempted none the less.

I guess there is a number of problems such as;

Who has the time and has been around long enough actively to make one?

Is there enough old school members to help contribute the knowledge needed?

Alot of hard work would be needed, so do you's ever think we'll see another detialed clan history being constructed? These memories shouldnt be swept away.
