After reading some other blogs about running in this same&lt;br /&gt;Blogger network, some more actively competitive athletes / runners&lt;br /&gt;talk about the difficulties they are having. One runner from a blog&lt;br /&gt;called, &quot;a trail runners blog&quot;, who is reknown for Marathon, Ironman,&lt;br /&gt;Ultrarunner, and Trail Running races talks of his setbacks from&lt;br /&gt;injuries. I find that he, along with us, are struggling with a geriatric&lt;br /&gt;problem. Despite the hazy skies from all the&lt;br /&gt;brush fires here in South Florida, I had a wonderful&lt;br /&gt;running session this afternoon. I found a groove and&lt;br /&gt;kept that pace for the full session. It was one of those&lt;br /&gt;moments of solitude; a time just for yourself to be&lt;br /&gt;able to have great thoughts that reinforce a personal&lt;br /&gt;dream; and get some fresh air (no play on words).&lt;br /&gt;What I mean is; some breathing room to think and&lt;br /&gt;dream. I don&#39;t like to make excuses, but it was horrible&lt;br /&gt;the last few times I ran at the Park this month. The Park was ton&#39;d.&lt;br /&gt;How do I explain it? The air/humidity was thick and I felt my lower&lt;br /&gt;body was 2,000lbs. When I ran, it felt as though I had a Super-King-&lt;br /&gt;Sized mattress on it edge, in front of me. The sport is ok to watch and play sometimes, but it&#39;s not fitness&lt;br /&gt;or not long distance running. It&#39;s often not in shape at all. I&#39;m an&lt;br /&gt;Amercian. I Wrestled and played Football. So, what is that supposed&lt;br /&gt;to mean?
