Question by Payback’s A Bitch: Grishko Pointe Shoes………?
I have feet that are about 25.5cm (to be exact) and four inches wide (from my big toe joint to the smallest toe) and my heels are 2 and a half inches wide. I have a pretty good arch (8 if from 1-10, and 1 is flat and 10 is really high arched) and was interested in either of the Ulanova models as well as the 2007 (regular). My question is: What size would I be in all three of the models (size and width as well as if I should get soft or medium shank, etc.)? Which model would you recommend and please don’t tell me to go see a fitter because the only fitter here with grishko is really terrible at fitting and really racist and rude. I went to her once and she wouldn’t let me use my own toe pads (mine are a different kind then what they had). But with what I tried on those three models fit best (the were confortable, etc.). I’m just not to sure of the size with the toe pads. I have the purple ones:

http://host77.hrwebservices.net/suspended.page/

Thanks for the help! I’m sorry it’s so long!
I can’t get fitted for them unless I fly there…and uh, I’m not looking for toe pads.

Quick answer:

Answer by Angel
You should get fitted before you buy new pointe shoes, then they’d let you know which model is the best for your feet. They’ll also measure your feet and have you try on different sizes(:

You get fitted at any dance store that sells dance shoes. You wouldnt have to fly anywhere.

Question by 773ER: Where do I get the visa for Russia for a US citizen?
I am planning on going to moscow in july with my parents for a vacation, which I am hearing isn’t really a good idea but I am still excited. What all do I need as far as visas from america? Where can I get them, how long does it usually take? Also does anyone know how much the tax or other charge is for entering or leaving Russia. Many thanks guys :)

Quick answer:

Answer by Bert
You need to see the site below and read the section on “Entry requirements.” It is a very long section, because getting a visa to travel to Russia is very complicated. There are many restrictions. You and your parents need to apply now for your visas as it can take several weeks at least to get the visas. Use the 2nd site to get all the visa application information and find the nearest consulate to you.

- Borodin: In the Steppes of Central Asia

- Borodin: Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor (some vocals here…)

Quick answer:

Answer by Spellbound
Lenin’s concerns over who was to replace him were largely due to ego, he thought that no-one was capable of seeing Russia’s problems, or the “correct” Marxist solution as clearly as he could. Lenin’s ego was the main reason why no one candidate emerged whilst he was alive.
He was concerned about all the the prospective candidates, seeing such flaws in their characters that he thought none of them were suitable for the position. He outlined all of his concerns in his testament. In many ways he was right, Bolshevism was, in reality, Lenin’s project, anyone who disagreed with him was either thrown out of the party, branded a Menshevik, or worse.

After Lenin’s stroke in 1922, the senior Bolsheviks could not agree on an individual who had the intellectual and moral authority to replace Lenin, so they compromised, and picked three leaders – Stalin, Kamenev and Zinoviev to rule until he either got better or died. This was made official once Lenin died.

His arguments with fellow Marxists went back to his early days in exile, when he disagreed with the founders of the Russia Social Democratic Labour Party Georgi Plekhanov and Pavel Aksel’rod, this disagreement led him to form his own faction of people who followed his ideas – the Bolsheviks.

Thank you everyone! I split a magazine with my friend at a firing range in China and she missed the target completely every time. All my shots were in the 9 and 10 targets but I only counted 11 holes. Maybe my friend used more than 15 trying to hit the target.
