How to Print Etsy Shipping Labels on Your Munbyn Printer

2022-11-11T20:23:00.001-05:00

Hi everyone!

It's been a long time! Recently, I purchased the Munbyn thermal printer (ITPP941 model) to create my Etsy shipping labels, and it was a challenge in the beginning! I wasted a lot of labels because I didn't know what I was doing (lol). After watching Munbyn's videos and playing around with my settings, I figured it out. So I decided to provide the steps for how I set up my Munbyn thermal printer to print my 4x6 in. Etsy shipping labels:

Steps 1 & 2: Set up and calibrate your Munbyn thermal printer:

In the beginning, I made the mistake of thinking that when I placed the labels in the thermal printer and closed the door, the machine automatically calibrated. I thought this because when you close the door, the machine advances approx 3 labels, but this doesn't mean it's calibrated.

In the video by Munbyn, you can see the woman holding down the button at the top of the printer to calibrate the machine.

Step 3: Change your Etsy shipping settings (on desktop and mobile website) to print 4x6 labels:

1. Log in to Etsy and click "Orders and Shipping" on the left.

2. Then, click "Shipping Settings" (settings icon) on the top right.

3. Scroll down to "Shipping label options" and click the option to format your labels for 4x6 label printers.

This step will ensure that when your shipping label files are created, they are formatted to fit the labels in your thermal printer.

Step 4: Change your printer settings:

1. Before printing your labels, change your printer settings to the Munbyn printer and 4x6 in. size labels. If you don't change your settings, only half of your label will print because it will be too big for the label paper.

2. I also clicked "Page Setup" in "Preferences" and changed the type under "Media Type" to "Continuous."

Before I changed the settings, I wasted so many labels due to them being printed the wrong size.

You can also print out a test label on your Munbyn Printer. Please visit the Munbyn website for more information.

"Bike Birthday" Card

Happy Saturday everyone!

In case you missed it.... I've added some new printed cards to my Etsy shop some of which include the "Bike Birthday" cards. The design features one of my digitally drawn designs of a girl on a bike. I really love the color scheme of pink, hot pink, yellow, and purple. I also chose to do one of the designs with a light skin tone and one with a darker skin tone to give you more options.

The birthday card (4.25x 5.5 in) is great to give your little girl or teenager for her birthday. The inside is blank so that you can write your special message. The "Bike Birthday" cards are offered in sets of 2 and 4-card packs on Etsy.

New Handmade Doctor Birthday Card!

2021-01-20T21:12:00.003-05:00

Hey everyone!

I'm excited to show you all the new version of my handmade doctor birthday card called "Happy Birthday Doctor". Back in 2009, I designed a handmade birthday card for one of my customers whose girlfriend was studying to become a doctor, and I wanted to bring the design back. Doctors are some of the essential workers who are fighting on the front lines of covid-19, so I wanted to create a card that would speak to that and our appreciation for them.

My new "Happy Birthday Doctor" card features a hand-drawn cut-out of a doctor in her uniform. You can see from the picture that she has a stethoscope around her neck. Her hair is in a bun. She is standing against a beautiful floral background. Above the doctor are the words, "Happy Birthday Doctor!"

The inside of the card also includes a special message for your doctor. To purchase or view more details about the card, you can visit my Etsy shop here:

New African American Christmas Cards!

2020-11-10T21:16:00.002-05:00

Happy Tuesday everyone!

This weekend, I added a couple of NEW African American Christmas greeting cards to the Ruthie's Greetings Etsy Shop. Both designs were based on past designs. The "Merry Christmas From Me" card features a cut-out of a Black woman with an Afro peaking out of a red and gold gift box. It was based on the "Gift for You" card design that I created for Valentine's Day back in 2010. I thought it would be cute to recreate the design for Christmas because sometimes you are the BEST gift in addition to Jesus (smile).

The "Merry Christmas From Us" greeting card design was based on a custom card I did back in 2013 that featured an African-American couple. After seeing the card, one of my customers wanted a custom version of the card, so I created glasses for the woman on the card. I also gave her locs instead of an Afro.

You can check out my new Christmas cards in my Etsy shop!

Ruthie's Greetings: (NEW) Sympathy Cards for Kids

Happy Saturday, everyone,

I hope you all are having a great start to your weekend. I've added the "Kid Love" African-American Sympathy cards to my Etsy shop. Both cards feature prints of my original digital paintings. The cards are for children who have lost a parent, friend, or another love one. I really love these cards because they are vibrant and comforting. Several years ago, I asked a co-worker what type of cards she likes to buy, and she told me that she always had a problem finding sympathy cards for kids. It can be tough to find the correct words to say to a child who has lost a loved one. I also know what it is like to lose a parent at a young age. This is why I created this line of cards.

Please visit the Ruthie's Greetings Etsy shop for more details!

The last of the new cards that I've recently added are "The Blessed Birthday Girl" card and bookmarks. I know some of you liked the gift tags, so I thought it would be cute to do a card to match. This way, you have a cute little gift pack for your daughter, niece, sister, etc. The inside message of the card really expresses the fact that your recipient is blessed and blesses others around them. I really love the inside message because it stresses the fact that your loved one may have encountered many obstacles, but, by the grace of God they are still here. Please see the figure below for the lovely message. Please visit the Ruthie's Greetings Etsy shop for more information! God wiling, I will give you all another update soon on new items added.
