Email to Case is standard Salesforce.com functionality starting at the Professional Edition. Web to Lead and Web to Case are available starting in the Group Edition. But even in the Enterprise Edition, Email to Lead is not a feature of Salesforce Sales Cloud.

This slick little app allows you to auto-forward your general sales / leads email (info@yourdomain.com or sales@…) to Salesforce.com as Leads.

Use this any time you maintain an email address on your website, but do not do a lot of correspondance directly from the address. Example: sales@yourdomain.com sends to yourname@…. You respond from yourname@…. This way, you carry on an email correspondence in your inbox – not create a new Lead every time you get an email.

Note: If you forward a message from your inbox to sales@yourdomain.com and create a lead that way, YOUR name will be in the Lead name field, not the email you are forwarding. It can, however, still be easier to create the new Lead this way when you are on your mobile device.

This app works on the Enterprise and Unlimited Editions of Salesforce only.
